ASCP KPIs R12

Hi All,
We are implementing Advance Supply Chain Planning R12 in a client and in the Implementation Guide Documentation there are references to a BIS KPIs. Is it necessary to implement BIS for ASCP in R12?
We're implementing DBI for Supply Chain, also, and we know there is a Dashboard: Plan Dashboard, where we can find some KPIs similar to BIS KPIs, but we couldn't find how to compare a target KPI against a planned KPI. Is that comparison possible implementing only DBI?
Thanks in advance,
CC.

Hi,

Does R12.1.3 require APCC to view ASCP KPI's like inventory turns? I have setup KPI targets using Process Management Framework responsibility. I am not seeing any KPI related date in ASCP workbench. Is there any other process to be run to populate KPI data.

Please recheck if you followed the following steps. (some of them may be old but not sure if chnages were made to oracle after I last did it couple of years ago)
    A. set up KPIs or performance measures within the BIS application(which i think is now the framework module you mentioned)
    --->
From the BIS Personal Home Page, click Performance Management Framework (Full Access).
    2.     Click Performance Measures.
    3.     In the Performance Measure drop down box, select the correct performance measure (e.g.; MRP Gross Margin %).
    4.     Click the View Target Levels button.
    5.     Click BIS_EDIT_VIEW in the row that shows the correct dimensions (e.g.; Total Organizations, Total Time).
    6.     Scroll down to the access section. Make sure the Selected Responsibilities include Performance Management Framework (Full Access) and Performance Management Framework (Targets Access).
    7.     Click the Save and View Targets button.
    8.     In the Organization drop down box, select Total Organizations.
    9.     Click the Find Targets button.
    10.     Click the Retrieve button.
    11.     In the Business Plan drop down box, select Standard.
    12.     Click the Refresh button.
    13. If there is no target set and you wish to set a target, click the New Target button.
    14.     If there is an existing target you wish to edit, click BIS_EDIT_VIEW for the target you wish to edit.
    15.     Enter the target.
    16.     Click the Save button.
    17.     Use the home button in the Performance Target Details bar and start over with the next target.
    B. if these steps are correct may be try doing complete refresh and rerun plan (ensure you have calculate KPI checkbox checked)

    Hi
As per my knowledge, there is a 'User' Guide for OPM Product Development, Process Execution, Process Planning, Quality Management, MES, Cost Management etc....which I have for R12.
Is there is a specific 'student' guide or 'implementatioN' guide from Oracle for the above. I doubt. If yes, kindly avail me a copy please.

  • KPI in ASCP

    Hi,
Anyone please elaborate the usage of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in Advanced Supply Chain Planning and tell me how to use this in our environment.
We are having centralized ASCP and running EDD Plan for every fortnight.
In have checked for our current plan by right clicking the plan name and selecting Key Indicators, It is showing the chart for planned cases and not for the target.
Kindly let me know how to proceed with this functionality.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Is the new feature of material status definition is supported in ASCP r12

    Hi all
I am facing new requirement from Customer which is on R12.
They have a warehouse which by definition is non Nettable. This  warehouse manage by locators.
Customer requirement is that group of locators in the warehouse will be nettable despite that the warehouse it self set as non nettable.
They can't set those locators in different nettable warehouse.
My question is releated to the new feature of material status definition on R12 as a nominate for solution for this issue.
As I saw I can set material status as nettable and assigned it to the locator.
I haven't test it yet and I will appreciate your best practices /knowledge feedback  If this feature supported in ASCP
    Thank in Advance

    Hi,
First of all, Warehouses cannot be nettable/non-nettable. I assume when you say warehouse you are referring to Sub-Inventory. You can only have a nettable/non-nettable sub-inventory.
The precise answer to your query on material status is NO.
As of now ASCP does not have the capability to plan based on the material statuses defined in source.
ASCP do not collect the Material Status related information.
You may refer to the following ER:
Bug 17014198 : DATA COLLECTIONS NOT COLLECTING SUPPLIES FROM NON-NETTABLE SUBINVENTORY
    Hope that helps!!

  • Demantra Integration with R12 EBS instance without APS /ASCP

Will the out of the box integration work without the APS in the R12 EBS instance.
The client runs SCP and does not use APS for this.
The client wants to implement Demantra - so how will the integrations work because there is no APS available ?
    Any thoughts would be helpful.
    thx and rgds,
    Pankaj

Demantra does not integrate with SCP. But You can code such that Demantra output can go into a forecast and then load the forecast into SCP.

  • MRP Planned % Safety Stock Not Generating Supply in R12 ASCP

Playing with MRP Planned Safety Stock in an unconstrained plan. See safety stock in the horizontal plan. See safety stock in the pegging tree. Yet this type of safety stock is not generating any supply recommendations. However with "regular fixed quantity" safety stock the plan is. Thanks in advance.

    Hi
If I understand your qn correctly., user defined SS is working and MRP planned % is not. Have you setup MRP planned % such that you gave the SS method., bucket days and % for the item attributes?
Also make sure that you have demand for the item since it looks at your demand in future, adds up demand within the bucket days and applies the % .
    Thnx

  • Unable to release OPM Batch in R12

    Hi gurus,
We are implementing R12 OPM and using the shared version of unconstrained ASCP planning.
We are not able to release OPM batch planned orders to OPM execution.
The profile Auto Implement planning suggestion to APS is set as No and ran the "Auto Release of Planning suggestions for APS" concurrent request manually gives error message as
"Profile Update activity offset is not set",
Searched thro metalink and could not able to get the solution.
Can anyone help me to solve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Suresh

First try to create plan batch manually in Production Module.
If it allows you to create and save planned batch (FPO) then the issue is with ASCP-OPM integration.
If you are unable to create planned batch manually, check for:
    1) Plant-warehouse setup in MPS
    2) Document ordering
    3) Valid effecivity for the item
I am not sure if all of these are still required in R12, but they are required in 11.5.10
If you are able to create FPO manually then there might be issue in integration where some setup steps is missing. You need to follow all the setup steps mentioned in ASCP-OPM integration manual.

    Hi,
Thanks a lot for your replies....Geert and Sandeep.
I was just thinking what other standard ways I have to populate this information in the workbench for the Planners. Actually, it's just going to be a Yes/No or 1/0 info. for the planner which he would see in the workbench and then take some decision based on that. On exploring some of the other fields available in the Org items, I found that the workbench does display the planning flexfield info. such as Service level and Late Demands Penalty. Also there's another attribute 'Critical items' which populates a value 'Item Attribute' in the workbench when I check it in Org items and the field remains blank when I uncheck it in Org Items. The latter should always work as all my items are MPS Planned.
Could there be any downsides if I use the Critical Items item attribute to pass this info for the Planner in the workbench?

  • Can anyone share how to integrate Demantra Demand Management to EBS R12?

    Hi all,
Can anyone suggest how to integrate Demantra Demand Management to EBS R12?
    I use Demantra 7.2 and EBS R12.
I search in Manual and in some blogs but not much data support. If possible, I want step-by-step starting from set up such as setup the instance.
    More of my concern are;
    - Is Demantra can integrate with MRP, without APS or ASCP?
    - Is that necessary to integrate by using seed data? If I implement my series with all new series, how can I suppose to link them to EBS?
    Thank you in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Tanya T.

    Hi Tanya,
To begin with, you can refer to the Metalink doc 434991.1 for an in-depth explanation on the integration from a technical perspective. Apart from this, there is an ocean of knowledge in the Demantra Documentation libraby in the metalink. The Implementation Guide provides an overview of the integration processes that synchronize or move data between Oracle Demantra and E-Business Suite applications.
    Now coming to your concerns:
    - Can Demantra be integrated with MRP, without APS or ASCP?
After going through the above mentioned documents on Demantra, if you still want an integrated instance of Demantra and MRP without using APS, then it will have to be a highly customized solution. This scenario will obviously have a great impact on various business aspects, which is out of scope of this discussion.
    - Is it necessary to integrate by using seeded data? How to link new series to EBS?
The Demantra - EBS integration adds two new responsibilities for Demand Management viz. i)Demand Management System Administrator and ii)Demand Analyst.
The System Administrator creates a new user in the E-Business Suite with the relevant responsibility for which the user is automatically created in Oracle Demantra.
The user with "Demand management system Administrator" responsibility can create new series that get added in the Demand management component on creation. This series can then be used as per requirement.
I hope my comments help.Feel free for further discussions.
    Regards,
    Shekhar

  • Forecast consumption against CTO item in ASCP

In source side module (OM, MRP) , following is the observation:
    i) we define a forecast set with consume check box checked for ATO model
ii) create a sales order for ATO model , configure it .
The sales order quantity for configured item is consumed against forecast of ATO model.
I want to do same type(as source) of consumption in ASCP for configured item. Is this possible? I was trying to check this scenario in R12. Following is the setup:
    i) created forecast set with consume check box Unchecked for ATO model
ii) create sales order for ATO model and configure it .
    iii) run collection
    iv) define plan with plan options ;
consume by forecast bucket checked and explode forecast check box checked.
In this above setup, the sales order quantity for configured item is not getting consumed against forecast of ATO model. Is there any thing wrong in setup ? please let me know.

    Abhishek,
I would revisit this part of your setup for ASCP:
"created forecast set with consume check box Unchecked for ATO model"
You just instructed ASCP not to consume this forecast. The source side forecast set must have "consume forecast" selected.
Starting in 11.5.10 release, Oracle implemented very significant improvements for CTO model forecast consumption. The old MRP process supported forecast consumption for one level in the sales order organization only. Oracle ASCP 11.5.7 through 11.5.9 supported multi-level, multi-org forecast consumption for one source of organizations only.
So yes, your requirement is supported in 11.5.10 and later releases. ASCP will perform forecast consumption in this order:
    1. Consume the forecast for that specific Configured item (if entered)
    2. Consume the forecast for any remaining sales order demand for the referenced ATO Model.
    3. Explode the bill and consume the forecast for lower level options, subassembly configured items, and ATO models as needed.
To support this in a multi-org environment you will need to provide a global forecast and appropriate sourcing assignments.

  • Setup of ASCP centralized

Been A DBA for a while but new to EBS and R12. We have R12 that was built as and OBA. We need to configure/setup ASCP centralized. I've found several documents on setting up ASCP decentralized but not the steps to set up centralized. Does anyone have the steps to configure the setup of a centralized ASCP config?
    -TRR

The only difference is that when you are setting up the ASCP instance (ASCP administrator > instances), you don't have to enter db_link information.
    Everything else should be same.
    Hope this answers your question,

    Hi Partha,
My client does not want the ASCP,APS and value chain planning. The option which you provide also cannot pull the data to EBS which is currently in ER as per Oracle.
Any other functionality which can be used which will help my client.
