I purchased a ipod classic on 1/27/13. I now have gotten a red x when I turn it on. Is that covered under the one year warranty?
When I went to the applestore I was told that it was covered for only 90 days. What I read on the website says 1 year. The tech also did not seem to know much about the ipod classic. He was very rude and condescending.

To address the issue with the iPod, if you haven't already done them, I'd like to supply you with the recommended troubleshooting steps for when you see that red "X" icon on your iPod:
Restore iPod from Disk Mode
Disconnect iPod from your computer.
Manually put iPod into Disk Mode.
Open the latest version of iTunes and connect iPod.
Restore iPod.
Setup Service for iPod
If you cannot force your iPod into disk mode and restore it, then your iPod may need service. Click one of the links below to setup an iPod Service Request online or make a reservation at the Genius Bar before visiting your local Apple Retail Store.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
-When it says place the iPod in recovery mode use this program instead of the buttons.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

Yes, AppleCare extends your warranty for another 2 years. It just needs to be purchased and registered before your original one year warranty expires, but can be added at any time during that year.

My screen is cracked, there is a black spot on the actual screen itself on the bottom left corner, an the headphone jack doesn't seem to take different headphones....

However, the broken screen is not covered by the warranty and voids the warranty for the entire iPod.

Is my ipod touch 4g 32gb battery covered by my one year warranty?
At first, my ipod touch 4th generation 32gb was awesome. It was fast and it worked well (I bought it in February of 2012). But then I noticed some differences, it started to get a lot slower and just a few days ago something went wrong with the battery. I fully charged it thenI unplugged it before i went to sleep at 8:30 P.M., i woke up at 7:00 A.M. And it was dead. It also takes about 25 minutes now to start up after it dying and plugging it in to charge. By what i've been told every system comes with a 1-year warranty so i'm still covered. Also apps crash constantly every day. Am i able to send it in for a new one?
Have you tried resetting it and if that did not work, restoring it from a backup and finally restoring it to factory settings? If none of these things helped, this is probably a hardware problem. Apple will replace your iPod with a refurbished 4G 32gb model under the warranty (unless they determine that the problem was cause by accident damage such as dropping it in water).

Games I bought years ago, Texas Holdem and iQuiz will no longer transfer to my iPod Classic. They show in my computer "Apps" but they won't transfer. They no longer show that they can be "Re-Downloaded" from "Previously Purchased" they don't exist there.

I can't sync the Not Afraid music video that I purchased this morning to my iPod Classic. It's frustrating because I have no issues syncing other videos and the rest of the album that this video came with synced just fine. Please help!You can only sync with one iTunes library. If you sync with another one the iPod will be erased and its contents replaced with what is in the library of the second computer.

I have just purchased an ipod classic 160GB and decided to sync my itunes music and videos that I purchased via itunes. All the music sunk but it didnt sync my videos. It said that they were in the wrong format. What to do?? I would have thought if I bought the films from itunes it would be compatible with an ipod classic?? How do you change the video format?
My mistake, it was nothing to do with format. It woldn't sync because my movies were HD. HD movies won't sync to an iopd classic 160 GB but when you purchase a HD movie, itunes gives you a SD vervsion of the movie which is compatible with the ipod. Just needed to go to store, click movies, click purchased and untick the HD box and there you have the SD versions. Download the SD versions and then sync your ipod and bobs you uncle, movies are on the ipod

My iPod classic (2007) 80 GB FROZEN SCREEN (Now Playing window showing the song that is suppose to be playing, will not respond to buttons, Will not SYNC, iTunes does not recognize it AT ALL when I plug it in. I was given an 80gb ipod classic formatted with mac os. Is there any way to connect it to my windows pc so I can transfer the song to my library? The iPod and iTunes are designed so that you cannot transfer music on an iPod to another iTunes Library. This is because the 15,000 songs do not belong to you and you have no legal right to keep them.
