Applets can be viewed only from the bin directory

My applets show up in the browser only when the class file and the html are both in the bin directory. When I move them to any other directory the applet stops showing up on the html page. Any pointers?

Compiling from the default directory.

Im trying to compile java programs without having to change the directory in the DOS prompt. By setting up a classpath to my program directory I can run java programs from the base directory using JAVA, but JAVAC refuses to work saying "error cannot read hi.java" there is definitely a hi.java in the same folder as hi.class
Can anyone tell me how to get it to compile without having to change directory? Is there an Environmental Variable to set up?

The main argument to javac is the path to a source code FILE. This is different from the main argument to java, which is a CLASS name. Classpath is used to find CLASSES. It is not used to find source code FILES.
So for javac, you can do something likejavac c:\path\to\hi.javafrom any directory and javac will find the source code FILE.
The source code may reference another CLASS - if it does, javac will use the Classpath to find the other CLASS.

Please tell me a bit more about the file that you're working with. I'm assuming it's a PDF since you landed in the Acrobat.com forum--are you viewing it in Acrobat or Reader, and which version?
When you open the PDF, are there no comments in it? Or, are you seeing empty comment boxes, or comments that are too small to read? Are you able to view comments in other PDF files?

Problem solved, it was my oversight, I had not removed the check from the Print to File box in the print set up.

Yes. There is no limit to the number of iPods, iPads, and iPhones you can sync with one computer/iTunes library or account. On top of that, how you sync one iPod does not affect the syncing preferences of another.

Simply configure the Nano to only sync podcasts and nothing else.

However, I saw a reference to problems with the Library entries, so I checked mine and the iWork files were missing, something confirmed when I checked the crash log. In desperation, I did another software update, and that seems to have fixed the problem completely. Now wondering if I dare upgrade to Lion!

Can I install Pages only from the iwork '09 suite

You can't choose to just install Pages. You will have to install all three applications.They together are only 700 Mb in the Application folder. Of course you can afterwards delete Keynote and Numbers if you like.

After "Replace with clip" the original clip can not be deleted from the project - why?

After using "replace with clip" to replace clip A in the timeline with a new clip B , clip A can not be deleted from the project anymore.
If you try to delete clip A, you get a warning, that it still has references in one or more sequences.
If you continue and delete clip A, it seems to be deleted - at first!
Unfortunately if you save and reopen the project, clip A is restored to folder "Recovered clips".
It's not possible to really delete it.
I also did not find a way to unlink clip B from A .
The only thing you can do, is to revert the change by "Restore Unrendered" in the clip context menu. But that's obviously not helping
I dont know if this is a bug or a feature. I understand, that it can be useful to undo the "replace clip" function, but why would anyone not want to be able to delete the original clip at all?
help how to fix this problem is greatly appreciated!

You can easily reproduce this behaviour:
1. create a new project
2. import 2 clips and name them "A" and "B"
3. put "A" in the timeline
4. ALT-drag "B" over "A" in the timeline (or right-click "A" in the timeline while selecting "B" in the project files and select "replace with clip ... from bin")
5. delete "A" from the project files
6. save and close project
7. reopen project
=> "A" reappears in "Recovered clips" and can not be deleted.

If you are in thumbnail view in the Camera Roll, tap the Edit button in the upper right corner. Tap the photos that you want to add to the existing album. Tap - Add To - in the upper right corner and then tap - Existing Album.
You can only add camera roll photos to albums that you have created on the iPad. You cannot add them to albums that you synced from iTunes.

Delete apps from the bin

How do I delete apps from the bin. They won't delete! I have deleted them in iTunes, they went into the bin but they won't delete from there. They are from another user account. A messege comes up and says I don't have permission to delete them, and they are locked. How can I tackle this please anyone? Thanks!

Have you upgraded to iPhoto 9.6 for compatibility with Yosemite? If not, try that first.
It looks like iPhoto has lost the connection between the thumbnails and the original image files.
This can be caused by a corrupted iPhoto library, or the originals have been deleted or moved.
Try first to rebuild your iPhoto Library:
If you do not have a current backup of the iPhoto library, make a copy of the library, but do not overwrite any previous backup.
Launch iPhoto with the ⌥⌘-key combination (option-command) held down.
Select "rebuild" from the first aid panel. This may take a while for a large library.
Can you now see your photos again?
If not, rebuild the library with iPhoto Library manager as described by Old Toad: Re: iphoto crashed

I have an iphone 3G which has been disabled after a child tried to get into it. Itunes will not connect until I have put the passcode in but the device will only enable emergency calls and does not allow a passcode to be put in. I have put it into recovery mode and itunes can't see it. There is currently no SIM card in it and it's not connectng to the wifi so I can't wipe it from the cloud. Any ideas how I can get into it?

iPhones require a SIM for activation.
Put the device in DFU mode (google it) and restore via iTunes.

Thanks for all your replies. I want this kind of a functionality because Im trying to invove a DC (Child DC) from a Parent DC such that the Child DC's view is displayed onto the view container of the Parent DC. I have embedded using 'interface view of a component instance' in the Parent Window and am able to create the component and set usage though the onPlugDefault of the Child View.
But I observe that when i make a call from the parent, the flow is like this:
1. The wdDoInit of the Child Component Controller gets triggered first.
2. Then the wdDoInit of the Child's VIEW gets triggered
3. and THEN the onPlugDefault of the Child Component Interface View
What I had actually wanted was to Fire onPlugDefault where Im calling a method LoadData(), after which the Child DC's view must be triggered so it can display the fetched data.
What is actually happening is the view gets displayed, but no data is displayed in the view.
Right now I have just given a work around where Im triggering LoadData() of the COmponent COntroller from the wdDoInit of the VIEW.
Is there a better way to do this? I find it strange that I have to load the Data from the view.
