AP1242 sometimes in admin mode "disable"

We have (L)AP1242 working in FlexConnect mode.
These APs are connected to a WLC but sometimes devices change to state "admin disable". I really don't mean the radio interface.
The access points get power over a power supply.
any idea?
thanks
Martin

If your access point is connected to in-line power, do not connect the power module to the access point. Using two power sources on the access point might cause the access point to shut down to protect internal components and might cause the switch to shut down the port to which the access point is connected. If your access point shuts down, you must remove all power and reconnect only a single power source.
On power up, the access point is placed into low power mode (both radios are disabled), Cisco IOS software loads and runs, and power negotiation determines if sufficient power is available. If there is sufficient power then the radios are turned on; otherwise, the access point remains in low power mode with the radios disabled to prevent a possible over-current condition. In low power mode, the access point activates the Status LED low power error indication, displays a low power message on the browser and serial interfaces, and creates an event log entry (see the "Checking the Autonomous Access Point LEDs" section and "Inline Power Status Messages" section).

  • FF crashing immediately. FF updated, admin mode allowed, hardware acceleration disabled, add-ons disabled

FF crashing immediately in regular mode-- ID: 132f75b1-9f3e-46b7-9b43-74e4b2121121. FF updated, admin mode allowed, hardware acceleration disabled, add-ons disabled.
FF opens in Safe Mode, but otherwise crashes repeatedly upon opening. FF was working for up to half hour, but today (especially since FF v.17 update) crashes immediately. Along with repeated FF crashes, Win 7 crashes (less often) with a variety of notes on each crash.

Thanks for your response, cor-el. I had already unchecked the "Use hardware acceleration when available," yesterday, before posting here.
I had also selected ''Run as administrator,'' but I see that is now unchecked. A skilled friend tried to help overnight & may have unchecked it. She also appears to have "unchecked" the "Use hardware hardware acceleration when available," so I have, again, unchecked it.
My friend wearily said I would be unable to open the browser this morning, but it worked fine for ~10 minutes... and then Windows crashed. Firefox is working fine in Win7 Safe-Mode & fortunately did not crash before Win7-itself in regular-mode.
I'll try Win7 regular-mode, again. After working awhile, my browser froze (cursor wouldn't move). Signing back into Win7 regular-mode, FF quickly crashed twice.
    Last FF crash reports submitted:

    Guys,
Following Tasks(to upgrade Oracle Identity Manager from 9.x to 11g) from upgrade guide (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/upgrade.1111/e10129/upgrade_oim.htm#CACIBHHJ) has been completed succesfully:-
•Task 1: Identify and Prepare Oracle Database for Oracle Identity Manager 11g (Optional)
•Task 2: Use the Repository Creation Utility to Create the Schema in the Database
•Task 3: Install Oracle Fusion Middleware
•Task 4: Use Upgrade Assistant to Upgrade the Oracle Identity Manager Schema
•Task 5: Create a WebLogic Domain for Oracle Identity Manager
•Task 6: Start the WebLogic Administration Server
•Task 7: Configure Oracle Identity Manager Server 11g
•Task 8: Configure Node Manager to Start Managed Servers
•Task 9: Start the SOA Managed Server
In the below Task10 while starting OIM server, OIM_SERVER1 is starting in Admin mode ( i guess it should come in running mode).

  • Firefox 21 will only run in Admin. mode on Win 7 Pro. Also when I installed FF21 it came with a nasty virus.

Those are the details. FF 21 will not run on my system unless I choose Run as Administrator. So far none of the guesses posted by your tech support about this question in the past have worked.
I have removed the virus and removed FF and reinstalled. Same problem. I removed it again totally and reinstalled, same problem. I have installed it again under an Admin account and I still have the same problem. All of the earlier versions of FF worked fine in user mode.

I know that there are many posts on the internet dealing with FF having to be run under Admin. mode, but none of the guesses as to why have solved this problem. I also realize that most people running 21, judging from the lack of reaction, are running fine in user mode. But it would seem that the FF development team would be interested in this situation.
The trojan that came in on the FF install shut down Trusteer Rapport, a security software that my bank uses and recommends. The Trusteer support team worked with me to disable and remove the Trojan. That is what is called service.

  • Very slow ADMIN gui (/console) and ADMIN mode problems

The admin gui is painfully slow for us for some reason. We're currently running three clusters in on one admin server. There are 55 applications installed spread out pretty evenly on all clusters.
Listing the 10 first deployed applications takes around 50-60s. CPU usage and so forth is fine. This seems to get worse when more applications are added. Some of our other admin servers works fine but they have far less applications installed.
Perhaps not much to go from but has anyone else experienced this ? Possibly cause, solution ?
    Note:
    version: 10.3
    jdk: 1.6_06 (64 bit)
    os: solaris
We're also experiencing some serious problems when deploying application, possibly because of the problems with the admin server and that the deployment sometimes just halts (activate changes times out). Servers can all of a sudden be in ADMIN mode, applications can be in ADMIN mode. And servers and/or applications in ADMIN mode is not a good thing since the load-balancers can't handle this situation because the server still listens on the http port while in ADMIN mode. Not sure why this happens but it seems to be connected to when we deploy application, and that part seems to be a hit'n miss thing. It works perfectly sometimes, sometimes it justs halts. A restart of the admin server and then it might work again. Other times it's a restart of all the servers and then the admin server before it works again.
Same as the first question, anyone that has experienced these problems ?
    /Laban

Support has "support patterns" to work through these issues and I definitely recommend opening a case. Various things can contribute such as networking issues causing the clustered communication to not work properly. Thread dumps can also be helpful to see where the time is being spent.

  • Adobe Flash only works when I run Firefox in Admin Mode

As the title says, I need to run Firefox in admin mode each time for Adobe Flash to work.
When I do not run it in admin mode, and I visit say Youtube, the box where the flash player should appear flickers and just does not load. The HTML5 version eventually loads instead.
When I visit the adobe flash test page it does not work either. Only when I run in admin mode it works fine.
Problem is I do not want to run Firefox in Admin mode for security reasons each time I use the browser. I have tried reinstalling mozilla, disabling all plugins/extensions, reinstalling adobe flash several times.
I DO NOT have this problem when using Google Chrome.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Kind Regards,

Our cluster environment has one Admin Server, and two of each OSB, WSM and SOA managed servers. As our WSM servers are not coming up, we are not able to start our SOA servers too.
    Thank You

Same issue here :-)), Just playing around with policies configuration, the server was running just fine, I wanted to check if the policies are applicable during runtime even the WSM managed server is down. After restart, it started in ADMIN mode, well the solution is straight. It is exactly telling that the dms application is missing the jstl library reference

So search for "jstl" within the weblogic console in search bar, it is type of library, click on it and target it to the managed server where OWSM is running as weel. It was root cause in my case, somehow the library was not targeted to our WLS_WMS1 managed server. Now the server is back in RUNNING mode. Of course apply this in case of problem with SOA servers, target it to the cluster or exact nodes and it should work.
Still I don't know how the issue has been crated, I don't think that somebody removed it from deployment. Rather I think that somebody was applying patch or some artifacts to OSB or SOA managed server and this library was required as well, but as soon as we have separated WSM cluster, it was maybe assuming that it is running within OSB or SOA clusters and therefore didn't target the WSM cluster automatically. But this is just the idea :-))

  • Updating only when using Admin mode (since 3.6) and "ghosting" leaving images of others sites, apps, even pdfs I have opened in a browsing session that you can see when you shut FF down.

I can update FF while in admin mode but when I switch back to my user log-in it says I still need to update and has been this way since 3.6 at least.
FF is also leaving ghost images from other apps as it is shut down you can see, not sure if it is a memory leak or what but it is a little annoying.

  • Opening a PDF file in Admin mode from a windows forms application (C#)

    Hi,
I need to open a pdf file using Windows Application. I have used the below code launch the pdf files.
    Process prc = new Process();
                prc.StartInfo.FileName = "cmd.exe";
                Environment.CurrentDirectory = @"C:\SamplePDF\";
                prc.StartInfo.Arguments = " /C sample.pdf";
                prc.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = false;
                prc.StartInfo.CreateNoWindow = true;
                prc.Start();
This code is working fine without admin mode. But while running the output exe from bin folder with admin mode(right click the exe and choose "Run as Administrator"), pdf files are not launching . But its opened in the background application and I can see this from windows task manager.
Could anyone please help me on this issue ? Is there any other ways to launch a pdf file in admin mode ?
    -Balaji.

Thank you for replaying so soon..
Well you are right by using a widget and etc.. but the problem is that I have been told that this application should open a PDF file that has bookmarks to each chapter of the text and one can make a search on this text by using pdf search.. So I do not have any other choice than opening a pdf :D and my time is unfortunately limit.
For solving the problem that the user may not have PDF reader.. well I have been told that user should install the pdf reader, so in my application package I am putting the installation file of PDF.
But going back to my problem.. I guess is someway I have to get the OS type of the user and I have to do a SWITCH or something on the OS type and then change the content of the Runtime.exec(). But the question is how can I get the OS type and what should I change in Runtime.exec().
So now any idea? any solution??

  • How to get installer created via LV project to install executables on a Vista machine which are in admin mode?

I have an installer for a program created via a LV project which installs two executables.
On Vista, only one of the executables is in admin mode.  So, I always have to right click
on the other and select 'run as administrator'.
Any way of getting both of them set to run as administrator by default?

Do your executables include a manifest inside them or are you installing a manifest file next to your executables?
What happens if you just manually copy the executables to your system rather than installing them? Same thing, or different behavior?

In my experience this is most of the times a server issue of the website provider.
Does this error occur on all Websites or just one specific Website?
Does this Website load in Internet Explorer (or any other Browser?)?

Saw some error messages in the weblogic logs related to Database. Could it be the reason for that?
    Thanks.

server is down. I am using the following:
    ./startManagedWebLogic.sh <Managed server name> <Admin URL>
I am getting the following error:
    weblogic.security.spi.ProviderInitializationException:
[Security:090730]Failed to verify credential mapper LDAP hierarchy
netscape.ldap.LDAPException: failed to connect to server ldap://<Admin
    URL> (91)Hi,
Did you activate the managed server independent mode? (msi replication)
If you, did you find those files on the managed server?

  • Safe mode disables spector pro?

Does anyone know Mac OSX safe mode disables Spector pro for Mac? Thanks in advance!

    Forgive me for oversimplifying Kappy:
But, a developer can program a third party service to run in safe mode. It actually involves
more than just a presence of a binary file in any certain directory. The plist startup parameters
and/or other factors actually govern that.
For instance, I have a third party eSata card installed in my Mac Pro. It is still fully functional
even in safe mode. Its startup instructions are actually in the /Library/StartupItems folder. It's
one of 6 items in that folder. It's the only one that launches in safe mode.
Sure, it legitimately launches and runs in safe mode, as the service provides necessary
disk services for OS X that may be needed in safe mode as well as regular mode.
The point is, starting a third party service or program in safe mode is no challenge to
a developer who would want to do it for whatever reason.
These cracker heads that write stealth programs like Spector Pro don't make them easily
detectable or easily circumvented. Typically they make them tough to detect and even
tougher to circumvent. One popular way to do that is to masquerade their services as
legitimate disk or other hardware services to avoid detection.
Now they (developer) may or may not even want to start their programs and/or services in
safe mode, but it certainly isn't wise to assume those services are not running when in safe mode,
especially if you are indeed, the intended prey of that software and not the hunter.

  • BI_server in Admin Mode

    Hi friends,
When i tried to open my OBIEE 11.1.1.5 which is installed in my windows machine, by starting the BI services through Start-->Program-->Start BI Services, the BI services is not coming to an running mode, as it seems that
BI presentation services is down. We analysed about this problem, and when we seen under the servers section in my weblogic domain i have two servers
    <li> Admin Servers
    <li> BI Servers
Admin Servers seems to be in running mode, but the BI Servers is seemed to be in ADMIN mode. and we though that due to this only my BI presentation service is getting down. Can anyone friends, try to help me out with this issue.
On how to make my BI Servers back to the running mode in the weblogic console under the server section during the start up of my BI services (via) Start-->Program-->Start BI Services.
    Is im missing anything.
    Thanks in Advance
    Brgds,
    Hari

It look like another instance of weblogic is running some where in your processes.
When the server starts it checks if any .lok file in present in the tmp file.If yes, it would try to acquire a lock on that one.
If the lock is already held by some other process, then it would throw error.Check the running processes which can acquire lock on the .lok files and kill them.
If you are running in on unix use the commands below to kill java and weblogic services.
ps -ef | grep "java" or ps -ef | grep "weblogic" and kill everything .
If you are running on Windows PC , go to task Manager and kill all javac and weblogic instances, and restart weblogic using startweblogic.cmd and then startManagedWeblogic.cmd.
Does your logs say any specific error .?
    Let me know.
