How can I change state (in line, disconect, ...) in GroupWise Messenger by Code ? I can't find object in All API to do that.

You can create a messenger-style application using JavaTV fairly easily. JavaTV supports standard java.net, and so any IP-based connection is pretty easy to do. The hard part of the application will be text input, but people have been using cellphone keypads to send SMS messages for long enough that they're familiar with doing this. This doesn't work well for long messages, where you really need a decent keyboard, but for short SMS-type messages it's acceptable.
The biggest problem that you need to work around is the return channel. Many receivers only have a dial-up connection, ties up the phone line and potentially costs people money if they don't get free local calls. Always-on return channels (e.g. ADSL or cable modem) are still pretty uncommon, so it's something that you nee to think about. Of course, if you do have an always-on connection then this problem just goes away.
This is really one of those cases that's technically do-able, but the infrastructure may not be there to give users a good experience.

Each chat session between two guys occurs through a queue,
and each chat session between more that two guys occurs through a Topic
You can have a send queue and a receive queue for each client,

Edit the globals.pl file. Look for a line similar to:

You can't add a new contact to specific group and there is no app for this. 3rd party apps don't have access to private iPhone APIs with security concerns being a primary reason, which such a function would require.

Yahoo Messenger not using login/profile I entered...logged in as extra, but chatting as primary.

Whenever I use IM on yahoo, it chats with people as [email protected], but I am logged in as [email protected]
Has anyone had this issue? Any thoughts... solutions?

Java IDE (JBuilder) cannot find J2ME's API and packages

Hi,
could anyone help me with this?
I went to sun's java web site, and I downloaded and install the latest version of the wireless toolkit. I need to create a windows application that can send/receive MMS messenges, and hence the need for the J2ME's API and also WMA's API.
However, even after I installed the wireless toolkit, my Java IDE (JBuilder 2005) cannot detect any packages like "javax.microedition.*" or "javax.wireless.*" etc etc
Is there a place where I can download/purchase J2ME. Please be patient with me because I am a newbie in the world of J2ME... thanks :)

When you configuring your project in JBuilder just add some jar (which you need) from wtk library in section "include"
Project properties
Paths
Required libries
and add here addition j2me libraries.

Social API doesn't work for me

Social API buttons (FBchat) in aren't available since updating to FF Aurora 29. The sidebar is available!

The support article that covers "FBchat", [[How does Facebook Messenger for Firefox work?]], probably needs to be updated for Firefox Aurora.
[http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/aurora/ Firefox Aurora] is a pre-beta test build, which means it's still a "work in progress". I'm not testing it myself. If you don't get a better answer from someone familiar with Aurora, here is a bug report I found on the Social API sidebar, in case it helps:

How to remove Messenger contacts???

OK, it has been long enough for Skype to take Messenger's place. I have Bing'd, Google'd and Yahoo'd the process to remove the Messenger contacts from my people list in the Skype app. I have re-installed defunct versions of Messenger on throw away virtual machines so that I can sign in to my Microsoft account and actually remove my Messenger contacts there as the API it communicates with is still apparently available. The contacts do not show up in the desktop verison of the Skype client, only the Windows 8 Store version of the client., version 2.7.0.1002. I can click these people and block/remove them until I am blue in the face, but they will not leave my people list. I know none of these contacts will ever be online again, Messenger is gone. How can these ancient artifacts be removed.
Wait, before you say "cancel your Microsoft account and create another", I just plain can/will not. I have way too much tied to my Microsoft account with Microsoft (MSDN, Azure, Outlook.com). No way I am doing that. I really like Skype, not a fan of the way the transition to it has been handled, but it has been years now and this is still not cleaned up. What gives?

I totally agree and millions of Skype users do to and have the same opinion and problem. We have transitioned to Skype, Microsoft has pushed us to do so, but we still are tied to old technology with no way to leave it behind. The transition from Messenger to Skype has been one of the worst planned. We should be able to delete Messenger contacts directly from the Windows 8 Skype app or desktop app. So why has this post not had a reply from Microsoft?

How to handle Event in JACOB API

I am read the outlook mail using JACOB[Java Com Bridge] API successfully, now i want to handle events for outlook mail using JACOB. and also i can able to catch the new mail event. but i am unable to catch any deleted mail and move mail from one folder to another folder. This is extremely important for my project. so any one please tell me how to handle and catch the Outlook deleted event and move event using JACOB.

Windows can be closed in a number of ways and the simplest way to trap them would be to handle Window Closing in code behind.
This is also the easiest way to show dialogs if that's how you wanted the warning message to appear.
This:

Looks like a checkbox to me, seeing as you have IsChecked.
That presumably means you already have that bound to a viewmodel and visible to the user.
You can therefore just test that value from the view.
If you prefer to hide that instead then there are several options.
You could have a dependency property and a binding in code behind which binds to the viewmodel. Test that in your event.
Or
You could save the value when it changes to application.current.resources. Since dependency properties and bindings are a bit wordy this is easier.
Or
You could have just a variable in the view code behind and use messenger to tell that when the value changes from the viewmodel:

And how are you spawning the php instances? I don't see that in the daemons array anywhere.
EDIT: It looks like the info in that page is no longer using pre-spawned instances, but lighttpd adaptive-spawn. The documentation has been made inconsistent it looks like.
You will note that with pre-spawned information, the config looks different[1].
You need to do one or the other, not both (eg. choose adaptive-spawn, or pre-spawn..not both).

IP Chat Messenger

Hi, i'm writing an IP Chat messenger that also allows file transferring for our project. I was wondering how I can allow the file sender to show a dialog to the other side asking if he wishes to accept the file or not. Any APIs or steps that I need to look up on or might be helpful. Thanks.

I doubt that there's an API that you could call, but you might be able to do it with sockets. If you run a packet sniffer (like the open-source Ethereal) while running Yahoo messenger, you might be able to learn a bit about the protocol and try sending the tcp/ip data yourself using Java.
