is there any application for lumia 620 where we can lock our sms...and no one can see without entering the password.....

personally, I am not aware of any software for wp8 on this yet....only encryption sms.
you could put a password on your device that enables password immediately upon locking.
then they couldn't get into any of your information at all without a pin.

If you download a 3rd party app for sms messaging, is there a way to turn off sms logging thru the blackberry settings. I have downloaded an app called Crunch SMS and it's a great app, but i get notified in 2 different locations now on sms msgs. Once, in the Crunch SMS location and once in the typical blackberry sms location.

No, I don't think any of the 3rd party sms apps can prevent the sms message from showing in both places.

How to get back app for sms

During the check and uncheck things in settings, my sms app or whatever it it in the main menu disappear.
Can anyone help me to get one back. Sure I can send sms trough "Hangout" but I wuld like to have sms back.
even if I download and instal the extention from gogleplay, it stil is missing.

How did you manage to delete a system app? or have you just disabled it? Settings, Apps and swipe to all then locate Messaging and see if you can Enable it

A better app for sms's

Good day.
For a year or so now I have been using whats APP on my Nokia 5230. The problem, as many might know, is that it takes an extremely large amount of battery power within a very short time. Thus leading me to charge my phone at least once a day and sometimes more. When I use skype on my phone or any other messaging application then it does not take a lot of battery power.
The other thing of course is thatnot everyone (unfortunately) owns a Nokia. My girlfriend has an Android based phone thus whatsAPP is perfect for us messaging each other, since she's in another country.
Are there any sms applicatoins that exist for android and symbian which takes up less battery power or is the Nokia developing board maybe in conversation with whatsAPP to decrease the amount of battery power it takes?
I don't know if there is another thread like this since the forum database is quite big and I can't look through the entire thing.
Please help me with this request. I think it would be great to have a well working sms application that won't kill your battery so fast.

You'll be pleased to know that an app called Viber is being developed for Symbian phones (it already exists for iOS and Android) and allows free SMS, MMS and voice calls. I've got it running on my Android phone and it doesn't deain the battery at all.
I don't know when it will be released so keep checking Nokia store or the Viber web site.

Force quit the app. Hold down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then Let go of the sleep button. Then hold down on the home button until iBooks quits. Restart the iPad.

This feature isn't available as yet on BB10. Perhaps the future releases will have this feature.
May be there are some apps to do this function, you can always check them out.

I'm looking for an app that will lock the SMS app down with a password? I know you can lock the whole phone down but a friend is looking to secure the SMS app as a friend of his had his phone abused by another.

I don't think Apple will allow 3rd party developers to create a new SMS app to replace their native SMS client because it duplicates functionality of their SMS app.

My carrier has an app that I can check current usage and past usage with a previous bill and pay the bill.

If you're concerned, you could always create wallpaper with some sort of ID/contact information and place it on the lock screen. I wouldn't suggest using any direct contact for you, of course, for privacy reasons, but perhaps some sort of "neutral" emergency contact such as a relative's cell phone.
Or just carry some sort of ID; depending on a cell phone for identification probably isn't reliable regardless of the phone used. A MedicAlert bracelet or something similar might be your best option since that would allow emergency responders to get your information while still protecting your privacy.
