Apache 2.0, Apache 1.3 and mod_dav? Will apache 2.0 work?

I am just beginning the process of installing intermedia on a win 2k , 9i database configuration. I noted that the mod_dav module is not listed under the module listing for apache 1.3.

The mod_dav module though is listed for apache 2.0. Will intermedia work with apache 2.0? Apache states that 2.0 differs substantially from 1.3.

I assume you will need to use file based mod_dav? Are you interested in ora_dav?
In general, the new direction is to use the intermedia java classes or the PL/SQL agent to store/deliver images into/from the database. It is quite easy to create a servlet with the same functionality as the interMedia web agent, but more flexible and will work in more environments. There is a simple photo album application that illustrates how to use the java classes.

Sounds just like what was happening with my Alum MB. I took it in and they replaced my battery. It seems to be ok now. I don't know what it is, but my battery was fine before 10.5.6 and the same timeframe of the firmware updates when they came out.
My battery health was jumping around but was fine before all of this happened. Unfortunately at 381 cycles I don't think you have much chance of getting the battery for free. Perhaps you can complain about the battery saying it was fine until 10.5.6 or whatever. HT6058 ipad 4 downloaded 7.0.4 and "wifi will not connect at work" and "will not keep password at home?"

Since I downloaded 7.0.4 onto my iPad 4th gen. the wifi has been unstable.
The wifi will not consistently connect as a "guest" at work and will NOT maintain
the password for my wifi at home. Prior to the update to 7.0.4 this iPad never
had any wifi issues! I have tried all of the tactics of resetting wifi, re-downloaded the entire
7.0.4 and with the same wifi issues? At this point my iPad is useless to me without wifi!!!

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. The obvious answer is yes. The question is, why are you asking?
If you use the same Apple ID on both devices and it is your own personal Apple ID, you will want to make sure that you turn off automatic downloads on both devices, since I would assume that you don't want the kids games, apps, books and music on your work iPad and they will not want your work apps on "their" iPad.
I believe that there is more to this than what you revealed, so providing more details would be helpful in giving you the best answer for what you want to do.

I have a T400 with docking station and extra high capacity battteries. I'm looking at a new T410 and T410s - will my docking station work? How about the batteries?

the T400 uses a different battery to the T410/T410s (these two machines also use a different battery to each other).
T400 battery is compatible only with R400, R61/T61 with 14.1 inch widescreen.
Advanced dock and advanced mini dock (and the port replicator) used for T400, is compatible with:
T6x, R6x, Z6x, T400/T500/W500, R400/R500

It depends on how you installed it. You have to shutdown the MySQL service first. If you used the standard, but obsolete Startup Item, you can do that with the Startup Item. If you created a launchd script, you can do it with launchctl. Once MySQL is no longer running, you can delete the Startup Item or launchd script and the rest of MySQL.

Weblogic Http Apache Plugin not working

I have installed weblogic server 10.3 on WindowsXP Professional and Http Apache 2.2 is running on port 80. I followed the following document to configure the Apache plugin:

There is patch for the webserver(Apache Plugin),thats needs to be downloaded from Metalink,dont use the default plugin that comes with the weblogic 10.3 installtion.

How do I get Apache web server working on my MacBook Pro, which is running Leopard 10.5.8?
When I enter 'http://localhost/~username/' (without the quote marks) as a URL in my Firefox browser on the MacBook, I do not see any result at all(!). I do have Web Sharing on in System Preferences on that machine. But the browser does nothing whatever for that URL ...
On my other computer, an iMac running Leopard 10.5.8, when I enter 'http://localhost/~username/' I see the default "Your Website Here" page. That same default page is in fact the index.html file I expect to see on the MacBook Pro. But it isn't getting invoked for some reason. Nothing is happening ...
When on the iMac I try 'http://10.0.1.18/~username/' (10.0.1.18 is the local IP address I see under 'Web Sharing: On' on the MacBook) I get "Unable to connect: Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 10.0.1.18."
When on the MacBook I try 'http://10.0.1.5/~username/' (10.0.1.5 is the local IP address I see under 'Web Sharing: On' on the MacBook) I see the default "Your Website Here" page.
It is the same on my iPhone: Using the same local IP addresses and usernames, Safari can see the index.html page on my iMac but not on my MacBook.
It looks as if Apache is not working on the MacBook, while on the iMac it works fine.
On the MacBook I can see (after I use 'defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE' in Terminal) a /private/etc/apache2/ directory with what look to be(?) the usual contents. So it looks like Apache is duly installed, as far as I can tell.
On the MacBook I don't see a file at /private/var/log/apache2/error_log, which is the location for 'ErrorLog' given in the httpd.conf file.
That about exhausts my understanding of how to get a handle on my problem.
Any advice or suggestions from those who have more expertise with Apache will be much appreciated ...

Okai, so we are getting somewhere, but not quit there yet :-)
I opened the Kenneth.conf file using the command: vi Kenneth.conf
This is what it said:

I therefore changed the AllowOverride from AuthConfig Limit to None, which was the only difference from what you posted above. Something did change, when I tried to open XAMPP it prompted me a password, but Apache still wont start :-/

Does Apache Virtual Hosting work with localhost?

I'm a newbie trying to learn how apache web server works. I've activated apache web server on my Mac PowerBook G4, and tweaked the config file to get PHP, SSI and CGI working.
If I type the url http://127.0.0.1/ I get the same page as http://localhost/
If localhost is the domain name for the address 127.0.0.1, can I assign other domain names to 127.0.0.1 using apache's virtual hosting?

localhost is defined as 127.0.0.1. You can use them interchangeably.
As for virtual hosts, sure. Apache doesn't care.
There are two ways of running virtual hosts.
Port-based virtual hosts use a port number other than the standard 80. They can be accessed via something like http://localhost:8000/
Name-based virtual hosts look at the hostname header in the request to work out which site to serve. You can run any number of sites on the same port number this way, but you need to be able to control DNS so that it points to your machine.
If you are just testing this locally you can edit /etc/hosts to add whatever hostnames you like;
127.0.0.1 localhost my.testsite.com me.mydomain.com
Now when you enter 'my.testsite.com' or 'my.mydomain.com' in your web browser, /etc/hosts will resolve this to 127.0.0.1 and you'll talk to your local apache server.
Note that the localhost entries don't have to be in your domain. You can use this to override any real hostname you like.
Of course, if you want remote users to access this site you'll need to setup something in the DNS, or edit their /etc/hosts files individually.

Apache won't work after 10.5.2 update

Apache won't work, after I installed the 10.5.2 update.
When I type the following in the terminal: sudo apachectl -t
I get a error:
/usr/sbin/apachectl: line 81: 711 Segmentation fault $HTTPD $ARGV
Does anyone know how I can solve this?

I too had the same problem after the auto update 10.5.2 - specifically the 2008-002 update broke my machine in a number of areas.
I downloaded the package and ran it, this seems to have mopped up the problems caused my the first run.
The update is located at:
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/security_updates/
Look for 2008-002 (Leopard) it's about 50MB.
Hope this works for you too.

Gordon, it looks like its been a while since you made this post. Not sure how valid it is now...   I am particularly interested in the LigatureLevel.NONE value. It seems that it is no longer supported.
How do I turn of ligatures in the font rendering?
My flex project involves trying to match the font rendering of Apache's Batik rendering of SVG and ligatures have been turned off in that codebase. Is there any way (even roundabout) to turn ligatures off in flash?

Cut and Paste will not work

I have a Toshiba Satellite/Satellite Pro C50-A series laptop I bought new in December 2013. It has Windows 8 on it. I did the upgrade to windows 8.1 almost immediatley so I cannot remember if my control c / control v, cut and paste worked in 8 or not. But it will NOT work in 8.1 for most of my programs. I desperately need it to work on my All My Movies database software from Bolide software and my Green Eclipse sticky notes. And cut and paste will NOT work AT ALL for those programs. It works sometimes for my email and my Apache Open Office word processor.
I have contaced microsoft who's tech did something Tuesday morning to get it working. But then I booted down my computer and went to bed and when I booted it up, yep, no more cut and paste ability again! So I tried contacting microsoft this morning around 2:30am and they said it was an OEM problem and to contact Toshiba.
I have even run a sfc /scannow twice and get the same error message:
sfc /scannow      ran 1/22 1:30am
results: windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
for ex c:\windows\Logs\CBS/CBS.log
note that logging is currently not supported in offline servicing scenarios
The above error message I WAS ABLE to cut and paste FROM my green eclipse sticky note to this forum! But when I tried to cut and paste this message back to a NEW sticky note......NOTHING!
I hope someone here can provide a permanent solution to fix this! It may seem minor but I do a LOT of cut/pasting!

There are dozens of possibilities, Lisa.
Which C50-A do you have? There is a label on the bottom.
What security applications do you have installed? Webroot is a common offender.
Do you have Microsoft Office installed? If so, which version?
Do you use Bluetooth?
Did you upgrade to Windows 8.1 properly, following carefully the instructions here?

Find a situation that always gives you trouble, so that know when we learn something.
Then see if that trouble occurs after a clean boot.
   1. Open the System Configuration utility (msconfig.exe). You can do that by typing msconfig at the Start screen and pressing Enter.
   2. On the Services tab, set the Hide all Microsoft services check box and then click Disable all.
   3. On the Startup tab, click Open Task Manager, right-click and disable each Startup item. Then close Task Manager.
   4. Back on the System Configuration screen, click OK, and restart the computer.

Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

I am trying to run my registered CS6 Design Standard programs for the first time after install. InDesign runs OK, but Illustrator and Photoshop will only run in trail mode. How do I activate those two?

I can't get my registered versions of CS6 Photoshop and Illustrator to run in full mode. I installed CS6 Design Standard online end of June (an upgrade from CS5.5), on my old MacBook Pro. I didn't run the programs then as I was waiting on arrival of new MacBook Pro. I migrated the programs from my old MacBook to the new, and today tried to run those programs for the first time. InDesign work OK (after an initial hiccup) but Illustrator and Photoshop will only run in trial mode, and won't let me save files. My CS6 Design Standard shows with it's registration in my Adobe Account. All seems in order, but Illustrator and Photoshop won't run in registered mode. Can you please help?

Please use the uninstallers to remove your current installation. They are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once the uninstall is complete you will also want to run the CC Cleaner Tool.
