Aperture: two browser windows for same project?

I know that I can have two browser windows, each showing a different project; I want to have two browsers windows for SAME project. Is there a way to do this?

Some artists don't qappear in browser window for a playlist

I've been struggling to find a way to browse a large library of classical music. The browser window is a great idea but I can't find a way to add a browser window pane for the Composer tag. So I selected all the tracks with composer=beethoven and made a playlist.
I notice that some artists for tracks in the playlist don't appear in the Artist browser pane. (For example, Szell/ Cleveland Orchestra.) I don't know how many Artist names are missing from the Browser's Artist but there are at least 2 missing.
I can see the Artist name "Szell..." in the track listings for the playlist. If I'm browsing the library, I see "Szell ..." in the Browser window Artist pane. I just don't see "Szell ..." in the Artist Pane of the browser window for the Beethoven Playlist.
I tried deleting the Beethoven playlist and re-creating it. I get the same problem again.
I'm using iTunes for Windows v 4.7.1.30. I haven't upgraded to the latest iTunes for Windows because I see reports of problems after the upgrade.

My quess on weather or not an artist's name appears
depends on the nature and quality of the CD. On my CDs
of Beethoven symphonies or piano concertos Beethoven's name
will appear.
As I said in my first message, the artist name appears in the track listing. I have edited the tags to show the correct composer ("Beethoven" in this case) and to show the soloist then conductor and then the orchestra in the artist tag. ("Szell/ Cleveland orchestra" in this case.)
I see the "Szell..." in the artist field for the tracks for the symphonies conducted by Szee in my library. When I select Library in the source list, I see "Szell..." in the Artist Browser list. However, when I select the Beethoven playlist, I don't see "Szell ..." in the Artist Browser list. I see the tracks listed and the Artist field says "Szell ..." as expected.
This isn't a problem with the information in the CDDB database iTunes uses to get the tag values it assigns to tracks from a CD. I've edited the tags to fit my conventions.

Assignment of two diffrent Organization on same Project

Dear Dina,
Can we assign two different Organization on same project.Viz on header of project suppose we assign org A and org B on one of the task named dropshipment?Now can we get Project and Task reference in Sale Order for the same?If these is possible, how can we achive the same?

In Oracle Projects you can have only one organization as Project Owning Organization.
You can have the same or other organizations on each of the tasks as the Task Organization.
In Project Manufacturing Organization you can assign a project to the inventory organization. You can assign the same project to various inventory organizations. There is no limitation as regard to the owning organization. The owning organization of a project can be, but does not have to be, a PJM / Inventory organization.
Go to Project Manufacturing Menu, Projects, Projects Parameters. On this form you select the projects that you want to assign to that PJM/Inventory organization. On that form you also enter the Costing and Planning groups, the WIP accounting Class, and expenditure types for invoice variances.
When you enter a Sale Order for a specific inventory organization, you could enter the project and task to the sale order. Only Projects assigned previously to that PJM organization will appear on the LOV, of the sale order line.

Why is Firefox opening a separate browser window for each link instead of a new tab in the current browser window?

Suddenly firefox has started opening a new, separate browser window for every link and thing I open. It used to just open a new tab in the current browser. I must have closed down 15 browsers when trying to get back to a previous web page - the back button doesn't work when each click leads to a new window opening! I went into options and my settings have not changed, they still say "open new tab" for links. This just started happening out of the blue today. What's up?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Imac screen dims and two browser windows flicker.

Not sure how to explain this, but when I have two browser windows open, at random, they start to flicker and the whole screen gets dim.

I just noticed that when it happens, the mouse pointer stays with the hand icon.
Then when I move it to a window, that window goes dim.

(Vendor is supplying quantities in 2 different batches & also in different prices)

In a PO you can create 2 items, and each item can be maintained with a different price in the conditions.
In info record it is not possible to have different prices for the same period, except for scales.
so if you have a price of e.g. 2 USD for 1000 kg and 1,90 USD for 2000 kg then you can maintain this in scales, but you still have to have 2 items in the PO so that each one can individually find its price.
Alternative you can create contracts (as well with more than one item) to reflect the different prices and batches.

This is possible through some careful customization
In your condition table you need to bring the field PRICE LIST
That is customer/ Material/ Price list
That is customer ABCD / Material X / Price list 01---Price is Rs 10
That is customer ABCD / Material X / Price list 02---Price is Rs 20
The condition records to be maintained like this
So same material and same customer with price list 01 price is Rs 10 and with price list 02 price is Rs 20
Now in sales order you will find price list field in item details SALES B tab
Through incompletion log you can make this field as an mandatory field
Now in sales order same material and same customer according to the price lists different price is picked
In img-sd-basic functions-Maintain Price-Relevant Master Data Fields--here you can define different price lists

2.create 2 vendor master for the same ONE TIME VENDOR and maintain the recon account accordingly
3.Multiple recon a/c can be assigned to a vendor only thru spl g/l indicators but if u go thru this way then we cant use the purchase flow of PO-MIGO-MIRO . Vendor invoice can be passed only thru fb60 using spl gl indicators. Spl gl indicators cannot be used in MIRO.

Is a Windows registry error responsible for Firefox opening two browser windows whenever I use a hyperlink from a Word file?

Whenever I use a hyperlink from an MS Word document, Firefox opens two windows instead of one. The first window is the one I need. The second contains a message that the page could not be found and the address bar contains the URL appended with "Firefoxhtml/shell/open/command".
This problem is similar but NOT identical to one in MozillaZine headed "Windows error opening internet shortcut or local HTML file - Firefox". But none of the solutions in that article work for my problem: I've disabled all extensions but that hasn't helped. I've tried editing file types so that the DDE is removed (I'm not a teccie so have no idea what that means), but after following the instructions to the letter it doesn't seem to remove the DDE. Also I read that removing the DDE is not a good idea for people like me who need to open numerous firefox browser windows at one time. Furthermore, the MozzilaZine article refers only to problems opening a URL link in a MS Outlook email when Firefox is NOT running. My problem concerns the opening of URL links in MS Word when Firefox IS running!
I've run countless different virus programmes, rootkit checkers etc but they all come up blank. However, I did come across guidance on this website: http://antivirus.about.com/od/windowsbasics/a/shellopen.htm which suggests that something may have altered the shell open command for two registry keys used by Firefox.

The default value for each of these should be "%1" %*. But on my user, the default value reads:

What should the value be for these two files?

Laptop needs an "Aperture Lite"? Just for reviewing projects.

I am never going to run Aperture on my powerbook or older
computers. I do need to show clients their weddings.
Apple! Any chance of an Aperture Lite that can view projects only on
our 1.25 12inch powerbook? I don't need the conversions or other
tools that drag down the speed. I do need to show client and would
love the same interface for that purpose.
Sure would be nice to see a light table, book design and review
interface on our powerbook.

There are many software programs that have lite
versions. I don't see why
Aperture can't also just for all of us with older
powerbooks and computers that can meet the high end
requirements. Aperture could read the powerbook
requirements and install a lite version for viewing
only. A lite version that is not so power hungry
would be a great idea for client review. A lite
version could read the raw files and display proxy
that would open fast, show a light table or even have
the book design feature.
I was thinking out loud about what would be nice for
those of us with the older powerbooks that can not
install or use Aperture. A trimmed down version
would still be valuable in the way we want to use it
as a library and for showing clients our wedding
galleries.
iPhoto or Preview would work for this and they both cost nothing, actually even on my iBook Aperture is very usuable for browsing and proofing.

My aim is to produce two outputs of the same master project,
HTML help and Webhelp each one will be used differently in my
compnay.
Producing two outputs is fine but the problem was that
external links are done differently for HTML help and Webhelp and
as I Knew from you that this can be solved using conditional tags.
Actually I am new to conditional tags and I don't know how to
use them. Could you please help me to do this or recommend a link

A project can only have one main() function. If you have two, then name them (say) main1() and main2(). Then do something like
int main()
main1();
main2();
return 0;
Or you can run just one of them by commenting out the call to the other.
If something like this does not work for you, then you need to explain more about your code.

New browser window for Jump Query

Hi SAPGuru,
     I have main Query with three jumps Query (QA, QB, QC). I created web template with main query and three other web templates for jump query. All are working fine. When I am running main query template and trying to jump from main query to QA web template. Its open a new browse window thats fine. So now I have total two browsers are open. Now when I try to jump from main query to QB that web template is showing in the browser window which is shown by QA. Means its overwrite QA query with QB query in browser.
     I need to open a new browser window when I jump from main query to child query. In short I like to open one browser for main query and three another browsers (QA, QB, QC) to jump query so, I can compare all query with different browser window.
         Am I missing something in web template side or IEs option side?

Check the RRI_DISPLAY_TARGET property of the web template. make sure you do not have this set to open in the QA window.

Working together with the other two editors on the same project

Dear All,
My situation is that I have three editors working together but not in the same place, and all of us have our own FCP. In short, my question is how we can work together.
From my understanding, I need to Recompress two copies of the media files by using Media Manager and store the files into two portable firewire hard drives to give them to the other two editors first.
Then I really have no idea how we call exchange our bin, sequence and project after we work on it. In Avid, I know I can just copy the bin and manually put it into project folder. How about FCP?

I've been researching digital asset management theory and practical applications for years. While doing so, I've been studying practices at production shops where several artists or technicians work on the same projects using remote connections and a variety of creative applications like Photoshop, Flash, and video editors. Without centralized network storage that is deliberately built into the hardware systems, all I have come across are complex processes that require careful policing and stringent adherence to filenaming and file placement conventions as well as mutual commitment from all parties to communicate openly, precisely, and on some kind of dependable schedule.
All of these ad hoc management processes are doomed to failure because, just by the burden of the paperwork, they impede the flow of the job. And yet without them, all parties rapidly become confused and work is lost or duplicated needlessly, making a joke of the whole thing. As soon as one party is allowed to sidestep or ignore one step in the elaborate process, the entire process can be discarded.
My limited experience with joint editing is to divide the project into sections and marry the segments collaboratively instead of trying to allow everyone to work the whole project at the same time.
