API to insert dependent certification records

Hello,
Is there any seeded API to load dependent certification records?
Requirement:
Customer maintaining spread sheet or Table that has dependent information and certification type and receipt date;
Is there any way to load these data into Oracle with out any manual intervention(life event process) ?
They would like to create dependent certification records and mark them as received and the enrollment should not be suspended but the future records can be processed with life events.
Thanks for your inputs.

  • Custom PL/SQL API that inserts the data into a custom interface table.

We are developing a custom Web ADI integrator for importing suppliers into Oracle.
The Web ADI interface is a custom PL/SQL API that inserts the data into a custom interface table. We have defined the content, uploader and an importer. The importer is again a custom PL/SQL API that will process the records inserted into the custom table and updates the STATUS column of the custom interface table. We want to show the status column back on the spreadsheet.
Defined the 'Document Row' import rule and added the rows that would identify the unique record.
Errored row import rule, we are using a SELECT * from custom_table where status<>'Success' and vendor_name=$param$.vendor_name
The source of this parameter is import.vendor_name
We have also defined an Error lookup.
After the above setup is completed, we invoke the create document and click on Oracle->Upload.
The records are getting imported, but the importer program is failing with An error has occurred while running an API import. The ERRORED_ROWS step 20003:ER_500141, parameter number 1 must contain the value BIND in attribute 1.'

    The same issue.

  • API to insert into AP_INVOICE_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL table

    Hi all,
I am developing an AP chargeback creation program with AP Invoices in 11i.
User wants the chargeback line to be added to the Invoice distribution lines i.e if An invoice has an initial distribtution of 100 equal to its total invoice amount, if we run our chargeback creation program it should add another distribution line say with chargeback amount of 50.
Please help me if there is any API to do the same and if possible any examples on the same.
    Thanks a lot,
    Vicky Sure

I'm not aware of any API that can be used to insert data to this table (APIs exist to delete data from the same table).
    https://blogs.oracle.com/prajkumar/entry/oracle_ap_invoice_apis

I'd suggest you log a SR and confirm the same with Oracle support.

    Thanks for the reply,
But JTF_TERRITORY_PUB is not updating ra_territories table.
I think its not useful for my purpose.

  • INSERT of one record takes 40 seconds; That is much too long;

    Oracle 8.1.7
    Tablestructure:
    10 Fields; 3 numeric; 7 Varchar2(10 Bytes, 30, 5, 230, 4, 7, 15);
The Table contains 3.200.000 records. It was filled with sqlldr. The Fields are mostly filled. The 230-byte field mostly with 40 bytes.
A numeric primary key and a numeric foreign key exist. The foreign key without oracles referential integrity.
The INSERT of one record takes approximately 40 seconds.
Oracle and the database are standard configured.
    Computer:
    Windows NT 2000
    2 INTEL - Processors 500 MHz;
    RAM: 500 MB
    1 Disk ULTRA ATA/66 data transfer rate: 10 - 20 MB/sec
    mean access time 9 ms
Any recommendations to increase the INSERT speed are welcome.

    Hi,
The INSERT of one record takes approximately 40
seconds.Yes, it seems slow, but if you have only one disk and only 500 Mb memory, I wonder if this 40s is slow comparing to another operation like "switching logfile", "starting the database", ...
It also depends how many indexes should maintained, if this time is constant, if the tablespace have enough extent, ...
The tuning of a database is always difficult, the most important is to find the biggest bottelneck. Start by reading the tuning guide, get your ratio, analyze your performance, and see what the problem is (IO/memory/swapping/poor sql/...)
With only one disk, it is normal to have contention between the log writter, the database writter, the oracle software, the operating system. So your ratio should be read with care! Do not tune everywhere at the same time ! Research the cause, then react appriopriatly.

  • API to insert rows in to PO_REQ_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL

    Hi,
Do we have any API to insert rows in to PO_REQ_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL ?
In iProcurement screen, we should be able to create multiple distributions and insert in to the table PO_REQ_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL. Do we have any API to create the rows in this table.
    Thanks,
    HC

But you have users who manually create requisitions without distributions? Those requisitions must be in incomplete status.
I am not sure if the interface can create for existing requisitions.
If it does not, ere is one approach
Write a customization that creates records in the PO_REQUISITIONS_INTERFACE_ALL by looking at the incomplete reqs.
The custom code then creates records in PO_REQ_DIST_INTERFACE_ALL for the distributions.
Then the code cancels/deletes the original requisitions.
Then you run requisition import to create new requisitions with appropriate distributions.
If you keep requisition numbering manual, the new req. number can be the same as the old one that was deleted.

    Hello Peter:
Thanks! I tried to input two detail records and still get only one error.
I don't have pre/post trigger in my form. I use WHEN_BUTTON_PRESSED trigger with the following code:
    if get_block_property('PARENT_DATA',status) = 'CHANGED' or
    get_block_property('DETAIL_DATA',status) in ('CHANGED') then
    COMMIT;
I also try File -> Save. It does not work either.
Do I need to pre/and post trigger to check for it? If so, please show me how.
    Thanks again,
    TD

  • Dependent Certification - Plan Type

    Hi,
Currently we are setting up the Dependent Certification in the Program Enrollment Requirements -> Dependent Coverage -> Plan Type -> Life Event Change..
I am determining the certification requirement using fast formula (Dependent Certification Required)
If we have 4 plan types and 2 certifications (ssn + birth certificate), the certification requirement records will be created for 4 plan types.
For example two dependent will be having 16 certification records.
I guess this will be a time consuming process to certify each dependent.
Will it cause any problem in the enrollment if we received the certifications for one plan type, no need to create certifications for other plan types by using fast formula or any workaround to avoid this?
Did someone come across this situation?
    Thanks
    Arun

ThanksIn all cases above training appears not to be currently required ( however Oracle do seem to suggest it will help)

  • Best way to insert millions of records into the table

    Hi,
Performance point of view, I am looking for the suggestion to choose best way to insert millions of records into the table.
Also guide me How to implement in easier way to make better performance.
    Thanks,
    Orahar.

    Orahar wrote:
Its Distributed data. No. of clients and N no. of Transaction data fetching from the database based on the different conditions and insert into another transaction table which is like batch process.Sounds contradictory.
If the source data is already in the database, it is centralised.
In that case you ideally do not want the overhead of shipping that data to a client, the client processing it, and the client shipping the results back to the database to be stored (inserted).
It is must faster and more scalable for the client to instruct the database (via a stored proc or package) what to do, and that code (running on the database) to process the data.
For a stored proc, the same principle applies. It is faster for it to instruct the SQL engine what to do (via an INSERT..SELECT statement), then pulling the data from the SQL engine using a cursor fetch loop, and then pushing that data again to the SQL engine using an insert statement.
An INSERT..SELECT can also be done as a direct path insert. This introduces some limitations, but is faster than a normal insert.
If the data processing is too complex for an INSERT..SELECT, then pulling the data into PL/SQL, processing it there, and pushing it back into the database is the next best option. This should be done using bulk processing though in order to optimise the data transfer process between the PL/SQL and SQL engines.
Other performance considerations are the constraints on the insert table, the triggers, the indexes and so on. Make sure that data integrity is guaranteed (e.g. via PKs and FKs), and optimal (e.g. FKs should be indexes on the referenced table). Using triggers - well, that may not be the best approach (like for exampling using a trigger to assign a sequence value when it can be faster done in the insert SQL itself). Personally, I avoid using triggers - I rather have that code residing in a PL/SQL API for manipulating data in that table.
The type of table also plays a role. Make sure that the decision about the table structure, hashed, indexed, partitioned, etc, is the optimal one for the data structure that is to reside in that table.

  • What is the best approach to insert millions of records?

    Hi,
What is the best approach to insert millions of record in table.
If error occurred while inserting the record then how to know which record has failed.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hello 942793
There isn't a best approach if you do not provide us the requirements and the environment...
It depends on what for you is the best.
    Questions:
1.) Can you disable the Constraints / unique Indexes on the table?
2.) Is there a possibility to run parallel queries?
3.) Do you need to know the rows which can not be inserted if the constraints are enabled? Or it is not necessary?
4.) Do you need it fast or you have time to do it?
What does "best approach" mean for you?
    Regards,

Do we have a shortcut to insert a duplicate record except PK ?
    Thanks.

Do you want to insert another row with all of the columns the same but with a different PK? If so then:
    INSERT INTO t (pk, col1, col2, col3)
    SELECT new_value_for_pk, col1, col2, col3
    FROM t
WHERE pk = <value>What you use for new_value_for_pk will depend on how the PK is generated.

  • Insert order by records into a view with a instead of trigger

    Hi all,
    I have this DML query:
    INSERT INTO table_view t (a,
                              b,
                              c,
                              d,
                              e)
          SELECT   a,
                   b,
                   c,
                   d,
                   e
            FROM   table_name
ORDER BY   dtable_view is a view with an INSTEAD OF trigger and table_name is a table with my records to be inserted.
I need the ORDER BY clause because in my trigger i call a procedure who treat each record and insert into a table, used in the view. I need to garantee these order.
If i put an other SELECT statement outside, like this:
    INSERT INTO table_view t (a,
                              b,
                              c,
                              d,
                              e)
          SELECT   a,
                   b,
                   c,
                   d,
                   e
            FROM   table_name
ORDER BY   dIt works. But I can put these new SELECT because these query is created automatic by Oracle Data Integrator.
What I'm asking you is if there any solution to this problem without changing anything in the Oracle Data Integrator. Or, in other words, if there is any simple solution other than to add a new SELECT statement.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards.

    Sorry... copy+paste error :)
    INSERT INTO table_view t (a,
                              b,
                              c,
                              d,
                              e)
        SELECT   *
          FROM   (  SELECT   a,
                             b,
                             c,
                             d,
                             e
                      FROM   table_name
ORDER BY   d)I need to insert him by a D column order, because my trigger needs to validate each record and insert him. I have some restrictions. For example, my records are:
    2     1     2006     M
    1     2     2007 M
    1     3     2007     S 2007
    1     2     2007     S 2007
    2     1     2009     S
    2     1     2009     S
I want to insert the 'M' records first and then the 'S' records because the 'S' records only makes sense in target table is exists 'M' records

  • How to insert a specific record into alv

    Hi everyone,
      here is my problem:
I put an ALV GRID control in my screen , it display some records.
and I create a new button on the toolbar, and in the "handle user command class" , I need to
select a record from DB table into a work area.
after I select the record I need, here is the key question:
*I want to insert the record into the ALV at a specific row position which the user decided,
    what should I do?*
      METHOD HANDLE_ON_USER_COMMAND.
        CASE E_UCOMM.
          WHEN CL_GUI_ALV_GRID=>MC_FC_LOC_INSERT_ROW.
          WHEN 'FC_ASSIGN'.
    ***I do some selection here
            select %%%$$%%%^&&** into GS_HOLIDAYS.
*** after the selection, what should I do then????
*** I want to insert the work area GS_HOLIDAYS into ALV at a specific position
    *** e.g.  into the 3rd row.
*** how can I achieve that????
    ***call a method or something??????I don't know
          WHEN 'FC_DELETE'.
          WHEN OTHERS.
        ENDCASE.
      ENDMETHOD.
pls don't let me go through the programs in package "SLIS",because I have already done that and
I haven't solved my problems yet.
    Thanks for your help.

All u need to do is on user command for inserting new records u just insert a blank record in your internal table that u are displaying with required style informaion for making it editable and then refresh alv display by method REFRESH_TABLE_DISPLAY.

  • Insert OR Update records

    Hi All,
I want to write a stored procedure to insert or update the value into the customer table. If the record exist, I need to insert. If it does not exist, I need to update. Could you tell me how do we do it.
My Current stored procedure is :
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE customer_update
    (p_cust_id IN VARCHAR2,
    p_cust_name IN VARCHAR2)
    AS
    BEGIN
    INSERT INTO CUSTOMER (cust_id, cust_NAME, update_dm)
    VALUES (p_cust_id, p_cust_name, sysdate);
    COMMIT;
    END customer_update;

    I think we need to be careful about using EXCEPTION to handle normal (expected) processing. Also, if the row is more likely to exist than not exist, it might be better to try the UPDATE first, and only go for INSERT if SQL%ROWCOUNT = 0;
There's been a few of these sort of questions posted recently, and I find them worrying, becuase it suggests poorly designed systems. The user ought to know whether they are inserting a new record or amending an existing one. The MERGE functionality is useful for data migration/upload scenarios, but I think using it in a business situation is, in the words of Kent Beck, a "code smell".
