Apprehensive

I ordered SL but before I install it on my first gen Intel iMac, I want to ask about my software. I see a lot of problems mentioned here so I am even more apprehensive.
I use Photoshop CS2. I am a writer and I have tons of Appleworks WP files from past years. I now work in Word 2004 (though Appleworks is better.) Should I move them all to Word before I install SL?
I use Firefox most of the time. I have the latest version. Those are my main programs, does anyone know of any problem with any of them and Snow Leopard?
Apple does tend to forget that not everyone can afford to upgrade everything right away.

Robin, which Mac do you own? Some of the apps you mention are rather old and were written back in the days when Macs used PowerPC processors. Snow Leopard only runs on Macs with Intel processors.
Snow Leopard still has "Rosetta" support (Rosetta is an optional component that allows you to run old PowerPC applications on an Intel Mac) but it is not installed by default. You will need to use the "Customize..." button at the beginning of the Install process and make sure you tell it add Rosetta.
You can add it after-the-fact by clicking the "Optional Installs" folder, then double click the "Optional Installs.mpkg" icon -- this launches an installer that lets you add components you may have decided to skip during the initial install.
Photoshop CS2, Appleworks, and Word 2004 were all written for PowerPC and will require "Rosetta" in order to run.
As for affordability, OpenOffice.org is a free office suite that will work and has "fairly good but not perfect" compatibility with MS Office docs (I usually find it'll open anything but if the doc had fairly extensive formatting styles applied then things may not line up the way you'd expect and require some re-formatting.) It can open a lot of document formats, but I don't see Appleworks on the list (but then I don't even see Appleworks on the list when I check my iWork '08) -- you'll need to convert those. But it does run natively on Intel Macs (doesn't need Rosetta.) and the price is right.
That would basically leave you with Photoshop CS2. Adobe certainly isn't going to "support" CS2 -- it's too old. But I notice their upgrade pricing doesn't seem to care how old your version of Photoshop is... they seem to let you qualify for the upgrade pricing no matter how old your past version of Photoshop was... just so you had one.

  • I I made a PDF fie to preview, but am still apprehensive to actually order the book, as I have ordered some prints of photos after I thought i had them cropped correctly and prints returned with heads, half of bodies have a book formatted and ready to buy

I have formatted a photo book, but am apprehensive to push the "buy" button as I have ordered prints that I thought were cropped correctly, and they returned with heads cut off and half of bodies mising.  I have put the book on a PDF file as instucted, please reassure me that if everything looks right there, that is the way the book will look??

If the PDF looks good then the printed copy should be OK.  The only problem you might run into is the color rendering.  As long as none of your photos use the sRGB profile and not the Adobe RGB color profile the color should be fine.
On those prints that were cropped incorrectly: did you copy them to the print size ordered before uploading for printing? If not then they will be cropped by the printing equipment and you'll lose part of the top and bottom of the print (for landscape prints).

  • I see there is another ios update. I have an iPhone 4S. The last time I updated the ios I lost all my contacts, as I had not been using the iCloud as a backup. I am now apprehensive about the latest update. How can I determine if contacts are backed up?

I see there is another ios update. I have an iPhone 4S. The last time I updated the ios I lost all my contacts, as I had not been using the iCloud as a backup. I am now apprehensive about the latest update. How can I determine if contacts are backed up?

You should never lose contacts under any circumstances.
Although contacts are included with the iPhone's backup, contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer where such important data should be available with or without an iPhone or any cell phone. Not a good idea to depend on a cell phone for such important data which can be lost or stolen or damaged beyond repair.
In addition, there are a number of free email accounts that support syncing contacts over the air including an iCloud account, Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail.
If you are not syncing contacts over the air with an iCloud account and not backing up your iPhone wirelessly with your iCloud account, your iPhone's backup is being updated by iTunes on your computer which is updated as the first step during the iTunes sync process.
With Windoze, contacts can be synced with Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 along with syncing calendar events, notes, and reminders, or with the address book app used by Outlook Express and by Windows Mail called Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only. With a Mac, contacts can be synced with the Address Book app. This is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
If the supported address book app on your computer is not used and has no contacts available, before the first sync for this data enter one contact in the supported address book app on your computer. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select.

I appreciate the prompt response.  Having read several threads, you can appreciate why I would be hesistant to upgrade to the Lion.  All I basically use is Office for Mac and the other basic functions such as email/calendar/address/contacts...etc. I have read horror stories about peoples stuff dissapearing into cyberspace and obvi dont want that to happen.
That's all nonsense. Most people don't post anything if they don't have any problems. People who do have problems usually have very specific reasons for them that they have caused themselves.

  • I want to upgrade from Tiger to Snow Leopard...I'm apprehensive about Lion.

I've been hearing so many "glitch" anecdotes about Lion. Until these problems are resolved
I want to upgrade from Tiger to Snow Leopard but I'll be buying a new Apple computer to
    do that..
I presently have a a 10.4 iMAC with only 2.33 GB of memory and I'm getting a new puter
in order to have 4 GB. Is it recommended to use Lion with a new Apple computer or can I use
Snow Leopard without missing out on anything? Are the stories about Lion just the usual thing
that always happens with a new upgrade? Tiger has worked perfectly for me for 6 years but that
has been on computer that is 6 years old. (POWERPC) Does a new iMAC computer with intel
require the latest operating system to work at top efficiency? Is my apprehension about Lion
an over reaction to anecdotal info?

Some of this is answered best by knowing what model computers are involved. If you are truly getting a brand new (as opposed to a newer used) computer then it will likely come with Lion installed, unless there's some old stock (which even then would have Lion installed but could still run under Snow Leopard which you would have to buy separately).  Macs will normally only run the version system that comes installed, or newer, so if you are getting a brand new Mac you won't have any choice but to run Lion (or its successors). It won't run Snow Leopard unless it is a new used computer.
As for Lion stories, those would best be answered on the Lion forum. I still run Tiger which I why I'm on this forum.  There's always issues with any upgrade.  For me the biggest drawback to Lion is all my software is PPC generation and Lion stopped supporting PPC completely. If I got a brand new computer I would also have to upgrade all my software which could easily run to over a thousand dollars more.

  • Anyone else apprehensive about buying now?

I currently have an iBook G4, and I'm planning on buying a PowerBook this January. I love my little iBook, but it's got some problems (the battery life is seriously 10-15 minutes so I'm always locked to my power cord, and I can't view PDF docs no matter what I try.)
Anyway, I'm looking forward to a new spiffy computer, but I'm apprehensive because of the imminent Intel switch. Apple claims they'll support PC chip macs for several years, but that doesn't ease my fears.
I'm torn between buying "all the computer I can afford" (which I didn't do last time) and buying a computer I will think get me through the next 4 years or so. Anyone else share my concerns? What did you decide?

Erin, If you feel the need to wait, you will still be waiting this time next year as well.
Believe me there will not be a problem changing the chips to Intel.
If you are going to get a New Computer, just go out and get it.
Remember, Apple will always be upgrading and updating, as long as they are in buisness as will all computer manufactures..
This is known as Technology Advancment, and there is nothing any of us can do about that. We will never know WHEN or WHAT will be on the Horizon for changes, sometimes they will pre-announce but rarely.....Don

  • Apprehensions about CRM

    Hi Experts,
I am very new to SAP having 3+ years of only domain experience and have decided to shift to SAP and recently completed my SAP CRM Training.
I have few apprehensions on CRM modules. I chose CRM because it covers all almost all processes of Sales and Marketing and which is involved in my current job.
Is it advisable to also learn SD-Module after learning CRM?
Does industry prefer to chose a CRM consultant without any thorough knowledge on SD Module. Is it mandatory in the industry to learn SD module before you do CRM?
Appreciate your honest answers and suggestions if you have any.
    Thanks!
    Wregs,
    Zo.

    Hi Shantala,
Thats a better suggestion! Thanks!! I shall follow the same.
I have one more big question to add. Since I recently completed my training in CRM, to enhance my skills I want to do a project on what I have learnt. I have on my mind, my current company's structure and processes to work as a project as I know my company and my job well.
But I am unaware of the real-time implementation processes etc. and to be market equivalent , real-time knowledge is a must to crack the interview.
Hence could you kindly suggest how can I start my project work as per the real-time process. Could you also let me know what happens in real-time whenever a new project starts, could you suggest some documents  on the same focusing on CRM implementation on various industries.
And what do companies expect from a fresh consultant with domain knowledge?
    Appreciate your response.

  • Apprehensive about BT Infinity

Being almost in another galaxy as far as line length goes (1.9meg down) why I am dithering about signing up for Infinity? It is offering 30meg so it should be a no brainer! Well one thing is all the talk about the FUP. I doubt I will get anywhere near the 300gb (?) on option 2 but there are some interesting posts on the subject which bother me. Basically they, (BT) seem to be able to move the goalposts so to speak when they want and given that it is an 18mth contract, what is pretty good now could not be down the line.
Why can't I make my mind up - could it be 'cos it's BT?
Can someone please reassure me and convince me I should go for it.
Oh, and where is their helpdesk based should I need it?

I've had it since march. Was only quoted 15mb, but I get near enough the full speed (37mbps, with 8mbps up), always have. The engineer also said I always will I'm probably about 100-120m from the cabinet, that's as best I can work out on google maps as the cab is around the corner.
Also, if it helps, I was on 2.5mbps for years with bt, on the highest upto 8mb package, and then upto 20mb (when they moved to that). In the first few months I downloaded like a greedy sod, easily hitting 1tb every couple of months. It doesn't matter if they reduce the speed, because after midnight, or before 4pm ish.. your good to go. Never really known people to download p2p in the evenings anyway. Even then, p2p is throttle in the evening. So if you plan to p2p, then go for it, you will really run out of things to download!
Also, I've had no issues with speeds going up and down, no worrying about if the router knocks off in a powercut and your line speed will go down, none of that. It's set in stone by the engineer when you get it installed.

  • Apprehensive about installing

    Good evening,
I have just been given an ibook. I don't know a whole lot about it, or mac in general. However, so far i am loving mac. I do know enough to know that I need a newer operating system. It looks like the minimum os i can get by with is 10.4 (to get itunes 8.2 and iwork).
My question: I only have 11.85GB space available, I only have 384mb sdram and I have a few programs installed that I don't want to loose. They came with the computer and I don't have the reinstall disc. If I install the new os, will it integrate seamlessly, or will it wipe me clean?
    Thank you,
    ams

  • Apprehensive about upgrading 10.5.2 to 10.5.5!

Should I upgrade from OS 10.5.2 to 10.5.5? I just received my new iMac 2.88 GHz last Wednesday and it is my first time using Leopard. Am impressed by the new cleaner look (or maybe it's just because it's different).
Had a lot of problems with 10.4.11 on my old G4 upgraded Digital Audio. So don't want to be one who upgrades only because I can. Right now it seems that I have no problems at all so maybe I should just recall that old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it?"
Does this seem to be the general feeling here? I am using this computer for the usual stuff plus my main focus is Photoshop CS2/3/4......
thanks for your input, I value it highly.

Do the standard thing, get a bootable, external HD (preferably FireWire), and make a bootable backup/clone before upgrading and ensure that it's bootable and works like the original. That allows you to revert to the previous good state without having to reinstall anything. See these for details:

  • ITunes 10.6.3.25 is not syncing/freezes every time!

    Tech Stats:
    Windows 7 (32-bit) on a Toshiba Notebook
32GB iPod Touch - purchased in April 2012
    iTunes 10.6.3.25
I'm running iTunes 10.6.3.25 on Windows 7 (32-bit), trying to sync a 32GB iPod Touch. It detects the iPod and 'starts' the sync with the candy cane-striped bar, but then it freezes.
    It generally varies between:
    "Preparing to Sync"
    "Determining tracks to sync"
    "Backup"
    "Checking Downloads"
    "Waiting for sync to start"
"Waiting for changes to be applied"
before it freezes completely and/or won't do ANYTHING. I either have to Ctrl+Alt+Del to stop it (as it comes up 'Not Responding' in Windows Task Manager) or disconnect the iPod from the USB port altogether, whereupon iTunes starts to work again.
There is a VERY RARE occasion when it will start to sync music - 'Syncing music to "My iPod" (Step 5 of 5)', 'Copying 3 of 1233' - then freeze and show "Finishing sync" with the candy cane-striped bar moving for a LONG time, never stopping, and it's only synced a few songs (on one occasion, the max. number of synced songs was 33 out of over 1200). Space and capacity on the iPod is never an issue as I rarely have an iPod (any model) filled to capacity. I still have about 28GB of space left.
A couple of times while the candy cane bar is churning away, I've attempted to eject the iPod. Of course I was asked if I was sure I wanted to and I clicked 'yes', and it came up with a green scrolling bar that said 'Syncing iPod'. It kept scrolling forever with no end in sight. I ended up disconnecting the iPod.
I've tried each of these steps several times:
    Rebooting my laptop.
    Restarting iTunes.
    Resetting my iPod.
    Using different USB ports.
    Using different USB cables.
Re-installing 10.6.3.25 without uninstalling it - Downloading it from Apple and choosing the 'Repair' option.
    Using iTunes in Safe Mode.
Deleting and resetting sync history in iTunes.
    Wi-Fi Sync.
Uninstalling iTunes and going back to an old version (10.5.3.3) - still couldn't sync.
Uninstalling ALL iTunes components as per these instructions: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923.
    Re-installing 10.6.3.25.
My ABSOLUTE LAST, bottom-of-the-barrel option would be restoring my iPod completely. However, I AM apprehensive about doing this.
I've never had trouble with iTunes before. Only recently (10.6.3.25 and the version prior) did I have trouble syncing, where I connected the iPod and it took several clicks of the 'Sync' button before it would finish it completely without freezing or doing it 'piece-by-piece'. My Firewall settings have never had an impact on anything to do with iTunes.
I HAVE noticed, however, that every so often, my Anti-Virus program (McAfee) will come up with a red warning saying that my 'Real Time Scanning' has been turned off and that my computer is at risk. So I turn it back on again, but it doesn't make a difference to anything. Since I was infected with malware late last year, I don't want to risk getting something nasty again.
I DID, however, lose a few playlists from the current iTunes AND my iPod recently and got them back by following the instructions on this site: http://osxdaily.com/2010/12/07/itunes-playlists-disappeared-recover-missing-itun es-playlists/. I got my playlists back but then this whole drama started with not being able to sync at all.
I'm at my wit's end, I can't figure out what's going on and I don't know what to do next.
EVERYTHING else on the iPod is working flawlessly - games, apps, I even kept my iBooks! - but the problem with syncing is BEYOND me. I've been scouring the internet for days trying to find something that'll help me fix this problem but to no avail.
So please, PLEASE help me! I'm begging you, any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

    Hey thanks for replying.
    Here's what I did:
First I tried the Winsock reset in the Command prompt. Nothing changed.
Next, I tried the instructions on http://http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123. The only other program that came up on the 'Winsock Providers' tab on the program was 2 Windows Live applications, which I can do without. So I deleted all Windows Live Applications.
I did the Winsock reset in the Command Prompt again and rebooted my comp.
Unfortunately, nothing has changed. iTunes keeps freezing at various stages of the sync, then shows the candy cane-striped bar with either the words 'Finishing sync' or 'Cancelling sync', before showing the Apple logo.
Sometimes, iTunes gets to the syncing stage - "Copying # of ####" - where it will trudge through the first, second and third tracks before flashing "Copying 4 of ####" for a split second and I catch "Cancelling sync" briefly before the Apple logo appears.
Again, I've repeated the steps I mentioned in my previous post. Does ANYONE know when the new version of iTunes is set to be released?! This one is driving me INSANE, to say the least!!

  • BT can actually fix broadband faults! (no I'm not ...

Just had to post this for anyone to read who have encountered problems with BT Broadband. Its been put onto an old thread but incase your new or never saw it here it is.
Anyone else seen the flying pigs all covered in snow?
It's finally happened, after 14 months, hours upon hours spent on the phone to Broadband No Support India Division, emails back and for with moderators and BT, 4 engineer visits and 3 emails to the chairmans office my broadbands been fixed. Yes thats right its not a mistype my broadband has actually been fixed.
I did try the noise line test as recomended by another forum member but I had no noise on the line.
After my last attempt to email the chairmans office (that and the short but blunt voicemail message I left too) I had a call from a new person who works in the chairmans office. This lady couldn't have been more helpful. She'd actually looked into my account and problems dating back to the day I joined BT Broadband back in January 2009 and was shocked to see some of the crazy and down right ridiculous things I'd been told and had to put up with. I was even more shocked when she knew exactly what an external NTE was. She listed to what I had to say and the long long list of what I'd tried over the 14 months and how even with 2 replacement hubs sent out nothing changed. She decided that from what I'd described it was a faulty hub issue. I have to admit when I was told this I was a bit apprehensive and wasn't expecting anything new to actually happen. Wrong!
Instead of just winging me out a new bog standard Type A Hub 2.0 she sent me out a new Hub 2.0 Type B. She explained how it was made by a different manufacturer and how it had a different chipset in it and that there had been customers who had found it solved there problems. I was dubious but I agreed to having one to try. 2 days later it arrived. Looks exactly the same as the 3 other hub 2.0 I have had in the past. I set it all up, switched it on and hey presto it burst into life. When it did burst into life there was no annoying loud clicking noise like with the Type A hubs. I logged into the Hub Manager and it appears to be more user friendly and pretty quick. For some unknown reason all previous Hubs upon connection would start with an Actual Data Transfer Speed of 100 odd mbps then almost immediately this would decrease down to 54 mpbs. Right away its showing as being 130mbps.
Tried logging back into Hub Manager later on and I was astonished to see that the Actual Data Transfer Speed was still showing as being 130mbps. Then I looked at the connection speed of all joined PCs, Laptop and Netbook to find they were all at 100mbps. This is something which had never been achieved before. Now I started thinking is this actually going to work? Yes, it did. Using the internet now is quicker than its ever been. My download speed has increased from approx 6mb up to a now steady 7mb and the upload speed is slightly quicker too. The lovely lady from the chairmans office rang back a few times to see how things were going and apologised everytime for the way my broadband problems and the support lines have been of no help/use. I told her under no way was I ever ringing India again and she said hopefully next year it'll all be back in the UK. (Fingers crossed folks)
Its now been 13days, 2 hours, 17 minutes & 51 seconds since switching to the Hub 2.0 Type B and I've had no flashing orange lights, no disconnections and none of those annoying 'Theres a problem with your broadband messages' appearing on my monitor. This is unheard of. If I'm lucky may go for a week without frequent disconnects (it did happen in summer 2009) but certainly no longer than that.
Its both great and disgusting at the same time. Yes its great that I now have the broadband service I've been paying for but disgusting that its taken 14 months to get it. That and the fact that despite all the bull excuses and comments on how its the phone line inside and its the electrical interference and that its a fault with all my PCs, laptops and netbooks etc that it is in fact down to that bloomin Hub!
Compensation is being looked into and should be forthcoming. I do not want to curse it but if these great speeds/transfer rates remain and I continue to be able to use my Broadband without that blasted constant clicking noise, flashing orange broadband light and frequent disconnections (deep breath) I may stay with BT.
Thanks to everyone whos suggested or commented on things to try.
No disrespect to the Mods on here but I did contact yourselves numerous times on the old BT Forums and got nowhere. The usual thing was to be told a line test had been done, no faults found now ring BT Broadband helpline. In my case no it wasn't a line fault it was rubbish BT Hubs 2.0 type A fault!
All I can recommend for anyone whos sick to the back teeth ringing India and getting nowhere with there broadband problems try using Google and searching for BT Chairmans email address and fire an email to them with details of your problems/experiences.
     Good Luck

  • How to change the size of the web item text in WAD 7.0

    Dear All
I am quite new to WAD and I am having a problem with changing the font size of a web text item
I have searched already and someone suggested changing the Design property to  HEADER1 or HEADER2 etc and then I should be able to change the font / size.
I have done this but to no avail
I want to have large heading across the top of the web template
am I using the wrong web item ?
I know I can key the text directly into the web template and change the font from the menu bar  but I need it in an item as I want to export them through to PDF later
Would be grateful of any help
    thanks
    Sandra

Thank you all for your quick responses (I will award points once this is sorted)
On the information you have supplied this has opened up yet another new part of WAD that I have not experienced ...TAGs
Shubhranshu - I have done what you said but as I have never used tags I have just had a look around and found that I can insert Any Tag but not sure if I should be doing that.  If it is inert any tag , I chose FONT from the drop down and cbmAttributes defaulted into the custom tab for the class name but not sure what it wants in the Attributes and CSS Style tab, it won't accept what I am putting which is leading me to believe that I shouldn't be doing it that way.
Venkat - thanks for the links they will prove very useful.  I've had a look and although they talk alot about the XHTML code for tags they don't actually say how you do it in the editor - I would like to produce one that way first and then see the code it generates for it.  I'm a bit apprehensive with changing the code direct as I don't want to mess anything up.
    Thanks again for your help

  • ADC on domestic purchase of imported goods

    Hi Experts,
This is regarding the ADC applicable wherein if imported material in procured from domestic market.Dealer passes on CVD and ADC part to maufacturer at the time of purchase so to map this scenario i am following the instruction mentioned in the SAP NOTE 964190.
I have introduced JADC condition in MM pricing as per instruction. As per note we will refer JEXC condition as CVD condition and its value will go in excise duty GL account through TAXINN customizing setting
.*Now my query is what condition to be put in TAXINN to pass on value of JADC and where should i maintain GL code for ADC in the system*.
Kindly share if anybody has done configuration related to this scenario
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Vivek

    Hi George,
I am referring your mentioned notes, only apprehension is regarding condition type AED which in mentioned in SAP note as it should be activated in tax code.
This AED condition i am not able to find in TAXINN secondly its also not mentioned how to maintain this condition in the TAXINN.
    Seeking your advice on this
    Regards

  • Some keys still do not work on my Macbook Pro 13"

i have a 13" macbook pro running OS Mavericks
My laptop was on the bed and i found it with dog pee on the right side of the keyboard. i immediately cleaned the top of the keyboard and turned it upside down so liquid would come out. It was clean and the computer was still running so i thought everythings ok. i read 2 magazines and then tried to use my laptop again and noticed the keys were not functioning properly. i pressed several keys to test it and then turned it off. i lifted the laptop and noticed it was still wet underneath. i then felt liquid coming out of the right side. i turned the laptop on its right side so that i could force the liquid to come out. i pressed the power button and it didnt turn on. i attached the charger and noticed the battery was charging but the laptop would still not turn on. i opened the back casing. and saw liquid on top of battery, cd drive and hard drive. i wiped it and dried it with a hair drier. i also dried the keyboard but it would still not turn on.
i waited a few hours and went to the apple store. The service person immediately said the engineers would have to quote me for a new logic board and top case. all he did was stare at the logic board. there was a bit of corrosion but it was like small. i did not go through with the replacements since it would cost me $1330 just replacing and no service fee yet.
i went home and took out the battery, logic board and hard drive. i was able to clean underneath the keyboard which was still a bit sticky with dog pee. i wasn't able to remove the cd drive because the screws were so tight. i the reset the SMC and PRAM. The laptop started. When i was able to see the screen where it had different options like restoring and resetting preferences and something about drives i did not know what to do so i shut it down again. i still could not use the power button so i reset the SMC again. it is the only way to turn on my laptop. The laptop opened. The fan started and the screen showed the login grey screen. I noticed the keyboard was still not working. I could not login to my Admin account because it was password protected. i logged into guest. i went to system preferences and deleted my password for Admin So i could log in to my main account. All the while i was using the on screen keyboard to type which can be opened using keyboard preferences. I realized that my laptop was okay except for the keyboard.
I was able to login to my main account. However i noticed that i could not use my Wi-Fi. It had an error that said -- Wi-Fi: No hardware installed -- i then shut down the laptop once more and disconnected the wires attached to the logic board. i reset SMC again. i logged in my main Admin Account without password and it still showed Wifi hardware not installed. I went to System Preferences and connected the ethernet cable to my laptop. I followed instructions and set up my internet using a dsl connection. i typed my username and password still didnt work i typed my IP address, Subnet mask, Router, DNS server. I got the information from my iphone 4s which was using my current wifi. it still did not work. I kept trying to connect the ethernet restarting the procedures over and over again till suddenly the wifi started working out of the blue.
I then downloaded a remote keyboard app that allows me to use my iphone as a keyboard and trackpad so that i can use my laptop. After one day i can use almost all the letters on my laptops keyboard. however i still cannot use the function keys (except volume down), number keys, delete, enter, arrow keys and most of the punctuation keys do not work. fortunately the option and command keys work i noticed that the left side which i was able to clean from underneath is functioning properly while the right side is not. i also notice that the right side which was peed on has significantly lower back lighting than the left side. im wondering if there is anything else i havent done to fix this issue. pls help and thanks in advance
i will try to open the right side part from underneath to clean it but im apprehensive as i dont want to lose the current progress i have with the laptop.

your mac is not going to get better.  liquid damage usually gets worse over time.
