Apple tv volume

I have both the apple tv2 and motorola PVR plugged into my amplifirer both thru HDMI; however the Apple TV Volume is far higher than the cable feed; I understand that there is not way of increasing the PVR sound level to match??? How can I get them to match?

Apple keyboard volume keys no longer working on bootcamp windows

Well, after digging around in the settings, searching and searching for a solution, all of a sudden, it's working again and I have absolutely no idea why as I didn't change anything. So, if anyone still konws why this would disappear (weeks and weks ago) and now reappear, I'd still like to hear the solution in case it happens again.

Apple Keyboard volume & eject keys don't work

Not sure when it started (within the past week), but my eMac's eject and volume keys aren't working. I tried the following from other threads:
Delete BezelServices plists---all of them
Restart
Log in as different user
Unplug and replug keyboard
Shut down, unplug eMac for a few minutes, boot
Repair Permissions
I don't have USB Overdrive installed, and I checked just in case.
I have a 3rd party SuperDrive installed, but it's been there for several months.
Only thing I might have installed lately is iLife '06 over my old iLife 05.

have you tested it removing all peripheral devices?? some things to try-- boot to open firmware holding apple-option-o-f and then type in the following commands--
reset-nvram (hit return)
set-defaults (hit return)
reset-all (hit return)
the last command restarts the computer. if those things don't help, then i would boot to the install disk and run disk repair. make sure it is the tiger install disk. hold c until you a spinning cog under the apple, then once you see the window requesting a language, go forward one window. then go up to the utilities menu at the top of the screen and select "disk utility" then select the macintosh hd, or something else if you have renamed your harddrive. then click repair disk. do this a few times if necessary. after several times it should say "no repairs necessary". let me know if that works out for you. [ 8 ) ]

Apple Earpod volume down control not working

The play/pause button works great as well as the volume up, however the control doesn't respond when I press the volume down. The earpod has not been exposed to any water or the sort. Why is this happening?

Apple keyboard "volume up" doesn't stop

Hi folks,
Suddenly the "volume up" button (also F12) on my keyboard randomly acts as if it's being continuously pressed. Then the "volume down" won't work until I press the "volume up" key again, at which point it begins working again. Then in a few minutes or so the whole situation starts up again. It's the wired USB keyboard with the number pad on the right, not the bluetooth keyboard. I believe this happened since the newest OSX software update (10.9.4), but I'm not 100% sure.
So... Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Apple TV Volume - Will Not go to Zero

I use an AV receiver with my Apple TV - I have it hooked via the digital out and when I turn the volume down on the receiver to zero - or no volume - the apple tv is still outputing sound like it's on 10 or 20 on the receiver. I can mute it - but it's very annoying that you can't turn it to zero.
1. Apple TV
2. Use Digital Out
3. Soundcheck is on
4. I have HDMI and Optical Connected
5. Dolby Digital is On
6. Sony Receiver
Result = if I try and turn the volume to ZERO - when it's zero still sound.

Are you saying that when you turn your receivers volume completely down you can still hear the Apple TV? If so, where is the sound coming from? That's where the problem would be.
The Apple TV has no volume control, it is what it is.
Or is it what one of the others here is saying?

Apple IPAD2 Volume control Bent

Hi Friends,
My daughter have thrown the Apple IPAd 2 on the floor, and the volume control have now bent, and the volume either stay at the Minimum Level or after lot pressing come to a stable point where i can make use of the same.. Also i have shown my IPAD to local shop.. they suggested that Volumne control button needs a replacement & it also require the IC to be changed. But the Total cost of the same is Rs 6000/- . which is very expensive for me. Also Apple Authorised Dealer & repair shop in Bangalore , Kormanglam suggest that they cannot open the IPAD.. but they suggested to take the Damaged IPAD Back & give the new IPAD for Rs 17,000/-
Please advice or suggest, which option shall i take to get the same replaced. Is there any cheap Vendor Shops who can fix this issue quickly for me .

You don't actually need the volume button to change the volume of that is what you are asking. All you have to do is double click the home button, there you will see a toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Then swipe right on it. You will then come to a section where there are to sliding controls. The right one controls the iPad's volume.

Apple TV Volume Issues

I'm having issues with my Apple TV. I have it plugged in all correctly to my TV and I'm using home sharing from my computer, but on the tv, the volume seems to keep adjusting lower and then way too loud on its own. Any fixes for this?

ATV has no ablity to adjust the volumen on your TV. Something else is going on. Somoene else around you using a remote else where that might also effect your TV?

It is great that remote app can now control direct streaming options to the apple TV (such as apple match, apple radio, and home sharing) but is there any way for the remote app to control the volume?
Note that when I indirectly stream music through an external device (such as an iphone/ipad/laptop), I can of course use an apps volume control (such as, say, spotify, or itunes or whatever), and that works. What i'm talking about here is instances where I'm using the remote app to have the apple TV stream directly from, say, apple radio.
As it stands now, the only way to control the volume in such cases is to control what is receiving the signal from the apple TV (such as an amplifer, or external sound producing device such as powered speakers, etc.).
To make sure this clear to everyone, if I do:
internet -> WIFI LAN -> iphone running, say, spotify -> WIFI LAN via airplay -> Apple TV -> Amplifer
I can control the volume using the spotify app (or even the iphone's volume). This also works if I replace the spotify app with any music app runing
on the iphone (such as the music app). If, however, I try to do the following:
internet -> LAN -> Apple TV -> Amplifer
and where the Apple TV is controled via the latest iphone/ipad remote app so that the Apple TV streams from, say, apple radio directly, there is no way
to control the volume other than to adjust the amplifer.

The Apple TV has no volume control. When you are streaming from an app you are then controlling the volume on your iphone and transmitting via airplay.

Apple calendar volume discount?

Hey there,
I'm looking to get some custom calendars made for my business. Any printing place out there has discounts when you order a larger number of items. When I go through the process of ordering a calendar through iPhoto, no such discount seems to exist. Seeing as how I'd like to order 50 calendars, I feel there should be a price break.
I could use another company but I'd rather use Apple due to quality and design. I can't find any info on price breaks and I'd rather not pay and arm and a leg for 50 calendars. Does anyone have any info on this?

Is volume control on Apple tv remote possible?

Like using The iPod i mean.

Yes it's possible, indeed at one time Apple introduced the ability to control volume from the Apple TV. However it was found that one user would set the Apple TV volume low and the TV volume high, another user would come along and watch another source rather than the Apple TV and everyone would be deafened by the result. Consequently the feature was later removed.

Apple ID to App purchase, how many?

Ok...So currently with our elementary school we have 50 iPads in use. Since it is an elementary level the students DO NOT have their own Apple ID's for use with the iPads and we have all 50 iPads hooked into the same account regarding the app store and such. Since we only use one Apple ID across all the iPads for student use the apps we purchase download across them all without need for more than one purchase. So far we haven't had any issuesHowever, looking into it I can't seem to get a straight answer if this is proper or not. Some places say only 5 devices per download, others 10, and the Terms of Service from Apple itself isn't much clearer.
I don't even know how to interpret that because it says that you can only have 10 devices, but then ( i) and ( iv) don't apply?
Elsewhere I found this description:
(ii) If You are a commercial enterprise or educational institution, You may download and sync a Product for use by either (a) a single individual on one or more devices You own or control or (b) multiple individuals, on a single shared device You own or control. By this I was under the impression that since it was a resource used by multiple students but under one user license we only need to buy the one user code.
TL;DR:
Can I use one ID across multiple devices in a school and only buy 1 copy of the app we need to sync across them all?

I work for a school district and am in charge of managing our fleet of 2,600 iPads. Legally, for multiple users using multiple iPads (like in schools) you need to use VPP to purchase a separate license for each iPad (can't share one Apple ID for 10 devices used by 10 students). You can accomplish this with an MDM or with Apple Configurator. Here's some of Apple's verbiage that talks about App Store licensing on iOS devices:
APP STORE PRODUCT USAGE RULES
( i )If you are an individual acting in your personal capacity, you may download and sync an App Store Product for personal, noncommercial use on any iOS Device you own or control.
( ii ) If you are a commercial enterprise or educational institution, you may download and sync an App Store Product for use by either (a) a single individual on one or more iOS Devices used by that individual that you own or control or (b) multiple individuals, on a single shared iOS Device you own or control. For example, a single employee may use an App Store Product on both the employee's iPhone and iPad, or multiple students may serially use an App Store Product on a single iPad located at a resource center or library. For the sake of clarity, each iOS Device used serially by multiple users requires a separate license.
As an educational institution you will want to enroll in Apple's Volume Purchase Program (VPP) which allows a single Apple ID to purchase multiple licenses of an app. Most developers will offer a 50% discount on their app when 20 or more VPP licenses are purchased in a single transaction.
There is a free OS X program called Apple Configurator that you can use to distribute the VPP codes to your fleet of iPads. Apple Configurator uses a single Apple ID to install apps on your iPads. Spotlight is having trouble indexing what Time Machine wants to backup. The problem may be the source files on your Mac as opposed to any actual Time Machine problems.
First, use Disk Utility to repair permission on your Macs internal hard disk. Then try backing up again.
Next, failing that, boot from your Macs original install DVDs and go to the Utilities menu and launch Disk Utility and "Verify" your Macs internal hard disk. If problems are found "Repair" them. Then try backing up again.
Otherwise, use Disk Utility on the external backup drive and see if that needs repair.
