Are we hostages paying $50/month for the rest of our lives to open our projects?

Adobe, I understand (in part) the switch to CC although I do think the $50 price point is on the high side for many people and maybe you could reintroduce suites that give us access to only products in our particular field for $20-$30.
However, you have not created an exit strategy for us and as a result, you are holding your customers hostage should they ever not be able to justify or afford the $50/month price point. While I will grudgingly pay that amount now for the suite as a working professional, I know that if I ever decide to move to part time, retire, or just to work on personal projects, I will likely no longer be able to justify $50/month. As of now, on that day, you will remove my access to all of my past projects and prohibit me to open, modify, or export anything I have done with your software in the past. This is a hostage situation for sure. How do you expect me to continue creating proprietary project files knowing that the day I know longer pay you $50/month, you will pull the rug out from under me. This is insane. Other companies have provided readers for their products that allow me to open and make some basic modifications without the paid versions.
You need to create a back up plan for these situations. Similar to how anyone can open and make some basic changes and export PDF files using the free tool, you need to provide these free tools to all CC members that go off subscription. While I understand that I will not be able to create new documents and make massive changes, I SHOULD be able to open/export/modify my existing projects. The fact that I can be on subscription for 5 years, pay you $3000, and then be stripped of the ability to open past projects because I didn't pay the $50 monthly is rediculous. When I purchased your masters collection, I did so planning on upgrading every release cycle, but knowing that the day my business closes or no longer supports a heavy investment, I will continue to be able to access my current files.
You have created a propietary hostage situation and I urge you to immediately introduce a free version of software suites that allows us to open and export projects at least with some minor revision features such as changing image size, cropping and items like that for photoshop as an example. Adobe products will never fit my business model until this is available. I have been a masters collection user for a long time and hate to go, but I cannot continue to work with a proprietary project file with a company who will hold those files hostage for $50/month.

That fits exactly what I´m thinking about.
I´m using the CS Master Collection since it came up. A long time user (always up to date, and always payed) for over 20 years.
Invested lots of money and lots of time in learning.
And now they force me into a situation where I "hire my own work".
Absolutely not acceptable!!!
I don´t know what´s up with Adobe to do such a thing.
Without a solution that gives me the ability to chnage my files after subscription ends there´s absolutely no possibility to use this "cool" marketing blablabla cloud sht.
Nothing against the cloud. If somebody wants it or means he need it - then go on with one more cloud from one more company.
(can´t hear this word "cloud" any more...)
But it has to be an option (like before) or Adobe creats an buy-out solution!
