Asking about Content Server web service

                 I have studied Adobe Content Server 4 in evaluation version. I already have finished to setup ACS4 and it
                 can work with sample shop. But now, my company already have own shop for e-commerce purpose. In order to
                 integrate my shop to ACS4, I must use web service to get some information from ACS4 for inventory system.
                 So I have read document many times but still not clear yet. Now I investigate DRM work flow from
                 "Web Service API Inspector" that provide by ACS4. I write own php script for listing all ebook.
                 The following is xml request for listing all book in ACS4 that I copied from "Web Service API Inspector".
                                    http://58.97.41.195:8080/admin/ManageResourceItem
                                    <request action="get" auth="builtin" xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/adept">
                                      <nonce>RQ4nngAAAAI=</nonce>
                                      <expiration>2010-06-17T09:07:22-00:00</expiration>
                                      <hmac>DP502XxihvqWMDwCezAAVdJBkrA=</hmac>
                                    </request>
                 In the above request I'm very confuse about nonce and hmac value.
                            - What is none created from ? And do you have any sample code to create nonce value
                            - In this case, I understand that hmac is created from the following php function
                                    $request =    '<request action="get" auth="builtin" xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/adept">' .
                                                       '<nonce>RQ4nngAAAAI=</nonce>' .
                                                       '<expiration>2010-06-17T09:07:22-00:00</expiration>' .
                                                       '</request>';
                                    $key = 'xxxxx' ; // where xxxxx is password for logging in to the ACS4 admin console
                                    hash_hmac('sha1', $request, $key);
                 Am I right ?

Nonce is a contraction of  "Number used only once" and is a standard  way to prevent message replay.  Nonces must be unique until the time specified in expiration.  If the nonce is not unique you will get an E_ADEPT_REPLAY error message.
The signature element is the hmac of a particular infoset serialization of the xml.  For examples of this in Java see the sample code for UploadTest et al. If you ask support, they can provide sample serialization in php.  Hashing the raw bytes of the message as you did is not correct.
An alternative for your development is to turn off authentication by adding the following line into your admin config file:
com.adobe.adept.persist.skipAuthentication=true
The signature element will still be required, but it doesn't matter what the value is other than it being valid base64 encoding, so you could just use aaaa for example.
However if you do turn off authentication then it is up to you make sure the admin service is secure (by restricting access through vpn/firewall rules or whatever other means you choose)

  • SQL 2012 R2 - SSRS with the Report Server Web Service URL, can't access

    Hello:
    I am installing Dynamics CRM 2013.  When I am on RS Configuration manager; I am running into the SSRS (SQL 2012 on Server 2012)SQL issue, can't access the
    http://servername/:80/ReportsServer or
    http://servername/:Reports web pages
    The database server has SSRS native mode installed, it is using a domain account for the service credentials.  This account also has permission to log on a service in the GPO
    Account is a domain admin and is a local administrator
    SQL server is 2012 R2 on Windows Server 2012.  User base is less than 60 people and they have SharePoint 13 on the same SQL server.  Server more than enough resources.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.
    Thanks..Dan

    Hi DCas1,
    According to your description, you could not access
    http://servername/:80/ReportsServer or http://servername/:Reports web pages from Reporting Services configuration manager, SSRS in configured in native mode and the account you used is a local administrator.
    In Reporting Services, URLs are used to access the Report Server Web service and Report Manager. Before we can use either application, we need to configure at least one URL each for the Web service and Report Manager. If we are using the Reporting Services
    Configuration tool to create or modify the URLs, we can accept the default values for a URL or specify custom values. When we create a report server URL, we must specify the following parts: Host name, port and Virtual directory. In order to improve the efficiency
    of troubleshooting, I need to ask several questions:
    Since the default URL is http://<computername>/reportserver, did you type the URLs manually? or the URLs configured in Reporting Services configuration manager are
    http://servername/:80/ReportServer and
    http://servername/:Reports?
    Could you provide detailed information of error log(default location: %programfiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles)?
    For more information about Configuring a URL, please refer to the following documents:

    If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

  • The server at Mac OS X Server Web Services requires a username and password

    I am running SL Server 10.6.2, wiki works but when a person clicks an attached file in a wiki and then selects "open" they get a login popup with the notification The server at Mac OS X Server Web Services requires a username and password. It doesn't matter what they put into the login/pass it comes back. If they hit cancel then the document opens. If they click save then it saves with no issue. I can type in the admin login/pass of the server and it works. Does this mean the security settings to the location of the files is wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated!

    By the way they are using Internet Explorer 7 when opening these documents.

  • Difference of Oracle Application Server Web Services and JDeveloper

    As new to the Webservices my Question is what is difference of:
    - 1. Web Services Assistents in JDeveloper 1.3 (JAXRPC specification, WS-Sec)
    - 2. "Oracle Application Server Web Services" 10.1.2 using WebServicesAssembler (depreciated ?)
    - 3. Apache Soap Server 2 based (deprecated ?)
    When should I use the iAS Assistent and when the JDeveloper one for generation?
    Why don't they use the same stuff?
    Does anyone have some experience for projects on this?
    Thx, Willi
    Have not found any Topic with an explanation on this. If you know someone please point me to that.

    Web service Assembler Tool

    Thanks a lot for clearing this things to me.
    I have to start a web services projects and I am confused which tools to use - JDeveloper Assistents or the WebServicesAssembler (as pointed out before).
    Because I did not find some hints on this (expecpt your ones), it seems to me that I am missing some point or criteria on that I can do such a decision when to use what of those two tools.
    Do I understand you right, that in future JDeveloper and the WebServicesAssembler will use the same .jar files and also generate the same code?
    Thanks a lot for such valuable hints, Willi

  • Question about document/literal web service

    Hello every body.
    I have some question about document/literal web service.
    I’ve been working with Axis before.
    Axis has four valid signatures for your message-style service methods:
    public Element [] method(Element [] bodies);
    public SOAPBodyElement [] method (SOAPBodyElement [] bodies);
    public Document method(Document body);
    public void method(SOAPEnvelope req, SOAPEnvelope resp);
    The same I am trying to do with WebLogic API for webservices.
    But when I am trying to test web service (public Document method (Document body); )
    I have serialized exceptions for org.w3c.dom.Document.
    Do I have to write a custom class for org.w3c.dom.Document serialization?
    If yes can you give me some idea or example?
    The all idea behind this web service is. I have just one web service and mane classes for XML processing. Depends what xml document will be during runtime, web service will be using different class for xml processing. It works fine with Axis, but in case of WebLogic I have some problem.
    One more question… How I have to call this web service from java client?
    I have seen this example http://www.manojc.com/?sample31 ,
    but this web service looks like (Document helloDom()). I need to send Document.
    This example works for Dynamic Proxy, but does not work for static call.
    Any ideas?? Thank in advance.

    Hi,
    I am getting a similar issue. I created a Document-style/literal webservice and deployed on Weblogic 9.2 . Then I generated client stubs using clientgen. I get the following exception stack trace:

    The same situation - names are resolved propertly. This issue occurs only on that customer installtion from few days.
    I have even upgraded 8.8 from PL14 to PL16 believed that it helps, but helped not...

  • Office Server Web Services got duplicated in IIS

    Hi,
    I have a very strange issue. We are using MOSS 2007 on a Windows Server 2003 64-bit environment for our company Intranet. For some unknown reason in our server hosting the Central Admin, the Office Server Web Services site in IIS got duplicated. The old
    one was stopped and the new one is currently running. I'm not sure what could have triggered this to happen. What would be the impact if I delete the newly created one and start the old one? This is only happening in one of our servers in the server farm.
    All other servers are fine.
    Regards,
    Terri

    Hi Terri,
    Did you get any response to this query? I am also facing exactly the same issue. In case you knew the root cause, please share the same .

  • Problem about Calling SQLplus Web Service on Aspen Watch Server

    Hi all,
    We're using MII 11.5 and trying to call a web service from a Aspen Watch server through the web service block in transaction. The web service enclosed a function call ExecuteSQL which will accept a sql query function and return a set of Data. Now, using the same web service on two different servers, we got a success(server A) and a failure(Server B). On the failed call, right in the first page of enter a URL, it will return a "SOAP Service could not be loaded: The element type 'META' must be terminated by the machine end-tag '</META>'" error.
    According to the admin of the web server, the web service on both servers can be called correctly when he created two simple ASP pages. After serious testing, he thought that the only reason should be MII may not be compatible with .Net 2.0 binding web service. The following is some comparison we made to the two servers.

    Hi all,
    We're using MII 11.5 and trying to call a web service from a Aspen Watch server through the web service block in transaction.
                                                                                    Server A / Server B / Error, if applicable
    .Net Framework installed on MII server:                                 1.1, 2.0 /      1.1, 2.0
    .Net Binding:                                                                          1.1 /               2.0
    IIS version on MII server:                                                 6 /                 6
    From MII server broser to Server A web service:                 Yes /      Yes
    From MII server browser to Server B web service:                 No /     No /      Return on web "The test form is only available for requests from the local machine"
    From localhost browser to Server A web service:                 n/a //     Yes
    From localhost browser to Server B web service:                 Yes //     n/a
    From PC browser to Server B web service:                                No /        Yes /     Return on web "The test form is only available for requests from the local machine"
    Credentials required to run web service:                                 No /     Yes /
    The following are the SOAP generated:

  • What to specfify in CA Reporting services integration (Report server web service URL) when using SSL for both SharePoint and SSRS?

    Hello,
    We are using Sharepoint 2010 and SQL Server reporting services 2008 R2.    We have the sharepoint site bound to port 443 using a certificate.   We also have the same certificate bound in the reporting services configuration manager's
    web service URL tab.    In CA should we put the SSL URL or the non SSL URL?    Right now in CA it has the then non SSL URL,
    http://fakehostname/ReportServer_REPORTSERVICE.     We have some sporadic issues and I am wondering if setting this to our SSL URL will help.    Please let me know
    if you have any questions.
    Thanks,
    Sean

    Hi,
    Regarding this issue, it should be no issue for setting (https) according :
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb630447.aspx
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb677369.aspx

    I notice you mentioned that you have some sporadic issues, what are these issue? If there are errors, please post the detailed information about the errors.
    What is the mode type of SQL Server Reporting Service, native mode or SharePoint mode?
    The screenshot of the web service URL:

  • Mailbox server web services proxy issue

    One of our 3 mailbox servers gives us an error when mailbox databases are mounted on it.
    All web services are not functioning properly, there is an event log error for each web service web.config file saying file not found, If I open each web.config file and look at the line in question they all point to:
    <assemblies>
            <add assembly="Microsoft.Exchange.Security, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" />
          </assemblies>
    Does anyone know what this is pointing at or what my server is missing?
    It is Exchange 2013 Sp1 RU7 as are my other 2 mbx servers which work fine...
    all pre-req's are installed as I double checked and no difference between the 3 mbx servers that I can see...

  • Indesign server web service - where is the support to upload a file with the script and download the result?

    Hi,
    I am working on a POC that is supposed to convert indd files to pdf (i.e. using of course the indesign server). Basically I want to call the IDS Web Service (located on a different machine perhaps), pass in the input file, the conversion script and retrieve the result as part of the WebService call?
    Browsing the documentation, examples, etc in the SDK, I couldn't see how the above can be achieved without the client handling the file transfer. Surely I must be missing something ...
    thanks
    Chris

    What do you mean with POC?
    InDesign Server is too precious (i.e. license cost) to waste its time with file transfers.
    For a smaller scale, let a separate process (some http or smb server) on the same server hardware handle the files - so that the InDesign Server can access them on the fastest local volume.
    If you plan for bigger, use a dedicated server for file sharing (your choice of SMB, NFS or whatever), where the input files are prepared by the client process, so that your load balancer can immediately point the next free instance of the InDesign server farm to the file. In that case be prepared for some try and error - high speed file sharing can be tricky with files written from one side not yet visible or incomplete to the other side, locking problems, Unicode file name trouble, unexpected time stamps and so forth.
    Btw, there is also an InDesign Server forum which would be more appropriate for such discussions.

  • Basic questions about PL/SQL web services and datasource names

    Hi there,
    I successfully generated a web service for a PL/SQL packaged procedure in JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0).
    In the web service base class the following code was generated:
    __dataSource = (javax.sql.DataSource) __initCtx.lookup("java:comp/env/jdbc/dbconnectionDS");However in the weblogic server the datasource name is jdbc/somethingelse so the deployment fails at first.
    What is the recommended procedure to solve this issue? The obvious solution is to manually edit the source -- that is what I did and it worked fine. However if I re-generate the web service I will lose my change. Is there a better way to do this?
    Another question -- in the generated web.xml file, there is a resource-ref for the datasource. I was hoping that changing the datasource name there would help but it didn't work. What is it used for in this context?
    Thanks
    Luis

    Hi Vishal,
    I did as you suggested but it didn't work... see below more details.
    Thanks
    Luis
    1 - I re-generated the web service from the PL/SQL package. The constructor in CFBTestWSBase class looks likes this:
    public CFBTestWSBase() throws SQLException
      {  try {
    javax.naming.InitialContext __initCtx = new javax.naming.InitialContext();
    __dataSource = (javax.sql.DataSource) __initCtx.lookup("java:comp/env/jdbc/custfeedbackDS");
    } catch (Exception __jndie) {
    throw new java.sql.SQLException("Error looking up <java:comp/env/jdbc/custfeedbackDS>: " + __jndie.getMessage());
    }2 - I added the following section to weblogic.xml:
      <resource-description>
        <res-ref-name>comp/env/jdbc/custfeedbackDS</res-ref-name>
        <jndi-name>jdbc/DataSource</jndi-name>
      </resource-description>3 - I got the following error when during deployment to weblogic server:
    [HTTP:101216]Servlet: "CFBTestWSPort" failed to preload on startup in Web application: "CustFeedbackTestWS.war".
    java.sql.SQLException: Error looking up <java:comp/env/jdbc/custfeedbackDS>: While trying to look up comp/env/jdbc/custfeedbackDS in /app/webapp/CustFeedbackTestWS.war/346617503.

    Where have I wrong?

    Thank for reply, I checked my parameter and I seem that (maybe) is  ok below is my parameters, do you see anything of wrong?
