Application Server SE One & SSL

Hello!
This may be a silly question, but I'm completely new to OAS and need something quickly done. So, how do I enable SSL communication between web browsers and HTTP server so that both server and client are verified with certificates? Which configuration files should I modify and how? I've seen something like SSLConfigTool, but there is no such thing in my version of OAS (10.1.2). Pleas help!
Thanks everyone,
K.

Create digital certificates through Oracle Wallet
Place wallet in a directory.
Mention directory path and password in ssl.conf
Make HTTP-component SSL enabled in opmn.conf adn reload opmn
Restart apache

  • Can you install the Office Web Application Server on one of the App Servers for SharePoint 2013?

    Hi,
Is it possible to run Office Web Application Server (shows preview images for docs and allows Notepad, Word, Excel to work etc) on one of the SharePoint 2013 App Servers. I don't want to have to create a new server. It talks about setting
    up a farm.
Better still how the feck do you switch this functionlity off - I always remember it being a pain in the arse. We accidentally ran the first part of the configuration on one of the SharePoint App Servers only to find out our subscription does not
have this download (bar stewards changed this Nov 2014 - just after started contract).
Help would be much appreciated as close to go live
    Thanks.
    John.

    Hi John,
Please reboot the server at the very beginning and test the issue again.
    Quote from you:
Problem is I get Internet Web Page cannot display the webpage everytime I click in a excel document, powerpoint document, notebook link or the preview
Please post the url in browser address here.
If you just executed the command below:
    Add-WindowsFeature Web-Server,Web-Mgmt-Tools,Web-Mgmt-Console,Web-WebServer,Web-Common-Http,Web-Default-Doc,Web-Static-Content,Web-Performance,Web-Stat-Compression,Web-Dyn-Compression,Web-Security,Web-Filtering,Web-Windows-Auth,Web-App-Dev,Web-Net-Ext45,Web-Asp-Net45,Web-ISAPI-Ext,Web-ISAPI-Filter,Web-Includes,InkandHandwritingServices
It just install some windows feature to the current server, we can find it should be done before installing several server products.
Could you please verify if the command you executed is the same as the one above?
You could also go to local disk and check if there is OfficeWebApps folder under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\?
If you check in Control Panel > Programs, is there any feature related to Office Web Apps?
If you have confirmed there is no Office Web Apps feature installed, please go to SharePoint document library settings, and make the document to open in client, does it work?

If it fails for your account and not for another, with the same settings on your phone, then the problem is with your account. If you or your IT department can't correct it, it may be corrupt. Delete the account from the Exchange server entirely and re-create it.

  • Migrate Sun One application server from One Server to Another

    Dear all,
We need to migrate the Sun ONE application from Sun Ultar server to Sun Fire 210. Please share with me if any one done the migration.
    Thanks & Regards
    Arun

I am sorry. My question was poorly worded after some hours of frustration. What I am really trying to do is develop a base virtual machine snapshot with Sun Web Server Loaded and a base set of applications.
When the need arises, I need to deploy another VM and start it up. There seems to be some issue with the host name of the VM and the administration server, or something. It is my impression that as longs as I have everything contained in one directory like /webserver, I should be able to copy everything to a new machine and start it up. I know I need the listeners listening on all ip addresses and the jdk being used would need to be in that directory as well. Is there anything I am missing here or that I need to watch out for?

  • Application Server Redirect one Application to a static web page

We have an OAS installation that contains two applications. One contains both Portal and Oracle Forms components whilst the second is purely Oracle Forms. We want to redirect users to a static web page if an application is down for maintainance.
It has been easy to modify httpd.conf to add lines to redirect the elements of the application that uses portal. The elements that use Oracle forms seem to use MOD_OC4J and I cannot redirect calls to these forms.
I have tried a redirect based on /forms/frmservlet?config=app1 but this did not work as /form/servlet requests are handled by redirecting to MOD_OC4J.
Looking in Forms.Conf I found some lines where the frmservlet is mapped:
    AliasMatch ^/forms/frmservlet(.*) "/servlet.frm"
Would it be possible to create regular expressions to either allow all /forms/frmservlet?config=XXXX through except for app1 as an example? The plan would be to comment these lines out until required and then activate them by removing the comment # and bouncing the Forms element of OAS.
If this idea is not reasonable could anyone suggest a better way that does not require connection to the database nor the need to start up the forms runtime within the client browser?

<cflocation> will always give you that result, as it
has no concept of the browser window(s) or frame(s).
i don't know if the <meta> has a concept of frames or
    not.
you could always use a JavaScript solution, which would be:
    new window:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <cfoutput>window.open("#newURL#");</cfoutput>
    </script>
    same window, breaking frameset:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <cfoutput>top.location.href="#newURL#";</cfoutput>
    </script>
    i think that'll do it. been a while :)

  • Classloader and Sun One Application Server 8

    Hello.
The problem is that it is impossible to load the digester at application level. Instead of it the digester at application server (Sun One Application Server 8) level is loaded. How can I change the situation?
    Thanks.

This is happening because generally before a class loader loads a class it lets the parent class loader to load the class.
In Sun One App Server, only web apps can alter this behaviour. Set the delegate attibute of the class-loader element in sun-web.xml to false. This allows the web app class loader to load the class and only if the web app class loader fails to load the parent class loader is consulted.

  • Files from FTP server to Application server

    Hi All,
I am new to SDN and SAP XI, can anyone tell me whether its possible to move the files (different strcuture files i.e. some are master data files and some are transaction data file) from FTP server to Application server with one interface. Actually the process is already established at clientsite for placing master data files like product, plant etc from FTP server to App server through FTP adapter. Now my requirement is to move transaction data file with completely different structure as master data to App server. If we place these trasaction data file in same folder/directory as master data files does SAP XI pick this file also. If not what are the steps I need to follow to achieve this. I know that if we create new configuration it will work but I question is does master data interface picks this transaction data file also.
Right now our process for master data files is SAP XI picks the files and deletes the file from FTP server folder. The master data file names are plant_attr.csv, product_attr.csv etc and transcation data file name is salestrasactiondata.csv. I need to move these files to application server on daily bases.
    I appreciate your help .
    Regards
    Bob.

    Hello Bob,
    Yes it is possible.
There can be two ways of doing it.
    1. N:1 mapping, BPM will require for this.
    N:1 Mapping refer this blog
IDOCs (Multiple Types) Collection in BPM
    BpmPatterns CollectMerge
part1  BPM with Patterns explained Part-1
part2  BPM with Patterns explained Part-2
    Second option
Create 3 scanarios in integration directory and correspondingly in integration repositoy create different data types, message types, mappings & interface mappings and then in each of scenario us different message interface and interface mapping.
    > I know that if we create new configuration it will work but I question is does master data interface picks this transaction data file also.
    >
If you are using N:1 scenario then use *.csv in your sender adapter under file name parameter and then all the files will be picked up from same directory.
If you are using second option (3 different scenarios) then also you can pick the different files from same directory. You will be having 3 sender adapters in this case, So, one for picking master data, and another for product data and the last one for transaction data.
So, in case of master data use "plant_*.csv" as a file name and directory name.
In case of product data, use "product_*.csv " as a file name and source directory will remain same.
similarly do it for transaction data.
So by this way all 3 sender adapters will perform their job to pick the different files from same source directory.

  • Installation of forms reports and oracle application server 10g

    Hi,
I have been using client server till now, now planning to move to 10g. Got the developer suite 10g.
Tell me how and where to install forms/reports and Oracle application server... I mean forms reports should be on developer PC then what about application server? should it be on a different dedicated server? or can i have it on database server?
in case, if I install application server on one server and database is on another server then what about forms and reports?
please tell me which is the right option?

please tell me which is the right option?Ideally, you should have two separate server machines.
    One for the database server.
    One for the Application Server.
The Application Server is basically used for hosting your forms and reports, so you dont have to place the forms and reports on the developer PC or at any other server.

  • Documents on Application Server

We have an application which has lots of attachments. At present we have the document table on application server and one table in database, which connects to document table on the server.
My problem is we are running out of room on the app server, so I want to load the documents to file share server instead of Application server. Has antbody done that? How do I do that?
I would really appreciate the help.
    Thanks

I don't see any performance decrease by using the db to store the files (and I store many many doc in the db!). But OK if it's one of your requirements and you are aware of the implications of storing the file data away from the control data you need to find the file data, you can still use the sample. Just change the storing and reading the data from/to the db in storing and reading the data from/to the file system.
One problem you have to solve, if you don't want to upload the files (to the file system), is how to get the files to the server. You normally don't have access to the filesystem of the production server or can dictate where to store them. You have to make the access path to the files configurable so that the application can read the files from a path which can be altered by the admins how deploy the app and put the files somewhere on the server.
Keep in mind that such a solution will not scale very well. You have to guarantee that each cluster server can access the files in the file system.
