Anyone know why my App Store is saying my billing information is wrong but i know it's right??

Oten when you are attempting to verify your account with iTunes this will happen even thought you believe your provided personal information is all correct from your vantage point. Often what flags this type of issue is that between the user and their bank there will be inconsistencies as simple as the difference between 'Street' and the abreviation 'St."
When you get this type of error message from itunes it is then that the user will need to be in touch with their bank or lending institution that provided the credit and ask them to go over your personal information line by line to verify where the error lies.

For a standard account you need a valid payment method, even for free apps.
You can however create a new account w/o a cc by following these instructions:

When trying to download the free applications from itunes app store its asking about billing information.

then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item (free or paid-for) from the store.

If not then you will need to enter credit card details - you should be able to remove the card after entering it -
i started a download in app store and confirmed the billing information. if i cancel the download will i still pay for it?

There is an earlier thread that was answered by an Apple employee that states they are seeing the iMessage and Facetime servers are down. It is unknown when they will return, however it generally is not an extended period of time.

I want to know why my App Store is not working, and how to fix it?
I have an Ipod Touch 4th generation.
Recently when i go to download an app it wont load and I will get a message saying that it can't conncet with the app store. I have tried turning my ipod on and off, and turning the wifi on and off but nothing is working. I don't know if it's just apple or if it is my ipod. Could someone please help because I really dont want to drive for an hour to get to an apple store.Try:

Pages tells me I need to upgrade to 5.0 to open documents from iCloud, but the mac app store says its already installed and won't let me upgrade. when I check the version of pages I am running it says 4.3. I just want to be able to open documents on my mac that were created on my iPad. How can i get Pages 5.0?
Welcome to Apple Support Communities
You already have got Pages 5.0, but you still have got Pages 4.3, so Pages 4.3 is being opened instead of the newest version, being this the reason why you get a message telling you to update Pages to the most recent version.
If you don't need the old version, open a Finder window, choose Applications in the sidebar and delete the old Pages icon or move it to an external drive. I don't recommend you to do this, as users are complaining about the lack of features of the new version.
Instead, what you can do is to put the new Pages icon in the Dock by dragging it from the Finder window to the Dock, so you can open the new Pages version from the Dock and you can open all your documents with it after opening the application -

Try a hard reset by pressing the Home button and Wake / Sleep button at the same time, keep them both pressed until the Apple Logo appears on the screen.
This does not lose any data on your iPad. -
Does anyone know why the App store keeps repeating that the iTunes update needs to be downloaded?
Just downloaded Yosemite, and then did the update for iTunes. I then noticed that it was still telling me that it needed to be updated, so did it again, thinking it had not worked. Still said it was needing an update. When I opened iTunes it has been updated, but still it says the update is available!
Go into System information (Option key down + apple logo) . Click on Applications and see if iTunes is located in a different location or not.
If you have multiple copies of iTunes and if its the external hard disk . Remove the drive and see if it shows the update again... -
App Store is rejecting my billing information.
My csc cod is correct and all other billing informations are right. I tried itunes on PC and on my iPhone but it didn't work on either.

Every time I try to update or buy an app from the app store it says there is an unknown error
So everytime I try to update an app or buy an app from the app store it says unknown error (4). I don't know why it does this but it's really annoying and it has been like this for a while now. Itunes works perfectly for me. It's just the app store.
Try deleting the cache associated with the App Store.
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store and see if you can update or purchase an app. -
Hello there, I'm new to the Apple world, and I'm still learning my way around.
Why is when I try to download from the App Store, it says "The application cannot be downloaded."
It doesn't ask me for payment or anything. When I click on download, about 10 seconds later, that message pops up and nothing is downloaded onto my laptop. I can download other stuff onto my laptop for e.g. Microsoft Word and other various programs such as Google Chrome from the internet. However, I just cannot download from App Store. Any suggestions on how I can download apps?There is nothing wrong with my iTunes, is more of the App store that I am concerned about. And I've tried the "Authorise this computer" yes it does download when using iTunes, but no luck with App Store. And, yes I am logged onto iTunes when doing purchases.
I find this really fustrating because the App store works fine on my ipod but once it comes to my macbook, it does not download. A few seconds later after I click on an app to download, the pop up message notifies me that the purchase cannot be downloaded.

Your visa card is a credit card, not debit card? Do you meet the requirements as below, interpreted strictly?

I downloaded the LR 4.4 update and get an error message "lightroom quit unexpectedly". Does this with CS6 download as well. Updates from other software providers work fine. Only Adobe software has this issue. Running OS 10.8.3 on a MacPro 6 core.
