Apex 2.0 - using a list entry shall not generate a report

Hello ALL,
how can I avoid that when I click a list entry in my list area (which will lead in a new page) that the new page will be rendered but the report shall first start after a user click on a "run-report" button. The point is that every time I change from one page to another page the reports always are generated immediately this means the SQL-Query is performed by using a link in my aplication. I hope you understand my problem. If not please let me know best regards

try the following:
1) create a button on the page of your report (but not in the region of the report)
2) It should be of type "Submit" and should direct to the same page
3) Go into the created branch and add as Request your Button name eg: TEST
4) Create any other search field
5) Go to your report region and set a condition of type "Request = Expression 1" and write eg: TEST into the Expression 1
That should do it

Reporting Services R2 log entries have stopped generating on report execution.

Hi -
I have a new instance of a reporting server and the log files have quit generating on report execution.
When the services restart this is the log file:

We have logging turned on on the server. Report Server Mode is Native. Dont see anything in the application log about failed service.

Have you recently install any update such as MS12-070 (KB2716440)? If so, it is a known issue for some patches for SQL Server. The reason is as follows:
When a .NET application starts up, the .NET Framework tries to check if the Microsoft assemblies are right and have not been modified, this is done through connecting to a server that has a revocation list in internet. When the framework tries to connect
to the server to check if it has access to internet with an elevated timeout, this makes that any other .NET application that has less timeout setting fails (such as SSIS or SSRS) with timeout error.
For example, the error message "The request failed or the service did not respond in a timely fashion." means that the SSRS timeout is lower than the timeout of the connection to the revoke list server established by .NET Framework.
To work around the issue, we usually use two approaches:
Increase the value of ServicesPipeTimeout registry key of Reporting Services
Disable generatePublisherEvidence element of ReportingServicesService.exe.config file

Firefox crashes first time only. Afterwards, I can load and use it. I do not receive crash reports but have done all the recommended troubleshooting. Advice?

My Toshiba laptop is only a couple months old. I have checked to make sure everything is updated. Ever since I've installed Mozilla, it crashes when I open it. It will stay up for anywhere between 5 and 15 seconds before it crashes. When I open Mozilla after the crash, it works fine. I have tried all the suggested troubleshooting and am tired of waiting through that first crash to use the internet.
Also, I have next seen a Mozilla crash report window.

As I see, your problems might be derivated from a plug-in.
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

*MB25, Reservation list (History) is not generated.*

Problem: When Running MB25 by searching GOOD RECIPIENT, user's can't get
the reservation list history before 2012 as usual. The Problem has been noticed
beginning of Feb. 2012.
But in the system that material documents has been created against the reservation number.
(In MSEG entry is available against the reservation number but reservation number is not showing in RESB)
Note:
we didn't do any archiving process in the system.
This issue is manual and automatic reservations.

Organizing entries in link list shall not be possible for standard users

Hello,
how can I avoid that a standard user can organize the entries in the iView Links List?
That means the link 'Organize Entries' shall not be shown for them.
Only the content manager shall be able to organize.

I got the solution by myself:
In the KM repositories click on the context menue of /documents/links and choose 'Details'.
In the opened window choose Settings > Permissions and change the permission you like.

Email multiple spools from background job - SM36 using Spool List recipient

I create a background job using Spool List Recipient to email me the reports. The program that I scheduled to run creates 2 spools. When the spools are sent via email, only the last spool is sent.
Please advise on how I can get the 2 spools sent via email.

i would not use the Spool List recipient from Job and use the function RSPO_SPOOLJOB_TO_OFFICE in your Program instead.

How to download subtotals into xl sheet while using alv list display

hi all,
i have a reqiurement i.e.
iam displaying the data by using alv list display. i have one option called Download in my PF-STATUS.when i click this button it downloads the data .now my requirement is when i cllick on subtotals list displays asubtotals according to the sales order no.now i click doenload button then it has download the data into xlsheet with subtotals and grandtotals.
anybody can send me the sample code plz.

Using ALV lists you do not need a special function for downloading. Simply calculate the totals and subtotals on your ALV list and then press the (toolbar or menu bar) button "Print Preview...".
The print preview display a "flat" list including the subtotals that can be downloaded to Excel.

Error while generating the report in BI using CRM

dear experts... . / friends ...
i have created a query long back called SERVICE REQUEST using Query designer
using that particular query i have generating the reports from MAY 1 to till date
in my report i have a characteristics called USER STATUS , for this user status i can restrict the below values i.e
open
reopen
waiting
in - transfer
resolved
new
completed
in the above values , i want to get the transaction numbers which are not completed i.e. i need to exclude complete
and i need to include all the above values
but after generating the report , am getting completed records too...
and in the report i saw for that completed record i have OPEN DOCUMENTS(key figures) and NO.OF DOCUMENT HEADERS(key figures) is 0
actually if we see any updated record for the particular report the key figure NO.OF DOCUMENT HEADERS should be 1 right?
so in my scenario if NO.OF DOCUMENT HEADERS getting 0 so the filter condition for COMPLETED , is not working
so that the reason even though i have filtered the COMPLETED value for the USER STATUS field , am getting those
fields....
so friends kindly help me in this regard to avoid completed value for the filed USER STATUS..

Accounting entries not generating during return deliver PGR

Please any body can help me i am creating a return delivery when doing PGR it should be created the material document as well as accounting document. But the problem is it is only creating material documents i.e. only quantity is updating but accounting entry is not generating. Even i have tried in OMS2 by quantity and value update.
Please help me give me the solution.

Hi Das,
Accounting documents are created when billing documents are generated. Accounting documents are never ever generated when a returns delivery document is created.
If u have created billing document for normal sales process and if, an accounting document is generated, One more accounting document is going to be generated when u Cancel the billing document.
In ur case....If U have created a returns delivery document, create credit memo w.r.t returns delivery document. Then an accounting document is generated if ur account determination is configured in ur system.

I have two queries. Depending on some parameter value, I would like to use one of these queries to generate my report. Is it possible to programmatically change the SQL query used to generate the Oracle Report.

There are two options:
- The easy way
In the report paper layout create two frames, one for each query , and at runtime
display only one based on your parameters. (using format triggers on the frames)
- the not so easy way (but more elegant)
create the query at runtime using xml customizations using the examples from

[CS4] How to create list entries having button using ADM ?

Hi All,
I want to create list box using ADM whose entries can have button. like we see in layer panel, there is a button to select arts of layer as figure shows.
I tried to use function like sADMItem->AddItem(listBoxRef,linkButton) but there is no effect.
plz suggest how to do so.

You can do this, but its a lot of work.
First, you can't add buttons to list entries. Second, that's not an ADM list in the Layers panel, thats an ADM Hierarchy Control. If you have no children of top-level items, then it will look like a list.
To do this, you'll need to use an ADM Hierarchy Control and you'll have to implement the Draw() routine of the entries of said control. It'll be up to you to draw everything -- the icon, the text, etc. Then you can also draw your 'button'.
Next, you'll need to implemented the Track() routine. You can have it do the default for most things, but you'll need to check for clicks and see if they're in the bounds of the 'button' you drew. If so, you can do whatever you want that button to do (and change some state that makes the button draw differently). I don't reccommend animating the press of the button, though that's probably doable (its likely very hard though).
The code for this is quite extensive, but I'd look at IADMHierarchyList.hpp & BaseADMHierarchyList.hpp/cpp in the SDK directory. You'll be sub-classing those guys to do all this. I don't know if there's any sample code demonstrating this or not.

How to reference session state in a list entry label

You can use &<item>. to reference session state values which can then be used in titles and item labels but it seems it does not work in the label for a list entry (i.e. to build a menu). Is there a workaround?

OK I just realized that referencing session state doesn't work for lists used by Enkitec's NavBar plugin solution. It does reference the &<ITEM>. correctly for normal APEX lists. Anyone know how to reference session state when using Enkitec's NavBar plugin solution?

Hi santhosh
while you are creating the fieldcatalog there is a field called 'ROLLNAME' - Data element for F1 help.
If your F1 help is in reference to this data element you can specifiy it here so that it appears on the List viewer. Otherwise you have to create your own data element with the documentation and specify it here for it to appear.
In the Grid control, you can use events for triggering the same.

I would like to create a list entry which opens a new windows and directs that window to a specific website. I have tried creating the list entry and it works except it is redirecting to the web site in the current window.
at the moment in the list entry options under "Target" I have the following

Yes there is. You will need to write your own javascript function using window.open(), which has lots of parameters that control size, scroll bar, menus etc. Do not be tempted to put window.open directly into the URL because it causes problems.
Do a Google on javascript window.open and you should get all the info you need.
Another approach is to do a[b] file > save as in apex and then examine the JS files that are downloaded. You can call any of these javascript functions from apex and a number of them open windows in one form or another.
I can knock something together for you if you struggle.
