Appropriate permissions for the custom list

Recently
I have taken up SharePoint 2013 exam and I got bit confused for one of the question i.e.
Case Study: Consolidated Messenger
You are the lead architect developer and web administrator of SharePoint 2013 for your company.
Consolidated Messenger is a national company with hundreds of franchises
Consolidated Messenger sells franchises to franchisees. Franchisees have three user types
User and its Role
Franchise Manager- Response for managing the franchise
Franchise Employee- Responsible for managing accounts and setting pick-up and drop-off locations for couriers
Courier- Responsible for picking up and dropping off packages
You need to set appropriate permissions for the franchise employees
customer list and customer sub site access. What should you do?
A) Add franchise employees to the Members group in the CorporateSiteCollection site collection.
Break inheritance at the
franchisee sub site level.
Create a custom role definition at the
franchisee sub site level.
Add franchise employees to the custom role.
B)
Create a custom role definition in the CorporateSiteCollection site collection with the limited access to the customers list.
Add franchise employees to the custom role at the CorporateSiteCollection site collection
Break inheritance at the
sub site level.
Add franchise owners to the Owners group
at the
sub site level.
C)
Create a custom role definition in the CorporateSiteCollection site collection with the limited access to the customers list.
Add franchise employees to the custom role.
Add full inheritance of the role definition and permissions at the site level
D) Add franchise employees to the Visitors group in the CorporateSiteCollection site collection.
Break inheritance at the
franchisee sub site level.
Create a custom role definition at the
sub site level with Full Control permissions.
Add franchise employees to the custom role.
I feel that both options B and C are applicable but I couldn’t come to conclusion.
Please
share your opinion the same.

    I also deleted files in C:\Windows\Temp, but that didn't help, I still don't have a presenter add in icon in a ribbon, but under the new windows account I have presenter in a ribbon. 
    I am using Adobe Presenter 10, MS PowerPoint 2013 and Windows 7 Professional (Service Pack 1). On my "old" account I can see presenter in File, Options, Add-Ins as Inactive Application Add Ins. Every time I check it to be active, but all without result. So I prepare the slides on my account and go to another account for publishing. I'll be happy to resolve this problem.

  • Setting up records management for a custom list in SharePoint 2013

    In a workflow 2013, I am planing to 'declare a record' on a custom list. I am doing this since I do not want users to be able to change the custom list once the record is submitted to workflow 2013.
    There are options in record declarations settings that I am not certain what to set like what values are appropriate in 'declaration of records can be performed by'.
    Since I am my own administrator on my test SharePoint 2013 website, would you tell me what I can do at the administrator's site level to enable the 'mark a record and/or declare a record feature? Basically I would like to know what options to set for a custom
    list so the records can not be modified once the custom list has been submitted to the workflow.

  • Cannot remove description field after adding to the Custom List

    Hello,
    Applies To: SharePoint 2013
    Problem: We created a Custom List and added a Description column from "Add from existing site columns" link. Now we need to remove it and it seems to have been sealed. We are not able to delete it.
    There is no remove/delete link/button when we click on the field. Moreover in the Content Type it only shows Required, Optional, Hidden.
    Requirement: Need to remove this field from the Custom List. Incidentally we added two of the description fields. We need to remove both of them without deleting the list itself.

    FOR THIS SITE
    "Customer B" with tow business purpose

    I select the "customer 1" from customer field name I tab to other field bill to
    location it is coming by default as primary site customer "customer A"
    I OPEN THE LIST I SEE tow customer A AND B I SELECT 'B' AS bill to
    When I tab to the other ship to field in also I can see the tow customer " A" and "B" but in real
    setup I link the customer "B" WITH ONE SHIP TO ALSO CUSTOMER"B" WHY I CAN SEE
    ALL LOCATION FOR THE CUSTOMER EVEN IF I SELECT THE ONE BILL TO .
    WHAT THE BENIFIT FROM LINK CUSTOMER SHIP TO FIELD WITH BILL TO IF I CAN SEE ALL LISTS

    Expected Behavior:
    Once I link the ship to location with bill to location I must see when create sales order only the ship to location
    link with the specific bill to already specified

    This give the user entry ability to enter wrong data or give him the confusion any site I must enter

    That is expected behavior.
    You can see the all addresses of account in the list as long as the purpose condition is satisfied. Linking is only for defaulting and not for controlling. If you do not want to see you can create a different account for the B address.

    We want to have all users be able to get into the Training Catalog and self enroll. We have over 7,000 employees with no distribution list for all people. How do I set permissions for all employees to see the training catalog and self enroll?

    Ah, support strikes again. The Training catalog is not, and cannot be set to publicly viewable. This permission setting is only available to objects in the Content Library.
    If you go to the Training Tab and then Training Catalog you will see an option to Set Permissions for the Training Catalog. Select that and you will be able to add any individual or group from the list on the left to the list on the right to give them view permissions. There will be no "Make Publicly Viewable" option.
    If an individual is not listed in the right hand list (or a member of a group on the right hand list), then they will get the Not Authorized message.

    As I know rates for materials are stored in KONP... but how to connect this yable with pricelist...?

    this link you should be able to access this option from the Items tab. for this to work, the Analytics Processing Component needs to be running.

    Below are the main settings required to enable you to transfer Customer Master Data to SAP GTS. Please note that their is a difference between, Customer Master Record and Customer Master Data in terms of data and for GTS, we transfer Customer Master Data. Hence, below are the settings required:-
    In SAP ECC system:-
    Activate the change pointers for Customer Master Data apart from enabling basic connection settings.
    Schedule a job to run at regular intervals to transfer all the customer master data for the available change pointers to the SAP GTS system
      2.  In SAP GTS system:-
    Maintain the Mapping for ECC Customers to SAP GTS Business Partners in the General settings area of the SPRO in SAP GTS system
    Ensure that the Number range is maintained for those GTS  Business Partners.
    Also, some time you may be required to maintain the organisational structure to ensure full working.

    Hi,
    There are few how to guides on SDN which will give you a basic idea on script logic. Apart from this, you can refer to the help guide on help. sap.com.
    The templates might also effect the performance. The number of EVDRE functions, the number of expansion dimensions, the number of members on which expansion takes place will effect the performance. A complex formatting in the template will also effect.

    We do not have a license requirement for BeehiveOnline as this is a service provided by oracle for Oracle customers, partners etc. to allow them to work more efficiently with Oracle. It is not a system that the customer can control as the groups are maintained by the Oracle,contact.
    We rely on the normal terms and conditions that all users sign up to when they create an oracle.com website account.
    So in short - it is a free-to-use service licensed under the same agreement as the normal oracle.com websites acount.

  • What are the correct permissions for the Home folder?

    Since buying my first mac (G4 iMac) I've since bought 2 other macs & transferred my home folder from the older computer each time. Since then I've messed around with the permissions of the Home folder a few times to try share files & folders between my Windows PCs. So the permissions of the Home folder on all computers could be messed up a little.
    I want to set up permissions how they should be set up as default.
    I created another user account with admin priveliges & it looks like the Home folder should be set up as follows:
    Owner: 'my name'
    Access: Read & Write
    Group: admin or 'my name'
    Access: Read only
    Others: Read only
    And the sub folders (Documents, Pictures etc.) should be set up as follows:
    Owner: 'my name'
    Access: Read & Write
    Group: admin or 'my name'
    Access: No access
    Others: No accesss
    Is this correct, & if so shall I just set permissions on my Home folder exactly the same as the new account I set up?
    Or is there some way of resetting permissions for the Home folder?
    (I know repairing permissions with Disk Utility doesn't do this).

    Copy this portal personalization workset to a folder and add it to the role which the user has. The user with this role will be able to see the personalization link in the masthead iview.
