AS Extensions for AIR / native C

Hello!
As someone else mentioned on this thread (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/790040?tstart=0). The "Developing ACTIONSCRIPT Extensions for ADOBE AIR" Guide (http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/devices/pdfs/DevelopingActionScriptExtens ionsForAdobeAIR.pdf) is very good, but it bases the whole description on how to develop the native c side on demo files to which have access only owners of licences for the EDK or other.
I am not part of this licencees, but am really interested in AIR interacting with native C modules. Does anyone has some experience with it? Would have some demo source files to which I could have access or even a tutorial/explanation on how to code the C part? (The Guide remains in my opinion quite vague for that part).
Any help is welcome!
Thanks in advance

Hello Adobe?
Any information would be helpful, really!
Thanks

  • Native Extension for AIR publishing error : framework not found

    Hello,
    I'm trying to build an iOS app using native extensions for AIR, but when I publish, I've an error message saying : framework not found
    I tried with this ANE for GameCenter integration : https://github.com/StickSports/ANE-Game-Center
    it says " ld: framework not found GameKit "
    Same problem with GREE Platform SDK for AIR :
    https://docs.developer.gree.net/en/globaltechnicalspecs/#sdkforair
    it says " ld: framework not found CoreTelephony "
    The thing is that these frameworks are already included, I guess.
    I'm using flash cs6 on mac, and I've included the path to iOS SDK in the publishing settings.

    Are you using the ANE from there or are you recompiling the ANE at your end?
    If you are recompiling, please make sure that you are using the platform.xml file they have provided.
    If you are using their precompiled ANEs, probably, the path to iOS SDK is not correct. It should be upto the folder iPhoneOSx.y.sdk.

  • In-app extension for Air for iOS clarifications ?

    Hello there,
    While trying to implement Milkman in-app extension for Air for iOS, I have couple of things to clarify.
    1. Can we use this plugin to buy a third party game from within my app using in-app purchase?
    2. Can a third party app access the in-app purchase details from my app, if shared? If yes, How?

    I am unable to click on the item to download it. What am I doing wrong??
    You may have disabled in-app purchases.
    Check in the Settings.app:

  • Milkmangames extension for AIR question AdMob question

    First of all, I apologize for puting the post here, I didn't manage to get any reply from them so I figure they must be too busy.
    Maybe someone here who used their AdMob extension could be kind enough help me here:
    I am using their AdMob extension for iOS and Android and I come across this issue.
    I have two scenes [in Flash] that uses the AdMob extension, an invisible Sprite in each scene is in charge of initialzing & destroying the Ad [AdMob.destroyAd()] and will initialize it again on the next scene.
    However, after it has been destroyed and re-initialized in the next scene, I get an error from your extension saying it has already been initialized and the ad area turns blank.
    Can I assume that internally, when AdMob.destroyAd() is called, they close it some time later instead of immediately ?
    How do I fix this issue on my end ?

    var admob:Admob=Admob.getInstance();//create a instance
    admob.setKeys("a152834c2b8cce6");//set admob appid
    admob.showBanner(Admob.BANNER,AdPosition.BOTTOM_CENTER);//show banner with relation position

  • Aurasma Native Extension for AIR

    I'm wondering if anyone can help. Aurasma (the Augmented Reality system) supplies a kernel and XCode/Android template files for including their app within your own. Basically, they provide and interface and a library (.a file) so that you can include a button to launch their app overtop of yours. A close button within their app will return you to your own.
    I've made attempts to build this into a Native Extension, so that their app will launch in a native window above the Air app. The process I'm going through right now causes the Flash CS6/Air 3.3 compiler to crash at the end of the compile (resulting in no .ipa being built).
    Before going into too much detail as to what is involved and where things could be going wrong - has anyone had any experience building an app with Aurasma's kernel? Anyone attempted to build a native extension using Aurasma?
    Thanks in advance!

    Are you using the ANE from there or are you recompiling the ANE at your end?
    If you are recompiling, please make sure that you are using the platform.xml file they have provided.

  • Native extension for Game Center

    Hi guys,
    As I understand it with the latest Air Beta it's possible to implement native extensions for iOS, and in theory that would make it possible to connect to both Game Center and in-app purchases.
    Has anyone here tested this? It would be nice to know if there are any show stoppers before I start "digging"...
    Cheers,
    /Andreas

    I just finished an extension for AIR that adds Game Center (commercial.)  I'm going to be doing Multiplayer next.  I'm pretty sure there's an in app purchase one out there, I'm looking for it now, I'll post if i find it.

  • Native Extension for Linux

    Hi,
    I'd like to explore the posibility to create a navite extension for AIR/Linux. I haven't found documentation on how to do it. Is this already supported in version 3?
    I want to create a serial port communication extension for AIR.
    Can some one please confirm is this is possible at this point? and if so point me in the right direction.
    Thanks,

    AIR isn't supported on desktop Linux anymore. AIR 2.6 is the last supported version, so native extensions are not possible on Linux. You can find this announcement buried in this article: http://blogs.adobe.com/flashplayer/2011/06/adobe-air-and-linux-increasing-distribution-on- devices.html

  • Flash CS6 IDE Air Native Extensions problem HELP

    i'm trying to test out CS6's new native extension (ANE) but I'm having a difficult time getting it to work.
    First I went to Adobe's page: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/native-extensions-for-air.html
    Downloaded the "Vibration" ane and then through the Actionscript settings panel added the .ane file to my app and then in my actionscript tried to add the code:
    import com.adobe.extensions.Vibration
    var vibe:Vibration;
    vibe = new Vibration();
    vibe.vibrate();
    But when I go to compile I get this error:
    Scene 1, Layer 'Layer 2', Frame 1, Line 3
    1172: Definition com.adobe:Vibration could not be found.
    What do I need to do to get this running? I've tried several different things and variations on the above code but nothing seems to do it. Help!

    Well that gets me furthur than before. Thank you. I had to change a few things.
    import com.adobe.extensions.Vibration
    I had to change to:
    import com.adobe.nativeExtensions.Vibration
    but now when I test in the debugger I get this error:

  • Any good Native extensions for iOS yet?

    Hi,
    I wonder if there are any usable native extensions around yet for iOS features?
    I have only found these: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/native-extensions-for-air.html which seems to be mostly tech-demos (battery, network info etc). I thought at least in-app-purchases, Game Center support, iAds, alertbox etc should have been released by now?
    Since I have no knowledge in objective-c I can't do it myself, but I would gladly pay for ANE-files that are usable in real projects.

  • Has anyone anywhere managed to get "AIR Native Extensions" to work with Flash CS 5.5?

    I'm trying to integrate Adobe's "Gyroscope" example of ANE to work from Flash Professional CS 5.5.
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/native-extensions-for-air/extensions/gyroscope.html
    Apparently, one has to use the somewhat crude "ADT" command-line tool to build an app that uses Native Extensions.
    Unfortunately, I cannot get past the numerous errors ADT is throwing at me.  The latest is:
    unexpected failure: inputs not set
    java.lang.IllegalStateException: inputs not set
              at com.adobe.air.ApplicationPackager.createPackage(ApplicationPackager.java:62)
              at com.adobe.air.ADT.parseArgsAndGo(ADT.java:556)
              at com.adobe.air.ADT.run(ADT.java:413)
              at com.adobe.air.ADT.main(ADT.java:463)
    Unfortunately, I'm not an advanced developer, so I really don't know what any of that means. (But I'm sure if I can just get this one example to compile and run, I'll be better able to perform the necessary tasks in the future.)
    Can someone PLEASE help me?
    Thanks.

    If you are looking for input from others, you are more likely to find people with either similar problems or complaints in the Flash General Forum (http://forums.adobe.com/community/flash/flash_general?view=discussions) rather than here in the Actionscript 3 forum.  If you scan thru it for the past few weeks/months you might even find someone with the same problem.

  • Developing for 'Air for TV' with Flash builder 4.5?

    How can I target Adobe Air 2.5 when using Flash Builder 4.5 so I can develop for Adobe Air for TV?
    When I change the app.xml file to point to 2.5, I get the following error:

    Download the AIR 2.6 SDK.
    Copy each file from the AIR 2.6 SDK into the corresponding directory within the Flex 4.1 SDK, replacing the Flex original variants.
