API Reference of SAP Visual Business Geo Maps - SAP UI5

Hi,
I came across a blog post written regarding making SAP Visual Business available on SAPUI5 (since version 1.18) and also came across few demos at this link.
But I am not able to find any API documentation regarding this.
We are working on a small POC using SAP Fiori/SAPUI5, in which we want to make use of maps.
Could anyone please let us know as to where we can find more info regarding the API reference, documentation or some examples with sample code.
Thanks,
Vinay C

Hi Ella,
Indeed we have! We posted a guide on Client side development: UI5 Development with Visual Business
This will explain the basics and is more usable then the plain API doc in the demo kit.
Cheers Uwe

  • How to create interactive map in SAP Visual Business using SAP UI5 SDK

    Hi,
    Please tell me,
    How to create interactive map in SAP Visual Business using SAP UI5 SDK.
    Is it possible to create interactive map using VB Control in SAP UI5 SDK..?
    if possible please any one let me know.

    Hi folks, one question:
    We have our development close moved and now it is earlier than originally planned.
    That means that we maybe can't finish our convenient API and you have to wait till we will release it - early 2015 is planned.
    But there is another option:
    Currently we have a API based on json. The developer has to create json and  to transfer it to the Visual Business control.
    This interface is more used as a low level API and we are developing on top the more convenient one. So all the features are the same.
    It will stay stable & compatible in the future and you can build on it.
    Do you want to use this interface?
    Then I will publish the documentation.
    Let me know.
    Thanks

  • SAP business process maps for mySAP ECC6.0?

    Any idea how we can get the SAP business process maps for mySAP ECC6.0?  Is this imbedded in Solution Manager?
    Thanks,
    Phani

    Hello Phani,
    I suppose you are looking for the solution maps for mySAP ERP (which contains SAP ECC as a component). These maps are not contained in the SAP Solution Manager, but they are delivered with the SAP Solution Composer, an offline PC tool which allows you to browse and pre-scope your own solution (evaluating your solution). The tool itself including the latest solution map content is always available for download at the SAP Service Marketplace:
    <a href="http://service.sap.com/s-composer">http://service.sap.com/s-composer</a>
    You can also view the mySAP ERP - as part of the cross-industry maps -  right here:
    <a href="http://service.sap.com/form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000338980&">http://service.sap.com/form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000338980&</a>
    The SAP Solution Manager would then come into play for configuring the respective processes (implementing you solution).

  • SAP standard business process mapping

    Hi All,
    Can you provide any link or document where I can find standard business process mapping with various SAP modules for Hi-tech manufacturing industry.

    Cool,
    The below link should help you.
    http://help.sap.com/bp_hightechv1600/HighTech_DE/html/index.htm
    In the area Industry-specific information you will find general industry information and general information on SAP Best Practices for High Tech.
    The section Business Blueprint provides a SAP Best Practices Solution Scope document which outlines the processes and functions covered by the SAP Best Practices for High Tech. It describes the various functions and explains their business purposes.
    The SAP Best Practices Solution Map shows how various processes are covered by SAP Best Practices and illustrates the preconfigured processes in a consistent, multi-level way, in order to demonstrate the value SAP Best Practices can add to a company.
    Under Preconfigured Scenarios, you will find all the scenarios in the scope of SAP Best Practices for High Tech, grouped accoring to the different SAP solutions.
    Hope this information helps too.
    Thanks,

  • Where can I find the complete Oracle Business Rules Java API Reference ?

    Does anybody know where to get the complete Oracle Business Rules Java API Reference ?
    The version on http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/web.1013/b28966/toc.htm is incomplete. It is missing the entire "oracle.rules.sdk.ruleset" package.

    Kim,
    The oracle.rules.sdk.ruleset package is only for internal operation. The public interface to creating rules is oracle.rules.sdk.editor.ruleset , and this is included in the javadoc.

    regards,

    Hello Ashish,
                     There must be some problem with IGS server. So check whether your IGS server is configure properly or not.
    Follow these steps:
    1. Check the path first
      Local Drive : \ usr \ SAP \ J2E \ JC01 \ J2EE \ admin
    2. Connect to SAP J2EE Engine
    3.Open the Visual Administrator Window, In Global Configuration page ,go to
           CONFIGURATION ADAPTER  -> WEBDYNPRO -> sap.com - > tcwddispwda -> propertysheet.default
    4. Switch to edit mode
    5.Change property entry , http://<server name: port number>
    6.Exit the visual Administrator window
    7.Restart J2EE Engine.

  • Best Practices for ASAP Inputs - As-Is Business Process Mapping

    I am new to the SAP world and my company is in the early phases of implementation.  I am trying to prepare the "as-is" business process maps for the Project Preparation and Business Blueprint phases and I am looking for some best practices.  I've been told that we don't want them to go too deep but are there best practices and/or examples that give more information on what we should be capturing and the format.
    I have searched the forums, WIKI, ASAP documentation, and other areas but have not found much at this level of detail.  I have reviewed the [SAP BPM Methodology|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SAPBPX/BPM+Methodology] but again I am looking for more detail if anyone can direct me to that.
    Thank you in advance for any assistance.
    Kevin

    Hello Kevin,
    You can try to prepare a word document for each of your As-Is processes first before going to As-Is Process Design in a flowchart.
    The word document can have 7 sections -
    The first section can include Name of the Process Owner, Designation, Process Responsibility, User Department(s) involved, Module Name and a Document number for reference.
    The second section can include Process Definition details - Name of the major process, Name of the minor process, Name of the sub process and a Process ID for future reference.
    The third section can be titled as Inputs - this contains details of - Input, Vendor for the input, Type of Input (Data / Activity / Process), Category of Input (Vital / Essential / Desirable) and Mode of Information (Hard / Soft Copy).
    The fourth section can be Process Details. Here you can write the process in detail.
    The fifth section to contain outputs of the process, customer to whom these outputs are sent, type of output (report / approval / plan / request / email / fax), Category of Output (Vital / Essential / Desirable) and Mode of Information (Hard / Soft Copy).
    The sixth section can be Issues / Pain Areas in this process - Issue Description, Remarks, Expectations, Priority (High / Medium / Low)
    The seventh section can be expected reports in future out of this process for internal and external reporting.
    Hope this helps your question.

  • Oracle ADF Model and BC4J api reference in JDev 10.1.3.03

    Hi
    Where I can find Oracle ADF Model and Business Components API Reference in JDev 10.1.3.03? Maybe it's not ready yet?

    I don't know how up-to-date they are, but the javadoc files are all archived into jar files in the JDeveloper installation at: <jdev-install-dir>\jdev\doc\ohj. Most of the business component interfaces and classes are covered in the bc4jjavadoc.jar. You can either open the index.html file of the jar in JDeveloper and move through the links in the preview pane, or use the jar utility (or other unzipping util) to extract the jar file into your directory structure and then access the html files directly.

  • Geo MAP in Web dynpro Application

    Hi all,
       we are trying to test the GeoMap Functionality in SAP Help we found that some Software Component is required to run the Geo Map Web Dynpro Application as given below
    "The GeoMap UI element can only be used with a special software component that is provided by the geographical maps.
    This software component which you can use to expand the Internet Graphics Service (IGS) is not included in the delivered SAP Web Application Server package. It must be purchased from a third-party provider. The GeoMap UI element cannot be displayed without this complementary software component. "
    can u help me with some pointers to these third party providers.

  • Routing in Visual Business

    Hi,
    I would like to do routing in Visual business. It seems the only way to draw a path is to use polygon class and provide lat long for all the points where road turns (intermediate points also in case of an arc so that it's rendered realistically). Most routing service provide turn by turn navigation which are not suitable for drawing polygon as the actual road and the polygon line would be way off the mark between two points which are good distance apart.
    For ex the following manuevre from mapquest
                            "signs": [],
                            "index": 4,
                            "maneuverNotes": [],
                            "direction": 3,
                            "narrative": "Take Eastern Freeway.",
                            "iconUrl": "http://content.mapquest.com/mqsite/turnsigns/rs_slight_right_sm.gif",
                            "distance": 8.216,
                            "time": 469,
                            "linkIds": [],
                            "streets": [
                                "Eastern Freeway"
                            "attributes": 128,
                            "transportMode": "AUTO",
                            "formattedTime": "00:07:49",
                            "directionName": "Northeast",
                            "mapUrl": "http://open.mapquestapi.com/staticmap/v4/getmap?key=Fmjtd|luur2hua2q,as=o5-9wax0z&type=map&size=225,160&pois=purple-5,18.957824,72.842689,0,0|purple-6,19.042652,72.90866,0,0|&center=19.000238,72.8756745&zoom=7&rand=119631863&session=5413f1a3-0007-0002-02b7-4cdb-00163e5c1556",
                            "startPoint": {
                                "lng": 72.842689,
                                "lat": 18.957824
                            "turnType": 1
    would result in straight line for a distance of 8.2 miles whereas the actual road has lots of bends.
    How do we get around this problem?
    Is there any free service which would give long list of lat longs which are say 100 metres apart?

    Hi,
    It depends on the map provider service which polygone you receive. Some map providers provide only points where you as a driver have to leave the current road. Some have additional points which follow the actual road and provide a realistic route on a map.
    It depends in most cases of a parameter which type of return polygone you get.
    Some vendors provide a different routing service for getting more points.
    Visual Business itself doesn't include an own routing service - we have an oData service as an single access point for applications and this service calls an external map provider.
    So it depends on your map service provide and the parameter of your service call.
    Since each provider has their own format, you have to look into their documentation how to achieve this.

  • Business Process Maps/ Process Flows for Retail Operations

    Dear All,
               I am looking for Business Process Maps/ Process Flows for Retail Operations like forecasting, inter store transfers, ASN, Procurement, Allocation etc.
    Kindly provide me with a link, docs, PPts etc.
    Appreciation would be in the form of points.
    Regards,
    Jack Silverz

    Hi Jack
    Seeing as you only got one reply - I'm jumping in with my 2-peneth.
    Seldom have I found process content which sufficiently explains both manual and automated processes in a format which is sufficiently simple to engage discussion (between project teams and business representatives).  Is there a way to strike the required balance - simplicity for the sake of engagement; yet rich enough to record SAP dependencies, system requirements and so forth.
    An answer in my opinion is [here|https://ecohub.sdn.sap.com/irj/ecohub/solutions/control2007].  (Honest account - I work for Nimbus.  But you don't have to take my word for it.  Check out our case studies if you like. This approach is being adopted by several strategic SAP accounts several of which are listed [here|https://ecohub.sdn.sap.com/irj/ecohub/solutions/control2007]).
    What might partly address your requirement is the [APQC Process Classification Framework|http://www.apqc.org/portal/apqc/site/?path=/research/pcf/index.html] . We took this framework as a starting point for building a model company process map. I cannot claim that it is Retail specific, but we have quite a few retail customers who have adopted Control 2007 and also several supply chain optimization projects which we have delivered.
    If this is of interest - we provide a web hosted demonstration environment where you can explore the APQC process content I mentioned above. You can contact me through [SAP EcoHub|https://ecohub.sdn.sap.com/irj/ecohub/solutions/control2007] for more details

  • Visual Business Problem

    Hello,
    I have a problem with a new installed Visual Business Tool (Screenshot) in SAPGUI Side Panel.
    I doesnt react (only blue field). By mistake I switched off the log (Trace 0) and I cant see Logs anymore. Do you know how I reactivate the log? ActiveX Elements are installed and scripting is active.
    It seems to be the component like in the link below:
    Active Component Framework (ACF) -  Web Dynpro ABAP - SAP Library
    Regards
    Mike

    Thanks Uwe!
    the trace is active after filling in this table. I created the new certificate and saved it localIy. After that I activated the business function FND_VISUAL_BUSINESS in SFW5 and now I get a white screen and following errors. My problem with side panels is to send the right data string / Tag from Dynpro Screen to Side Panel using table NWBC_VC_GUI_TAG. The data doesnt show in side panel after calling the transaction. How can I test the data flow? I used the SAP GUI Property Collector.
    Thanks a lot!
    Mike
