Are Data Table parameters an outdated data type?

In trying to establish "best practises" for coding PL/SQL stored procedures that will be called by .Net applications, I am considering the fact that the Data Table parameter type is intentionally not supported by some .Net Data providers and wondering whether this is a significant shortcoming. The best indicator I can think of is to get a feel for whether or not Data Table parameter types are a current recommended practise or an old practise that has been superceeded by something better. Can anyone provide any information about this?

It runs about $59, using the demo version I was able to convert the first page of my data into a format that Access could read.

Tax error - audit data - table ETXDCJ with wrong data

   I am working on audit_data file that external tax system receives from SAP. table entries in 'ETXDCJ' are fed to audit_data file which are wrong. Please let me know how this table gets the entries. Any transaction or steps that I need to know to replicate the issue. We have this wrong tax data issue only for certain sales document type not for all. Please let me know.

External tax calculation is a setting that you have to enable in configuration. Every document has a tax procedure and pricing procedure assigned to it. So when you create a sales order, based on these two your prices and taxes are calculated. I am not how it works, but I think the external tax calculating software will calculate and send tax documents back to SAP. These are the ones that get stored in the table ETXDCJ,ETXDCH and ETXDCI. This update function module seems to be inserting it EXTERNAL_TAX_DOC_INSERT_DB.
What is it that you are calling error? Are calculations wrong, or is it something else? Are you sure it is document type not cutomer or state that is influencing this? Look in config for the external tax calculation under 'Financial Accoutning Global Settings' as follows:

I am wondering if your issue is with the tax jurisdictions and your condition table entries. If you are sure that it is always with a particular document type, compare the document type settings with another one that is working.

Use the Data Table of JSF, but only titles are display, not data show

Hi,
I create some simple example base on some of the tutorial online and modified myself to ensure no error. One of the tutorial that I refer is http://wiki.netbeans.org/DevelopJavaEE5App.
I really wonder why my data never show in my jsp page, only show the titles. Basically what I have done were:
First create entity classes
Second create SessionBean
Third create Controller - as JSF Managed Bean which is used to bind the data in JSP page
Last is create JSP page with Data Table to show the data
The customerlist.jsp has no error and display nicely with only titles.

I suspect was due to the message that I got when drag the employeelist from Data Control Palette, as below:
The "Embedded OC4J Client" has been added to the client project.
This library provides a "jndi.properties" file that allows EJBs to be resolved in the embedded OC4J server.
To resolve EJBs running in a remote application server,
remove this "Embeded OC4J Client" library from the project and add a custom "jndi.properties" file to the client project instead.

Data Table Fixed rows and Scroll Bar

Hi
I have data table which displays the data dynamically, but when there is no data , the table is shrinking and moving the other elements of the page. Is there any way i can keep to fixed number of rows irrespective of data presence?
Like i need to display only 10 rows at a time, if there are 7 rows in DB, i have t o display 7 rows containing data and rest as blank .
If my data increases more than 10 rows how can i enable Scroll Bar Automatically on this?

Web report data provider change from Master data table to InfoCube

I have created one report on top of multiprovider but in the selection screen when i check the values for a variable I came to know that data is coming from master data table and not from data provider(InfoCube).Can any one help to change the data selection from master data table to data provider(InfoCube) and i am sure that there is no ODS involved in the multiprovider.

If u are using Analyser then just put a Analysis Grid on the output of the query(should cover all the rows and column) , click on the grid and put the dataprovider. and do auto fit.

Convert into Data Table issue from Excel Sheet Table

i've excel file where 10-12 sheets are available in that excel file.one of the sheet is named as summary.there are 8-10 tables(named as Table1,Table2,Table3....) in that summary sheet as well.
i've to actually get the Table1 from the summary sheet into the DataTable.
So,i've written a following method to read "summary" sheet and then i checked if the Table1 exist then break the loop.My problem is i've found Table1 but i am not able to convert it into the DataTable.Can anyone tell me how to do it.

According to the description, you want to convert to the table in Excel to DataTable using Open XML SDK.
As far as I know, there is no such API we can achieve the goal directly. However, we can write custom code to complete the job. Here are some major steps for your reference:
1. Get the information of the table we wanted to convert. For example, column information and the range address for the table. And we can get the these information via the
Table object of
TableDefinitionPart Class
2. Then we can create a DataTable via the column information we get from step1 and initialize the data table via read the data from range of table.

HTML Data Table with cell-level inline messages?

Hi all.
I'm not suprised by this, but I am wondering if anyone has figured out a slick/elegant way around the "problem"
Basically, the problem I want to solve is:
how to get corresponding validation error messages to show up in the data table cell that contains the (editiable) ui component representing the "offending" value?
The naive first approach would be simply to place an inline message component just before or after the corresponding data table column's row value presentation component.
But obviously, this won't work, primarily because the inline message component id will not be unique (does not pick up the currentRow to make it unique) asd well as due to the issue of binding the inlineMessage component's "for" attribute to the correct row (as well as column).
So, the naive first approach results in a thrown exception:

Now, I know I could add "virtual" columns to my data table to hold validation errors so that they correspond to the correct row/columns and I know I can bind the rendered attribute, style etc, for corresponding presentation elements, but then I've basically side-stepped the whole faces message functionality built into the JSF framework.
Also, if I have to use "virtual" columns, then I've complicated life for myself, since I ordinarily want to bind the data table to a list of bean instances (i.e. we are using hibernate persistence) or even a row set (difficulty setting a column value that is not updateable in data source, i.e. corresponds to no table/column and maybe involves dynamically adding "virtual" column to data cache?).
Now, I know I can place a message list on the page instead (this is currently what I am doing), and I know I can change the application so that I provide a separate *single row" edit page, both of which provide a semi-adequate alternative.
I like the first alternative (the one I'm using), because in-place editing of data table rows is so much more compact and elegant, both in terms of presentation and coding.
Using this first alternative, I am currently adding to the validation error messages the currentRow attrubute so that users can see it an trace back to the corresponding row in the data table to correct the data entry.
However, everyone, users, project drivers and developers (including myself), are grumbling a bit over such a "hackish" approach.
Any thoughts? Am I missing something obvious?

What's done in the sample app is, of course, the intuitively obvious choice and is exactly what I started out trying to do the first time round.
But as I mentioned before, when I first tried it (yes: I'm pretty sure I set the "for" attribute on the inlineMessage components), I got the non-unique component id exception for the inlineMessage component(s) after adding the second (but not the first) row to the page.
Anyway, after dragging my inlineMessages to the exact same position as those in the AppModel example, now things work fine (except I think I'd like a line break before the message and to change the row/column styles so the values and messages line up properly...the look is rather ugly in the AppModel example when there are validation messages displayed).
Not sure, but I'm thinking maybe there was an issue with where the inline message markup was placed, my first time through, relative to the data table value bound component and the column header facet?
I was using the application view drag 'n drop feature the first time round and dragged the inlineMessage component to the spot just below the data table value bound component and hence just above the column header facet. In the AppModel example, OTOH, the inline messages are placed just after the column header facet.
Of course, I will now try to duplicate the original exception.
If I can (and it is an issue with placement), I will post back some sort of bug report or RFE. Otherwise, I'll post back declaring what a bone head I've been...;-)

I have the following old code:

Based on the description, you want to detect whether there is data table or connection in a given worksheet.
As far as I know, there is two kinds of data table in Excel, listobject and querytable. We can check whether the data table exits via the
ListObjects and
QueryTables collection.
And as far as I know, the connection is not associate with a worksheet. The connection is relative to a workbook and we can get all the connections in a workbook via
Connections Object. Also here is another helpful link about connection in Excel:

Master Data table in a Lookup in Transformation

Hi,
I am writing a Lookup in Transformations.As per the logic i need to read the Master Data Table of a Infoobject to get the Attribute from the master data table.
The Master data is not time dependent
Which Master Data table should i use in my Logic
/BI0/M *
/BI0/P *

How to see what are the Tables avialable in DataBase

Is it possible to see what are the tables avialable in the Data base (I am using Oracle 10g Client )

Thanks in advance .Learning where to look things up in the documentation is time well spent investing in your career. To that end, you should drop everything else you are doing and do the following:
Go to tahiti.oracle.com. Drill down to your product and version.
Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what is available here. Take special note of the "books" and "search" tabs. Under the "books" tab you will find the complete documentation library.
Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what kind of documentation is available there by simply browsing the titles under the "Books" tab.
Open the Reference Manual and spend a few minutes looking through the table of contents to get familiar with what kind of information is available there, especially the initialization parms and the data dictionary views.
Do the same with the SQL Reference Manual.
Do the same with the Utilities manual.
Then set yourself a plan to dig deeper.
- Read a chapter a day from the Concepts Manual.
- Look in your alert log and find all the non-default initialization parms listed at instance startup. Then read up on each one of them in the Reference Manual.
- Take a look at your listener.ora, tnsnames.ora, and sqlnet.ora files. Go to the Network Administrators manual and read up on everything you see in those files.
- When you have finished reading the Concepts Manual, do it again.

Keeping SharePoint Query Data and Excel Manual Entry Data Aligned

Greetings!
I've been trying to find the best place to ask this question, so I'm hoping this is close enough to on-topic for this forum.
I have an Excel 2010 workbook that includes a table linked to my SharePoint 2013 site by a data connection. The SharePoint list feeds the table standard information that's managed on the SharePoint site, but I need the user of the Excel workbook to be able
to enter text manually in the workbook to associate local information with the line-items coming from the SharePoint list. To do this, I've added extra columns to the end of the table. This is not just text entered into columns to the right of the data table,
but rather the data table is extended to encompass the adjacent columns, so my expectation was that the rows of the table should hold some level of "identity" to associate the manually entered text with the corresponding data coming from the SharePoint
site.
The user can enter information in the appropriate cells in the "extra" columns at the end of the table, but when I refresh the data connection, the addition of a new list item on the SharePoint side results in the user's manually entered text getting
out of alignment with the row it's supposed to be associated with.
Example
Column 1(SP)
Column 2(Extra)
Row 1
Item 1
Row 2
Item 2
Text entered for Item 2
Row 3
Item 3
Then, if I add a new item to the list in SharePoint, for example, something that would appear between the original items 1 & 2, after refreshing the table, I get the following:
Column 1(SP)
Column 2(Extra)
Row 1
Item 1
Row 2
New Item 1.5
Text entered for Item 2
Row 3
Item 2
Row 4
Item 3
The table's data connection is set to insert rows for new items, and I could swear I had this working properly once upon a time...but I can't seem to make it work now.
Any thoughts on what would cause this?

Transactional Data Load without Respective Master Data in Place

Hi Folks,
Could anyone let me know if i could load transactional data without loading the respective master data. If yes, well could you give me a scenario when you do it. Also could you let me know the option of how to load transactional data without master data in place.

Hi,
You can load transaction data without loading master data.
You have the option in the info package to load data even if no master data exists..
You may use it in cases where your transfer rules/update rules or routines donot refer to master data tables to populate transaction data..
