Neither of them. It can't be mounted.
.+does it have initialization parameters file or it uses database instance ip file+
It has its own spfile which it uses.
+3. can we decide the stripping fine or coarse for files we add to database+
No that is based on the already existing tempelates of the files. You have no choice to do that.

  • What is meant by ASN and importance of ASN

    Hi gurus,
Please let me know What is meant by ASN and importance of ASN.
    Venkat

    Hello,
<b>ASN is an acronym for Advance Shipping notification</b>. ASN is an electronic transaction through EDI. One can pay when shipment is received by referencing the order number/shipment number on these notices instead of receiving an invoice. <u><i>ASN are generally/universally accepted to be generated at time of shipment</i></u>, in rare cases before the shipment to give the receiver enough time if the shipment time is very short like the Fedex Hub across the street. The receiver may use it for receiving to reconcile invoices, they may use it for dock preparation, dispatch trucks among others and <u>speeding up payment</u>.
<b>ASN should not be confused with the Packing List</b>. A packing list is a subset of what a ASN contains or used for, as one is supposed to see an ASN before the physical shipment. In case the business requirement is about receiving everything and scan in the packing list after verifying it physically it should match the ASN.
Though these days documents/definition is used/interpreted by different people and in different industries for different reasons.

  • Conf. Control key and ASN

    Dear Experts,
Can you explain the step by step process of the standard ASN creation, confirmation and goods reciept in SAP?
I am confused between AS & LA conf. control keys and goods receipt and inbound delivery steps.
    1. I have defined confirmation control in SPRO.
    1. PO is created.
    2. Vendor confirms they can deliver qty X on date ABC. This will be recorded as conf. key AB in the PO.
    3. The day the vendor ships the goods from their location, i will have an Idoc update the PO with a conf. key of AS. is this the standard correct step or do i need to update with an LA here? please clarify??
    4. Goods arrive at our facility. Here, should i process the goods with a standard goods reciept using MIGO or use VL31N to create inbound delivery and then do post goods reciept? Please clarify??
So...my question is..when do i use VL31N and do post goods reciept  and when do i use MIGO and create standard goods reciept. Even if an inbound delivery is created automatically by EDI and if i do GR using MIGO, then the inbound delivery remains open? so what is the use of the inbound delivery?
What is the functionality of confirmation control key AS?
What is the functionality of conf. control key LA?
    Please clarify.

    Thank you for the response.
please ignore my statement about conf. key "AS". Can you describe the process of ASN and clarify my other questions?
    Thanks

  • Asn/ber parser

    Briefly:
I have a file coded in BER. I want to review its structure.
    More specifically:
I want to check some values that are present it that file. I dont know the exact ASN.1 structure of the file so I cannot use any ASN compiler.
I dont want to write my own parser, so I am searching for one already made.
Could you please help me with this problem.
    Thanks a lot.

    There's an
    ANTLR
    parser available for ASN.1
Look at the link somewehere at the middle of that page.Isn't that for parsing ASN.1 modules? It sounds like
the OP doesn't have the module, just some data, in
which case I would guess that he's SOL.Could very well be; the OP's claim that he didn't want to write his own
parser made me think that he did want to parse ASN.1 modules. Sorry,
if I was wrong and caused confusion.
    kind regards,
    Jos

  • Creation of a Goods receipt based on an ASN in SRM

    Hi,
we want to implement a scenario like this (with SRM 7.0):
    1) Requester creates Catalog SC;
    2) SC gets approved;
    3) PO is created (at this moment we haven't chosen between classic or Extended Classic scenario)
    4) Supplier Connects to a Portal (not SRM) and post an ASN in SAP Backend
    5) (THIS IS THE QUESTION): is it possible for the Requester (who created the SC) to post (in SRM) a GR based on the ASN that it has been created in SAP?
Additional Info: in this scenario SUS system is not foreseen; only SRM (EBP) and SAP backend system
    Thanks

  • Report for Open PO and ASN.

    Hello All,
We need a report that shows all parts ordered and not received. It would be a combination of the open orders and open ASN's.
Do we have any report that can satisfy this request.
    Thanks in advance.
    Forum Shah

    Hello All,
    Thanks for your reply.
I want to create a new report
The RECORD SELECTION FIELDS in this new report should include the following:
    1.     Plant Number =      (should be mandatory field)
    2.     Vendor Number =
    3.     Material Number =
    4.     Purch Doc Type =
    5.     Purch Doc Number =
    6.     Material Type =
    7.     Item Category =
    8.     Account Asgn Category =
    9.     Confirmation Cntl Key =
    10.     Due Date =
The OUTPUT COLUMNS in this new report should be export-ready to Excel  (ALV), and include the following columns:
    1.     Plant Number =
    2.     Plant Name =
    3.     Vendor Number =
    4.     Vendor Name =
    5.     Purch Doc Number (both PO and SA) =
    6.     Line Number =
    7.     Material Number =
    8.     Material Description =
    9.     Material Type =
    10.     Item Category =
    11.     Account Asgn Category =
    11.     Confirmation Cntl Key =
    12.     Qty Due = Original qty u2013 received qty
    13.     Date Due =
(repeat QTY and DATE for all open releases)
    14.     ASN Number (if ASN has been recorded in SAP) = EKES-VBELN
Now i am having issue while developing logic for delivery dates, Inbound delivery and GR.
When i create IB my remaining open quantities should be seen. And when I am doing GR whole line should get disappear.
I tried MDBS, EKET and EKES table. But i am not able to link delivery dates, due qty, inbound delivery and GR qty.
    Please suggest.

  • Apple ID appearing on another iPhone device (Sync confusion)

    Issue
iTunes is sporadically requesting access to my partner's Apple ID account when downloading applications and trying to install the other iTunes account applications also when syncing takes place within iTunes. System software/accounts seems confused.
How can I ensure that both devices remain separate and do not access each other's iTunes accounts or sync over Mac logins? How can I delete mixed applications from separate Apple ID's ensuring it won't replicate the deletion on the primary Apple ID?
    Background
    1 x Macbook Pro OS 10.8.2
    iTunes 11.0.1
    App Store 1.2.1
    1 x iPhone 4S OS 6.0.1 (Device A)
    1 x iPhone 4 OS 6.0.1 (Device B)
    Separate Apple ID's
    Separate iCloud accounts
    iTunes accounts
Both people have our own iTunes accounts linked to their own device. All details are currently correct when checking Apple ID profiles.
    MacbookPro
Both people have separate MacBook Pro logins and software is all up to date.
    History
In the past, over a year ago, both iPhone devices were sync'd via the same iTunes and Macbook log in. (Not a good start I know) Both iPhones always had their own iTunes account for downloading apps and music etc. When I realised I was syncing application data from one iPhone to the other on my Macbook, I created two Macbook log ins. I deleted all applications on Device B that were transferred from Device A and also deleted the applications in Device B's iTunes account. It seemed that both devices finally had seperated, retained their own Apple ID logins, applications and Macbook user logins.
Device B recently tried to install an application that Device A also had.
The application installed onto Device B without an issue and there was no confusion with Device A having the same application. The application can be upgraded to provide additional functionality. When Device B requested this within the application to upgrade, the Apple ID of Device A suddenly appeared.
I checked that Device B was asked to INSTALL the primary basic version of the application rather than OPEN it, just incase the confusion started at this point. It definitely said INSTALL.
I thought the divorce was done and dusted in the past.
Why would Device B suddenly point Device A's Apple ID?
To troubleshoot, I connected Device B to iTunes on the MacBook with Device B's Macbook log in. When iTunes opened within the Apple ID of Device B ALL DEVICE A applications appeared and started to sync these applications to Device B! I am back to mixed accounts.
How can ITunes suddenly connect the Apple ID's of both accounts and then tell Device B it needs to install Device A's applications? They are separate Apple ID accounts, separate copyright, separate costs.
I know with iMatch that you can share the library with another device and when this occurs it locks the Apple ID of the primary iTunes account for 90 days on secondary device. We have never done this.
I'm 'Syncing' trying to work this one out, please help!

  • HT1414 i am in the process of getting my iphone4 unlocked from att to use it on straighttalk. why do i need to "back up" the iphone and all of this? i dont have an apple computer sooo, im a little confused on why i need to do this. can someone please help

Can someone please explain and help me? I am unlocking an iphone4 from at&amp;t to use it on the straight talk network. They've confirmed my request to do this and I am now a little confused as to what to do next. They want me to back up the phone using itunes on either a MAC or PC. I do not have an aplle computer but I do have an acer. Sooo, can I use it to do this? Or do I even have to do this to unlock and switch the iphone4 over to a new network? If I do have to what can I do to do this because like I said I do not have a computer by apple? Can anybody walk me through what I need to do next please? I've been waiting to do this for a very long time and I now have the option to have an iphone and use it. Thanks to my awesome boyfriend who Gave me his old iphone when he swapped back to an android. Hahahaha! Please anybody!? Because I sooo don't know what I'm doing and really do not want to mess the phone Or the process up. Thanks to any and all who read this and help me! It is greatly appreciate it!

Install iTunes on your Acer and you can back up the iPhone. Or back it up to iCloud. If you do not back it up you can get it unlocked, but you will lose all of your content.
You can get iTunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes.
Even after unlocking I'm not sure it will work on Straight Talk, because last time I checked ST used Verizon as its carrier, and an AT&T iPhone 4 is not compatible with Verizon's network. You can probably use it on Net 10 or T-Mobile once it is unlocked.

  • Computers on small office network - names getting confused on iChat

We are using bonjour and iChat on the computers on a small airport network in our office as an instant messaging solution in our office - however, 2 of the computers (which are named differently) keep getting confused and both being called the same name.
I have done the fix where you go to System Prefs, Users & Groups and then set the address book card to that particular computer owner, restart the computer and then open iChat (using bonjour) - it saves the name but then my colleague becomes the same name as me on iChat - so we do the same thing to her computer (set address book card etc) and it changes her iChat name, but then also seems to override what I had set for mine previously.
Help!! What can I do to stop these 2 computers seemingly overriding each other? It doesn't happen with the other 4 computers sharing our network...

    Hi,
In System Preferences > Sharing is the Name the Computer has.
This does play a part in any Bonjour Connection.
It is this name that appears in Shares in the Finders's Side bar.
Separate for that iChat and Messages that have the Bonjour Account Enabled broadcast the details from the My Card in the Address Book.
Issues can arise with some Server based Logins that create a Global Address book that changes the My Card.
You get similar difficulties on some DiskImage roll outs of updates and the like if the details of the Address Book are copied as well.
I am not sure what you mean by the "fix" in System Preferences > Users and Groups to change the My Card or the Computer's Name.
Yes you can click the Contact Card for that account and it will show you it in the Address Book and it should be th My Card.
Changing the My Card then does not alter which Card is associated with the Mac User Account.
There is no access to the Computer's Name

  • Creation of Inbound delivery mandatory for ASN process in classic scenario?

    Dear Experts,
We are going for classic scenario for our green field SRM implementation process. Our client is not using  ASN process in their existing MM process. However, they are now looking for an oppurtunity to enable Suppliers to trigger ASN using SUS. In such case, is creation of inbound delivery from Buyer side a mandatory process?
Is the below the process correct?
PO -> ASN (Supplier using SUS) -> Inbound delivery (Optional) -> Goods Receipt (Mandatory) -> Invoicing.
Here, I understand that Goods receipt can be verified against the PO or via Inbound delivery to PO. ASN will inform the store keeper in advance about impending goods receipt and smoothen the confirmation process.
Could you please comment on the above process? Could you please suggest the best practices followed here?
    Thanks and regards,
    Ranjan
    Ranjan Sutradhar

    Hey Ranjan!,
    You are on track.
The process flow you have shown is true. ASN is available as a standard as part of the MM-SUS process. It makes the buyer aware of any delays in delivery or to make arrangements on shipping docks to receive goods on a said date etc.

  • ASN creation based on ECC inbound delivery

    Hi All,
I have a scenario in which we are creating an inbound delivery in ECC and corresponding ASN should be created in supplier system.
In order to achieve this functionality of ECC to supplier system is there any way to map this functionality through any custom development ?
    Kindly suggest
    Thanks
    Gaurav Gupta

    Hi,
What I understand from the requirement is - The Supplier dispatches the material to Purchasing company & informs about the same via ASN. This ASN triggers inbound delivery in ECC. When the material reaches the Purchasing Company, GRN is posted with reference to the Inbound Delivery.
    Is this correct?
If so, you can achieve this through RFC function, which can be called from vendor ERP system or through Vendor Portal by directly calling the RFC or by using Web Service.
    Regards,
    Prashant

  • Third Party Process ASN

We have configured a third party process for specific sales orders.  We receive an inbound ASN with shipment information and then we create the outbound invoice, directly from the sales order, after we post the inbound invoice.  Is it possible, and how, to create an outbound ASN, from our system to the end consumer, based on the information in the inbound ASN?  We would prefer not to create an outbound delivery document in our system and would like to generate the outbound ASN off the outbound invoice or the original sales order.
    Thanks for the help.

I cannot connect to my outgoing email server on my macBook pro, yet I can, for the same email account on my iPad. Also I can send emails from the other email account I have on my MacBook...really confused can anyone help?

Sometimes deleting the account and then re-creating it can solve this issue
Write down all the information in accounts before doing this
Highlight the account on the left and click the minus button
Then click the plus button to add the new account and follow the prompts

    height = 30
    MyButton : 2
    x = 0
    y = 0
    width = 292
height = 173I don't know why the result would like this? I have used add(...) method to add two component MyButton to the container MyContainer, But the bounds of the second component is not I want.
So this problem made me go into confuse.

You need to learn how layout managers work. The default layout manager of a JApplet and JFrame is BorderLayout .
