AR Credit Memo Serial No. Selection Problem.
Dear all
I am facing one problem in ar credit memo, when iam trying to do an AR credit memo for ARinvoice which have items with serial no., while adding the AR Credit memo the serial no selection window apperas and i selected the serial no and moved inward , updated and given add again the AR credit memo throughs again that serial no selection Window.
wat will be the problem i am not able trace it out. Normally if u once select and if we made inward the serial no then AR Credit memo will add but now its not happening.

Dear Giri,
I would suggest you to check if there is a difference between the quantity in stock and the serial numbers available. If the item is managed by serial number on every transaction no discrepancies should be found.
Also, read notes n. 1289721, 1281131, 1279267 and 1289794.
Please, also consider that up to version 2005a sp01 pl 18 it was possible to switch on and off the option managed by serial number.
Please, if a note or the above scenario describe the situation in your database open a message.

MIRO - Credit Memo- Unable to match
Hi Gurus,
One of our supplier issued a credit memo which relates to two POs. One is a return PO(credit note) and other a normal PO. Vendor has issued credit note with Net figure. Both POs are not related.
Normal PO ( GR) 100
Return PO(GR) (-200)
Credit note from vendor (-100).
When we MIRO(credit memo) selecting the two POs to match against the credit note, system does not pick the normal PO and hence we are unable to match and clear.

UmangI face the same problem. Maybe you can use Vendor code to match the invoice and credit memo.
We use Vendor code to match items.
My problem is the invoice and credit memo is in different period.
example:
credit memo - PO GR date is in 2014.10.10.
invoice-PO GR date is in 2014.11.09.
our accountants using the GR date to select the items, maybe in NOV,they set the date between NOV. 01 to 30 . The credit memo cannot be select. They insist on the period they set.
How can i select all credit memo ,and set limit to invoice?

A/R credit memo for closed A/r Invoice
Hi Guru's,
Our Client want to make an A/R credit memo for closed A/R Invoice (i.e) payment is already received for that A/R Invoice.
But in such scenario, the he is not able to get the referce of the A/R invoice as it closed... so he makes the stand alone Goods Return , Excise & A/R Credit Memo.
But the problem in this stand alone scenario is that the system treat such case as purchase scenario and hit the repective account of VAT and excise which is very incorrect.
e.g
Instead of hitting - VAT payable account for debit
its hitting - VAT input account for debit
So please help me in this matter and give the solution as soon as possible ....its urgent.

Create a new tax code and in that tax code create
vat code with its A/P G/L account is same as A/R G/L account,Similary you repeat it for ed,cs,hcs also.
1. Change Posting period if required.
2.Reverse incoming payment entry.
3.Do A/R credit memo base on A/R invoice with new tax code.
Incoming excise invoice will be created automatically
in background.
Incoming excise invoice journal entries will be hit as in
sales scenario.

Deleting credit memo request is not possible - why?
I cannot delete a credit memo request after cancelling a credit memo because system says there are subsequent documents created for this.
But this is not the case of our regular order - dly - bililng scenario, one can cancel the invoice, reverse the delivery, delete the delivery and delete the sales order at last.
My question here is, why does system allow us to reverse everything and delete in our regular sales - billing scenario and NOT in credit memo requests?

Last week even i encountered the same situation.
You cannot delete a Credit memo request. Instead you have to reject all the line items in Credit memo request.
Make sure you have cancelled all the credit memo created in reference to teh Credit memo request. After all teh credit memo have been cancelled. Go to credit memo request and select all the line items in the Credit memo request and reject the line items.
A pop up will appear select any of the reason and save the document. The credit memo request will be cancelled.
You can see the difference in the Status of the credit memo request before cancellation and after cancellation.
Before cancellation the status will be displayed as OPEN after cancelling the Credit memo request status will be blank.

Credit Memo and AR Invoice Query
Hi Everyone,
I'm fairly new to query writing and need to write a query that would list all of the credit memos and invoices. I was able to write the following query that pulls just the AR Invoice info. How do I also pull the AR Credit Memo info?

When using the generator it does not link the tables together in any fashion. I tried to just add the ORIN and RIN1 tables to it (as I can just have them listed below the invoices), but SAP appears to just lock up and I end up closing the application.
I searched the forum as well and found that there is a link between the two and it is:
RIN1.BaseEntry = OINV.DocEntry
and
INV1.TrgetEntry = ORIN.DocEntry
However, when I try to add these joins to the query, it ends up showing a credit memo for every single line, and I know that is not correct. I know there are different types of joins, so perhaps I'm using the wrong join or something?

Dear Friends,
this issue is for my client which is in Retail Industry.
In sales when customer is buying items of Price 1000 and want's adjustment of Credit Memo Of Price 700 in this Invoice we have to do the following process :
1) Change The Payment Terms Immediate To Another like Net 30 (Because there is a default payment terms Immediate for all customer)
2) Add that invoice of Price 1000.
3) Open Incoming Payment-->Select Customer-->Select Credit Memo of 700-->Select that price 1000 invoice and collect remaining payment by payment means.
But this process is difficult to follow in Retail Industry. In all cases they collect the payment by Payment Means in A/R Invoice because there is a Payment Terms Immediate for all customers.
Is there any process by which we can select the credit memo like process in which we use for advance payment ?
or any other way to simplify this process ?Hi Swapnil Vichare...
Create a credit Note 1st , then make a invoice with the credit note amount open.. and using the reconcilation you need to reconcile all the trascation...
No other possible ways, but using sdk you can develop..

Status update of Credit Memo Request
Hello,
The processing status in the credit memo request is not updating as "Fully invoiced" even after the credit memo is created. Due to this I am able to repeatedly create credit memo against this same credit memo request.
The problem as i understand is that in the credit memo request > header data > status tab > Bill.stat.order-rel. field is still showing "Not invoiced". But it is suppose to show "Fully invoiced".
Can anybody let me know where is the setting to control the status update of the credit memo request.

ShankarIN the customising for the item category, Check the billing relevance is C or not.Normally the completion rule is left blank. If not use this field, This is used for completion from quotations to orders but works as effectively as for other order types as well.

Hello ALl,
I have credit memo created, user want me to delete whole process. So i have canceled the credit memo.
And i have rejected the credit memo request but still my items are still has status of open?? And my over all document is has open status.
And it is the same for the debit memo request??
Can any one tell me how can i delete the whole process??

I have tried the same scenario.Kindly follow the below steps and confirm.
1. Once you cancel the subsequent documents.
2. Goto the Credit memo request and select the Item data enter the Reason for rejection in Sales A Tab and Save.
3 . Create the billing document and the value will be zero.
Now status will be shown as completed.

Credit Memo from Retro Billing

Scenario:
I have created a credit memo from retro-billing due to price drop, and released the credit memo to accounting.
Problem:
When we look at the accounting document of the credit memo it doesn't have a controlling document and profitability analysis.
I have simulated the document at KE4ST, and here is the error message I got
Document is not profit-related and thus could not be transferred
Message no. KF755
Diagnosis
Sales document was not transferred to Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) because it is not relevant for the analyses in CO-PA. This can be due to one of the following reasons (among others):
The document type is not profit-related, such as an inquiry
The sales document shows zero for the quantity
The sales document has been denied
The sales document is locked due to credit reasons
Please anyone give me an idea on how can I resolve this..

Is your Asset was capitalised through a purchase order? then go to MIRO and choose Credit Memo in transaction selection instead of invoice on the top left corner of the screen. (please try this, i am not sure, whether it works)
Otherwise go to tranasction FB65 for posting credir memo to your vendor, there credit the GL Ordinary dep exp GL account for an amount, which you have received as discount from vendor, so by posting this credit memo your ordinary depreciation exp account will be reduced by this discount received amount.

Problem linking A/R invoice table INV1 and Credit memo table RIN1

I have developed a sales report by picking data from the A/R invoice table INV1, BP partner table OCRD and Charts of accounts table OACT and the report is working fine. The only problem is I am having a challenge linking the above tables with the A/R Credit memo table RIN1. I want the linkage that is in case an A/R invoice is cancelled by raising an A/R credit memo, the same is not reflected on the sales report, kindly help.

Sorry, I did both the report and relationships in crystal but if I do a query in a view it is something like

Lockbox - credit memo w/ref to invoice selected when paying invoice only
Hello Experts,
We are implementing automation of lockbox and have encoutntered issues when paying invoices - create credit memos inreference to invoice are also selected which casues the payment to go "On account" as opposed to "Applied"
E.x WE have Invoice# 123 for $100.00. We created a credit memo# 312 w/ref to invoice 123 (XBLNR for credit memo = 123) for $20.00.
The customer is now paying invoice 123 for $100.00 and our business process is to refund the cusotmer later for $20.00 for which he received a credit.
In FLBP, when we process the payment, the status is "On Account" becasue the open item total to $80.00 ($100.00 - $20.00).
Has anybody encountered a similar issue? Any thoughts on how to address this?

LeelaIt was a problem with the payment advice. The Payment amount field needed to be filled for the program to pick only the invoice.

Credit memo request problem using
Dear All,
I am creating credit memo request using SD_SALESDOCUMENT_CREATE, I am facing problems in this
1> Quatity field is empty in the SO(TARGET_QTY)
2> The credit memo is always being created with negative value, which should not be the case
Note: I am passing manual condition type in condition type where calculation type is B(fixed value).
Can anyone suggest me why is it creating Credit memo request with (-)ve value always.

I get the error 'Document 9992222 doesn't have document category but '.
Message is V2 068 . It space before and after but.
I have passed the document category as 'M', in the header data.
