Anyone need a File Upload Manager?

Little sample multi-file upload manager I had to write for a
recent project.
It's written in AS2, but I thought it could be useful for
some people so I
threw it up on a page, along with the source. Everything you
need should be
there - if anyone has any comments, suggestions, etc - reply
here as I don't
have a real blog set up right now so there's no comments
section on the
page... I should just do that...
anyway, here ya go:

Looks good Dave, thanks for sharing... I'll definitely take a
look at it when I get a chance.
Re the blog: At least you've got a website. I'm just about
done getting mine ready. Hopefully I'll be able to share some stuff
too.

  • File upload using uiXML and Struts

    Hi,
    I am using Struts as my controller component with uiXML for the UI. I need to add file upload functionality to one of my pages. After a bit of trial-and-error, I figured out that the following code in my uiXML sets me in the right direction -
    <struts:form name="myForm" method="post" beanName="myFormBean" usesUpload="true" destination="/try/SaveTry.do">
    When the "destination" attribute is not specified, the Struts action does not get the file. However, with the changes above, the uploaded file now reaches my Struts action, which does the necessary processing and the Struts controller forwards the control to the next page according to its logic.
    However, at this point, I see the following on the browser -

    Could somebody please let me know if I am missing something? Why is the AbstractPageBroker still kicking in after my file upload has been processed?

  • File Upload/Download, updating to SAP

    Hi All:
    Has anyone implemented the file upload functionality?
    Could you please share the details.... Iam successfully passing the file name from WD but get short dump with

  • File upload in dynamic form

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to create a dynamic form. the input fields for the form come from a database query, and i will be getting back results like:
    input field name data type
    field1 text
    field2 select
    field3 attachment
    I am facing an issue with the attachment type of fields.
    i have tried creating my dynamic form using two different approaches -
    1. use the APEX_ITEM apis
    2. use htp.p to just output html from a pl/sql anonymous block.
    in both the cases, we do not have options to create a file input, not atleast directly.
    Can some one guide me on any existing solutions or approaches to this problem ?
    Note: i would prefer a solution based on the 2nd approach (using htp.p) since it gives me more flexibility with the other handlings.
    APEX_UTIL also doesn't have open APIs for file create, and i also found the radiogroup API not very friendly (did nt get it to work since i moved on to the other approach)
    Regards,
    Ramakrishnan

    Hi, if you want to submit your files, you will need hidden file upload objects in your page. One for each files, so you need to set a limit because you won't be able to submit hundreds of files anyway. Lets say between 5 to 10. Each hidden file upload will have one computation to put the data that will be sent to the server.
    iBEGIN
    IF wwv_flow.g_f01.COUNT > 0
    THEN
    RETURN wwv_flow.g_f01 (1);
    ELSE
    RETURN NULL;
    END IF;
    END;
    Then the only other things you need is an acceptation branching.
    You don't need a process to send those files. When your reload your page, a process should remove the file from APEX_APPLICATION_FILES table to your target table.
    It's Denes Kubicek's solution ! I suggest you to visit his demo website !

  • Help on File Upload on ATG Dynamo 5.6 (Servlet 2.2)

    Hi,
    I am using Apache Common FileUpload to upload a file on the server. It works well on Tomcat . I tried to port the same code on ATG Dynamo 5.6.1, I could not upload the files. After going deep into the problem, I got to know that Apache FileUpload has a dependancy of Servlet 2.3 Specs compliance.
    While I checked the version of Servlet on ATG, it was 2.2.
    Could somebody help me with the same.
    I need some file upload utility that would work on ATG Dynamo.
    Or atleast a way out would do.
    Thanks and regards.....
    Kalpak

    Try to obtain an older version of the commons FileUpload utility if available, which is compatible with your desired version or you can use another utility that supports Servlets 2.0 provided by Oreilly Package...
    The class MultipartRequest authored by oreilly that included in the package holds the whole nasty behind the scenes, here you are the link for the docs
    http://www.stanford.edu/group/coursework/stanfordoki/oreilly/com.oreilly.servlet.MultipartRequest.html
    And you can find the package, examples and the sources here

  • How do you prevent file upload duplicates?

    Portal 3.0.9
    SunOS 5.8
    All,
    Has anyone implemented a file upload portal that checks
    to make sure the same file has not already been uploaded.
    I currently have set up a portlet that allows a user to
    upload files to a database table, but now I would like to
    make sure the user is not sending duplicate files to the
    table. I'm thinking of using JavaScript to capture the
    filename and store it in the table and checking for
    duplicates. Maybe, even setting up the file name column
    as an index. All thoughts are welcome...

  • Error "A web exception has occurred during file upload" when trying to import ESXi image file into Update Manager

    I'm encountering this error and not sure how to fix, I'm quite new to vCenter so please bear with me.
    I'm trying out vCenter 5.1 with Update Manager 5.1 right now.  No license key has been entered and I still have 50 odd days to try it out.
    2 ESXi hosts are being managed by this vCenter, and they're both running ESXi 4.0
    I'm looking to use Update Manager to try to upgrade the ESXi 4.0 hosts to ESXi 5.1
    I downloaded the image file VMware-VIMSetup-all-5.1.0-799735.iso from VMWare website, and is looking to import it using the Update Manager so I can update the ESXi hosts, but I keep on getting the error:
    File name:     VMware-VIMSetup-all-5.1.0-799735.iso
    Failed to transfer data
    Error was: A web exception has occurred during file upload
    I tried importing it by using vSphere client to connect to vCenter server both remotely and locally, with firewall disabled.
    I've read http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1026602
    I've disabled firewall, and there is no anti-virus program on the server.  I've also restarted the machine several times, to no avail, I didn't reinstall update manager because the whole Windows and VCenter installations are clean from scratch.
    I logged into the vSphere Client using Active Directory credentials, and I've made all Domain Admins (which my account is a member of) part of the administrator group on the vCenter server. I can't log in using admin@System-Domain because it tells me I don't have permissions for it, I still haven't really had the chance to figure out why that is and not sure if that makes a difference.
    Also, I'm fairly certain I'm using the right image file, as I've burned some DVD's used that image file to upgrade some other ESXi hosts.  Unless there's a special image file I need to download?
    I'm at lost on what I can do to make it work.  Please advise.
    Thanks.

    The ISO file you mentioned is the one for vCenter Server. What you need is the "VMware-VMvisor-Installer-5.1.0-799733.x86_64.iso" (or VMware-VMvisor-Installer-201210001-838463.x86_64.iso) for the ESXi host.

  • URGENT! File Upload Utility or a Custom UI for File Upload is needed!

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to find or develop a file upload utility or custom user interface rather than editing and adding file type item to a page. There is a free portlet for file upload in Knowledge Exchange resources, but it is for 3.0.9 release. I'm using portal 9.0.2.
    I could not any sample about the new release. Also API such as wwsbr_api that is used to add item to content areas is out dated.
    I create a page with a region for "items". When "edit" page and try to add an "file" type item the generated url is sth like this;
    "http://host:7779/pls/portal/PORTAL.wwv_additem.selectitemtype****"
    After selecting item type as a simple file autogenerated url is sth. like ;
    "http://host:7779/pls/portal/PORTAL.wwv_add_wizard.edititem"
    I made search about these API but could not find anything (in PDK PL/SQL API help, too).
    I need this very urgent for a proof of consept study for a customer.

    Hi masters,
           i need some inforamtion and documentation on file upload program in web dynpro java

    Hi surya,
    You can follow this procedure to upload the file
    i) Take One Context Attribute named as "D1" of Type "binary".
    ii) Take one FileUpload UI Element in the Layout Tab.
    iii) Bind FileUpload UI Element's data Property to the taken Context Attribute. Here it is "D1".
    iv) Take one Button UI Element in the Layout Tab named "Upload" and in the Action of that Button write the following Code.
    v) The following code Generates one Folder in the Server & inside that Folder given file is Uploaded.
    File ff=new File("FolderXYZ"); // Creates One Folder with the given Name ( Here Folder name is "FolderXYZ")
    ff.mkdir();
    try
    byte b[]=null;
    IWDAttributeInfo objAttinfo=null;
    IWDModifiableBinaryType binType=null;
    File f=null;
    FileOutputStream fos=null;
    if(wdContext.currentContextElement().getD1()!=null)
    b=wdContext.currentContextElement().getD1();
    objAttinfo=wdContext.getNodeInfo().getAttribute(IPrivateAttachView.IContextElement.D1);
    binType=(IWDModifiableBinaryType)objAttinfo.getModifiableSimpleType();
    f=new File(ff.getName()+"
    "+binType.getFileName());
    fos=new FileOutputStream(f);
    fos.write(b);
    fos.flush();
    fos.close();
    objMessageManager.reportSuccess("File uploaded to server");
    } catch (Exception e)
    objMessageManager.reportException("Unable to upload file to server, error is:"+e,false);
    return;
    The Uploaded file is stored in the folder & that folder is stored in the Server's following Path.
    <Your Server>\c$\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0
    You can access your Uploaded file from the following Path

  • I Need Information Regarding File Upload?

    Where can I get information regarding the File uploading packages in Portal. Is there a specification I can get a hold of. I know such a package exists, as it is used by portal itself. I just need to know where I can get hold of information as to what it is called and how to invoke it.

    Suraj,
    The APIs to do file upload are not public as of yet. We are looking into the feature right now. Currently, the only supported method of file upload is using the Web Interface.
    You may find more information about this in the 9iAs Portal forum

  • Safari needs to click submit button twice when file uploading

    Hi all,
    I'm using Safari 4.0.5 and developing the html (no AJAX, but plain PHP posting) form with the file uploading on my local environment. I tested it fast and thick several times, then suddenly Safari stopped to upload the jpeg file, indicating loading animation on the address bar. So I tried to click the submit button once again, I succeed in sending two posts including one jpeg image.
    There's no problem with other browsers like Firefox and Chrome. Additionally, I tried to reinstalled Safari, rebooted Snow Leopard and checked file's permissions by Disk Utility app, but no dice.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    I am having the exact same problem except that I'm in Safari 5.0. Did you ever come to any resolution on the problem?
    I am having trouble uploading certain jpegs (can't find a common thread between the images that won't work though they tend to be larger than 100k and larger than 800px wide). When I have the problem the progress bar just hangs at about 10%. The page never times out. Never throws any kind of error. I confirmed that the file is never making it to the application layer. Such a weird and intermittent problem. All other browsers are fine. Just Safari is a problem. Even with these images that are giving me a problem, sometimes they work - especially after restarting the browser.
    Any help or insight from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

    Has anyone been able to upload an ibooks file with audio only files (m4a) in it? I keep getting the following error message during the upload in iTunes Producer: ERROR ITMS-9000: "Files of type audio/x-m4a are not allowed outside of widgets. then it names the file as an m4p file. Everything works beautifully on the iPad through Preview, and validates through iTunes Producer up until the attempted upload. If you've been able to accomplish this, please let me know how you prepared your audio files. Many thanks.

    Hello Fellow iBook Authors!
    Today I received the same error that you all have been discussing.  I tried selecting the DRM
    and this did not work for me, though I'm glad it did for some.  Here's what I did as a work-around. . .
    Since iBooks Author did not have a problem with Videos, I simply used one of my video programs, ScreenFlow to turn the audio into a video file m4v.  I added an image and extended the length or timing of the image to span the length of the audio file.  Then exported as an .mov.  I then opened QuickTime and opened the file and exported the file to iTunes.
    You can use iMovie, Camtasia or any other progam that will allow you to export the audio as a movie file.  Does this make sense?  I hope this helps, at least in the short-term.

  • Need help for file upload - reposted for Steve Muench

    Hi Steve,
    I have been involved developing a web application that requires a file upload operation. I have studied your example on Upload Text File and Image Example in the Not Yet Documented ADF Sample Applications section. I got the file upload part worked but could not get the original file name to populate the name field..i.e. if I upload myFile.txt to the database, the name field will be myFile.txt (not the name enter by user). Is there a way to capture the filename info? or is it possible to do so within ADF framework? I am using ADF/Struts/JSP with ORDDoc data type. Thanks very much.

    You need to change any settings in 'FILE' transaction. This transaction is used to set up Logical file paths. ( In general it will be set already for your system).
