Some time after closing tab a popup shows up:
ASSERT: Giving up waiting for the tab closing animation to finish (bug 608589)
Stack Trace:
0:([object XULElement],[object XULElement],1)
Sometimes the last argument is -1 instead of 1.

This issue can be caused by an extension (TabMixPlus) that isn't working properly.

Happening since I went to the 4.0b9 beta. Thanks for any help in getting rid of it.

They're still working on fixing that Bug - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=608589 - a fix for another Bug - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=613888 - landed earlier this week which might have fixed it. Unless you are willing to install a nightly Trunk which has the latest fixes, you'll have to wait for 4.0b10 for the fix.

A work around is goto about:config
toggle the following line so that it is set to false.
browser.tabs.animate

After downloading Firefox ver: 4.0b9, this alert keeps poping up. Never had it on 4.0b6. This happens two to three times as I back space to another page. A real pain. Going back to 4.0b6.

SRM Contract Creation Assertion Failed Error

Hi Experts,
We are using SRM 7.0 with ERP 6.0 extended Classic Scenario. While Creating Contract, There is a tab Conditions both in header and Item level. When I select any Condition Type in that, I am getting error as "Assertion Failed". I applied SAP Note 1559475 but still Problem remains the same. It looks like some web dynpro component error or missing. Is there any other note for this ?
Can somebody help me with the solutions ?

I am still not able to solve this issue, I have raised OSS message for the same, SAP has suggested me to implement the note 1559475 but after Implementing this note also, my error is not yet resolved, If you get any solution, Please let me know, If I get anything, will share with you.

Assertion Failed: Lr3.4.1

Windows 7
Lightroom 3.4.1
EHD: Iomega 1Tb
Had decided to import images in a different way.
Attached my Iomega external hard drive, all running smoothly.
Inserted memory card into memory card reader.
Physically opened Lr (It is not set to auto import).
Lr read the Iomega EHD.
Images appeared in the Library module, ready for import.
Choose destination:
1) Computer, Users, Asus (that's me), Iomega HDD.
2) Clicked onto Iomega HDD name.
2) Make New Folder -- named appropriately. Subfolders to be created as usual, by date.
Pressed Import button in Lr. Imported successfully.
Whilst Iomega still attached, did some culling, all okay.
Then decided to work on an image from that particular import session, to make sure it works whilst the Iomega is attached and running (the skeptic in me!).
Chose image.
Created virtual copy.
Clicked onto virtual copy and pressed the Develop module header.
Received message: Assertion failed.
Clicking onto any other image in that import session library of images (there were a few subfolders), and pressing Develop module header, produced the same message.
Have not done anything since.
What is the problem, and how can I rectify it, please?
I will open Lr today, with the Iomega attached, and try again.

Opened Lr3.4.1. again with Iomega attached and running.
Worked on an Iomega-located image in Develop module, without any problems, including exporting in usual manner.
All is well.
My view: All the importing, around 1Gb of images, and then culling that lot quite drastically, and then trying to work on an image, was asking quite a lot of the program on my small 2Gb RAM PC attached to an EHD via USB, despite background running programs having been disabled. As I thought, closing the program, which asked me to backup the catalog which I did, was the 'rest' it needed to consolidate all that information.
However, have updated to version 3.6, as suggested by Mr Shewe. All has installed well ,and working on and exporting a number of images without any issues.

Getting Assertion Failed Message..(Experts urjent help plz)

We are migrating 4.5 forms to 10g.
In one of the 10g converted form, i have a push button calling another form which is not available.(i dont have any other code, just a call_form)
say,
call_form('abcd.fmx');
when i run the form and click the push button once, am getting the error message "cannot read form abcd.fmx", but if i click the button again am getting the following error and the form hangs.

Am running the form standalone in my windows desktop.
I have also tried the form name without .fmx extension and still am getting the same error.
Actually i have narrowed down the issue now.
Issue:
If i have a call_form in 2nd window(i.e not in first window) then if i click that call_form button twice, i will get the error that i told above.
My form version is:
Forms [32 Bit] Version 9.0.4.0.19 (Production)
My test form has canvas1 and canvas2 assigned to window1 and window2 respectively.
I have a block with one textitem and one button having code call_form('xyz.fmx');
textitem is in canvas1 and button in cavas2.Now when i run the form, i will get canvas1 with text item displayed, if i click tab, i will go to the next canvas where i have call_form button.Now i press button once, i get error message"cannot read..", now i press it again and i get the "Assertion Failed...."
I hope it is clear.

Getting javaxx.servlet.ServletException: Assertion Failed on Portal 7

I am currently trying to run the Search Robot to crawl specific websites. I was able to add specific urls but all of a sudden I am getting an error when selecting the "Sites" tab under the "Robot" tab associated with the default Search Server, "search1". The error message is as follows:
[date time] failure {25130} for host xx.xx.xx.xx trying to POST /psconsole/faces/search/RobotHome.jsp, service-j2ee reports: ApplicationDispatcher[psconsole] WEB2649: Servlet.service() for servlet jsp threw exception javax.servlet.ServletException: Assertion Failed ....................................
If I select any other tab within the search1 server screen, I am able to see what I need to see, but when I select the "sites" tab I get an application error.
Has anyone had this problem within Portal 7?

we've found the problem: the project consist of 2 DCs, in the dependecies part in "component property" I hadn't checked the "runtime" for the dependency between the DCs.
Now it works fine!

SWPM - System Copy - Assertion Failed Unable to load database

I am executing a sysetm copy (DB-refresh) on ASE using SWPM.
However, in "Configure Components" step I get the error: Assertion failed. Unable to load database <SID of Target Sysetm>.
Where else can I check for errors?
I think it is still something on which I already worked (with other thread).

I did a few tests again yesterday, and it was really a stupid mistake from myside.
The error message did mean, that there wasn't enough space.
It isn't the authority issue, it was a leak of space.
FYI, the complete DB-Size of Source System is required - NOT JUST RESERVED SPACE!!!

Internal error: assertion failed - still won't work in LR4

When I try to export an image from LR4 I get the "internal error: assertion failed" error. I'm running Lion 10.7.3 on a MacBook.
I started by reading the thread at:

tinaTS offered what she thought was the correct fix but her suggestion didn't apply to my situation. She suggested moving user presets but I don't have any to move.
I also tried the basic “repair permissions” and Lion restart with no luck.
Kirk Marcus suggested removing the com.adobe.Lightroom4.plist from my library. This didn't help, still getting the error.
Then I removed these files as well:
com.adobe.Lightroom3.plist
com.adobe.Lightroom2.plist
com.adobe.Lightroom3.LSSharedFileList.plist
com.adobe.Lightroom3.plist.lockfile
None of that helped.
I tried removing all files that began with com.adobe.Lightroom and then creating a new library and just importing one picture but I still get the same "internal error" VERY FRUSTRATING.
Obviously, the program is worthless to me if I can't export images.
Additional suggestions would be appreciated. I see that lots of people on the internet are having this problem but none of the suggestions I've found so far have been of any help.

Is there a way to force applications to use window opening (and closing) animations?

I'm not a big fan of the fact that most of the time, when windows open, they don't display any sort of animation, and pretty much nothing has a closing animation.
Is there any way to force all apps to use some sort of animations, and also, is there a way to enable window closing animations?
It just kind of bothers me, probably because of that fact that I just abandoned Windows 8 for OS X.

Those are left and right double curly quotes.
Yes, you have to hit each instance, but it will be click-to-continue except on mismatch.

"Assertion failed" error when executing a simple UCI program

I am using a simple UCI program (tt1.c) with Xmath version 7.0.1 on Sloaris 2.8 that performs the followings:
- Start Xmath701
- Sleep 10 Seconds
- Load a sysbuild model
- Stop Xmath
I am calling the uci executable using the following command:
> /usr/local/apps/matrixx-7.0.1/bin/xmath -call tt1 &
In this way everything works fine and the following printouts from the program are produced.

All the processes (tt1, XMATH, xmath_mon, and sysbld) terminate correctly.
The problem occurs if the 10 second wait after starting xmath is omitted:
- Start Xmath701
- Load a sysbuild model
- Stop Xmath
This results to the following printouts:

1- What is "Assertion failed: file "/vob1/xm/ipc/ipc.cxx", line 420 errno 0" and why is that produced?
2- Should the UCI program waits for end of sysbld initialization before issuing commands?
3- If the answer to the above question is yes, is there a way to check the termination of sysbld initialization?

I tracked down the problem and it is a race condition between the many processes being started up. A smaller delay should also solve the problem. Or, maybe do something else before the first 'load'. The 'load' command tries to launch systembuild and causes the race condition.

How do I get my catalog of images on lightroom 2 when it says assertion failed?

I am unable to get to my images in lightroom 2. It is telling me assertion failed. I need some assistance. I had no trouble with it yesterday. Someone was on my computer and they may have renamed a file. I need these images.
