App windows not refresh

open 'Console' or other App like TextEdit, when i use middle mouse button to scroll the content,after a while,the content will not be updated. if i click it ,it'll be refreshed.

I manage a ton of accounts for different customers suing the same login pages (GoDaddy, WordPress, etc.) I use the Master Password Feature to help keep track of the many variants in logins and passwords.
After some unknown period of time, even closing the page tab so a new page session is started at the remote server, Firefox does not provide me with the usual drop-down selection list of the previously used login names. However, if I open a new FF window (file/new window) from the menu bar, the drop down becomes available.
How can I refresh the original window session in FF or change the timeout length?

Well, you said LOV...that might mean you are using JDev 11g. Are you? If so what technology stack are you using?
Assuming you are using JSF (?) you might be "backing" your list component in the application scope...but that is not likely.
If you are using ADF/BC on your business component level, you can clear your view object from which you are querying the possible values of this list...unless your you have made a method to compile this list...in which case you know what you are doing...so that is probably not the case.
Essentially you want to requery the VO upon which your LOV is based...unless you are using JPA or something...and then I know "requery" is not the right word...is it?

Window not refreshing after lock/unlock screen.

I've noticed an issue where if I lock the screen (windows key + L) before the visible property of some component is changed, then unlock the screen, the component visibility is not updated until I mouse over the JavaFX application window.
I'm including some sample code to demonstrate the problem. To use:
1. Run.
2. Click the button.
3. Lock the screen.
4. Wait 15 seconds.
5. Unlock the screen, but do not touch the mouse.
6. Verify that the progress indicator animation is still visible, but is not animated.
7. Mouse over the application window.
8. Verify that the progress indicator disappears.
In addition, if steps 3-7 are not executed, the behavior is as I would expect... The progress indicator disappears 15 seconds after the button is clicked.
Does anyone have any ideas on a workaround that would force a UI update when the screen is unlocked?

Mac G5 10.4 connecting to Windows Server 2003 finder windows NOT refreshing

We are not seeing finder contents refresh when connecting to Windows 2003 servers. We are running 10.4.5. This was supposedly "fixed" in 10.4 but we haven't seen it work yet. Who do we contact for support on this? I've tried using "Contextual Menu" which didn't work, and also tried "Finder Sync" which also didn't work. The only thing that did work was Path Finder. Path Finder did provide an auto-refresh but I don't like Path Finder and we won't buy it.
Who do we contact at Apple about this? Or does anyone have any experience like this?

Someone told me to write an Applescript like this:

update every item with necessity

Copy it, open Script Editor and save it as an executable application in your Utilities folder. Now put shortcuts to it in your Dock or your Sidebar or whereever. When you run it, the front most windows in the Finder will be refreshed to its most current state from disk.
I tried it but it doesn't help so much. I have no problem at all when I work with Windows Server 2000.

Multiple Displays: New app windows not opening on current display

Does anyone have a suggestion or information for me on this one? Here's the story:
I have a brandy-new 15" MBP Retina. All kinds of snazziness! I also picked up a MDP Apple Cinema Display at the same time. Why MDP instead of Thunderbolt you ask? Because I have an older MDP-only MBP I use from time to time, plus Apple had just taken their remaining inventory of NEW MDP displays and marked them as refurbs, saving me $200.
I'm running 10.9 Mavericks and have the displays set to operate as separate spaces/desktops. I sit directly in front of the cinema display and use that primarily while keeping a few other apps open on the MacBook display to my right. Typically, the MacBook has Spotify running fullscreen on it. And this is where I have trouble. There are some apps that insist on opening new windows on the "primary" display, and not the current "working" display. For example, use the Finder to locate a PDF file and double click only to have the MacBook display slide Spotify to the side and show the PDF. So, I move the window to the cinema display (which is where the Finder window is, or email message...) then switch the MacBook back to the fullscreen app. TextWrangler has the same behavior. When I click on the TextWrangler icon in the dock or launch it from Spotlight it slides the fullscreen app on the MacBook display out of the way. This is the case even when I've done all of the most recent work on the cinema display. This also happens even if the app in question already has windows open on the cinema display, i.e. within TextWrangler with an open file press Command-N and the new window appears on the MacBook.
Is this app specific? Is there something the app developer has done? I've checked the icons in the dock to make sure they're not "assigned" to anything. Anybody able to shed some light on this for me? Is this a bug or am I missing the justification for this behavior?

Another strange example... Mail. Mail on Cinema Display, click reply, new message window appears on Cinema Display, but MacBook Display switches to a non-fullscreen desktop. Pourquoi?

Command tab - app windows not at the forefront

I used to be able to speed through my apps, but now for some reason when I switch to another application, I have to click on the window in order to make it active (i.e. if I copy something from safari and command+tab to word to paste it, I can't just immediately follow it with the paste key combo). I don't know when this started up, but I think it may have been with the latest mountain lion update. Anyone else having this issue? Is there some setting I don't have setup right?

The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great steps to review for issues with the Podcasts app for iOS:

Default settings: From your Home screen, tap Settings and then Podcasts. These settings are shared by all of your podcast subscriptions. These are known as default podcast settings.
Refresh Every: You can choose how often your iOS device checks for new episodes to your subscriptions. It's set to check every six hours by default.
Limit Episodes: You can pick how many episodes you see for subscriptions.
Download Episodes: The latest episodes of your podcasts will download automatically if your iOS device is connected to Wi-Fi.
Delete Played Episodes: If this is turned on, episodes will delete 24 hours after you finish playing them.
Use Cellular Data: If your iOS device has a cellular connection, you can allow downloads to use cellular data when Wi-Fi isn't available. This is off by default. Downloads using cellular data are limited to 100MB per episode. If an episode is larger than that, it won't start downloading until you're connected to Wi-Fi.
Podcast-specific settings: The second place you'll find subscription settings is within the Podcasts app. Tap a podcast subscription under My Podcasts and pull down with one finger to reveal the settings buttons. These settings are unique to each subscription. If you don't change anything here, the podcast subscription will just use the default settings. If you do make changes to a specific subscription’s settings, they'll only apply to that podcast.
Play: This setting lets you change the order in which a subscription plays. If you're listening to a news style podcast, you may want to set this to play the new episodes first. If the series is more episodic, you may prefer to play oldest to newest.
Sort Order: This changes the sort order of episodes that appear for a podcast (not its playback order).
Subscribed: When this is on, new episodes of this podcast will be marked as unplayed as they become available.

After updating to 10.10.2, my OpenGL applications do not work, and there are problems with window updates/refresh in App Store, and many applications, Google Chrome is unusable.

After performing the OS X 10.10.2 update, OpenGL applications, for example Starry Night Pro fail to run, there are numerous windows update/refresh problems (incomplete refresh, remnants of window/frame borders), and some applications, for example Google Chrome are unusable, as cursor motion in the application window causes the display to flash horizontal bars in the window.
I've tried a variety of things, including downloading the most current release of Xcode, turning on/off transparency in Accessibility, graphics switching, and a few other things, but the problem persists.
The App Store display behaves similarly. I am running a MacBook Pro.

Lost programs, apps after windows 8 "refresh"

I installed windows 8 and computer wasn't acting right, slow, etc. diagnostics told me to "refresh" computer my using original install disk. when it finished and restarted, most, if not all programs, apps were gone. I couldn't find the tool "restore"
to go back and get an earlier restore point to recover lost programs. I've tried several things and no luck. Had to reinstall Norton and carbonite.

refresh only installs the new Windows Store Apps again. All desktop applications are removed:

Refresh functionality is fundamentally still a reinstall of Windows, just like resetting your PC as described above, but your data, settings, and Metro style apps are preserved. We have a solution to help you with your desktop apps, too,
which I’ll talk about a little later.
The coolest part about Refresh is there’s no need to first back up your data to an external hard drive and restore them afterwards.
Refreshing your PC goes like this:
The PC boots into Windows RE.
Windows RE scans the hard drive for your data, settings, and apps, and puts them aside (on the same drive).
Windows RE installs a fresh copy of Windows.
Windows RE restores the data, settings, and apps it has set aside into the newly installed copy of Windows.
The PC restarts into the newly installed copy of Windows.
Restoring your apps
We preserve only Metro style apps when customers refresh their PCs, and require desktop apps that do not come with the PC to be reinstalled manually. We do this for two reasons. First, in many cases there is a single desktop app that
is causing the problems that lead to a need to perform this sort of maintenance, but identifying this root cause is not usually possible. And second, we do not want to inadvertently reinstall “bad” apps that were installed unintentionally or that hitched a
ride on something good but left no trace of how they were installed.
It is also important to understand that we cannot deterministically replace desktop apps, as there are many installer technologies as well as custom setup and configuration logic, of which Windows has little direct knowledge. That is why we discourage
the use of third-party uninstallers or scrubbers. One simple thing to consider is that many setup and installation programs conditionally implement functionality based on the state of the machine at the time of the install (for example default browser, default
photo handler, etc.)

App could not be installed from Windows Store, Error code:0x80240031

i have tried many times but same error exits only with this app (Perfect 365), rest all apps are being installed easily and are working.
how can i install this app(Perfect 365) and what does this error code mean.

I to am getting this error trying to update from Win 8 x64 Pro Upgrade edition to Win 8.1. Only using Windows defender and Windows Firewall. A couple things to note:
1. My connection to the Internet on this machine is through my phone only, currently have no other means of reaching the Internet, so could this possibly be ISP related? Does the "Windows Store" use some other port rather than 80 or 8080? What ports
does it use? No documentation on this...
2. I ran a system refresh, same exact results. Using "sfc /scannow" finds no errors. I'm close to backing up and FFR-ing at this point.
3. Updates through good old "Windows Update" from control panel install just fine. System (including drivers) are all up-to-date.
4. Other app updates (for "Sports" "Music" and "Video" apps) will not install from the store either. These fail with 0x80072f8 though.
5. Tried "wsreset" and got the same results. I'm admin on the machine and account is tied to my MS Live account.
I'm at a loss here. Ideas?

Can not refresh contents of finder windows

I can not get my finder windows to refresh their contents. My picture folder is the one that really bothers me. When I am trying to upload pictures to the internet, the picture folder is never accurate. I have tried the refresh finder apple script, restarting the computer, opening and closing the window, nothing seems to work.
The content is there, when I search for a specific picture file it is there, but it is not located in the right subfolder. I download and manage my pictures on kodak easyshare.

Hmmm, are you saying something is moving them? Or the Finder isn't opening them to the right folder?

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), & use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, reboot once more.
Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions...
Move this file to the desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
reboot when it completes.

Windows 8.1 Mail app does not sync with the Office 365 account

My company has recently switched to Office 365. Windows 8.1 Metro Mail app does not work with Office365 account. When I switch to IMAP it works but that is soon going to be disabled and is not compliant with the company policy.
I can add the account and it also pushes the security policies but it does not sync email at all. Says account is not available. The tablet shows up on the mobile devices on the office 365 and I could also remote wipe it.
It seems everything works except basing email sync. What could be the issue?

Creative Cloud app will not launch. I had to use the cleaner tool to remove the prior copy (appeared to have two copies on computer. Re-installed, same problem. A circle for a few seconds and then nothing. Running Windows 7, 64 bit
