ASN POACK needs to be MRP relevant and InboundDelivery auto set to COMPLETE

Dear Experts,
We have the following requirement not sure how to implement this.
Need ASN's and POACK to be MRP relevant for accurate planning.Business
needs to receive against PO,not the inbound delivery for efficiency
purposes.
Set confirmation control key to have MRP relevant and GR relevant but
without invoking the use of an inbound delivery.
When inbound delivery is created from inbound ASN,need ability to
automatically set Inbound delivery to COMPLETE.This supports delivery &
shipping requirement to receive using PO,not Inbound Delivery, and NOT
have inventory supply duplicated,e.g. by Inbound Delivery created by
ASN, and again by any Inbound Delivery that may be created as part of
the PO receipt process.
Secure creation/change POACK and ASN now MRP relevant documents to
avoid overpass the PO line item QTY+tolerance,by providing'error'
message and blocking the saving of the document if happens.
Does it exist an user exit to implement this.
Look forward to get your reply.
Thank you and regards

Worked with DBA and though source tables were not huge, we extended manually and proccess completed once we re-ran.
Thanks all.

    Use the default parser.
By default, WebLogic Server is configured to use the default parser and transformer to parse and transform XML documents. The default parser and transformer are those included in the JDK 5.0.
The built-in WebLogic Server DOM factory implementation class is com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl.
The DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance method returns the built-in parser.

  • Need inputs on the pros and cons of setting unlimited extents

    Hi,
We are planning to set unlimited extents on all the DB tables inorder to avoid the frequent alerts and errors we get for TOO MANY EXTENTS. Now we are manually doing the changes in SE14.
But we hava a proposal of setting unlimited extents for all tables which we think will solve the issue.
Kindly provide our valuable feedback on this. Is it advisable or not?
    SAP Version  : 4.6C
    Oracle : 10.2
    OS - AIX UNIX
    Thanks
    Anupama

Hmm.. when I enter "TOO_MANY_EXTENTS" into the search box in the upper right corner of this forum I get back this:
SAP Note 435290 Description of BRCONNECT 6.10 DB check conditions
    And in there I find:
    "16. TOO_MANY_EXTENTS (formerly MANY_EXTENTS)
This condition checks whether there are tables or indices for which the number of allocated extents exceeds the specified threshold value. As a default, all tables and indexes are checked against the same threshold value. However, you can define different threshold values for individual segments or tablespaces by specifying their names in the OBJECT field of the DBCHECKORA table (transaction DB17).
Possible checking operands, threshold values, value units:
    16a.     >, >=         <number>        P
More than <number> % of the maximum number of extents was already allocated.
    16b.     >, >=         <number>        <none>
More than <number> extents were already allocated
    16c.     <, <=        <number>        P
Fewer than <number> % of the maximum number of extents can still be allocated.
    16b.     <, <=         <number>        <none>
Fewer than <number> extents can still be allocated.
Note: The check condition TOO_MANY_EXTENTS has only an informative role for locally managed tablespaces (LMTS), where the max extents attribute is set to UNLIMITED and the next extents size is determined automatically by Oracle. As a result, the number of extents is no longer a critical factor for LMTS."
Given that you've performed a proper notes search yourself before posting this question I really wonder, why you did not find this information...
So, to finally answer your question: just put the MAXEXTENTS value to UNLIMITED or reorganize the tables/indexes into a locally managed tablespace.
And please start reading the DBA documenation for SAP on Oracle!

    Lars

  • MRP Relevance for Storage Location

    All SAP Gurus,
In SPRO where we need to maintain MRP Relevance for Storage Location?
    Regards,

    Dear,
Check transaction OMIR - Storage location - MRP relevance.
    In detail:
To control whether a particular storage location will be included or excluded from the MRP run.  (MD02/MD41).
To exclude it from MRP run follow the steps:-
OMIR - Define storage location MRP per plant
Put the MRP ind. as.         1 - storage location stock excluded for MRP
To include it from MRP run:-
OMIR - Define storage location MRP per plant
Put the MRP ind. as.      space - storage location stock also planned at plant level and save it
Next go to transaction MM01 - tick only view MRP 2
Key in Plant and Storage Location
Look at the Storage Location MRP section
change the SLoc MRP indicator to space  and save it
MMD1 - Create MRP Profile - MRP profile is a useful entry aid and makes it easier to manage MRP data.
You define which fields are filled with values when MRP data is entered in the material master record, which of these values can be overwritten and which not.   You use the information stored in a profile is standard information that is needed again and again in similar constellations when material master records are maintained.

  • PO purchase order non MRP relevant

    Hi,
Is it possible to create a document type which is non MRP relevant? For instance, if we place an article XXXXXX in a NB purchase order, the article XXXXXX is MRP relevant and will be listed in MD04.
Is it now possible to create the article XXXXXX in for instance a ZUB purchase order and that it won't be listed in MD04?
We want to do this because we create a large order on which we place call offs. Now I know we could work with scheduling agreements, but it is in one way or another possible to create a purchasing document in which items are non MRP relevant?

    Hi,
The relevancy doesn't depend on the document type. If you create a PO with account assignment, the PO won't appear on MRP list (generally). If you receive goods against this PO your stock won't change (increanse).
You should describe your business requirement because I don't think that scheduling agreement and PO that doesn't appear on MRP list are sensible alternatives for the same solution.

  • How to make ECC subcon delivery NOT MRP relevant?

Experts, need help to make the ECC subcontracting delivery (LB) that moves components from plant to vendor to be MRP irrelevant so it doesn't go to APO.
    Any idea?

    Aparna
Thanks for your response.  I thought about this solution, but before I try it I want to use the standard way if possible.
If you read the following SAP help document, it says Subcon components delivery doesn't come to APO.
That's why I want to find out why it's coming to APO and how to stop it in standard way.
(http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm70/helpdata/en/62/5759394ba2cd4ae10000000a114084/frameset.htm, choose subcontracting with source location in SNP)
    4.      Sending the subcontracting components to the vendor
    ○       If you work with MRP areas for subcontractors in the SAP R/3 system, the following processes take place in the latter system: a delivery is created for the stock transfer reservation, picking takes place for this delivery, and a goods issue is posted. The subcontracting components are transferred from plant stock to the stock of material provided to the vendor (subcontracting stock/stock with subcontractor). Since the delivery is not MRP-relevant, it does not appear in the SAP SCM system.
    ○     If you do not work with MRP areas for subcontractors in the SAP R/3 system, the subcontracting components are transferred directly from u201Dplant stocku201D to u201Dstock of material provided to vendoru201D.
In each case, u201Dstock of material provided to vendoru201D shows a plus and u201Dplant stocku201D is reduced.

  • No sales orders with MRP-relevant requirements were found MD04

    Hello MM Enthusiast,
We are in process of EHP upgradation and I need to replicate the following error message,
No sales orders with MRP-relevant requirements were found
    Error message MF 336
Please let me know how to get the above message in S environment.
I have gone through the already discussed thread (http://scn.sap.com/thread/3460655) but couldn't able to get the message MF 336.
Based on your response I can replicate and apply the causing / resolving note given by SAP AG.
Looking forward to your valuable input to proceed further on this issue
    Cheers,
    Kumar S

This issue was solved using a different availability checking rule in MRP3 of the material master.
the old checking rule  had a requirements summary, while the new was for individual requirements, this setting is defined in OVZ2 customizing transaction.
Hence you need to enter a checking rule in your material master which has a A as sales requirement in OVZ2.
then create 2 or more new sales orders for this item for the same delivery date.
After that you should get the error in MD04

  • Showing non-MRP relevant Schedule Line category in MD04

We have a business requirement to show Quotations of non-MRP relevant schedule line category in MD04. We are at an initial stage of design. Is it possible to use any of the user-exits (during MD04 opening) that we can use to display such elements ? We were unable to find any workaround with the Select Filter option.

    Hi,
You might need to use program: SDRQCR21 to delete those faulty SO which appear in MD04. You may go to tcode:SA38 to run the program.
You may refer to my printscreen below for better understanding if you wish to.
    Thanks.

  • Shipment tracking without MRP relevance

I have a Shipment with associated Deliveries.  The deliveries are based on Schedulung Agreements, which have Confirmation Control keys assigned.
I have to mark the confirmation control key as being relevant for Tracking to get the tracking available on the Shipment.  The problem is that I also have to mark the confirmation control key as MRP relevant, which means that everytime I update the tracking of the shipment, MRP and the demand gets affected.
What I want to do is track the shipment as an internal information only, using the standard functions and not have MRP affected.
When I try to set it an error is displayed that does not let me save.
As far as I can find there is nothing in the SAP Help, nothing on the notes and nothing here in the SDN.
Can you please assist me in setting this or finding a easy standard solution.
    Your assistance would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Would you know if/which user-exit or any other functionality can be called during MRP runs to manipulate the data at delivery schedules?
I was trying eg. 'EXIT_SAPMM06E_013' or 'EXIT_SAPMM61X_001' but without success.

  • MRP relevance of special stocks

    Hi Experts,
I am working with project systems using Q stock.  When I move Q stock into a none MRP relevant storage location the stock is still used and netted in the MRP calculation.  The storage location is set to none relevant in OMIR, and also in the materials MRP4, I noticed the same behavior with E stock.  Is it simply that the special stock indicator is considered prior to the storage location, or is it something I can control.  The reason I don't want to drop the stocks into unrestricted is because we use generic materials in project stock and for E stock we are heavy VC users and the materials mean nothing once their link to the project/sales order is lost.  I want to be able to keep the link to the project/sales order while quality decisions made but to start the replanning process, specifically with lower level requirements
    Regards,
    Jez

    Hello Jez
    This is the standard behavior.
Both project stock and storage location planned separately or excluded from MRP are special stock segments and a planning element can only belong to one specific special stock segment.
Therefore, it is not possible to have a storage location planned separately on a project stock.
The workaround here is to use an MRP area. Generally, individual stocks are only possible on the plant MRP area, however, you can use the business function OPS_PS_CI_1 in the project system to achieve a work breakdown structure (WBS) account assignment on MRP area level.

  • Best MRP type and strategy to run MRP for component using PIR and forecast

    Hi Experts,
I want to run MRP for Component parts. I need to run MRP based on Planned independent requirements and Forecast Data.
Which is the best suited MRP type and strategy.
Please help to share bestpractices if any. thank you.
    Rayudu

    Hi,
is the components you are talking are Semi finished materials or Raw materials and Packing materials which are procured from vendors ???....
It is not a good idea to maintain planning strategy for Components which are part of BOM...these materials are automatically planned when the header materials of these components are planned....
If these components are not part of any BOM then you can try the option of using forecast based planning.. MRP type  VV and maintain the forecasting view in the material master
You can also explore the option of consumption based planning like manual or automatic reorder point planning...
    Thanks

  • MRP planning and Availability check

    Dear Friends ,
We are updating  Availablity check in the MRP view for all materials in materials master , While running MRP system is considering ATP check as per SPRO settings defined for Availablity check group .
Weare not conclude what is the relation for MRP run and availablity check , or  any seperate SPRO settings available for MRP on availablity.
If we not assigned the Availablity check in MRP view what will happen if  during MRP run ?
    thanks & regards
    Suresh Babu.S

    Suresh,
MRP does not look at what you have configured for Availability check. These two are independent from each other.
    As given in Help,
In the planning run, the system carries out the following partial processes:
    1. The system checks the planning file entries. Here, the system checks to see whether a material has been changed in some way relevant to MRP and should therefore be included in the planning run (see Checking the Planning File Entries).
    2. The system carries out a net requirements calculation for every material. Here, the system checks to see whether the requirement quantity is covered by available warehouse stock and fixed receipts from Purchasing or production. If the requirement quantity is not covered, the system creates a procurement proposal (see Net Requirements Calculation).
    3. Then the system carries out the lot-sizing calculation. Here, the system takes the lot-sizing procedure and, if necessary, the rounding up or down values into account (see Lot-Sizing Calculation).
The system carries out scheduling to calculate the start and finish dates of the procurement proposals (see Scheduling).
    4. The system determines the type of procurement proposals. Depending on the settings, the system creates either planned orders, purchase requisitions or schedule lines for a material (see Determining the Procurement Proposal). If you have maintained the necessary specifications for procurement quota arrangements, the system determines the source of supply which it assigns to the procurement proposal (see Quota Arrangements).
    5. The system recognizes critical situations which the planner has to processes manually in the planning results. For this purpose, the system creates exception messages and carries out a rescheduling check (see Creating Exception Messages and Rescheduling Check).
Availability check is not a planning process, it is basically a CHECK, based on the Scope of check derived for that Particular transaction, system check the availability of a material and it can confirm or propose the possible availability date.
In short if a material is defined with Check Group "KP", but with MRP type PD, still MRP would creates procurement proposals if the demand is more than the stock+recipets.

  • MRP Type and procurement type  tabs in mmd

    Hello Experts,
I was trying to check the MRP Type for a material master.
In MM01, I could not locate such a tab. I think I have seen it before.
I have entered most of the selection info like Material code etc.
Or is it that MRP type is not visible from material master?
    What if its blank?
I check the MARC table for the material code and the MRP type is blank.
Also, in which tab can I maintain the procurement type? Could not find such a field in mmd.
    Have a nice day everyone.
    regards
    Bass

    Hi,
MRP type and Procurement type are under tab MRP 1 & MRP 2 respectively in material master.
Check MRP1/2/3/4 tabs all information you need is there.

I need the BAPI or CLASS by which we get those displaying values in Hierarchy VIEW...
    Please help me,

    Hi,
You can find out the relevant UI component, Enhancement set and View by pressing F2 button on the relevant field for which you wnat to discover the related UI Class.
Then using the tcode:- BSP_WD_CMPWB  you need to enter the  BSP Workbench.
In the workbench, enter the values of the Component and the Enhancement Set and click on display.
Then in the next screen you will see all the relevant sections for that Component.
    Expand the Views.
Double click on your view, which you figured out at the very beginning.
On the right side you will see the Implementation class name.
Double click on the Class name and you will see the methods under that class.
For your particular request, i found the class to be "L_CPG_MAIN_OPOVERVIEW_IMPL"
Let me know if this helps.
