ARGH! Someone help me PLEASE!
So pretty much I'm super bummed. Last week I tried to plug my iPod into my car adapter. The little apple came up but then the folder icon with the exclamation point came up. Naturally I came to the website to figure out what I could do to revive it. I've read everything they say to do when that pic comes up but to no avail. Then I came to the discussions where it looks like others are having the same problem. Mostly my problem seems to be that my computer won't recognize my iPod. So I read about what to do when that happens but again nothing. I'm at a loss! I would really appriciate it if someone, anyone could help me out!
Interesting - I found this thread b/c I've been unhappy with the mouse action on this macbook pro. It almost feels like there's 2 levels of click in it, a 1/2 click and full click... and it seems to occur only one one side of the mouse!?
I will have to look and see if there's s/t under it causing the problem.
Still, I'm curious if anyone else has this issue? I do a lot of click/select/dragging through sound files and the bad action on the mouse is troubling.
It also seems like they could have also smoothed off the edges of this mouse as they have a very sharp edge/corner which the palm of my hand occasionaly grazes.
Maybe I have a defective (too high?) mouse?
...also going to continue searching for other persons reporting mouse related issues here, although between the super slow search/response time of the forums and the lack of a good keyword for that part (mouse bar?) it's been duanting.

I am trying to print a PDF file to a legal size paper and I would like for it to fill up the page. How do I do this? I went into the settings and changed it from letter to legal, but it's still printing out the same size. Can someone help me, please?
Are you trying to Print to PDF or are you trying to Print a PDF file to a physical printer?

I run an itune 10.4 and would like to back up my entire library to a DVD, because I do not have an external hard drive to back it up to (as the "help" topic is suggesting). Is it possible?...and if so, can someone help me please.
This is no longer done via iTunes.
Use whatever CD/DVD burner software is installed on your computer.
Add the iTunes media folder to the list of files/folders to burn to disc. -
I had backed up my IPhone 4s on iCloud on Jan 19. I am now trying to do another back up but it says the time required is 7 hours. It appears to long a time for 1GB of data stored on the iCloud. Can someone help me please?
To be honest, that sounds about right.
For example on my 8Mbps (megbits) down service I get around 0.4Mbps upload. That is the equivalent of (very approximately) 3Mb (megabytes) per minute or 180Mb per hour. Over 7 hours that would be just over 1Gb.
Obviously, it all depends on your connection speed, but that is certainly what I would expect, and that is why I use my computer for backing up, not iCloud. So much quicker. -
Hi could someone help me please ? Ive just bought the new ipad and want to put some movies on it. I have already converted some movies using handbrake and tried to transfer them to my ipad and it just wont work. ive tried drag and drop and everything

Well, turbo.264 is indeed very nice to have - even for converting full-sized movies. All H.264 files (assuming they are H.264 level 4.1 or lower) are compatible with the built-in Videos app.

It entirely depends on your needs. The top players (AVPlayerHD / ProPlayer, It's Playing, GoodPlayer) all have different strengths and weaknesses. I myself use It's Playing the most as I convert everything into MP4 and simply love the DSP's (brightness / volume / saturation boosting). (Its software decoders are definitely worse than those of AVPlayerHD / ProPlayer; however, MP4's are played back from hardware.) -

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -

I think theres a problem with my ram someone help me please
I have a ibook g4 mid 2005 model and the hard drive says zero kb free i deleted half of my applications i dont need and it still says zero kb free. is there a problem with my ram? or is there a mac virus or somthing? also when i opened a game after a while it said force quit please and delete stuff becuase your hard drive is full. someone help me please!
It does not sound like a RAM issue but a disk problem. You might just need to empty the trash so that the deleted space is marked free. Otherwise it is best to boot from an install CD, run Disk Utility, and do a "Repair Disk"

Contact Mercedes if you want to use the dock connector for the the input to the car system. Does Mercedes say it is compatible with your model iPod and its iOS version?

You can get a cable that goes from the headphone jack and an AUX in on the car system if the car system has such an input. -

Try resetting your phone: hold the on/off and home buttons until you see the Apple logo (ignore the off slider that appears first), then release. You won't risk losing any data.
