Applescript date parsing has changed

i have been using a script i wrote 7 years ago to convert a string in mm/dd/yyyy format to an a/s date object, and as of last week it was working perfectly.
tonite i just tried it and "11/05/2012" is parsed as 11may rather than 5nov...something changed the a/s parser's fmt...i suspect the xcode update i just did whenever it came out...
<Edited by Host>

yes, and apparently the xcode updte CHANGED MY LOCALIZATION SETTINGS without telling me:-P
i've fixed the problem by avoiding a/s string2date coersion(what i shoulda done in the 1st place)-:
-- dtp = [yyyy,mm,dd,hh,mm,ss]
set dt to (current date)
set day of dt to 1
set year of dt to ((item 1 of dtp) as integer)
set month of dt to ((item 2 of dtp) as integer)
set day of dt to ((item 3 of dtp) as integer)
set hours of dt to ((item 4 of dtp) as integer)
set minutes of dt to ((item 5 of dtp) as integer)
set seconds of dt to ((item 6 of dtp) as integer)

  • My data setting has changed without me doing anything.

    Can someone explain the following. I'm traveling in Japan and have disabled data on my iPhone 5. However, twice in the past two days I've noticed my home screen to be active despite the phone having been tucked away in my backpack for hours. Suspicious, I've checked my settings and discovered that the data is on and that autolock, normally set to one minute, has tripped to "never". To protect myself I've turned the phone off. Can someone explain what's happening? Having happened twice, it can't be a freak or random "glitch".

    If you're not fluent in syncing and restoring I'd stop by the Apple Store and let them have a look at it. Just an idea, if you haven't turned off the noise cancellation turn that off,  might as well make sure.
    I just remembered a recent post that might be similar.

  • Why the data type has changed to number from integer?

    SQL> create table t3(id integer);
    Table created.
    SQL> desc t3;
    Name Null? Type
    ID NUMBER(38)

    Yes you are right, but obviousely Oracle represents INTEGER as NUMBER(38) internally, which meens that you do not have decimal digits.
    see my demo:
    1 create table test_i
    2* (col1 integer)
    SYS @10gR2 SQL > /
    Table created.
    SYS @10gR2 SQL > desc test_i
    Name Null? Type
    ----------------------------------------- -------- ---------------------------- COL1 NUMBER(38)
    SYS @10gR2 SQL > insert into test_i values(10.2);
    1 row created.
    SYS @10gR2 SQL > select * from test_i;
    COL1
    10
    SYS @10gR2 SQL > insert into test_i values(10.6);
    1 row created.
    SYS @10gR2 SQL > select * from test_i;
    COL1

  • Date Picker Size Has Changed

    Recently the size of our data pickers has changed. The length of the date picker is now the size of the window.
    Has anybody else experienced this and how did you resolve it.
    Cheers
    Gus

    Hi Gus,
    Did you recently just upgrade APEX? Or perhaps did you include some custom CSS (which is overriding the CSS for the date picker)?
    Or perhaps have you upgraded your browser (or switched to a new browser)?
    Things don't just change for no reason ;)

  • Finding which condition has changed in ME12

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement that on change on a condition in Info record(ME12), i have to trigger a workflow. I am able to trigger a workflow based on CDO INFOSATZ.
    Now i need to send only that condition type for approval which has changed.
    Assume 4 condtions in info record,  then on change and save of a particular Condition type in ME12, i need to send only that changed condtion for approval to resp approver depending on condition type.
    I am not able to track how system will determine which condition has changed.
    I have thought of below approaches
    1) Create a custom Change document object for Condition tables
    2) Enable logging using SCU3
    How does SAP update conditions in ME12? On Change, does it update all conditions again or only data which has changed?
    Thanks for your help

  • Ora-01466 unable to read data table definition has changed oracle.

    hi all,
    i truncated a table before 10 min. now i want the data's so i used this query ;
    select *
    from ( select *
    from sometable where some_condition )
    as of timestamp sysdate-1;
    but it shows:
    """ ora-01466 unable to read data table definition has changed oracle"""";
    how to get the deleted records from database????????????
    Edited by: 887268 on Oct 24, 2011 4:02 AM

    Error:  ORA 1466
    Text:   unable to read data -- object definition has changed
    Cause:  This is a time-based read consistency error for a database object,
            such as a table or index.
            Either of the following may have happened:
            The query was parsed and executed with a snapshot older than the time
            the object was changed.
            The creation time-stamp of the object is greater than the current
            system time.
            This happens, for example, when the system time is set to a time
            earlier than the creation time of the object.
    Action: If the cause is
            an old snapshot, then commit or rollback the transaction and resume
            work.
            a creation time-stamp in the future, ensure the system time is set
            correctly.
            If the object creation time-stamp is still greater than the system
            time, then export the object's data, drop the object, recreate the
            object so it has a new creation time-stamp, import the object's data,
            and resume work.

  • How to insert data into a table only when data has changed its value (when compared to the previous inserted value)

    I wish to insert data into a table only when the value of the inserted data has changed. Thus, in a time series, if the value of the data at time, t-1, is 206 then if the data to be inserted at time t is 206, then it is skipped (not entered).
    If the value of the data at time t+1 is 206, it is skipped also; until the value changes, so if the value at t+1 was 205, then that would be inserted, and if at time t+2 the data is 206, it would be inserted too.
    What is the best way to do it without increasing overheads?

    This view works:
    SELECT
    i.IDNO,i.[Date],i.[Level]
    FROM
    mytable i
    INNER
    JOIN mytable
    d
    ON
    d.IDNO
    = i.IDNO-1
    WHERE
    i.[Level]
    <> d.[Level]
    on this mytable below.  A trigger could be quite useful here although I am cautious using them. However I wish to avoid the overhead by not having a temp table (which could be sizable).  mytable below
    should give 3 lines. The IDNO is an identity column.

  • How to verify that the user has changed table row data before db update

    Hi all,
    Iam using Oracle ADF with EJBs.
    I have a single selection table that displays rows of data returned from a function of my data control.
    The columns of my table are editable so that the user can change the data. The user selects a row, changes the data in one or more columns of the row and saves the data by means of a submit button. The code in the submit button, identifies the row of the corresponding iterator that the user clicked on and updates the data in the database (using the 'mergeEntity' function of the EntityManager)
    Before saving the data, I want to put some logic to check whether the user has actually changed some data to avoid unnecessary updates in the database . But for this I need a technique to detect that the user has indeed changed some data in the table row.
    One technique I have been using so far was to isolate the iterator row of the table and then query the corresponding row in the database table and compare their values.
    Except from dummy, this technique is not efficient if the table contains many rows.
    Moreover, in my case I have observed that on successive updates on the same row , the query on the database returns the new values (user changed values) and not the actual values contained in the database table. This means that when the user updates an iterator row the cached data affect also the results of the SELECT statement from the actual database table!!! Isn't this strange ?
    Can somebody propose me a neat method to detect when the user has changed the the data of an iterator row ?

    Hey Alan,
    The below solution seems overly complicated to me and can not be implemented without a custom screen and/or the use of JavaScript. Also, if your main concern is that a user may accidentally loose all their data because they closed the browser window or the session times out before they hit the save button then this solution does not help you.
    There are a couple of simpler approaches you can take here:
    # If the use of JavaScript is permissible you can hook into the windows 'onUnload' event, and pop-up a message box which gives the user the opportunity to cancel closing the window and save their case if they haven't already.
    # Implement an autosave feature by hooking into one of events provided by web determinations. A simple (but rather naive) way of doing this would be to hook into the OnRenderScreenEvent and call save on the interview session every time the event fires. This guarantees that all the data the user has submitted will aways automatically be saved, thereby removing the need to make sure the user manually saves their data before closing the browser.
    Automatically making Web Determinations close a browser window has to be done using JavaScript. However, doing so means that a) it won't work for people who turn off JavaScript, which is commonly done for accessibility reasons b) you'll likely run afoul of the browser's security mechanism (they generally won't let you close a window that you didn't open and some really don't like you doing that at all).
    Thanks,
    Kristy

  • Tabular form Update Error,"Current version of data in database has changed

    I'm getting an error when updating a Apex Tabular form. It's complaining that the row id's are out-of-sync. The error reads,' Current version of data in database has changed since user initiated update process. current row version identifier = "56DW5A8A7EBA3B42073AE6E71480A784" application row version identifier = "99B52A15F10E34647E9E18B6B7AE8C30" .
    Has anyone received this error? Any solutions? Note that the primary is being populated by a trigger. I have another tabular form for a different application that updates without issue, this however, uses a sequence to update the primary key.
    Thanks,
    James

    Make sure that the form is defined such that it "knows" that the PK is being set by a trigger. Do not try to set it in the form if the trigger is doing it. Pretty much if a trigger attempt to modify any column that also was editable (including hidden columns) in the form, the two will conflict.
    The other issue could be that do you have any items on the rows that are disabled? Disabled items are not sent to session state so Apex won't be able to properly compute the checksum and it'll find a discrepancy.

  • ORA-20505: Error in DML - Version of data in db has changed

    Hello,
    Application Express 3.1.0.00.32
    I have created a Report and Master Detail in the Sample Application on oracle.application.com. I am receiving an error on my Master Detail Form when clicking the <Previous and Next> buttons. I have viewed other issues like this in the forum but, it looks like everyone is a little different. Can anyone assist me with this error when browsing to the next record(s). Thanks in advance.
    ORA-20505: Error in DML: p_rowid=6, p_alt_rowid=CUSTOMER_ID, p_rowid2=, p_alt_rowid2=. ORA-20503: Current version of data in database has changed since user initiated update process. current checksum = "E9A08EDC02A82871E6865DB254B09ED2" application checksum = "39454529513F24BE60C167752BF71750"
    I created another Master Detail page and I do not have any errors when scrolling using <> buttons. Here is a process that may be causing my error using the original Master Detail page.
    DECLARE
    CUSTOMER_ID VARCHAR(20);

    SELECT CUSTOMER_ID INTO :P21_CUSTOMER_ID
    FROM DEMO_CUSTOMERS

         DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE
           ('No Data found for SEARCH on ' || CUSTOMER_ID);
    END;Edited by: Charles A on Apr 30, 2009 11:40 AM

    Hi Charles,
    I've had a look at your page 21.
    The problem was that the "Fetch Values 2" process was not conditional and was running in the "On Load - Before Header" process point. This meant that it was being run every time the page was being loaded. This process checks for the CUSTOMER_ID relating to the value in P21_CUST_FIRST_NAME which, because the "Fetch Row..." process hasn't been run at that point (it runs "On Load - After Header"), will always return the same CUSTOMER_ID value from when the page was first loaded. The Next/Previous buttons, however, moved the P21_CUSTOMER_ID forward/back one value (this became apparent when this field was changed from "Hidden and Protected" to "Text"). As a result, the data on the page was for "Albert" but the CUSTOMER_ID value was for whatever record was next/previous to the Albert one. Thus, moving next/previous always caused a mix of the actual data.
    I have changed the "Fetch Values 2" process to be conditional on P21_CUSTOMER_ID being NULL. This way, the CUSTOMER_ID value is ONLY found by code when the page is first loaded. Thereafter, it is controlled by the Next/Previous functionality.

  • APEX Error: Current version of data in database has changed since user init

    Hi:
    APEX 4.1
    I have a page with 2 regions. The first region is built with custom SQL using the APEX APIs. I have a process the can successfully update records.
    I built the second region with the tabular form wizard. This created the multi row update process.
    I created a region button and the two process respond to that button: process for first region, then process for the second region.
    When I add data to the second region and click the region button, I get the following error:
    Current version of data in database has changed since user initiated update process. current row version identifier = "A884FA378C851786DDFE3A33709CB23C" application row version identifier = "9ED06A0F09F80F054AB781CA24CC4CBF"
    I know it has something to do with these two types of regions being on the same page, because when I create a page of just the table form, the data is updated.
    Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong?
    Thanks.

    Hello
    If you try update the same data from 2 places you will got this message because:
    Apex forms have locking mechanism.
    1. During fetch data to form apex calculate checksum from every items on the forms.
    2. Before update process apex again fetch data from database (in background) and calculate checksum again if checksum from point 1 is the same like this checksum APEX realy update data with new item values. If no, You will got your error (apex secure You, You realy don't know what you update).
    According this if you change data which you use in the form between 1 and 2 point you will got this "error". You can check it for example if you change data from SQL/Plus or from other form.
    Probably you forget about this locking mechanism during designe your process from APEX API <- successfully update records (maybe successful but you don't know what you updated) : )
    If I helped You please check correct or helpful :)
