ARS (Remedy) Call BPEL Service

I am trying to get Remedy to call a BPEL webservice. Using HelloWorld example. I am unable to parse the wsdl from there tool. Has anyone found a workaround to this? Maybe saving the wsdl local and editing the file.
Here is what a Remedy Web service looks like....

I am still unable to modify the wsdl directly to call from Remedy. I saw a previous post that suggest pulling out the prlnk statements, but alas no dice.

  • ESB calling BPEL service

    Hello All.
    We have created an ESB that includes a database partner link that reads new records then uses that data and calls a BPEL process.
    We have a single server in development and clustered servers in test, qa and prod.
    In dev, the ESB calls the BPEL process once as it should.
    In the clustered environments, the ESB calls the BPEL process twice. In the ESB console there is only one instance of the ESB and in the BPEL console there are two.
    Is this a bug in the software or is there a ESB/BPEL configuration that we might have missed?
    Thanks in advance.

    You need to implement the DB polling as a singleton service. What is happing is the activation agent is running on both nodes. You need to make it run on just one.
    have a look at metalink note 746108.1
    also the enterprise deployment guide provides pointers

    Hi i have followed the following steps which is specified in this thread
    You need to follow below steps...
    add a java parameter to the OSB server. Go to domains\osb_domain\bin folder and edit the setDomainEnv file and add this line to this file. set JAVA_PROPERTIES=-Dplatform.home=%WL_HOME% -Dwls.home=%WLS_HOME% -Dweblogic.home=%WLS_HOME% -Dcom.sun.xml.namespace.QName.useCompatibleSerialVersionUID=1.0
    Step 2 is to replace the bpel jars in the bpel transport ear. Go folder osb_10.3\lib\transports and open bpel10gtransport.ear and replace the following jar files orabpel.jar, orabpel-common.jar , xmlparserv2.jar and oc4jclient.jar with the ones you can find in the soa suite 10.1.3 home.
    But still i am getting the error.
    I am using WLS (10.0).Is it compatible with bpel-10g protocol, because i have already called a sync BPEL process with http protocol and it worked?This thread talks about WLS(9.2)

  • Calling Web Service with SOAP header from BPEL

    Hi,
    I am calling a web service (with header information) from BPEL. In the Invoke activity, i created a header variable to pass the header information.
    But, when i test the BPEL service, invoke activity fails because the header information is not being passed.
    Below is the error message (copied from clipboard).

    As said, no header information is visible in the Invoke activity.
    Please provide help for the above issue.

    Hello Patrick,
    Thanks for the response. I am using normal assign activity to assign values to the header variable as shown below. HeadMT is the header variable which is passed in the invoke activity.

  • Calling REST Services that accept JSON objects from BPEL Process

    Hi,
    I do have a requirement of calling RESTful service from the BPEL process (SOA Suite 11.1.1.5). The RESTful service accepts the payload as JSON object.
    I have gone through the documentation of HTTP binding through which we can call RESTful services from BPEL. But the payload option is coming as only XML.
    So just wondering whether BPEL has out-of-the box support for JSON object payloads when calling REST service? Please let me know if you have any pointers on this.
    Thanks & Regards
    S

    Hi Vijay,
    Thanks for the links Vijay.
    Went through the links and the documentation. From that i could see the only way is coming up with Java based proxy which takes care of XML to JSON conversion and calling the REST based service. This would actually need a java developer now :)
    Regards

  • Jaxws call to oracle bpel service question

    I have a bpel service running in oracle soa 11g.
    This expects an input message some thing like this:
    <input>
    <element1>data</element1>
    <payload> <test>this is xml payload</test> </payload>
    </input>
    This service is invoked by jaxws client after setting the required input message.
    The problem is during the consumption of the xml message within the payload tag.
    I use something like this in my bpel assign :
                    <from expression="ora:getContentAsString(bpws:getVariableData('inputVariable','payload','/input/payload/*'))"/>
                    <to variable="inputMsg"/>
    But instead of the xml payload I see a nodelist like this : oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLNodeList@3440cbfe
    Any pointers are appreciated.

    This is how I am sending the message from jax-ws client :
        bpel_client_ep = new bpel_client_ep();
        PublishBPEL publishBPEL = bpel_client_ep.getBPEL_pt();
        PublishMessage payload = new PublishMessage();
        payload.setBussinessObject("testBO");
        payload.setId("testID");
        String xmlString = "<test>This is a test payload from java</test>";
        payload.setPayload(xmlString);
        publishBPEL.publish(payload);
    This is the wsdl for the service :
    <wsdl:definitions name="PublishBPEL">
      <wsdl:types>
        <schema xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
      <import namespace="http://abc.com/xyz/PublishBPEL" schemaLocation="xsd/PublishBPEL.xsd" />
        </schema>
        </wsdl:types>
         <wsdl:message name="PublishBPELRequestMessage">
      <wsdl:part name="payload" element="client:PublishMessage"/>
         </wsdl:message>
    </wsdl>
    This is the xsd :
    <schema>
      <element name="PublishMessage">
       <complexType>
        <sequence>
         <element name="bussinessObject" type="string"/>
         <element name="Id" type="string"/>
         <element name="payload" type="anyType"/>
       </sequence>
      </complexType>
    </element>
    </schema>
    Of-course I simplified the wsdl and xsd a bit, but you get the idea. NicolasFonn

  • Facing issue in calling BPEL WebService from ADF page.

    Considering example:
    I have a Login Page (Login.jspx) with two input text, UserID & Password and one Login Button. On press of login Button It will call a BPEL service for validating the user and will return a String value with Success or Failure as value. Depending on this value I will decide inside Managed Bean response will go to which path.
    Took the reference of http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/fusion_middleware/fusion/adf_wc/10_132_siebel_webcenter/siebel_webcenter.htm
    Using this I am able to call BPEL from my ADF page and able to show the result on different ADF page, but not able to take the BPEL returned value inside the managed bean.
    Please help me how to take BPEL output value inside my managed bean.

  • Error when calling BPEL from ESB in clustered environment

    Hi
    We have recently installed SOA Suite in a clustered environment and have a serious issue.
    I am not able to call BPEL processes from my ESB services via WSIF (by using the 'browse target operation' in JDeveloper). The exception i get at runtime is this.
    "javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: ejb/collaxa/system/DeliveryBean not found"
    When I instead call the BPEL process via SOAP (by using a SOAP invocation service i JDeveloper) it works fine.
    Everything works fine in development environment which not are clustered.
    Has anyone any excperience from using ESB in a clustered environment?
    Regards
    Kalle Viklund

    Hi
    ESB and BPEL resides in the same oc4j-instance. Though, esb-rt and orabpel are different applications in that oc4j-instance. And the lookup 'ejb/collaxa/system/DeliveryBean' only exists in the orabpel application.
    In the ESB Console I already have the same setting for the 'BPELSystem' as for the 'Defaultsystem'.
    Cluster name: esb_prod
    Virtual host: prod1.sth.nu
    Port: 80
    Topic location: ESBTopics/Topics/ESB_JAVA_DEFERRED
    Connection factory location: OracleOJMS/XATCF

  • Call web service from human task

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement to call webservice inside human task flow. I have three participant in my human task flow. Let suppose A, B and C. When A approves then task will be assigned to B and when B approves it will go for C.
    My requirement is that, when A approves , then i need to call one external webservice to update database. I did not get any option to call webservice inside human task flow.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Sunil

    Thanks userN for your wonderful reply but i have one more question.
    As per your instructions i have enabled call back events in Human task flow. In this way i got while loop inside my BPEL. In onTaskAssigned operation i am now trying to call external web service. My requriment is to call external service and get data from service. After getting response from the webservice, i want to assign it to next participant.
    But in this case, when user B approves, it goes to onTaskAssigned block and i am able to make external web service also but mean time, it has been assigned to User C which i do not want.
    I want Human task flow to wait for the webservice response then only assign it to next participant.
    Please help, is there any option to do it.
    Regards,
    Sunil

  • Response not coming back to ESB when calling BPEL process

    Hi,
    I am doing some demo,
    the actual process is, in ESB, I am reading a file and passing thsoe fiel contents to BPEL as SOAP service. In BPEL proecess, I processed the message and sending the response back to the ESB. When I deployed and check the process flow in the BPEL console, everything looks fine, I mena, it sending the response back to the ESB, where as in ESB process, I am not able to see the response.
    Is there any thing that I am missing?
    Thanks.

    Is the BPEL process a synchronous process?
    Also for performance reasons it it best to call BPEL process via the direct jca connector not SOAP.
    You do this by just selecting the BPEL process in the routing service going through the wizard. There is no need to creat a SOAP service. The good this about this is that in the ESB process it provides a link to the BPEL process.
    cheers
    James

    I found a few things about that, in particular this metalink note (about a patch to apply) :
    https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/f?p=130:14:1155360189717582688::::p14_database_id,p14_docid,p14_show_header,p14_show_help,p14_black_frame,p14_font:NOT,788141.1,1,1,1,helvetica
    I successfully installed the patch but everything remains the same, I get the same error ...
    Any Ideas ?
    Thanks Anthony

    I managed to do the same without updating the default jdk to 1.5.0_16/17. The entire process involved a lot of patches both to the Oracle SOA Suite v10.1.3.4.0 and Oracle Service Bus 10gR3. I am listing the steps I followed and the references.
    Steps for modifying the environment
    On SOA Suite
    1. Apply patch 6880880 from metalink. This is just an upgrade to the Opatch utility to handle patches for GENERIC_PLATFORMS
    2. Apply patch 7586063 (Reference 1)
    3. Apply patch 5507491 (Reference 1)
    On OSB
    1. Update SetDomainEnv.bat (Reference 2)
    2. Update bpel10gtransport.ear (Reference 2)
    The references mentioned above are as follows:
    1. [https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/f?p=130:14:1970391832150201494::::p14_database_id,p14_docid,p14_show_header,p14_show_help,p14_black_frame,p14_font:NOT,788141.1,1,1,1,helvetica]
    2. [http://biemond.blogspot.com/2009/03/calling-async-bpel-services-from-osb.html]
    After the changes, the process mentioned in (2) should work
    Hope this is helpful for someone!
