Applid tied to icloud account

I need to remove the icloud account that is tied to my apple id so I can create my own.  For somereason, my daughters is tied to my apple id, and it should only be tied to her apple ipod.  How do I fix this problem?  It will not just let me delete the accounts from my apple id.  And it will not let me creat a new icloud account with my apple id.

You can't detatch her iCloud account from your ID. The account is always permanently tied to the ID, together with its @icloud.com address.
As I assume that she has set up and is using an email address on the account then she cannot very well abandon it (she could manually transfer calendar and contact data to another iCloud account but not the address) then you don't really have a way out. Your only way forward would be to create a new ID and iCloud account for yourself and let her go on using the one she's using now if she it to keep that address.
Alternatively she will have to abandon the email address and create a new iCloud account with a new address (basically she shouldn't have used your ID to set the account so it seems fairer that she should lose the address than you lose the account). You would then take over the account and the address - you don't have to use it, you could set up an email alias as a new address for yourself.
Whatever you do there is no completely satisfactory solution: it's what happens when you get more than one person using the same ID.

  • Yahoo account tied to iCloud account is not receiving pushed emails but another Yahoo account does

3 days ago, I signed up for an email account through my previously established iCloud account which is tied to my Yahoo email address. Since then, I have not been receiving any Yahoo push notifications as I used to. This problem seems to be tied directly to the fact to my signing up for an iCloud email account. I say this because I set up another dummy Yahoo email account on my phone for testing purposes and it is receiving the Push Notifications without any problem.
Here are all of the steps I've taken so far without any sucess:
Removed my Yahoo account from my phone and restarted the phone and then re-added the Yahoo acount
    Reset my network settings
Changed my Apple ID (and iCloud account) to another email address besides my Yahoo account
Reset the phone and restored from a backup
Tried installing the 3rd party Yahoo app
Turned push notifications to off and set to manual, reset the phone and then turned it back to Push
Deleted all email accounts on my phone (iCloud, Gmail, Comcast, Yahoo) and restarted the phone and then added them back again
Removed the troublesome Yahoo account from my Macbook Pro and my iPad and restarted them and then re-added the account
None of those steps have seemed to help fix the issue. Also, it should be noted that my iCloud email address also has no problem receiving push notifications, only my original Yahoo email account seems to be having the problem.
I don't believe this is a hardware issue since I can receive push notifications on a different Yahoo email account. Not sure what steps I should take at this point.

How di I change my icloud account on my I phone 4?  I have checked and checked in settings.  My other devices are tied to another email/apple ID and I want them all to be the same.

You will need to delete that iCloud account on the device, then create a new one and login with the alternate AppleID.

  • Icloud - how to delete one of the iphones tied to the account

    Hello
On my icloud account my iphone 4 and my boyfriends iphone 4 are both tied to one account. We both just updated our software to the iOS 6.0 and now all of our contacts have merged. How can we unmerge them or how can I delete his phone from my account?
    thanks

Which app?  If it's one of the pre-installed Apple apps, just leave it unless you have a good reason.  These boards are riddled with questions from people who have deleted pre-installed apps only to find later that either it was something important that they needed or that they changed their minds and wanted it back again.  Leaving these apps will not impact the performance of your machine.

  • I have 2 iCloud accounts tied to 1 apple ID. Help?

To my knowledge I have two icloud accounts on one apple ID.  I had my email address [email protected] (fictitious) and when iCloud came around it automatically created my icloud email as [email protected] ... years later I changed my personal email address to [email protected] and somehow registered [email protected] but was not able to get rid of [email protected] The bizarre thing that I cannot make any sense of is that both [email protected] & [email protected] both seem to go to the same iCloud account (I only have 1 set up on my computer). I've tested this with emails incoming and outgoing, but when I try to login to iCloud via [email protected] it says the password is incorrect, and any password reset attempt via email does not get delivered o
I'd really just like to get rid of [email protected] if nothing else. Ideally, I'd like to disassociate both those emails with my Apple ID and create a new iCloud email that I actually have control over naming.
Any info on this would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    You're welcome.
Apple won't transfer existing purchases to a different ID and you don't really need to do this.  There is no requirement that your iTunes store account ID be the same as the ID you use for iCloud.  The easiest thing to do is leave the ID for your other services ace they are and just create a new ID for iCloud.
If you want to migrate your data to a new account, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iDevice and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted.  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.  You will have to recreate any notes in the new account.  When you turn Mail on in Settings>iCloud, you will be prompted to choose your new @icloud.com email address.  Be sure to type carefully as once created it can't be changed.
Once the data is in your new account, you can go to System Preferences>iCloud on your Mac, sign out, choose Delete at all of the prompts, then sign back in with the new ID.  The iCloud data will then download back to your Mac from the new account.

  • One itunes account.  2 devices with1 icloud account.  Want 2 icloud accounts

I have 1 itunes acct.  I have and iphone and an I pad both with the same icloud address.  I want the 2 devices to have separate icloud accounts.  How do I change the account on just one without removing the account from the other?

Create a new apple id here (a NEW one)
    https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/wa/createAppleId?loca lang=en_US
And use it on the iPad settings.  The iPad will lose access to contacts, emails, or calender events that were tied to the original apple ID.  Do the same for messages and iTunes on the iPad device.  All those areas are under settings.
Don't mess with the iPhone and it won't be impacted.

  • How can I move my iCloud account to another Apple ID?

I know it might be a long shot, but I have recently made a new iTunes/AppleID account, and want to move my iCloud account from my old account to the new one without it being tied to the old one in any way. Is there a way to do this?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can move data from one account to another, this can be done on a computer.

  • How to have one iCloud account linked to multiple apple ids

I am sorry if this has been asked before but my head is spinning at reading everything about iCloud and I haven't really found 1 discussion with my particular situation.
    This is what we have:
    iPhone - wife
    iPad - wife
    itouch x 3 - husband and kids
We have 4 family members and 3 different Apple ID's (husband and wife -1 ID, Kids each have their own)  All items are purchased on 1 mac but under different Apple ID's (the kids get their own iTunes cards for spending, that's why we kept seperate accounts). We all have access to each other's songs and app purchases (as we know each other's passwords) and have been freely able to add to each others devices.
So my question is: How do we all utilize ONE iCloud (say using my Apple ID as the main account ID) and then have the other 2 Apple ID's tied to the ONE iCloud account?  That way the kids can still purchase using their own $, same here for me, but then we all share the Songs/Apps as we did before.
I hope I'm making sense......essentially I think I'm trying to ask..... how do we continue to share apps and songs with iCloud while maintaining different Apple ID's...LOL
    Thanks

The bottom line is that you can't.  Apple IDs can't be merged, or shared, in any way at present.  There is a rumor that Apple is working on something, but it's not anything that you should rely on.  Purchases are tied to a single Apple ID and they can't be transferred to another Apple ID either.
I should note that you don't need to share passwords.  By simply creating separate iTunes libraries for each person, and authorizing the computer(s) for each account, you should all be able to use each others purchases and only be able to make purchases from your own account.

  • Apps and movies won't open under my old itunes msn id, but the newer iCloud id presents no problem. i've reset the phone a number of times. is there away to get all my previous purchases from my old account transfered to the newer iCloud account?

i now have three Apple Store accounts. The first was when I signed up for mobileMe ending in "me." The second ending in "msn" And now the third ending in,"icloud"
The first two seemed to be linked and i would get notifications to update even when i wasn't signed into that account. All the apps downloaded worked just fine on my Iphone4  whether they were downloaded using my iphone or whether they were downloaded from my macbook pro no matter which account they were downloaded from. Now since i started using icloud and after a number of restores my Apple id under "msn" downloads on the apps and my movies all purchased from itunes won't open up. All the other id's apps open up just fine. I've reinstalled itunes, deleted all the apps under the msn account and tried to redownload on both my iphone and my laptop but, no sucess.
I think the only way to get the apps that i've paid for previously is the see if itunes could move my previous purchases from one account, "msn", to my "icloud" account. has anyone else had a problem like this and how can I makethis happen?

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple - I've asked the hosts to remove your email addresses from your post (it's not a good idea to post personal info on any public forum).
Is the old account a completely different iTunes account, or is it just a previous primary email address on the same account ? If it's a different account then all content that you download from the store is tied to the account that downloaded it, so only that old account will be able to download updates to its apps.
If it's the same account, just a previous primary email address, then what id shows at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your phone ? You could try tapping on that and log out of it and then log back in with the updated version and see what id then shows for updates.

  • HT204053 My wife and I have one Apple ID through which we have individually purchased apps using our own iPads. We both now have our own iCloud accounts. How do we separate the original apps between the two iCloud accounts? Will we lose any apps in the pr

My wife and I have one Apple ID through which we have individually purchased apps for her iPad and my iPad 2. We both now have individual iCloud accounts, and she now has an iPhone. For business reasons we now have to separate the apps under our individual iCloud accounts, but will maintain a single Apple ID for purchases. How can we separate the apps?

    Hi Shadow,
The apps are forever tied to the Apple ID that they were purchased under. Your iCloud accounts are also Apple IDs, so although you can sync the apps to your individual device via iTunes, you will be syncing them to the devices, not to iCloud.
Since you are still purchasing everything under one Apple ID, then I'm presuming that they live in a single iTunes library on your computer or Mac? If that is the case, then you would just want to:
Hook up a device to the Mac or computer
Select the device when it shows up under devices
Once selected, the Device Profile screens display to the right - click on the Apps tab, and select which ones you want on that device.
Also check all the other profile pages to make sure they are set up to sync the things you want to sync to that device.
On the info page, you will see that you can sync Contacts & Calendars via iCloud or via iTunes. If you want a single source for contacts & calendars for both of your devices, sync them via iTunes. If you want your own sets of contacts & calendars, sync them via iCloud.
Do you have iCloud set up on the computer or Mac? If so, which iCloud account are you planning on using?
Some of the decisions you will want to make will depend on how you have your computer or Mac configured in conjunction with iTunes. One Apple ID, but one or two User Accounts for the computer or Mac? iCloud on the computer or Mac? What do you want to share and to not share?
    Post back with any questions.
    Cheers,

My girlfriend and I both have iTunes account with our own music libraries and we want to combine our two libraries into one icloude accounts so can both then access our one shared libary at anytime in the cloud.  How do we do this?

No it is not possible.  Content purchased from the iTunes Store is permanently tied to the account from which it was originally purchased, and Apple does not provide a way to change it.

  • HT204150 Sharing the same iTunes, Apple ID and iCloud accounts.

    Hi
My wife and I share the same Itunes , Apple Id and Icloud accounts.
How do we keep our contacts seperate, when we open up or back up on I cloud?
As we both have I phones, I would like to keep all my work contacts seperate from hers. Also I don't wish to have her contacts loaded on my phone and vice verser.
Will it mean the I will have to get a seperate apple ID and seperate Icloud account.
Problem is that all our music and photos are on the one Library, because we didn't have two Iphones before, it didn't matter.
We would like to keep the same Itunes library to access music and photos, but like to keep everything else seperate.
    Can you please help.
    Regards
    shervhall

You can continue to share the same ID for purchasing from the iTunes and App stores (your iTunes account/library), but you need to have separate iCloud accounts with separate IDs to prevent merged data such as contacts.  (You aren't required to use the same ID for purchasing as you do for other services such as iCloud, iMesage, FaceTime, etc.)  The only issue is that photo stream is tied to the iCloud account so when you separate your accounts, you will no longer be sharing the same photo stream.  You can still send each other shared photo streams in order to share each other's photos, but they wouldn't be part of the same photo stream.
To separate your iCloud accounts, on the device that will be changing accounts, go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.  When prompted choose to keep the data on the device.  (If you are syncing iWork documents with iCloud, also open your iWork apps and turn off iCloud syncing and choose to keep the documents on your device.)  After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud.  The device that will be keeping the existing account will not be effected by this.)  Next, set up a new iCloud account on this device using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On.  When prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to this new account.  At this point you will have two different iCloud accounts, one for each phone, with identical data on them.
You will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the unwanted data (such as deleting the other wife's contacts from your account, and vice versa).  These changes will be reflected on each phone.  When finished you will have individual iCloud accounts with just your own data on them.
To avoid getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls you also need to use separate IDs for iMessage and FaceTime.  To change the ID for iMessage on one of the devices, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign in with a separate ID (such as the new iCloud ID).  To change the ID for FaceTime on this device, do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.

  • HT4436 can I have multiple icloud accounts on one device

can I have multiple icoud accounts on one device (ipad)?

Are you sure only primary account can use Find my iPhone?
I added a secondary account to my daughters iphone and was able to use it for Find my iPhone.
It warns you that the Find my iphone service will be disabled on the other icloud account.
I think this is a good change so I can use a single account to track all the devices.
Looks like only photostream and documents/data are tied to the primary account.

  • My house has 3 iPhones all on the same apple Id and icloud account. I created another apple I'd to use just for myself and did an icloud backup. Does this backup store the music that was purchased through the apple id I use for the store?

So will icloud backup the music and apps I currently have then when I restore from backup put these songs and apps back on my phone?

Nope.  Your iCloud account has nothing to do with your ability to redownload previously purchased music.  It's tied to your Apple ID.  The only restriction is that once you download a previously purchase, enable iTunes Match on your device, or turn on Automatic Downloads in Settings>iTunes & App Stores, your device is then "associated" with the ID that you are using.  Once associated in this way, you cannot associate it with a different ID for 90 days.  This means, for example, that you can't download previously purchased music from one ID and then immediately change IDs and download music purchased with a different ID...you have to wait 90 days before you can change.
Also, as mentioned ealier, it doesn't matter if the music is on your phone, it isn't included in the backup.  You should be storing your purchased music and other media in your iTunes library; then you can sync it back whenever you want.  To transfer purchaed media to your iTuines library, connect your device to iTunes, then go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.

You can't buy another one.  You have to reuse one of the accounts previously set up on your phone, or create a new one to use on another iOS device (running iOS 5 or higher) or Mac (running OS X 10.7.2 or higher), if you have one.
