Apple symbol flashing

updated iphone 4 to os6. it went to reset and now doesnt work. Just the apple symbol on restart will go on and off. any help?

Standard troubleshooting...
1. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
4. Restore with your backup.
5. Restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it. (Try DFU Mode)
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

Leopard 10.5.2 ?File, Prohited & Apple Symbol flash on Gray Screen at Start

Hi, I have just gone to start up my macbook & it just flashes a ?file, Prohibited & Apple Symbol continuosly on the gray screen. I have the original discs and I use Time Machine to back up. What should I do. How do I reinstall do I just insert the discs that came with my machine.
I also run Parallels and CS3. I have all the original discs.

Boot with the Leopard install disk, select your language, select Utilities from the menu bar, and there should be something there that will allow restoring your TM backup. I don't use it, but a look at the help files should point you in the right direction.

I do not believe that your parents will go "spastic" because your iPod was stolen. I'm thinking that you jailbroke it yourself. Am I correct?

My 2 years old iPhone 4 fell down in water.I have taken my phone to a local techi to dry water inside.They said they cleaned it well and there is no water inside but my phone is not reacting, they said it's dead
I got my phone back, soon after that I realized that My iPhone is flashing Apple Symbol followed by low battery sign.I tried some stuff by browsing in the internet and finally got a screen with iTunes and charger plug Symbols.Now iTunes is able to detect my devide sometimes and I am trying to restore iPhone by downloading sofware from apple restore server and I could't complete the operation becasue of many errors I am facing (Ex:An error throwed very first time redirected to this link http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4451, other error is iPhone software can't be downloaded becasue there is a problem with your network but I am having working internet in this case).
What I wanted to know is is phone really dead..?? If that is the case, how I am able to see all the screens and how iTunes has detected my iPhone to restore..?
Taking my iPhone to an authorized apple service center does really works in this case..????

Water and electronics do not mix. You have probably fried the circuit boards. Get a new phone.

You can try a system reinstall:
Reinstalling Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Flashing Apple symbol in upper keft hand corner?

My black Apple symbol in the upper left hand corner of the display flashes every 3 seconds. The lower portion of the symbol turns grey then turns black.
Anyone else noticed this?

That was it! The strange thing is I have always had pictures changing in the background with the translucent bar and it has only been recently that it has flashed.
At least it is normal. I have run into more trouble this year with my software than I have in 20+ years using Apple. I guess I am looking for trouble now lol. I should also mention that it might sound bad but, History =1 This Year = 2. My Wife's work pc will have more trouble this month than I have had in 22 years.

Last previous action: Used Firewire cable and "Target Mode" to copy files from G4 eMac to the PowerBook.
I worked from the eMac to the PowerBook, making the PowerBook the "Target". Files seemed to transfer OK. Won't boot from InstallDisc. Holding down T on startup results in Target mode screen. I have a G4 iMac and a G4 eMac. Can I use either of these with Firewire cable to boot-up my PowerBook ?

It sounds to me like the PowerBook is stuck in target disk mode.
It's expecting the iMac/eMac to be there when booting. Seeming it's not attached, it will show a flashing folder.
If your PowerBook internal drive is bootable, then simply hold down the option key when booting and select it's internal hard drive. That should boot your PowerBook into Mac OS X.

I have no idea what to do. The iPod touch will not work w/ iTunes and has the apple symbol. It keeps flashing white.

The ipod was restored to factory settings and now it wont do anything except show the apple symbol and flash white. Then iTunes says it can't connect because of an unknown error.

Use the search function up to the right. There are a zillion basic setup guides with a simple Google search.
