APL2 From AII to R3

Hi all,
Does anybody know if Auto-Id sends handling unit information to R3??
I explain, I refer when you do packing in AII and the return message (APL2) is sent to R3 if you can pass in the message the handling unit which is going to be in the delivery (that is, assign the handlings unit in R3 from AII, not automatically in R3)
If Auto-Id does it, how you must configure it for this???
Thanks and best regards.

Hi Daniel,
I guess this should help you further. Good luck!
Regards,
Marc Korstanje

Both following two settings should be set in customizing
SAP Customizing > Auto-Id Infrastructure > Conditions and rules > Activities > Define Activities
Setting:
Activity name: DEVICE_SEND_FEEDBACK
Parameter name: PACK_MATERIAL_PALLET (description “pallet level”)
Activity parameter (allowed values): PACK_PAL
This PACK_PAL (or any other name) should correspond with the materialnr. In which you want to pack on the backend site !
You first set it here as an allowed value.
Secondly you choose this pack_pal in the following customizing transaction:
SAP Customizing > Auto-Id Infrastructure > Conditions and rules > Rules > Define rules
Setting:
Rule definition > Activity parameter.
Rule Definition = FPP
Activity name = (7) DEVICE_SEND_FEEDBACK
Parameter name = PACK_MATERIAL_PALLET
Parameter value = PACK_PAL (this is the material we created to pack in)

  • Bad performance in sending IDOCs from WAS to R3

    Hi all,
    We have the following scenario:
    WAS 7.0 – XI – R3
with protocol: SOAP – XI – IDOC
When IDOC comes from WAS to R3, it appers always at first time a 405 error (we see it in ‘sxmb_moni’ transaction of WAS). After 3 or 4 minutes it is reprocessed automatically and it arrives OK without doing anything.
(It doesn’t happen from R3 to WAS, we mean that it works OK in this direction)
Does anybody know why it happens? How can we perform it faster?
    Thank you in advance,
    Kind regards,
    Xavier

    Hi Vijaya,
First of all, we are sorry for the delay. We have had some problems with the J2EE Engine, and it was not possible to realise tests to try to solve the problem of this message.
We have read the note you indicated us (906435) which says that 3 reasons can cause our problem and propose a solution for each one.
    1) We have added and modified some parameters as it is indicated in the XI Tuning Guide, but the problem persists. So, could you possibly recommend us which parameters may help us?
We are working with SAP AII 4.0, XI and R3. There is a CPU for each system. The problem is always in the direction from AII to R3. There’s always only one user connected to SAP, who sends only one IDOC at the same time, and he doesn’t do any action in the system until the IDOC arrives to R3.
Do you think it could be a problem of memory? Do we need any specific conditions of this in our case?
    2) We have modified the parameter “icm/server_port_0” as it is indicated and nothing has changed.
    3) The third point is OK, we have ICM 7.00. So, we don’t need to check our kernel patch level.
What other information we can provide you to try to help us?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Xavier

  • AII - XI Scenarios

    Hi All,
Please provide some links for small scenarios to start working with AII. I want to transfer some data from AII to R3 through XI. It will be better if i find some "How to" docs.

  • Middleware - SAP AII

    Hi RFID Friends,
i found many informations about SAP AII and RFID Tech. in this , but nothing to a Middleware, witch is essentail for comm. between RFID hardware and SAP. help.sap.com is like a cloesed book in this case. I read about BizTalk or Websphere, XI... but all those are to much for an Small Business case. it's unclear for me:
    1. What SAP AII need to get DATA from an Reader. What is the simply and cheap way?
    2. Because AII is an standalone System, is XI neccecery to get this Information from AII into SAP ERP?
    Can you help me please.
    Thank you all
    Bülent

    Hi Bullent,
You were correct in not finding out any information on RFID Middleware on help.sap.com.
This is because SAP is not involved in that business at all. Instead SAP depends upon its partners to deliver RFID middleware solutions. For eg, Biztalk from Microsoft, IBM middleware and PIXIE from Infosys technologies Ltd are such examples. SAP AII exposes an interface which the middleware development team has to comply with. Then there is also a SAP Certification process for Device middlewares that support communication with SAP AII.
SAP similarly also depends upon its partners for RFID hardware also. For. Zebra, Motorola are some of the RFID hardware that are compliant with SAP AII for mobile devices.
    Answer to your questions:
    1) SAP AII can get whatever data is written on the tags. It depends on your business requirement what data is needed by you on the tags. There is no simple or cheap way. There are two ways.
    a) Fixed Readers: Require RFID middleware between hardware and SAP AII
    b) Mobile Readers: Can be directly supported by SAP AII witout device middleware. (So this can be cheaper )
    2) Yes SAP XI is necessary to send data to SAP ERP. Else it will require huge custom abap development to support this.
I hope i have answered your questions. Thnks

  • Pass additional parameters to AII

    Hi,
Is it possible to pass additional parameters for Serial Number Request through Name Value pair in a xml? If so then please cite an example.
The scenario requirement is 3rd party non SAP systems will be requesting Serial Numbers from AII via SAP XI. However additional parameters will also be sent in Name Value pair for certain validations by SAP XI.

    no, you can't do that.
you could create your own class to extend your
interactiveobjects and pass additional parameters in your custom
mouse handlers, but it's even easier, in your situation, to use
movieclips to dispatch your mouse events and define whatever
properties you need to use in functionName() as movieclip
    properties and retrieve them using
    MovieClip(e.currentTarget).whateverProperty.

A: The interface has no changes from AII 2.1 to AII 4.0.

    Hi Sara,
SAP Device Controller Interface is the interface that will be used by device controller softwares to send data to SAP AII and vice versa. Device controllers filter the RFID reads and send a unique read event to SAP AII. SAP AII on receiving this message processes it. It can be the case that as part of processing we also require to send data back to devices/controller or send a command such as tag commissioning. At this time also the same interface is used.

  • AII without HUs

    Hello,
i have configured an "outbound process" with SAP ECC, AII 4.0 in conection with XI.
The process run, but at the last end, the message from AII to ECC doesn't run.
I use the function adapter "idoc_input_delvry" and the message DELINF.DELVRY05. If i try to test the IDOC with the transaction WE19, i get the error code 51: "Destination HU failed"
I don't want use HU. Can somebody help me ?
    thank you !

    Hi Martin,
    e wo camcoder sa
In that scenario you need to do some modification in the AII .
You hae to basically check that the actiity DEVICE_SEND_FEEDBACK in the Rule defined for your process(ZPACK ) and ensure that the create new HU statement should be removed.

  • SGTIN number in SAP OER

    Hello Experts,
Our client is planning to implement SAP AII and OER for product traceability. I have some basic questions on the concept. I would like to know in what instance an SGTIN number will be generated in OER. Is that while doing any transaction?. Where that number is stored and its relation with Batch.
Imagine the hand held devices are connected to SAP AII. and I want to post a GR against process order. I will request SGTIN number to OER. OER will generate the number and send it to AII subsequently print a label triggered through AII (I dont know whether this is possible). The scan the label which will automatically post goods receipt from AII to ECC. Is that a right assumption? Will this SGTIN number be sent to ECC as serial or handling unit in GR message or it will reside only in OER?
    Thanks
    Prathib

    Hello Prathib,
    1. The GTIN numbers maintained in the ECC reach the AII/ OER systems along with the master data. Once they reach the repository (OER), you may use /AIN/NRADMIN transaction, Select the appropriate object type in the web window opened & create, edit or delete number ranges for that particular object type (in your case GTIN).
    2. Yes the GR is posted in the ECC by AII system once the appropriate rule (DLV_CONF_SEND_ERP_COMP I guess ) is executed (usually on loading).
3.The numbers are not particular to just the OER they will be sent to the ECC through the interface EventCaptureNotificationOut using SAP XI.

  • RFID-Alternatives to Handling Units in ERP?

    Hi,
During inbound and outbound delivery in SAP ERP, the Ids identifying the items can are stored in Handling Units in ERP. Our customer at hand uses an SAP Industry solution where Handling Units are not supported.
My question is, are there other data containers in SAP ERP to store the required IDs which would be supported throughout all processes?
I do understand that through ERP customizing several ID types are mapped through bit offsets. What I do not understand is where this data ultimately is stored if a document is created and how this data container could be changed
    Your support is highly appreciated!
    Cheers, Andi

    Hi Andreas,
The EPC (IDs) information created in AII is stored in AII only. It is not sent to ERP system with the delivery information. Refer to tables /AIN/DM_OBJECT  and AIN/DM_OBJ_CTX in AII where Ids are recorded. Document information is stored in table /AIN/DM_DOC.
Before flexible delivery scenario was intorduced by SAP, this information was stored in ERP in table AIDIDDATA. This has now been discontinued.
You can refer to flexible delivery scenario in service.sap.com/scm for more information on how delivery information is sent from ERP and the ASN is enriched with Ids from AII.
    Hope this information helps.
    PS: Reward points if helpful.

    Hi all,
During the BI and portal connectivity, we successfully executed the template installer, however, we have not yet imported the abap and related sp from SAP note.
After successful execution of template installer or CTC, we ran the supportdesk tool resolved errors and are left behind with two errors as below.

Looking at support desk tool and RSPOR_SETUP I notice the errors in RSPOR_SETUP appear green in support desktool such as User mapping (step 12) appears green in support desktool but red in RSPOR_SETUP.
    Please suggest.
    Best regards.

    Hi,
If Support desk tool is showing some of the components undefined, than there may be posisbility that your ABAP BI and BI JAVA patch may not in sync.
ABAP BI and BI JAVA works only with specific patch set combinations. I will suggest that please refer to below note and correct the patch level, if required. Once the patch level is corrected, please run the support desk tool again, you will see new picture in support desk tool.

  • EPC Searching/Auto-ID Cockpit-Like Functionality

I basically need to programatically do the same thing the Auto-ID cockpit does with regards to searching for EPC observation data using an EPC HEX value as the search criterion.  To make a long story short, the idea would be to call the Auto-ID infrastructure system programatically, passing the EPC HEX value and getting the associated data for that EPC in return.  Does anybody have any suggestions on the best way to go about this?  I know the functionality is there (somewhere) since the Auto-ID Cockpit is doing the same thing- i just can't find any documentation on it.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Michal,
We did the configuration for the Jco Connection as per installation guide. We got Green LED for both the Jco connections. But when we test the Jco connections using test button, we get an error msg
    " <b>com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) JCO_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: JCO.Client not connected in repository call</b> "
Also, the port for Content Administrator accrding to the installation guide is HTTP port.

Can you pls clarify this also.
    Expecting your reply.
P.S: We are able to launch the SLD using the "Start assigned SLD" button in Content Administrator. But, if we use SLDCHECK from  AII server, we get an error msg RFC connections not maintained properly. Is this a problem?
