API HZ_CUST_ACCOUNT_SITE_V2PUB.CREATE_CUST_ACCT_SITE fails in R12

Hi,
I was creating the customize form in EBS version 11.5.9 of CUSTOMER CREATIION. Now i am transfer it R12. During the transfer of data using API I get an error message which mentioned below.
ERROR
The operating unit is either invalid or it cannot be derived. Please verify your Multi-Org profile options.
The API Function named HZ_CUST_ACCOUNT_SITE_V2PUB.CREATE_CUST_ACCT_SITE is not working properly.
CAN ANYONE GUIDE ME WHAT CHANGES I AM DONING IN APIs.

I am using:
APPS.FND_GLOBAL.APPS_INITIALIZE(
     0,          -- Application User ID (SYSADMIN here)
     20678,     -- Responsibility ID (Receivables Manager here)
     222          -- Responsibility Application ID (Receivables)
I don't know if that is how it should be.
In my environment, how do I check the above 3 parameters to see if they are correct. Where do I go to check that those IDs indeed belong to profiles with the right access levels?This is not the correct way to set the organization context.
Please issue the following instead.
mo_global.init('<Module>')
mo_global.set_policy_context('<S/M>',FND_GLOBAL.ORG_ID); -- S for single org_id and M for multiple org_id
Since you do not have MOS access, please Google the above and you should get many hits!

The creating account site API fails with error :

Other API's work well.
I don't know why I have this error just for this one.

Actually, There are two things associated here.
1. MO: Security profile option in profile>system in system administrator resp should be set to BGNAME (or given Multi orig access) for the responsibility you are running the program.
AND
2. MO:Operating Unit profile option in profile>system in system administrator resp should be set to OU at responsibility level.
3. If you are running it explicitly from backend, then use mo_global.set_policy_context to set the OU for which you are creating the site. Ensure after you execute mo_global.set_policy_context, you get the value of OU in MO_GLOB_ORG_ACCESS_TMP table.

Error 30694: Error in API - update item failed

Today we are seeing this error:
"Error 30694: Error in API - update item failed"
when trying to edit existing url items or create new ones. I see
three other entries for this error, but no resolution.

I suggest you apply the 3.0.9.8.1 patch, available on metalink.
Let us know if that clears up the problem.
Also, what version of the database are you using.

API: Transport connect failed

Hello,
I've a Tacacs server ver. 3.2 running on a Win2000 SRV SP4 for outbound connections and a twin server for validate inbound connections (from Vpn Cli).
Sometimes service Tacacs seems hang (more often for outbound conns, but sometimes for inbound also), cpu's process CSTacas becomes over 90%, authentication/authorisation are not permitted and I should restart service to let Tacacs to work again.
Any ideas ? I post TCS.log if useful, thanks in advance

Hello,
This can happen due to,
-Corrupt registry
-SYN attack which overwhelmed the cstacacs service with half-open tcp connections.
-Single to single connect, acs getting out of threads, please disable single connect on acs and on aaa-client.
ACS-->Network configuration-->AAA-client--->Edit--->Single connect.

HZ_CUST_ACCOUNT_SITE_V2PUB.update_cust_site_use fails with no customer

Hoping someone can help me here.
I'm using theHZ_CUST_ACCOUNT_SITE_V2PUB.get_cust_site_use_rec to successfully retrieve a cust_site_use record from the database.
I then update one column and use HZ_CUST_ACCOUNT_SITE_V2PUB.update_cust_site_use to try and update the record back to the database and I get
"No Customer Site Use Was Found with ID <number>"
This doesn't make any sense, I retrieved the record using the get api, so I know it's there ?
From googling around someone has suggested that the retrieve API uses HZ_CUST_SITE_USES_ALL and the update API uses HZ_CUST_SITE_USES
HZ_CUST_SITE_USES has no records in it, so if this is true, then that's why it fails.
Can anyone shed any light on this ?

the note that you provide is not up to date although Modified 07-DEC-2010.
This Note 732671.1 with Modified 22-SEP-2008 says "Muti-org context setting will no longer work in R12 by using just fnd_global.apps_initialize. Use mo_global.init to secure the ensure that Multi-org context is set before running the API. "
The note that you provide missing the "mo_global.init".
Now my API works!

Crystal Reports Server 2008 - RAS API ReportAppSession.initialize() fail

Hi,
We have a servlet (running on Websphere 6.1 container) trying to connect to Crystal Reports Server 2008 using RAS Java API to open unmanaged reports.
It fails at the very beginning of ReportAppSession.initialize() with error message:
com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.lib.ReportSDKServerException: Unable to connect to the server: HQ-ROSIE03. - Connection refused: connect-- Error code:-2147217387 Error code name:connectServer
HQ-ROSIE03 is the server name hosting CRS 2008. I try to pass in either HQ-ROSIE03 or HQ-ROSIE03:1566 to setReportAppServer(), but no help.
On CRS2008, I checked from Central Management Console that all servers are up and running. I also add "-ipport 1566" to the commandline of ReportApplicationServer from CMC. It does not help either.
Would you please tell me what might cause the problem based on the error code and message? Thank you.

There is a typo when adding -ipport 1566 to the RAS server command from CMC.
It is now resolved.

Call Stimulus Profile with Veristand API leads to failing test

I wan´t to call a stimulus profile file programmatically. I discovered that there is no VI for that in the LabVIEW VeriStand API (for the legacy stimulus profile editor such a VI exists). But in the Example finder exists a VI which uses the .NET VeriStand API to acomplish this (http://forums.ni.com/t5/NI-VeriStand/Start-Stimulus-Profile-from-LabVIEW/m-p/1789162). Furthermore someone created a Custom Control for the workspace which uses this .NET invoke (http://www.ni.com/example/31335/en/). Both examples work in general but I have one problem which i´m not able to fix:
If I use a "Update Model Parameters From File" step in the stimulus profile to change the parameters of a model the step is going to fail with the error: "Error: -307650. Details: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." This only happens if i use the .NET VeriStand API invoke to call the stimulus profile. If I start the stimulus profile out of the Stimulus Profile Editor this error doesn´t occur and the Model Parameter Update works correctly.
If I delete the "Update Model Parameters From File" step the whole stimulus profile passes just fine.
Has anyone an idea how to fix this issue or how to programmatically call a stimulus profile file with the VeriStand API? Thanks for any suggestions in advance and have a nice day.

I can reproduce what you are seeing. You can work around this very quickly by making a call to the StimulusProfile method CheckForErrors before starting its execution. This method is called by the Stimulus Profile Editor before it starts execution, and it must have some side-effect that causes the Update Parameters step to work correctly.

Hi all,
Client would like to add a favorite on all users in R12 instance.
The favorite should point to the 'Open Notifications' function.
Does anyone know of a way to mass load favorite menu entries using an API or OI?
It looks like the favorites ends up in the 'ICX_CUSTOM_MENU_ENTRIES', but cant find a public API.
