Anyone with any major 3.02 issues as yet ?

So far, this update seems very stable and responsive...
Maybe because I've disabled iTunes store so just have My media listed...
Maybe it's just a good update...
Ok there are a couple of annoyances posted but not many yet.
Responsiveness and stability seem very 1.0/1.1 like to me so far.
I've always maintained that the increasing complexity of the software led to issues after 1.0/1.1 - maybe many of these have been ironed out or code optimised for the lowly hardware. Let's hope so.
Just want to encourage others to give positive feedback.
We moan enough when things don't work, so if this turns out to be a golden software version amongst recent ones, we need to let the developers/Apple know that it's working well for us to encourage future development and improvements.

So, if you want to, you can almost get back to 1.0/1.1 functionality with the store disabled, simple menus but retaining added features like dolby digital support, audio volume control etc.
Only thing they didn't remove was movie trailers, not sure why that's still there.
I actually think this is a great option to have added - the key point here it's an option.
I have always hated the way the interface became very iTunes store centric with 2.0+ software, though the reordering of menus in 3.0+ was a positive step forward. Great move this by Apple...I can enable if I want those options, or buy from iTunes itself.
Has that proven to stick better than it has in the other 3.0.x releases? I wound up just cutting internet access to the AppleTV to get rid of the iTunes Store ads.
Well 36 hours in - all I have after:
Parental Controls>Purchase and Rental>Hide
in the main menu top row icons is unwatched icons followed by My Movies/TV Shows etc
No store items at all.
I'll update this weekend (factory restore and update) so I'll post back with hopefully good reports
Serioulsy this seems to be a great option they've added or fixed (if I didn't notice it before).

Im having the same problem, I updated my Iphone 4S to 6.1.3, shortly after that my phone had no audio. It was working fine one minute and then stopped. Was listening to music when sound gave out on me. It wont ring, phone just vibrates even after turning off vibration option. I've tried all the options listed and nothing. My phone has never been jailbroken either. If I connect the earphones is works perfectly. On one of my last calls received, phone's ringtone was heard for about 2 seconds before muting and just vibrating. Ringtone sounded perfect, speakers did not sound damaged.
What else could be done? I've read several post regarding this and it seems like Apple has no solution to this yet. Very dissappointed.

Help needed urgently with two major Logic 9 issues

Dear all,
We've recently migrated from Logic 7 to 9 and have a major album project to finish using a fairly modest tracking setup. We've encountered two major issues that are holding up progress and wondered if anyone here has experienced them and has a solution..?
Our set up is an early 2009 2.93GHz 17" unibody Macbook Pro with a Motu 828mkII Firewire interface. We also have a motu microlite for extra midi.
Firstly, we're trying to track drums from an Elektron MachineDrum. With Logic 7 the MachineDrum's transport controls would control Logic's transport automatically so that we had a clear sync when tracking and could edit sounds and patterns on plus control Logic's transport from the MachineDrum. It also meant that we could drop in parts from song based sequences (of multiple patterns) in the correct position as song pointer information was also received. In the midi synch settings it would automayically jump to "midi clock". In Logic 9 it seems the Midi clock option is gone entirely.
We've also tried with an Elektron MonoMachine and have exactly the same problem. This all worked automatically in Logic 7. These machines have excellent sequencers and are very hands on so it makes it preferable to do it this way. We've spent the afternoon trying to replicate the behaviour of Logic 7 with no joy at all. I should say that Logic is receiving midi information but is not responding to the transport controls. Has this midi clock feature been removed entirely..? It will be a huge disappointment if this vital functionality has been removed as it's crucial to the way we write, sequence and record.
Does anyone have a solution..?
Secondly, there seems to be a major bug with Logic 9 and we frequently have to quit and reboot to overcome it. Namely, certain actions reduce the audio to metal machine noise/ digital breakup bearing no resemblance to what we've recorded. This includes opening two projects simultaneously, dragging any audio from the media bin to the arrange, editing a marker in the list window etc. This has happened about twenty times today doing some light work on a project. We also noticed this intermittently when doing some vocal tracking on Logic 8 at a friends studio.
Has anyone else experienced this? It's a nightmare and means we won't be able to use it reliably live either. Does anyone have a solution?

How Do I get Help with a Major Customer Service Issue?

I am a Pro Care member and I took my Macbook Pro in to one on the local stores to ask them about a font issue that I was experiencing. One one the Genius guys came over and asked me a few questions and told me that this wasn't a big deal at all, that they just needed to reinstall my default fonts and that it should take maybe 45 minutes. This was at 4:30pm. Six hours later they came back to be to tell me that they had corrected the font issue but all of my user data and applications were lost! It was if I had a brand new Macbook Pro! This was a Friday evening. I was told to take my laptop to a company called Data Savers the next day to have this company try to restore my data/applications.
I took my laptop to Data Savers on Saturday and they told me that they would need to keep it for a day. I went back to pick it up on Sunday and I was given an external drive that had "raw restored data" on it. When I had been speaking with the store manager about the situation and he wanted me to provide him with a list of software that was on the machine. So, when I got home from picking up my laptop from Data Savers I started it and all I got was an icon of a circle with a slash through it!! I called the guys at Data Savers and told them about this and they asked to bring the laptop back to them on Monday. I did. After running some diagnostics on the machine I was told that my hard drive was "toast!"
Needless to say I was both upset and distraught! The store manager told me (in emails that I still have) that he understands how upset that I was about coming in for a font related issue and three days later being told that my laptop was no more that a big paper weight. He said (in these emails) that he would replace my laptop and he would try to get me the latest versions of the software that I had to make up for the business that I had lost in the last few days due to the fact that I didn't have have my machine.
The store manager then called me back on a Tuesday and said that his superiors had told him that he cold not do what he said that he would do. Obviously, this increased my level of frustration. I was able to speak to this manager, think it may have been some sort of regional manager and after indicating that I had emails of the store manager acknowledging the facts of the matter and stating that he was very sorry for what happen, the regional manager said that she wanted me to send her copies of the emails. I told her that the store manager had copies of everything. She told me that she would get back to me. This was Wednesday afternoon. That same evening the store manager called me to say that "because I was lead to believe that Apple would replace my laptop, they would do so. I was told to be be at the store around noon on the following day (Thursday) and to bring my laptop. I was told that they would replace it.
When I got to the store on Thursday, the manager came up to me and shook my hand and said that he was sorry for all the trouble and inconvenience. He went on to say that before he could replace my laptop that I would have to sign a document saying that I agree that they were not responsible for anything that had happened in the past six days!!
The fact is, that isn't true and they know it. I have the email to prove it. I didn't sign the document. the next day because I could no longer afford to lose money and clients I went into another Apple store and purchased in brand new system!
The fact is that I believe that Apples products are far superior to PC products. I was told by some to never buy from Apple again and tell everyone that I know about my experiences with this particular store. All I want is for Apple to do the right thing! Just replace my Macbook Pro like they said they were going to do. They don't have to provide any software updates, just do the right thing and replace my machine!!
Can anyone tell me if they have had a similar experience and if so, how it was resolved? Who in the corporate office can I talk to about this to get it resolved? Are there and Apple insiders out there that can help me resolve this situation? I would like to avoid having to take legal action if at all possible.

I have gotten used to the new keyboard layout on the X1 gen. 2., and actually find it quite comfortable now.
But how the adaptive keyboard ever got past the Lenovo quality control, boggles my mind. No one seems to like it and for good reason. The lack of any tactile feedback, makes it nearly impossible to keep a fast typing flow going when programming or working with hotkeys in spreadsheet software or likewise.
Hope Lenovo listen to the feedback they receive from the community and through reviews, and reconsider ( and by that I mean completely remove ) the "smart" adaptive keyboard for the 2015 version.

Anyone with PSe 11 or 12 issues on a Mac upgraded to Yosemite who are using an iMac

Are any Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 or 12 Mac users experiencing problems on a computer other than a Macbook Pro (e.g. an iMac or Mac Mini) that has been upgraded to Yosemite? I just upgraded and my PSE 12 freezes - I found a workaround by using a mouse instead of a trackpad. I'm just curious - is it a Macbook trackpad/PSE conflict or and Yosemite/PSE 11 or 12 conflict?

this obviously won't solve the problem - however in response to my contacting Adobe via the email address provided by on of the participants in this forum, I received the following email. It appears they have now provided an option to contact Adobe as a consumer -- however I haven't tested it out - it may very well take you to the same loop with you ending up with the option to pay for a support call. Perhaps some of you might like to test it out.

6 November 2013 anyone with the iphone 4 having issue with the phone not turning on and at times locking up where you cant navigate and select contacts to call?

My iphone seems to not want to turn on the screen stays black no matter what you do pressing the home and power button....and at times while it is on it locks up and cannot navigate and call out like the touch screen is in active you have to shut the phone down to get it to work as intended.

Anyone made any compressor settings for iTunes Video yet?

I am planning on it, though haven't had a chance of yet. I see the new iPod Video's specs are:
H.264 video: up to 768 Kbps, 320 x 240, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats
MPEG-4 video: up to 2.5 mbps, 480 x 480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats
And I purchased a Music Video to check it out, and it's stat's are m4v, AAC Protected, with 44.100 kHz AVC0 Media, 320x224 at 30FPS and the data rate is 702.24, which looks pretty good, and scales fairly well. Want to make my own setting and test it out. I wonder if the audio is 128, or have they decreased it for the videos? The files seem to be about 4.3MB per minute of video.

big Burro is correct. I used a 300 kbps menu item but upon checking the movie, it was actually about 660 kbps,
This movie was run through Compressor2 & dropped into the itunes library, then dragged to the ipod video list.
Try it but also do "movie info" to check the specs.
the data rate is about 660kbps, I originally thought it was 300 kbps.

My iPhone 3G will not turn on, but iTunes recognizes it to sync. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on? This was a sudden occurance-phone worked without issue before.

This afternoon I was used my iPhone 3G. I then put it aside (it was left on) for about an hour. When I went to use it again, nothing happens. The home button will not call up the lock screen. The lock button will not turn the phone on, off, or lock it. When I plug it into iTunes, it recognizes it to sync. Also if someone tries to call me it will ring on their end, but nothing on my end.
The iPhone is over two years old (purchased in April 2009), so it is out of warranty. Also, everything is up to date on the iPhone.
Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be?

What iPhone do you have? You can check in settings>>general>> about.
If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.

Anyone else having major issues with 1.1.4?

So I updated to Firmware 1.1.4 a day or two after it came out and I've been having major issues. This is on a phone purchased on launch day that has not been jailbrokened or hacked in anyway.
Battery life...when the phone actually works, is down drastically. I went from 2.5 days with Bluetooth and Wi-fi on to about 12 hours at one time.
Wi-fi...when it works, just cuts in and out even when the signal should be all full strength.
Clock...even though it is set to sync with network time, can be accurate one minute and lags behind as much as 15 minutes.
I've done numerous restores, both from a backup file and setting the phone up as a new phone. Nothing seems to fix the problem so far. Has anyone else run into these issues and/or know of how to fix it.
I was contemplating downgrading the firmware to 1.1.3, but I don't believe there is an official way to do it.
Any input would be appreciated.

I have exactly the same issues, After the Update the sound quality of my calls dropped drastically! I tought first I got a cold or something like that...but it was not I cannot hear as clearly as I used to before and increasing the volume does not solve anything!
I also noticed that trsitionning from an application to another and especially using the home button to got to home page is getting slower. I need more time to lose safari and go to emails than before.
My Memory usage is exactly the same as I havent added anything to my library or so. Aroud 3.5 GB free.
Anyone with same symptoms?
