ARE-1s for exports under bond.
Prerequisites
You have an excise bond from the government and have entered it in the system.
You have received a sales order from a customer located abroad. In the R/3 System, you have already created the delivery and the outgoing excise invoice. In the excise invoice, you have set the excise invoice type to Export Under Bond.
Process Flow
The excise clerk creates an ARE-1.
He then calls the local excise department and asks them to send an excise officer to check the goods.
The excise officer comes and checks that the goods match what is on the ARE-1. He fills out Part A of the form (Certification by the Central Excise Office).
The clerk then posts the ARE-1 and prints out the requisite number of copies.
The excise officer signs the ARE-1s and takes one copy with him.
The shipping department sends the goods to be exported, together with the excise invoice and the ARE-1.
Before the goods can leave the country, they have to go through the customs office, for example, at the airport or at the port.
When the goods arrive at customs, the customs officer checks whether the excise invoice and the ARE-1 match the goods.
If he finds that there are fewer goods than stated on the ARE-1, he enters the shortfall in the ARE-1.
He then fills out Part B of the ARE-1 (Certification by the Customs Officer) and sends it back to the excise clerk. One of the copies is in a sealed envelope.
When the excise clerk receives the ARE-1, he updates the ARE-1 in the R/3 System.
He fills out the various certification dates in the ARE-1 (for example, the date when the ARE-1 arrived back at your company).
If the customs officer noted a shortfall in the quantity of goods, the excise clerk enters the shortfall as well. Since the whereabouts of the missing goods cannot be accounted for, they no longer qualify for exemption from excise duty. Your company is therefore liable for the excise duty on the shortfall, plus interest, backdated to the date when you removed the goods from your premises. The clerk specifies which excise registers to pay the excise duty from.
The clerk sends the ARE-1 in the sealed envelope to the excise department.
The excise officer cross-checks this copy of the ARE-1 with his own copy. When he is satisfied that everything is correct, he sends the excise clerk a final confirmation.
When the excise clerk receives the confirmation, he closes the ARE-1.
The process is now complete.
Creation of ARE 1 Form:
You create an ARE-1 when you want to export goods under bond.
Procedure
From the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Indirect Taxes ® Sales/Outbound Movements ® Exports Under Excise Regulations ® Exports ® Central Processing ® Create ARE-1.
In the top line:
Select Create ARE-1.
Select Outgoing Excise Invoice.
Enter the excise invoice that the ARE-1 is for and choose .
If the ARE-1 is to cover more than one excise invoice, repeat step (c) for each of them.
Assign an excise bond to the ARE-1.
On the Addresses tab, enter the addresses of your local excise department and the customs department that will process the ARE-1.
Their addresses will be printed on the ARE-1. For more information, see Automatic Address Determination.
On the Additional Data tab, maintain any long texts required in the ARE-1.
This information will be printed on the ARE-1. For more information, see Long Texts.
On the Package Details tab, enter any relevant information about how the goods are packaged.
This information will also be printed on the ARE-1.
Save the ARE-1.
When you create an ARE-1, you must specify which bond covers it. You can change the bond until such time as you post the ARE-1.
Prerequisites
You have obtained an excise bond from the excise department and you have entered in the system.
Procedure
On the Bond/UT-1 Detail tab, enter the number of the excise bond that you want to cover the ARE-1 and the year in which it was issued.
Choose .
The system displays the bond details.
When you have created an ARE-1 and the excise officer has confirmed that all the details are correct, you can post the ARE-1.
You can still make any changes that you need to before you post it.
Procedure
From the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Indirect Taxes ® Sales/Outbound Movements ® Exports Under Excise Regulations ® Exports ® Central Processing ® Post ARE-1.
In the top line:
Select Post.
Select ARE-1 Internal Document.
Enter the internal ARE-1 number and fiscal year and choose .
On the Certification Dates tab, enter the date and time that the goods are being dispatched.
Save the ARE-1.

  • Please explain what are form groups and form routines

    Hello ABAP Experts,
Could you please explain what are form groups and form routines? I would certainly appreciate some examples.
    Thank you in advance, Aleksandra

    Hi,
I've found the Form Group in transaction J7LE. It is part of Industry Specific solution for hi tech companies, so I'm not sure if you'll be able to access it. In this tcode you define master data of your partner. The first step is to choose the Form Group - they simply group Form Routines. Depending on which one I choose, different entry fields get activated. However there are routines that will enable input to the same fields, so I suppose there must be some additional functionality behind it. Could you please specify what does it mean?
    >>Form ROUTINES, are subroutines for modularizing your code<<
I'm afraid I have no ABAP experience at all...
    Cheers, A.

  • What is International business Division related bond licences, ARE forms?

What is International business Division related bond licences, ARE forms?

    Hi Goutam
In International Business, to encourage the exporters, Government of India have introduced various incentive schemes to bring more revenue to country.  Listing a few for your information.
<b>1)  Duty Entitlement Pass Book Scheme
    </b>
Duty Entitlement Pass Book Scheme (DEPB Scheme)- The scheme is easy to administer and more transparent. The scheme is similar to Cenvat credit scheme. The exporter gets credit when he exports the goods. The credit is on basis of rates prescribed. This credit can be utilised for payment of customs duty on imported goods.
The objective of the scheme is to neutralise incidence of customs duty on the import content of export product. The neutralisation shall be provided by way of grant of duty credit against the export product.
Exports under DEPB scheme are allowed only when DEPB rate for the concerned export product is finalised.
Under this scheme, exporters will be granted duty credit on the basis of notified entitlement rates. The entitlement rates will be notified by DGFT. The entitlement rates will be a % of FOB.  The entitlement rate will be fixed on basis of SION (Standard Input Output Norms) and deemed import content. Value addition achieved in export product will also be taken into account.  Supplies made to unit in SEZ are also entitled to DEPB.  DEPB is issued only on post-exportation basis. Excise duty paid in cash on inputs will be eligible for brand rate of duty drawback.
<b>2)  Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) scheme
    </b>
EPCG scheme - Under Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) scheme, a licence holder can import capital goods (i.e. plant, machinery, equipment, components and spare parts of the machinery) at concessional rate of customs duty of 5% and without CVD and special duty. Computer software systems are also eligible. Import of spares of capital goods is permitted, without any limit. Jigs, fixtures, dies, moulds will be allowed to the extent of 100% of CIF value of licence. Spares for existing plant and machinery can also be imported. Second hand capital goods upto 10 year old can also be imported under EPCG scheme.
EPCG authorisation is issued with validity period of 24 months
    <b>3)  Advance License</b>
An advance licence is granted for the import of inputs without payment of basic customs duty. Such licences shall be issued in accordance with the policy and procedure in force on the date of issue of the licence and shall be subject to the fulfillment of a time-bound export obligation, and value addition as maybe specified. Advance licences maybe either value based or quantity based.
As per the latest amendments to the EXIM Policy, the facility of Back to Back Inland Letter of Credit has been introduced, to enable an Advance Licence holder to source his inputs from domestic suppliers.
    Value based advance license
Under a value based advance licence, any of the inputs specified in the licence maybe imported within the total CIF value indicated for those inputs, except inputs specified as sensitive items.
Under a value based advance licence, both the quantity and the FOB value of the exports to be achieved shall be specified. It shall be obligatory on the part of the licence holder to achieve both the quantity and FOB value of the exports specified in the licence.
    <b>4)  Drawback
    </b>
Drawback is allowable if any manufacture, process or any operation is carried out in India [section 75(1) of Customs Act]. Thus, drawback is available not only on manufacture, but also on processing and job work, where goods may not change its identity and no ‘manufacture’ has taken place.
Type of Drawback Rates – All Industry Drawback rates are fixed by Directorate of Drawback, Dept. of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India, Jeevan Deep, Parliament Street, New Delhi - 110 001. The rates are periodically revised - normally on 1st June every year. Data from industry is collected for this purpose. The types of rates are as follows :
<b>All Industry Rate</b> - This rate is fixed under rule 3 of Drawback Rules by considering average quantity and value of each class of inputs imported or manufactured in India. Average amount of duties paid is considered. These rates are fixed for broad categories of products. The rates include drawback on packing materials. Normally, the rates are revised every year from 1st June, i.e. after considering the impact of budget, which is presented in February every year. All Industry drawback rate is not fixed if the rate is less than 1% of FOB Value, unless the drawback claim per shipment exceeds Rs 500.
The AIR (All Industry Rate) is usually fixed as % of FOB price of export products. However, in respect of many export products, duty drawback cap (ceiling) has been prescribed, so that even if an exporter gets high price, his duty drawback eligibility does not go above the ceiling prescribed.
<b>Brand Rate</b>  - It is possible to fix All Industry Rate only for some standard products. It cannot be fixed for special type of products. In such cases, brand rate is fixed under rule 6. The manufacturer has to submit application with all details to Commissioner, Central Excise. Such application must be made within 60 days of export. This period can be extended by Central Government by further 30 days. Further extension can be granted even upto one year in if delay was due to abnormal situations as explained in MF(DR) circular No. 82/98-Cus dated 29-10-1998.
<b>Special Brand Rate</b> - All Industry rate is fixed on average basis. Thus, a particular manufacturer may find that the actual duty paid on inputs is higher than All Industry Rate fixed for his product. In such case, he can apply under rule 7 of Drawback Rules for fixation of Special Brand Rate, within 30 days from export. The conditions of eligibility are (a) the all Industry rate fixed should be less than 80% of the duties paid by him (b) rate should not be less than 1% of FOB value of product except when amount of drawback per shipment is more than Rs. 500 (c) export value is not less than the value of imported material used in them - i.e. there should not be ‘negative value addition’.
    <b>5)  ARE Forms
    </b>
Any goods manufactured in India and exported, means the rebate of duty or tax, as the case may be, chargeable on any imported materials or excisable materials used or taxable services used as input services in the manufacture of such goods. To account all these transactions, Central Excise have asked the manufacturers to submit various forms depending upon their business.  ARE form is mainly used for exports for claiming excise duty either by Letter of Undertaking, Bond or Rebate.
Last but not least, unfortunately, in SAP, but for excise, none of the issues are addressed.
Hope this information would suffice.  Reward if this helps you.
    Thanks
    G. Lakshmipathi

  • Installing WorkFlow with ARES, Form Manager and Forms

    Hi All,
I'm having issues when trying to install WorkFlow with ARES, Form Manager and Forms.
    I've followed these steps:
    1. Installed Forms v. 7.1
    2. Installed Form Manager v. 7.0.1
    3. Installed ARES v. 7.0 (using a trust directory with a keyfile, etc.)
    4. Installed Workflow v. 7.0.1 with Turnkey option checked.
    5. Ran configuration manager.
The progress gets to 12% then displays the error code "LCMerror101" with the message "Livecycle module pdfagent-client could not be copied to working directory".
I don't know what this error means, can someone help me?? I know the issue isn't related to disk space (20+ gigs free) and I'm using the administrator account to install. Any suggestions or tidbits of info would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Are form responses removed from Adobe server when deleted by user?

This is a server security question; when form responses are exported to excel, and then deleted from the workspace, do they remain on the Adobe server or are they gone?  I need to know this to know the level of security that is applied to the server to determine if we can use Adobe with sensitive information. I understand forms are encrypted when responses are returned, but what happens to the information that is on the server?

  • Are Forms and Reports used in eBusiness Suite?

I am new to eBusiness Suite. I have a myth about whether eBusiness Suite is all written by Oracle Forms and Reports. If yes, are these Forms and Reports source code supplied to the customer for customisation?
    Any help is welcome.

    Hi,
The EBusiness Suite combination of forms/reports/jsp.
the forms/reports are module specific. Each module having its own forms and reports. With standard installation of Ebusiness suite you will get standard forms and reports. on demand requirement the reports/forms will change in display.
the binary forms with extention of .fmb,
    reports with extention of .rdf

  • Are Forms Possible With Pages?

I want to create a template in Pages that basically acts like a form (similar to a job application form). However, while using the template, I want to be able to leap from field to field by using a keystroke as opposed to using the mouse.
MS Word has a similar feature wherein you press the <TAB> key to jump to the next field.
This is a real time saver when you are entering in data on a form with lots of field (i.e. Name, Address, Soc Sec, etc.). Any help on this will be appreciated!

As far as I know, the only way to do that is to use a table.

  • What are forms, interfaces, conversions and enhancements?

    Hello Experts,
Please enlighten me on what are those terms. Any examples would be highly appreciated. Thanks guys and take care!

    hi ,
    Forms :
    1. They r Client Independent.
    2. It contains more than one main window.
    3. Multiple layout is possible in smart form.
    4. Colors can be given in script form.
    5. Function modules can be generated automatically.
    6. background is possible.
    coming up to an Interface:
Interface is a system or a device that is used to connect two unrelated or non-understanding entities.
This definition to an interface could be the key to your answer.
As you might already know, Interface does not provide any implementation but just defines a set of protocols that can be implemented by any class.
Let us consider a few examples...
You and the bicycle. Both of you are not related in anyway. But you want to ride the bicycle. How do you interact with the bicycle? You do it via the pedal which is an interface between you and the bicycle.
You could extend this concept to 'You' and the 'Television' where the interface is a remote control.
    conversions :
SAP provides a conversion for SAPscript documents to SMARTforms.
This is basically a function module, called FB_MIGRATE_FORM. You can  start this function module by hand (via SE37), or create a small ABAP which migrates all SAPscript forms automatically.
You can also do this one-by-one in transaction SMARTFORMS, under
    Utilities -> Migrate SAPscript form.
You could also write a small batch program calling transaction SMARTFORMS and running the migration tool.
    Enhancements :
CMOD is the Project Management of SAP Enhancements (i.e., SMOD Enhancements). SMOD contains the actual enhancements and CMOD is the grouping of those SMOD enhancements.
User exits (Function module exits) are exits developed by SAP. The exit is implementerd as a call to a function module. The code for the function module is written by the developer. You are not writing the code directly in the function module, but in the include that is implemented in the function module.
The naming standard of function modules for function module exits is:
    EXIT_<program name><3 digit suffix>
The call to a functionmodule exit is implemented as:
    CALL CUSTOMER.-FUNCTION <3 digit suffix>
    For Example:
The program for transaction VA01 Create salesorder is SAPMV45A
    1. If you search for CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION program SAPMV45A you will find ( Among other user exits):
    CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '003'
      exporting
        xvbak   = vbak
        xvbuk   = vbuk
        xkomk   = tkomk
      importing
        lvf_subrc = lvf_subrc
      tables
        xvbfa = xvbfa
        xvbap = xvbap
        xvbup = xvbup.
The exit calls function module EXIT_SAPMV45A_003
    2. How to find user exits
Display the program where you are searching for and exit and search for CALL CUSTOMER-EXIT
If you know the Exit name, go to transaction CMOD. Choose menu Utillities->SAP Enhancements.
Enter the exit name and press enter.
You will now come to a screen that shows the function module exits for the exit.
or use this ABAP program to search for user exits :-
Finding the user-exits of a SAP transaction code
    3. Using Project management of SAP Enhancements
You want to create a project to enhance transaction VA01
    - Go to transaction CMOD
    - Create a project called ZVA01
    - Choose the Enhancement assign radio button and press the Change button
In the first column enter V45A0002 Predefine sold-to party in sales document . Note that an enhancement can only be used for 1 project. If the enhancement is allready in use, and error message will be displayed
    - Press Save
    - Press Components. You can now see that enhancement uses user exit EXIT_SAPMV45A_002.
    - Double Click on the exit.
Now the function module is displayed. Double click on include ZXVVAU04 in the function module
Insert the following code into the include: E_KUNNR = '2155'.
Activate the include program. Go back to CMOD and activate the project.
Goto transaction VA01 and create a salesorder. Note that Sold-to-party now automatically is "2155"
if u find tht its an helpful answer dont forget to reward points for it.
    with regards,
    madhuri

  • Why are forms with calculations so slow?

I am using a form with a number of dynamic fields. After entering a value, it takes over 30s to update and allow me to enter the next value. This delay is present even when filling in fields that are used in calculations.
The delay is present even when filling fields that are NOT used in calculations.

    Christopher,
I will agree with other posters that, in the absence of any need to make "cross-platform" transfers, it would be better to format the drives as HFS+ (Mac OS Extended) before you use them.
I don't think, however, that this will have any effect on transfer speeds (it might, but I don't think so). If you purchased these drives as USB2 devices, then they undoubtedly use a USB2 interface. The drive itself, however, might deliver slower performance. In other words, the "bottleneck" wouldn't be the bus speed, but the drive's ability to record data. This would be similar to the difference between 5400 RPM and 7200 RPM drives, both connected to the same bus. A faster drive will deliver faster speeds over that same bus, and the Key drive you have might be very slow.
It might be a case of getting what you pay for. Were these relatively inexpensive drives? Perhaps a more expensive, well-known brand name drive would perform better.

  • Are Forms Builder and Reports available as Web Application?

We have a few developers working on custom forms and reports for various projects including EBS 12.x. To avoid the hastle associated with patching and upgrading all desktops, we are looking for a server based forms builder and reports writer.
I am familiar with UNIX based tools in EBS that can run with X-windows [on local desktop]. Created an SR with OS, but not getting a satisfactory response. I am looking for pointers to browser based tools. Do they even exist? I was hoping maybe something in Fusion stack might allow it.
    Thanks,
    Sachin

Thanks all for your feedback. Confirmed this with the Oracle Sales team. There is no browser tool available from Oracle. If you must avoid the desktop install, the only option is frmbld/rwbuilder in $ORACLE_HOME/bin (R12).

  • Why are forms 10g Images blur on run time ?

    Hi everyone,
I've created a form in 6i that contains many images of type .bmp & gif as i run the form all pictures show clearly.
I upgrading the same form to 10g, as i'm running the form, all images appear blur !!!
    Can anyone explain why?
Is there any solution for this weird phenomenon ?
    Thanks
    Best Regards
    Lanlani

That's very curious as the appeared to take a long time to download each. They also reported being fully downoladed in the download window in iTunes. It's certainly never happened before that they would synchronise without being fully downloaded.

  • Why are forms chopped in half in Muse?

Why is an Adobe Form embedded in Muse being chopped in half when Published and not in Preview? Also, if I subscribe to the forms, will people be able to see all that Adobe stuff when they click on terms of use at the bottom and see all those Adobe products pop up?? I'm not using my site as a way for Adobe to sell anything.
    Message was edited by: chediski11

    Hi,
For your embedded form, how did you embed it?  Did you copy the embed code or just put an iframe pointing at the form URL?  You need to use the embed code provided on the distribute tab.  I tried a quick sample myself on muse, and it seemed to work for me.  Could you forward me your muse website URL?
For paid accounts terms of use is removed for embeded forms, but is present when you view the form from the URL.
    Thanks,
    Todd

When I add a page link to a region and set the region to show both the path based url and the durable url with the GUID, both url's are exactly the same. They both represent the durable url, unreadable for the end user.
How can I use the path based url, do I need some extra configuration?
    example durable url:
    http://myhost/portal/page/portal/21366734BB5046E0B6D095E1FE8745C1
There is absolutely no difference whether you specify the Link - Display Name or Link Display Name (durable) for my page links.

Oddly enough, I've noticed page links seem to always use the GUID regardless of settings selected. I guess that is just the way they work. Of course it is very nice that page links are security aware which is why I use them over URLs. I supposed you could get tricky in your template and convert the GUID to a path based URL, but that would be a fair amount of code and table lookups. I just live with the GUID on page links.

  • Why are forms or passwords not filled, when I imported them from Safari?

I've used the Import function to import "saved form history" from Safari, twice already, both times it says it completed the task, yet whenever I go to a site requiring passwords or forms filled out, nothing happens, & I must manually fill everything out! Why is this not working?

The form history will not include passwords. Firefox can not access the passwords from Safari so can not import them.

  • Are Forms Central Subscriptions available in Australia?

    Hello,
I encounter website problems preventing me from subscribing to FormsCentral. I get the security server certificate error, click 'continue [regardless] (not reccommended)' and then I get a 404 error.

May I add that this problem has been present since before Christmas - I have tried many times to subscribe withought success.
I was using IE 9 on Windows 7 x64 but I have since upgraded to the Win7 RC 10 candidate, and clearly this is a server-side problem anyway.
    Cheers,
    David
