  • Purchased an App and it does not work. How can I get a refund for it.

I purchased an app for my son, for his ipad and it does not work. Halo Waypoint for $5.99. When you log in, it just starts loading then an message saying "Sign in Trouble, we couldn't sign you in to Xbox live. Your windows Live ID information is correct, but Xbox Live is unavailable. PLease try again later. We have been trying to for the past 4 days. Reading the reviews it appears that several people have the same problem. So how can we get our money back?

  • I have downloaded an app and it does not work

I downloaded two apps. They are both are the same application, on;y difference is that one is the 2.0 version and the other 3.0 version.
When I downloaded the 2.0 version I thought this was the latest version, but turns out there was another newer version. But I tried the 2.0 version first and this does not work on my mac. The application is Wondershare Data Recovery. It is not able to see any devices on my mac.
So tried the 3.0 version and again same problem, does not work, funny because after careful researching on what product to buy I decided to download the trial version and it works fine. Only thing is that I need to but the full version to successfully retrive my disappeared images from memeory card, from my camera phone.
anyway the point is, I have just wasted £95, and I would like this back, or at least the problem resolved. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    C

    Updated -
I only find the v3.0 in the UK Mac App Store (MAS). But on the developer's website I find two separate apps; Wondershare Data Recovery for Mac, which is v3.0 and Wondershare Data Recovery for iTunes, which is v2. Where did you buy Data Recovery for iTunes? I don't find it sold in either the MAS or the iTunes App Store.
Have you used the support link to the developer on the apps pane in the MAS? That is who Apple will direct you to contact.
Did you remove the trial version before downloading and installing the paid MAS version(s)?

  • HT204266 I downloaded an app and it does not show up as an icon to open the app. I went to download it again and it says "installed"

I downloaded an app from my Ipod touch and it does not show up as an icon to open the app.  I went to reinstall the app and it says "installed"  How do I find the app so I can use it?

Try using the Spotlight search on the iPod to try to find the app. It is likely that you just can't find it.

    Hi, Taterbug17.
I would recommend signing out of the iTunes Store on your iOS device and sign back in.  Here are the steps on how to process these steps.

  • Just upgraded to iOS5 on iPad. Music app and mail does not work properly.

Just upgraded iPad2 to iOS5. Music app does not work properly. When I select a song to play, it plays a different song. Sometimes, it just stops playing songs, other times, it shuffles songs.
    Not sure whats going on.
    Worked fine using iOS4.3.5.
Synced the iPad to iCloud. enabled mail. It shows under settings that the iCloud mail is setup, but the mail does not appear in the mail app. Not sure whats happening with these functions on iOS5.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

  • Mail.app and IMAP does not change message in server

    Hello all...
I'm having a strange problem with Mail.app.. I have a IMAP server that uses pine-imapd. I can login and read messages, but anything I do with the messages to not change the message status on the server... If I read a new message, it remains NEW on server, if I delete, it DO NOT delete form server, and so on.. There are cases that I keep receiving the same message over and over again, but actually there's only one message on the server... I used to use Linux with Evolution and everything works just fine, but with Mail.app on Leopard, I have this issue.. Anyone experienced the same thing and have solved it?
    THanks
    Carlos Barros

    Hello Neithan.
Assuming Preferences > Mailbox Behaviors > Move deleted messages to the Trash is ON, does having Store deleted messages on the server ON or OFF make a difference?
Does the problem persist if you take the account offline, then back online (e.g. by means of Mailbox > Go Offline/Online)?
Do you have any Mail plug-ins? In the Finder, go to each of the following folders (if they exist). What do you see there?
    /Library/InputManagers/
    /Library/Mail/Bundles/
    ~/Library/InputManagers/
    ~/Library/Mail/Bundles/
To make accurately reporting that information easier, open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal, type the following command (you can just copy it here and paste it in Terminal), and press <Return>. You can then copy the output of that command from Terminal and paste it in your reply to this post:
    ls -1 /Library/InputManagers /Library/Mail/Bundles ~/Library/InputManagers ~/Library/Mail/Bundles
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the folder path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the folder path there.

  • CC Not Showing All of My Apps AND CC Does Not Work Offline

First of all, CC shows in my menu bar (on my MBP) but it says I only have PS and Bridge. I am signed up via the 'photography program' so both PS and LR should show on the list -- but they don't.
I THINK both apps are updating but I am unsure of that. Both are functional. I can work with both PS and LR, no problems. Still, this leaves me wondering if LR will be continuing to update as new updates are available.
Second, I thought these apps are supposed to work even when I am not connected to the cloud. They do NOT. Am I wrong about that or is there something else to this?

    Hi Thlayle,
I'm tearing my hair out over something else but I saw your question and decided to pop in because part of the trouble is the way Adobe is writing these latest help pages. What I gathered looked at the link John gave you was to Uninstall the programs using Programs and Feature from the Control Panel. Now, this is me going with my gut here but after uninstalling everything, and I'd include the CC Manager with the rest, I'd reboot, download the manager and re-download the programs. Hopefully that will set 'em straight but if it doesn't then I'd go on to step two and so on.
Now - I may not be doing this exactly as written, but in my experience it would be my best shot to get it sorted. Hope you get it working!
    Cheers,
    Kath

  • HT204088 I had two Apple IDs so I picked the current one I want to use.  Then I try to into iTunes or buy an app and it does not recognize my "new" ID.  How do get the old ID deleted and get the most current recognized?

I had an Apple ID with an old email address and I tried to change it to a new ID.  When I try to go into anything requiring an Apple ID, I can't get in because my new ID is not recognized.  How do I get my new Apple ID recognized?

To change the iCloud ID on your device you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone when prompted, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.

  • TS1702 I purchased an app but it does not appear as an icon the only way to start my game is to go to the App Store and it appears and I have to click on open

I purchased an app and it does not appear as an icon on my IPad The only way to play the game is to go to the App Store and click on open( which is always opened)

Are your home screens completely full? Is the app buried in a folder? Can you access it from the Spotlight Search feature.
Try quitting the app completely, reboot the iPad and then see if the icon shows up.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
