Is it possible to produce apps for windows tablets with InDesign and Adobe DPS v30 at this moment?

You can start testing by downloading Adobe Content Viewer from the Windows Store.

  • Password for Nook Tablet

I have a Cisco/Linksys home router- got it for my laptop which is not working right now...anyway we purchased a Nook Tablet for our daughter which needs to connect to wifi- but when I go through set-up on the Nook, it says I need my 'wireless password'! So I type in my 'usual password' and it disconnects and says it's the "wrong password"....
    Update:
‎....So, today I called Cisco/Linksys support and the gal w/ the heavy accent tells me that to give me my current password OR to reset it so I may use it (my own router) I have to pay her $29.99 for a "one time tech support fee"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????
So, I say 'well my router's not broken and there's NO problem w/ it...it's just that Century Link installed it for us and they don't support it or even know what the password is!? For the laptop it just connected right away and I didn't have to type any password!!
So now I'm stuck between the terrible and UNFAIR policies of two greedy corporations!
Century Link can't help me and Cisco- which can wants to charge me 30 bucks just to TELL ME THE PASSWORD THAT CAME W/ MY ROUTER!

"I would like to understand what password you are using. What is your router model? What security are you implementing on your network? Login to your routers admin page and check under wireless->wireless security."
"password and connection issues are usually easy fix. answer Reuel's questions"
"Hey Reuel, where is my "router's admin page"? I'm running AVG Security. My laptop that does not 'work' ( I believe the charger quit charging, so the battery's dead) is why I had Centurylink install it. I don't recall ever having to 'login' via a password, just had to turn on the router and all was good.
I use the same password basically for everything w/ just minor variations but none of those worked according to the results on the new tablet?!"

  • BT FON app for Android Tablet - help

I have just got a Android tablet.
It runs a cut down version of Android 2.1 and doesn't have Android Market on it.
Anybody got any ideas how I can download the BT FON app without going to the Android Market?

    Yes, and No.
If you are on BTBBAnywhere, you are on option 3, which gives you unmetred access (nearly) to Fon.
The key to Fon is not a BT SIM card, but a BTBB a/c.  I only know option 3 (which I am on) and that gives you open access.
So if you are with another operator with a windows/android/i phone + a BT Broadband #3 a/c, you sign in on the BTBB landing page with you BT username and password (sub-accounts dont work).
I dont know that #1 and 2 on BTBB have.
    AQ.

  • Can the DPS software create windows 8 apps for Dell tablets?

I have been challenged with creating windows 8 apps and collateral to run on Dell devices. Does anyone know if this is possible using the Adobe DPS software?

Yes, but you’ll need a pro or enterprise account and the devices will have to be Windows 8.1.
If you go to the Windows store on the device you’ll be able to download the Adobe Content Viewer.
Not every feature works yet so keep an eye on things. Check out Adobe Inspire magazine on Windows 8.1 for an idea of what’s possible.

  • K1 - App for bluetooth handsfree calls on tablet?

Does anyone know of an app for a tablet to connect to a cellphone for hands-free calling?
So, for example, if I get a call when my iPhone is in bluetooth range of my K1, I can answer it on the K1.
EDIT: So I found that the scary geniuses at xda-Developers figured out this insane method:
    Insane method
But it seems to me that all we really need is the right Bluetooth profile to fool the phone into thinking the K1 is a Bluetooth headset or automobile handsfree device. Am I missing something?

My wife just bought a 2014 Sienna and we (successfully) paired it with her iPhone 5 running IOS 7.1. We have the standard audio system, not the Entune one with the navigation screens. But then I got ambitious and thought that since Toyota has an "audio device" I could pair it up as an audio device and then she could use the iPhone as a handsfree phone AND to stream music from the iPhone via Pandora. That was a big mistake.
Once I paired it as an audio device and fired up Pandora, while the music streaming worked fine, the phone functionality went away. I know by doing research in this we are by no means alone. This appears to span multiple vehicles from multiple manufacturers, so suspicion heavily points toward IOS 7.1 breaking something in the BT links with multiple vehicles.
Yeah, I know how to unpair and re-pair as a phone. That'll no doubt work...for a phone. She can plug her iPhone into the car audio via cable, which is what we used to do 10 years ago. Not at all acceptable for 2014 however, when everything is BT enabled. Come on Apple, fix this in IOS 8.

  • Please help: Nook Tablet app development with AIR/Flash CS5.5?

    Hello,
I developed my first-ever iOS app using Flash CS5.5 (the app has stability issues, addressed in a separate thread).  Next on the list is Android deployment.
Can anyone indicate if Flash CS5.5 can be used to develop Android apps for the Nook Tablet?  My problem is that the Android-based guidance I've read tells you to take your Android device and configure it for "USB Debugging."  The Nook Tablet has no such setting, unlike many other Android phones and tablets.  Basically, I need current step-by-step guidance on Android development, plus any guidance on anything different that needs to be done for the Nook Tablet.  Thank you for any advice.

Hi, I can confirm that you can develop apps for the NOOK color and tablet. You must use Air 2.6 since the device is pre loaded with that version of air.
Some devices dont support USB debugging, like my kindle fire however a more painful way of doing it is to publish out an apk and then manually load it on to your device either through a file manager of some sort or by emailing yourself the file and then installing it. Be sure to enable your device to accept unknown source files.
I recently published a couple of apps to the NOOK store that I had only tested on an HTC phone and the kindle fire and they both passed the test so I believe the NOOK seems to behave very similar to most android devices and the kindle fire, same dimensions at least as the KF.

An app for Windows 8 or Windows Phone 8 does not exist.  I have asked Verizon about this a number of times and have been ignored.  The only positive of this is that the Android and IOS apps are all buggy, so it's highly likely that we're only missing out on another buggy app for the Windows platforms.

  • How can i edit psd files in PS touch or which software/app i need for androiud tablet (newest tablet)

how can i edit psd files in PS touch or which software/app i need for androiud tablet (newest tablet) @samsung

You can import PSD files into Photoshop Touch but the PSD file will be flattened. (The original, of course, will remain untouched; PS Touch just copies it upon import.) I imagine this was done as a failsafe measure since PS Touch has no support for masks or adjustment layers (not to mention that PS Touch only has support for about 12 layers).

  • Making my indesign ebook into apps for tablets

I've been looking into Indesign to make a very interactive ebook.
Last last question before I dive in head 1st.
What do I need to make an indesign ebook into apps for both Android tablets and IPads?
    Thanks for your time

Tomek, thank you very much for your answer. Sadly that's not what I wanted
to hear. But I needed to know the truth.
I real need to check into how interactive Indesign's apps can be.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Nook app for iPad won't sync purchased book...help?!

I recently created a Barnes and Noble account so that I could access the nook app for my iPad.  I purchased a book, I can see it on my Barnes and Noble Library.  When I go to "download" it, I get a message: "Oops! This item cannot be downloaded from your browser."  I went to the app to "sync" my library like other support sites said but it still won't sync.  I am very frustrated with this.  Has anyone else encountered these issues?
My account information is up to date, my software information is up to date, and I have compatable devices. Help!

You need to upgrade your iPad to iOS 4.2. Connect your iPad, click on its icon in the sidebar in iTunes (under "Devices"), go to the Summary tab, and click the "Check for Update" button. That should get you the iOS update, assuming your Mac is running the correct version of iTunes. You don't say what OS your Mac is running, but to get iOS 4.2, you will need iTunes 10, and that requires Mac OS X 10.5 or 10.6.
    Regards.

  • Nook exchange --- Color for Color Tablet

I just purchase a nook color and opened the box to realize it was not the Nook Color Tablet that I had wanted. Will there be a fee to exchange the one I purchased for the Tablet version of the nook? (other than the difference in price)
Also I had purchased a 1 year warrenty plan for the version I bought. Will it be possible to place that plan on the new Tablet version of the nook? Or be refunded?
    Please help!
    Thanks

    jlowell1988,
I'm sorry you ended up with the wrong Nook.  We are glad to take it back and swap it out with the Nook Color anytime in the first 14 days after purchase.  You would of course be asked to pay the difference.  As for the Protection plan, we can give you a full refund on that as well in the first 30 days and then rering another plan for the new Nook if you'd like.
    Cheers,

Yep, two of the most popular apps are "LogMeIn Ignition" and "iTeleport." Check them out, they'll both set you back by about 30$ though.
