Application Exception Running XML Editor

Hi All,
I've just downloaded and installed XML Editor v.1.0 - http://developer.bea.com/ftp_bin/download/tools/BEA_XMLEditor10_Win.exe
When I'm trying to start it (under MS Win 2000 Pro) I'm getting the following
message:

Is there any way to fix this problem?

Make sure you are using the Java.exe from a current JDK and that you are
configured correctly.

  • Applescript duplicate command runs different as an Application than from Script Editor

    Hi,
    When I run my script from the Script Editor it copies (duplicates) only the new files from one folder to the other one, as desired.  That is, when the file already exists in the destination folder, it just skips to the next one until they are all done.
    However, if I save that very same script as an Application and run it, Finder throws up a dialog box for each item telling me that it already exists and asks if I'd like to Keep Both, Stop or Replace the file.
    I can't figure out why it would run differently as a Script in Script Editor, to how it would run as an Application?  Can somebody please tell me where I'm going wrong? Or perhaps there has been a change in the way Finder and Applescript operate the Duplicate command in Yosemite?
    Interestingly, this problem has only started occurring since I updated to Yosemite.  Before that, on Mavericks, I didn't have this problem!  And I've also just tried the same thing on my other MacBook Pro that's running Mavericks and it works as intended.
    Thanks so much!

    I think the replacing parameter may be broken. The first time I run this:
    tell application "Finder"
      make new folder at desktop with properties {name:"newf"} with replacing
    end tell
    I get a new folder. The second and subsequent times, I get this:
    Unless I'm completely misunderstanding how to use the replacing parameter...

    first thanks for your reply,
    i already figured that out and deployed it using 10.1.3.1 jars
    my question
    1) if it is a bug , how come it works fine with jdeveloper (
    i would appreciate if you could provide any info about it.
    2) i dont want to sound sarcastic , but 10.1.3.1 has of optimistic locking and the recommended solution i found was to use descriptor.getQueryManager().setUpdateCallCacheSize(0);
    looks like 10.1.3.1 fixed one bug and introduced other one which was working fine earlier...
    is there any other way of fixing optimistic locking issue other than using the
    descriptor.getQueryManager().setUpdateCallCacheSize(0);
    where i can find the latest/greatest (up to date patched version of toplink)
    thanks again for your help

  • XPontus XML Editor 1.0.0.1 is out

    Hi everybody,
    The version 1.0.0.1 of XPontus XML Editor(http://xpontus.sf.net) is out. XPontus XML Editor is a simple XML Editor oriented towards text editing. It aims to become the free alternative to commercial XML IDEs such as XML SPy or Oxygen XML Editor. The software has been entirely rewritten to support plugins, so most of XPontus features are provided as plugins which can be extended.
    Here is the complete list of the major features :
    * Modularity : XPontus is now built on top of a plugin framework to allow a modular development. Most of XPontus features are provided as plugins.
    * Code completion : For general XML files code completion is built on the fly when a DTD or schema is associated to the document. XSL completion is provided using a DTD embedded in the XML code completion plugin. For HTML files, an embedded DTD is used to create the code completion database.
    * XPath 1.0 support
    * Syntax coloring is enabled for XML and HTML related files.
    * XSL transformations (PDF, HTML, XML, SVG, TEXT).
    * Check if XML is well formed
    * Validation : Simple XML validation, Batch XML validation, External schema validation
    * Code structure browser to display the hierarchic structure of XML and HTML files
    * Code indentation is available for XML and HTML related files.
    * File system abstractions : XPontus will be able to use file system abstraction which means that a FTP file and a local file will be look all the same to the application.
    * Schema generation/conversion(Generation of DTDS, XML schemas, Relax NG grammars from XML files).
    * HTML Documentation generation from XML schemas or DTD
    * Installers are available for Windows, Mac and Linux/Unix(FreeBSD, Solaris)
    * Platform independence : As XPontus is written Java, it runs on most platforms such as Windows, Mac OS, Linux/Unix, FreeBSD, MacOS, Solaris.
    * Drag and drop support, common editing features(print, etc.), control+pageup and control+pagedown to switch between windows.

    No, it is not built on top of Netbeans. The plugin framework is JPF(http://jpf.sourceforge.net) and the docking framework is vldocking(http://www.vlsolutions.com/en/products/docking/).
    XPontus XML Editor is a standalone Java Swing application for now. The integration with Netbeans and Eclipse is planned for future releases. That will depends on the team's knowledge of Netbeans Platform and SWT.
    Thank you for your interest in XPontus XML Editor

  • JDEV 10.1.3  XML Editor does not load XML file

    I am trying to edit a large (300MB+) xml file with JDEV 10.1.3 running on a Windows XP Pro workstation with a 2.8 ghz processor and 1GB of memory. The XML file has application data in it. The file loads just fine into the Oracle database using the XML Developer's toolkit so I don't thing there is anything wrong with the XML.
    I'm finding that the XML editor does not load the file. Many minutes elapse, then JDEV appears to simply give up - JDEV is no longer busy. There's no XML data to edit - that window is empty. There are no error messages displayed.
    I'm new to JDEV so I need to know if there is an error log file I should examine.
    BTW, other XML editors (XML Spy, Stylus Studio, etc) simply run out of memory and lock up the machine - it appears they are tryign to convert the XML file contents into 32-bit unicode in memory, build a list of pointers to impose a DOM-like structure, and then load their editor.

    Do you really want to manually edit the 300MB file? how much scrolling will you need to do to get to the last row?
    In any case it is likely that JDeveloper also runs out of memory - you can try running the [jdev-root]\jdev\bin\jdev.exe file and see if you get any error message in the log window.

  • How do I know if my application is running from within WebLogic server

    I have an application that could be running either as a standalone

    We have a similar situation here and we took the approach suggested below.
    It does work, however it is creating one problem for us.
    Sometime after the code below executes, our application attempts to
    construct
    the initial JNDI context (in order to look up an EJB Home). In the case
    where
    our application is running outside of a WLS instance, we get the following

    It would appear that the failed call to getT3Services() is leaving the
    Weblogic client

    So, the question I have is "is there any *safe* way to determine if an

    try

    My 2 cents.

  • AIR application request a xml file from a server (but only legal users)

    Hello guys
    I am conceptualizing a project at the moment and I am thinking of using Adobe AIR to develop the application related to that project.
    But it depends on the ability of AIR to fulfill my project requirements.
    I want your ideas, please...
    Imagine, I finished developing my application and compiled the distributed version using Adobe AIR.
    And I am going to distribute the installation files of the intended application by burning on to a CD.
    Imagine, the user who got that CD, installed it it on his computer and launched the application.
    When the application is running, it needs to load a XML file which is saved in our company server.
    Since it is an important data file I don't want to dispatch it with the installation CD.
    So I am thinking of using URLRequest and URLLoader classes to load this XML file from server dynamically.
    Lets imagine I did codes like this....
    var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest("http://www.mycompany.com/sereverfolder/blabla.xml");
    request.method = URLRequestMethod.POST;
    var loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
    loader.load(request);
    But my question is, how safe hardcoding the path for the xml file in the class file as shown above.
    Can anyone get access to xml file path by looking into installation files dispatched via CD?
    Or is there any other safer way to do this?
    Thank you for taking time to read my question and please add your input if you would like to share your knowledge.
    cheers

    My scenerio iam posting IDOC to a flat file with content conversion in the receiver side,the mapping got executed successfully and in the audit log i found that the error was after the 'Start converting XML document content to plain text'.
    This means that error occured during content conversion of XML to the prescribed file format.
    Can anyone suggest any better approach using which we may trace the junk data in IDoc. Manual adhoc approach could take time and is error prone.
    Thanks in advance...
    karun

    Hi Bhavesh,
    Thanks for the early reply. I checked the mapping and everything is fine and the output is also in valid XML format.
    The audit log shows that the mapping got executed successfully and the error is after the step 'Start converting XML document content to plain text '. Is there any constraint in the file adapter regarding the message size for parsing.

  • Script to get application stats running on multiple windows servers

    Hi,
     I am beginner in powershell and trying to write a script to get the different stats of an application/s running on  windows WAS server. am trying to gather all the stats into one custom object and planning the tabular output to send via html mail.
    am finding it hard to frame logic to get this done and below is piece of script. can somebody guide on this ?
    # Get the profiles list in the server
    $ppath = "profilePath"
    $profiles = Get-ChildItem "profilePath" | ForEach-Object { $_.Name }
    $SystemInfo = @()
    $profiles | ForEach-Object {$_}{
    $Obj = New-Object -TypeName PSObject
    $pathToCheck = $ppath + $_ + "application path"
    $SerFile = "profilePath" + $_ + "service file"
    $ContFile = "profilePath" + $_ + "context file"
    if(Test-Path $pathToCheck)
    #Write-Host "Profile ==>" $_
    $Obj | Add-Member -MemberType NoteProperty -Name Profile -Value $_
    $PIDFile = $ppath + $_ + "PID file path"
    if(test-path $PIDFile)
    $ProcID = get-content $PIDFile
    #Write-Host "PID     ==>" $ProcID
    $memTmp = Get-WmiObject -class Win32_PerfFormattedData_PerfProc_Process | where{$_.idprocess -eq $ProcID} | Select WorkingSetPrivate
    $memUsage = $memTmp | Select -Expand WorkingSetPrivate
    #Write-host "Memory  ==>" $memUsage
    else{
    $ProcID = "PID Not Found"
    $Obj | Add-Member -MemberType NoteProperty -Name Memory -Value $memUsage
    if(test-path $SerFile)
    $temp = Get-ChildItem -name $SerFile
    $SerStr = $temp.Substring(0,4)
    $nm = Get-Service -name *$SerStr* | Select Name
    $name = $nm | select -expand Name
    $sts = Get-Service -name *$SerStr* | Select Status
    $status = $sts | select -expand Status
    #Write-Host "Service Name ==>" $name
    #write-host "Status " ==> $status
    else{
    $SerStr = "Service Not Found"
    $Obj | Add-Member -MemberType NoteProperty -Name Service-Name  -Value $name
    $Obj | Add-Member -MemberType NoteProperty -Name Service-Status -Value $status
    if(test-path $ContFile)
    [XML]$rav = get-content $ContFile
           $tmp1 = @($rav.GetElementsByTagName("context-root"))
           $client = $tmp1[0]."#text"
           #write-host "Environment" ==> $client
    else{
    $client = "ContextRoot Not Found"
       }$Obj | Add-Member -MemberType NoteProperty -Name Environment -Value $client
    write-output $Obj | format-table -autosize  Profile , Environment

    Hi Ravi0211,
    The script below may be helpful for you, which can filter the process based on the property "idprocess" and the services based on the service "name":
    $pids=@()
    $output=@()
    $output1=@()
    get-content d:\processid.txt|foreach{
    $pids+=$_} #store the processid as an array
    Get-WmiObject -class Win32_PerfFormattedData_PerfProc_Process | foreach{
    if ($pids -contains $_.idprocess){#filter the processid listed in the file d:\processid.txt
    $Obj = New-Object -TypeName PSObject
    $Obj | Add-Member -MemberType NoteProperty -Name idprocess -Value $_.idprocess
    $Obj | Add-Member -MemberType NoteProperty -Name Memory -Value $_.WorkingSetPrivate
    $output+=$obj}
    $services = get-content d:\service.txt
    Foreach($service in $services){
    Get-service | foreach{
    If ($_.name –like “*$service*”){#filter the service based on the service name stored in d:\service.txt
    $Obj1 = New-Object -TypeName PSObject
    $Obj1 | Add-Member -MemberType NoteProperty -Name Service-Name -Value $_.name
    $Obj1 | Add-Member -MemberType NoteProperty -Name Service-Status -Value $_.status
    $output1+=$obj1}
    $output
    $output1
    I hope this helps.

  • Open XML file in XML editor with certain XPath highlighted

    Hi,
    I have wrtten an XML compraison tool which produces an HTML report of all differences and shows the xpaths where there is a mismatch. I want the user to be able to click the xpath (like hyperlink) and open the XML file using IE or any opensource XML editor (xerlin?) such that the xpath node is the current highlighted node on the screen. That way the user can right away seee where the mismatch is. As a next step I wanted to open both the control and the test files side by side with both xpaths highlighted.
    Any idea how I can approach the problem? Is there any open osurce software I can leverage and integrate my application,
    Thanks,
    Abhijit

    This code of yours should work.

    url = "<%=display_url%>";
    window.open(url, "Zusatz", "width=400, height=400");
    </script>
    <% endif. %>
    what happens, it doesnt open new window at all or new window is opened but xml doesnt show up?

  • Online XML editor?

    Hi
    I am looking for an JSF component or framework which allows editing XML documents online in the browser.
    I found the tags richTextEditor and richTextEditorInsertBehavior, but thats out of the box only for text editing.
    http://jdevadf.oracle.com/adf-richclient-demo/faces/components/
    My wish list:
    - platform Win XP + IE6
    - XSD validation, marking erros, etc.
    - Intellisense feature e.g. suggestions in XML document for possible XSD values ...
    Until now I found:
    - http://www.bitfluxeditor.org/
    - http://www.ektron.com/ewebeditproxml.aspx
    - http://xopus.com/xopus-web-based-wysiwyg-xml-editor.html
    Someone used richTextEditor as online XML editor? Other advices ...?
    If I remember correctly than exists editing possiblities in the Oracle Enterprise Manager for XML documents of the application server? What framework is under the hood?
    Best regards
    Tobi

    Can i know where to download the CookTop?or CookTop2?

    No, it is not built on top of Netbeans. The plugin framework is JPF(http://jpf.sourceforge.net) and the docking framework is vldocking(http://www.vlsolutions.com/en/products/docking/).
    XPontus XML Editor is a standalone Java Swing application for now. The integration with Netbeans and Eclipse is planned for future releases. That will depends on the team's knowledge of Netbeans Platform and SWT.
    Thank you for your interest in XPontus XML Editor

  • Simple XML Editor

    Is there a simple, FREE, XML editor out there (written in Java)?
    I am using an XML file format for a small application I wrote, and I would prefer to edit the file using an XML editor, since it is easy to screw up the file in a text editor.
    If you've used Forte or Netbeans, all I want is a simple XML editor like the one that is built into the IDE.
    Thanks for any information.

    Vim works pretty good, its free, and has syntax highlighting. You would need to be familiar with using vi. http://www.vim.org/
    If you use Eclipse, you can get http://www.oxygenxml.com/. It's not free, but its cheaper than XMLSpy.
    I haven't found anything better than XMLSpy, even though its expensive.
    Does anyone know of another tool that can generate a sample instance document from a schema, and/or a schema from an instance document? I find that handy in XMLSpy.

  • Securing applications communications running in the same server

    Hi everybody,
    I want to share critical information between two applications (medical information about patients) using JMS queues, moreover due to this criticity i was planning to secure this communication using SSL. The problem is that one of the client applications, because of his architecture, have problems when accessing the JMS queues.
    But I have to say that both applications will run in the same server (physical machine), knowing that, what kind of security problems could we encounter if, finnally we don't cypher the communication?
    I guess that the danger is lower than if the two applications would run in different machines, wouldn't it?
    Thanks!!!
