Application does not run on target system
Hello, This is my first attempt at using this forum & creating a LV standalone application and I have encountered a brick wall.
I have created a simple VI to display some T/C readings that runs fine on the (LV prof 8.5) development system, but not on a different target PC.
The target PC does not have LV installed, just DAQ-MX software for Windows V8.6
The DAQ hardware is a SCXI-1000 chassis with SCXI-1600 USB interface, taking data with SCXI 1102. I am using the same hardware on both
the development PC and the target PC. The DAQ hardware works correctly on the target PC (using MAX). My application loads, but just does
not run on the target pc.

I am not sure. On my last attempt, I had included "additional installers" Run-Time Engine(s) 8.0.1, 8.2.1, and 8.5.1.
The application seems to load. The screen looks normal, it just doesn't seem to acquire any data (although it appears to be running).
The VI is very simple. I have attached it (didn't realize I could do this before). I hope this answers your questions.

Hi Gurus,
Scenario: Classic, Self service procurment.
I made a shopping cart with my requirements.
PR and PO created in the backend system.
Posted the GR in SRM....and got the message of posted in the backend.
Posted the invoice in the SRM and message creation completed and found that it has not been posted in the backend (checked the PO history).
The message found in SRM SLG1...."Term of payment does not exist in target system" for that.
Checked the vendor conditions and found that terms of payment exist in the backend system for that vendor.
What could be the problem and how to resolve this issue?

I am new to SRM.
We have created new payment term in ECC and replicated to SRM using BBP_UPLOAD_PAYMENT_TERMS. We are able to see in table BBP_PAYTERM and BBP_PAYMENT_TEXT.
But the non of the payment terms are reflecting into PO in SRM after this.
I am able to see the payment term in backend in BBP_PD. I am getting the below warning message when I click on Check Button.
'Term of payment does not exist in the target system'.
What could be the problem and how to resolve it?

MacBook Address Book Application Does Not Run
MacBook OSX 10.5.8 - Address Book application will not run - it shows up in Applications Folder but will not run - either double click or command File - Open. I have reinstalled the Address Book application with the original installation disk, which indicated the application was installed, still will not run. Rebooted, reinstalled again - same result -- the Applications Folder shows the file size as 1.4 Mb - updated today - the installation disk showed approx. 53 Mb was being installed - not sure if the Application Directory is only showing a command file or what - also ran the hardware diagnostic and found no problems. Software update shows current software is up to date.
Haven't used Address Book so do not know if it ever worked. Need it now to sync with IPhone 4. Any Ideas?rjackjr,
After reinstalling an Apple application from the installation disk, it is also necessary to reinstall the latest Combo Update for the installed system. In your case that would be Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update.
Try that and see what happens with your Address Book application. -
LV7.1 executeable built on Daqmx8 does not run on target PC with daqmx 7.2/7.4
I have recently upgraded my development PC to Labview 8, RT and FPGA. This comes with DAQmx 8.0.0f0.
I needed to make a new release of an application still running LV7.1 and either DAQmx 7.2 or 7.4. The new build works fine on my PC but running the executeable on the target machine there are many errors associated with DAQmx library files not being compatible. I have checked the file paths in the 7.1 and they all point to the standard labview 7.1\vi.lib\daqmx librarys, and I don't think the vi names have changed.
I don't think it is the application builder as it seems to be the same as always. (7.1)
The target PCs are in factories around Europe and are upgraded by modem link. I have always found it very difficult to upgrade DAQmx remotely and don't try it unless on site.
Quick solution is to build on a 7.1 workstation and run time then works, so the code is OK.
Are there any settings in the application builder or elsewhere that would help?
Has anybody else found problems upgrading to 8? Generally its good, especially with RT and FPGA toolkits.

As you are now using LabVIEW 8 any executable which includes NI-DAQmx 8 will require LV 8 runtime engine and DAQmx 8. What you can do is build an installer that goes with the executable witch contains the LabVIEW 8 runtime engine (default) and DAQmx 8 selected under additional installers. If you run this before your exe it will update the DAQmx drivers to version 8 and MAX to version 4. You will then be able to run your exe files.
I built an exe and an installer using LabVIEW 8 and ran it on a machine with LabVIEW 7.1. The installer updated every thing easily. The only problem is that as the installer contains DAQmx 8 it is about 460meg which might be a problem as you are doing this remotely the only thing I can suggest is using an FTP server or getting your customers to down load DAQmx 8 of our website

Flex application does not run in Internet Explorer(IE) browser
The IE browser has the required version of the Flash player installed as a Active X control.
Looked at the remoting-config.xml and services-config.xml files, but did not find anything which might prevents the application from running on IE. The application is using Flash remoting services to talk to Coldfusion and fails with a "Send Failed" message.
Where could be the error and how can I start tracing it?
Any advice would be welcome.I had this issue with using https and flex. There is a known issue (that microsoft calls a feature) that prevents IE from caching content (flash files) over https.
If you are using https, try using http to see if it makes a difference. To get it working you need to set some headers in the response.

Java Application does not run in Windows XP
Hi, I have developed a Java Swing application using JRE 1.4.2 and everything works fine under Windows 2000. However, for some Windows XP machines, the application hangs on startup when it tries to show the initial splash screen. No exceptions are thrown and the application must be terminated from the Task Manager.
A workaround seems to be setting the javaw.exe properties so that it runs in "compatibility mode for Windows 2000".
Any ideas?Are you doing any JNI or native calls during start-up? That's my quess.

CUA roles sometimes do not match the target system
Hi,
We are using CUA on Solution manager to assign roles to our different systems. Every now and then what is in CUA does not match the target System.
I know that you can look at the idocs using WE05 and see what the root cause was, fix it and then re-assign the role.
The problem is that when you assign the role using CUA, it doesn't warn you that the transmission failed on the target system.
We just went live last week, so I am added and removing roles from many different users using SU01 and SU10 and I do not think it is a valuable use of time to sift through the idoc logs every time I make a change. Especially, since most of the time it works.
Is there a better way to monitor the Idoc logs? Can you have it send a notification (email for example) when there is an error? Is there a better process then WE05?

NeilNeil. It was a long time I played around with CUA. But I am remembering some transaction where you had the logs. Think it is SCUL.

Email application does not launch
Hi,
I am using abode reader x, windows 7 & outlook 2010. When I attach a pdf to an email through the abdoe program & press attach, it reads "launching email applciation", but nothing then happens.
Can anyone assist me with this please?
I have already uninstalled and reinstalled and played with the default program settings.

Outlook & Word 2010. Excel 2000. I have a program that I have to use that is not compatible with excel 2010. I have tried to rename the mapi32.dll to mapi32old.dll, but Windows 7 prohibited me from making that change. I have also have tried to use fixmapi.exe, but the application does not run, despite the fact that I have administrator settings.
I had the exact same configuration on my previous computer (which was new, but returned for other reasons) and I was able to email from word & adobe. -

I can see the application in EAS and in the Planning Database.
In the log I'm get the following errors:

first, you just asked me to use MS file Explorer to see what the properties were.,..and to ask what happened. Yes - that's on my hard drive. The problem I have is opening word files in a DB that is web enabled.....I've used Firefox browser for that, and everything else , for years...... When I look at the Tools, and options on FireFox., as your support page noted.....NOTHING is listed in the Applications tab....hence my note asking for help. The file I need to open is a Word file out on a web enabled DB. It's not on my hard drive - I have to problems opening docs there - but for that, I don't use Firefox

Application designer does not run

I have different version of Application designer on my laptop (win XP pro).
When I double-click on any pside.exe , it does not run. If I copy the same on another Laptop it runs.

Memory issue ? I don't think so but anyway windows says nothing or it says in a logfile that I can not find. Laptop has 3Gb of RAM.
