If you have in mind backup, I would not count on iCloud backup, just go to ~/Library/Application Support/Address Book. In Lion, ~/Library is available by pressing Option key when selecting Go while in the finder. Backup that folder.
Deleting that app will create further troubles. When a basic Apple app bahaves like that, you should better identify why it behaves like that, it may mean a more serious system issue. Is this the only app, which presents this problem? If yes, rather delete its associated plist file in ~/Preferences (the same location, press Option when selecting Go).
Do regular backups of your data, choose a backup app you consider appropriate and proceed. When you are familiar with its reactions, you may then ‘play’ with deleting the partition and install/reinstall.

Thanks!I found the solution. The answer is just unmark "sync contacts with icloud" on system pref, select "delete contacts from your mac". And then turn on "sync contacts with icloud". Thas All.

I could not download books from Overdrive Media Console from my iMac desktop. I realized if I turned off iTunes Match in my iphone, it fixed the problem. On your iphone...Go to "Setting", scroll down to "Music" and turn off iTunes Match. i Tunes match is a music subscription service that I had purchased a few weeks ago. I could not figure out when I tried to download audiobooks from Overdrive I got the following message "iTunes is not responding, bring iTunes to the front and check status". Problem solved. I hope this helps others who are experiencing the same problem!
I'm assuming you are talking about audiobooks and if so, just download all the parts in overdrive media console then locate them in your finder. Go into Itunes and go File > Add new files to Library. Go select all the mp3s and upload them onto your library. Sync your iPhone with it and that is what has worked for me Hope this helps!

hi, my firefox and safari are both having difficulty loading certain parts of web pages. previous to this my firefox would freeze and state that a script was not responding. i would stop the script and reload the page and everything would be fine. now though the pages just load very very slowly or load leaving out certain pictures and video content. i've tried clearing my cache's and cookies, resetting my browser etc, but it seems like its a system issue as both safari and firefox are having issues. i've run Avast to screen for malware and it came up empty. any suggestions?

After installing, boot holding down CMD+s, then when the prompt shows, type in...

Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
Fixes a lot of problems, and besides, if your Mac ever gets to the point it won't Boot... this is a life saver!

restore your phone as new through itunes. if the issue persists after a factory restore via itunes, it means you've got a hardware issue and the phone needs to be repaired

I've met the problem too before. but i solved it with Audio Converter Mac instead of iMovie. If you have similar situation that just want to keep audio but not video, and if your file format is not workable in iMovie, you can use the Audio Converter for help too. it can easily help to extract audio soundtrack from any video format. Or if you need to convert one audio format to another, it is a good choice too, because it supports many common audio output formats.

I have a list of both CC and CC2014 in all my programs on my Creative Cloud 'dashboard'.

I think you have to turn off Private Browsing.
Tap "Private" on Safari Screen to disable Private Browsing. When top of screen is white, Private Browsing is off.
