Apple Mail and Exchange Out of Office Not Working

Has anyone had issues with Yosemite Mail and setting Out of Office for Exchange 2010?
I can set Mail to send Out of Office replies but cannot change the scheduled dates from 2/12/1982, 10:00 AM. Even when I do set it, it does not seem to send the OOO notifications. I can set it just fine on my iPhone 6 and Mavericks Mail worked fine for setting the OOO.
I deleted my account several times and reset it and I can get all my Mail back just fine but OOO still doesn't work correctly. I wanted to try to change the server settings but Mail doesn't allow you to do that for auto connect Exchange accounts.
Because of this (and my concern with reported issues with updating meetings), I switched back to Outlook 2011 until these bugs get ironed out. This is too bad because I love the notifications feature for Apple's programs.
I'm running on a 2014 13" MacBook Pro.

Apple Mail and Exchange Server

I have Apple mail with many accounts included two Exchange accounts. As soon as my MacBook Pro with ML goes into screensaver the exchange servers disconnects and the list of emails dissapear in the inbox. I need to restart Apple mail and then they are back. I need to to restart Apple mail several times daily. Any ideas or workaround?

If they are Apple-brand headphones, then the Apple Store will handle the warrranty and, absent any evidence of abuse, should replace the headphones. If the headphones were made by some other company, then unless you purchased the headphones in the last fourteen days, you will have to contact the manufacturer of the headphones for warranty support.

Free/Busy availability and Out of Office not working after Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010

We just migrated from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 as an intermediate step before we get to Exchange 2013. I want to make sure everything is working OK before we start the migration to Exchange 2013.
The users have Outlook 2010, and there are 2 issues. They can't view free/busy times for other people using the scheduling assistant, and they can't set their Out of Office messages. If they go in through Outlook Web Access, then these features
work!
I've searched the forums, and I see a few similar issues, but I don't think this is related to the .Net issue on the CAS server.
Any suggestions?

Hi Kent,
Try checking the free busy info Outlook 2010 with running /cleanfreebusy switch
Check the Free/Busy System Public Folder and pointed out to the correct server on each mailbox DB in Exchange 2010
Find the public folder replica database
get-publicfolder -Identity "\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY" -Recurse | fl name,Replicas
In E2k10 check if the exchange 2003 is added in the replica list. If not try adding them and check.
force Public folder content replication.

Help: Apple Mail and Exchange - Internal/External servers issues

Hi, I'm new here... coming from the dummy pc world...
I am using Apple Mail in 10.7 connected to a MS Exchange 2007. I first configured the exchange account while out of the office (the firm is overseas), and had the server with the IP address and SSL at 443 port. Everything worked fine.
Then I went to the office for meetings and had to recofigured the whole enchilada (the IP address would not work as internal server while in the network). I input the internal server (a weird address "alm-srv06") and moved the IP address to the external server. It also worked fine.
But, when I came back (out of the office), the account is not working anymore. Obviously, the internal server doesn't work and the external server is not kicking in. I have even manually switched the servers, bringing the IP address to the internal server and keeping the wierd internal server address as the external server (so I can remember the config later on when I go back to the office overseas), but it is still not working...
Any thoughts?

Out of Office not working

I got stuck around a issue where in out of office is not working .. although I am able to set back out of office from outlook and OWA but do not receive any response for either internal or external . There are no rules in-place , also tried deleting IPM.Note.Rules.OofTemplate.Microsof
from Mfcmapi but no luck so far . Please suggest.

1.Please disable the out of office and re enable it again and at the same time please check the oof is enabled on the owa.

2.Check the event logs on the mailbox server for the event ID "3004"
3.On problematic user mailbox ,just take a backup of all the rules from outlook client and then delete those rules and then disable the OOF and re enabled it again.If we have the crossed the rules quota thenOOF message will not generated from that mailbox as
well as we will be getting the event ID 3004 on the mailbox servers.
If In case on the above step if you don't wanted to delete the existing rules then we can increase the rules quota size and check the oof message is generated or not.

Set-Mailbox –Identity "nithya" –RulesQuota 256KB
4.To check it is for an single user or else for the whole organisation you can make use of creating the test mailboxes and check the results.
If the problem is on the organisation wide : -
1.Make sure exchange mailbox assistant service is running on the exchange servers.
2.Then make sure the EWS url's are properly configured on the exchange servers as well as check the autodiscover funtionality too.
3.Then for the remote domains to receive oof message we need to allow external oof messages on the remote domain configuration .

Downloaded a new software apple recommended and now my Ipad is not working

My itunes software asked me to download the latest software for my ipad which I did and after it was completed it said something went wrong couldnt update and the next thing I know my ipad icon is not showing on the itunes and its not working as well just showing connect to itunes with the itunes logo and the charging cord I have connected it but its still not working i have even deleted my itunes and downloaded the latest version still no change I need help asap!!!!!!!!

I am in the UK and eventually found the problem was due to my BT Home Hub Router. Not sure where you live, but of you are in the UK, this might work for you.

There's an issue related to the BT homehub that is providing a hostname that is "syntactically incorrect" for several smtp server.
Here's how you can fix it.
Using your internet browser, go to the address "192.168.1.254
- Follow instructions to reset your password if asked.
- Then go to "Settings", then "Advanced Settings" and "home network"
You will see there all the devices that are connected or that has been connected before. It's gonna be easyer if yout computer is the only one connected.
Your computer should have a name like "unknown-xx:xx:xx:xx:xx ...
Click on this name, chose another name without any special characters, like "macbook" for exemple.
And then click on "apply"
- restart your computer.
That should fix the issue.

IPod Touch stuck in a cycle between Apple logo and loading sign, recovery mode not working.

I have a 4th generation iPod touch (I think it's 4th gen) and it is stuck in a vicious cycle. It started by just randomly crashing while I was using it (many of the apps were not functioning properly beforehand). It went to the Apple logo for a little while, and then went to a loading sign for a few minutes. Suddenly, the screen flashed white, and appeared to be turned off. Then it turned back on to the black logo, and the cycle began again. i have attempted many times to put it in Recovery mode, but when I hold the Home and Sleep/wake buttons, it "turns off" but only for a few precious seconds before beginning the cycle again.
Another thing, I never downloaded iOS 6 because I didn't want to lose the old YouTube app. That may be a hindrance.
At first I wondered if it could be a virus, but now I don't think so.
I am very sentimental about this iPod, and I have a lot of pictures and high scores on it that I would prefer not to lose, if possible, however, I'd rather lose that than the whole iPod. I will gladly go to the Genius Bar, but I wanted to see if anyone on here could help me out first.
Any ideas on how to get it working normally again?

Apple Mail and return receipts

Hi,
Since Apple Mail and Calendar in Mountain Lion appear work seamlessly with Exchange, I've dropped Outlook in favor of the native Apple apps. But the one problem I have is return-receipts. Our voice-mail system at work emails me voicemail messages and uses the return-receipt to indicate I've seen the message. That works perfectly on my iPhone and it worked in Outlook. I can't find any preference in Apple Mail to turn the return-receipt functionality on. I've also googled and I get lots of hits on how to get Apple Mail to request receipts but nothing on how to get Apple Mail to respond. Does anyone know how I can enable that functionality?

I suggest following the steps found in the manual: Using Personal Antispam with Apple Mail and Microsoft Entourage or Outlook
When you first configured Personal Antispam, the program's Setup Assistant helped you configure your e-mail program (in your case: Apple Mail). You can run the setup assistant again by clicking General in the filter list and then clicking the Reconfigure... button.

Why are Apple Mail and Addressbook not listed?

In Support, neither Apple Mail nor Addressbook are listed on OS apps. And if you go to Feedback > Product Feedback, there are 31 apps listed, but Apple Mail and Addressbook are not listed there either. Mac OS X is, so you need to use that for these apps.
But I think the lack of listing is not so bad, but is indicative that Apple doesn't seem to embrace these apps the way it does it's other OSX built in apps. They are basically good apps. I use them as my default apps along with iCal in order to always be in sync with the latest OSX release/update. I used to use 3rd party PIM apps but then had to always wait until they released their update to be in sync with the latest Apple OS. After awhile I realized the smarter approach was to use Apple's software as much as possible since they will be designed to work with the latest OS upon the release of the latest OS.
But the built in apps: iCal, Addressbook and Apple Mail, while sufficient, are not full featured robust apps like their 3rd party competitors. I have to assume some this is financial since they are included in the OS where as 3rd party apps cost $40 and up, plus upgrade costs after a certain cycle lifespan.
Personally, I never want to use a calendar, contact manager or email 3rd party clent again so that I am fully in the Apple family with hardware and software all made to work together.
If the reason these type apps are not more robust is because Steven didn't feel we needed more, or because there are only so much design and programmng resources Apple can apply to essentially "free" apps, I would welcome a paid for "Pro" version of these apps to pay for more features.

There are other feature requests I would make, and bet you would too.

My Mail syncs, I don't know why yours doesn't. All the folders on the left of my Mail App are identical on all of my Macs and my iPhone.
In Support, neither Apple Mail nor Addressbook are listed on OS apps.
Granted, Contacts (No longer AddressBook) is not listed.
