Asset Deletion in TCode AS06

Hi,
We use 0ASSET_ATTR_TEXT standard datasource to delta load asset master data everyday. But we found that ECC provides a TCode AS06 to delete an asset. Once the asset is deleted, you cannot find it even in table ANLA. In this case, the delta update cannot update this record (because it is deleted). We have an analysis based on 0Asset, so we want to know how to deal with such situation. Thanks.

1: Sorting of record.
Yes, this is real business scenario where my user having a lot of material which need to have the price condition maintain and this list was not sorted by material number. While she is entering the record with the sequence listed in her list, sometimes as accidentally press ENTER before keying in the price, then SAP sorted the list according to material and she is having tough time to search for it (as the list is now not the same as the SAP list).
Please maintain conditon via vk32, then it will prevent that happening
2: Deletion of record.
I am sorry to have confused everyone here, this is not deletion, but would rather overwrite/replacement of a record in VK11. While user has reliase that there were a record (material number) which has been entered wrongly and would like to correct it, so what she will does is to change the record (material number) to the correct ones and SAP now come out two records, one is the original ones which is wrong material number and another ones with the correct material number.
(this is the confusion raised by user on why when I replace the material number, SAP give me two records? and why I must use delete line function than the direct replacement??
Are you sure about this, how it could be,once the condition created, then you wants go to vk12 to change, only amount,valid from and valid to can be revised,as I said before, for your scenario, you should delete the existing record via vk12, then create a brand new one with correct material number, hope it helps.

There is no BAPI for it: just for creation, change, get list and detail.
I had the same doubt and then I tried FM AM_ASSET_DELETE_FROM_AI but it asks for a "AI_ID" which I don't have during execution time.
If possible, do a Batch Input to AS06 as it is very simple.

Legacy asset deletion after AS91

Hi All,
How to delete few assets after loading thru AS91. ( As 60 records are duplicated Input file issue- Basically I dont want to delete all 9000 records )
Tcode AS06 does not allow me to delete with a message values are there. The SAP message is cryptic and they mentioned use the Transaction to change old asset and then delete - but not mentioned the Tcode.
Tried to delete after deactivation also but didnt work.

Hi,
Despoina.
First of all tell one thing that does your all assets having values ? If values are there for those assets ,
go to AS92 click on take over values button then make all fields ZERO and save.
Come to AS06 put asset number and select option from Physically delet asset.

Asset deletion

Hi friends,
i create an asset and it's value with AS91. now I need to delete it physically. When I delete it via AS06, the system disallowed it. But I found in the message
"You may need to temporarily remove the setting of the indicator "recalculate depreciation in past years" in certain depreciation areas in company code Y001 . This is done in FI-AA Customizing.Then physically delete the group asset."
I cannot find the indicator, could anyone tell me that indicator? thank you in advance!.

Please refer to the following explanation:
Asset blocking: Set the blocking indicator in the asset master record. Once the blocking indicator is set, you can no longer post acquisitions to this asset. The idea behind this, for example, is to prevent future postings to an asset under construction once the project is complete. After approval, the asset can be unblocked and reuse it again.
Asset deletion: You can delete an asset master record to which no postings have been made, directly online, without archiving. In addition, it is also possible to manually delete old assets (legacy assets from your previous system) during the asset data transfer process.

Asset Deletion for AS91

Hi Guys,
We have created some assets using AS91 and then through OASV.
However we want to delete those assets now and however we cannot use AS06 to delete these assets.
Please let us know how such assets can be deleted from the system?
Can they be deleted at all?

Hi,
Try to remove values from takeover values tab and in cap date field.
Then try AS06 to delete that asset.
If you could not able to remove cap date, then go to tbale ANLA and choose that asset row and remove cap date in that field manully with the help of your tech guy.

Hi SAP Guru,
Asset ,which has value/transaction, cannot be deleted.
For example :
For Asset A you have maintain the master data.
And then you post acquisition transaction into the Asset A. This Asset A cannot be deleted anymore eventhough you reversed the transaction.
If there is no transaction posted to the asset, then you can delete it using t-code : AS06

BAPI for asset disposal through tcode F-92

Is there any BAPI to perform asset disposal that posted in tcode F-92 in foreground with asset transaction type = 210? I found this BAPI BAPI_ASSET_RETIREMENT_POST however i did not find the field to enter the posting key + gl account info for double entry.

Mass deletion of TCode from roles

Hi
I would like to remove a certain Tcode from a list of roles. I would not like to do this manually (PFCG'ing every role). Is there another way by which this requirement can be taken care of?
Can a ABAP program be created for this (thru table AGR_TCODES)

From what I understand Tcode removal is a manual process (at the most what one can do is to search through the binoculars in the Menu tab to see if the Tcode is present and then manually scroll down to identify the Tcode and then delete the same)
How can a CATT script search for a Tcode to be removed?

Update Asset Values through TCode AS92

HI all,
We would like to update Asset values ( Depreciation values) based on depreciation areas through Tcode AS92.
Can some one suggest a Function module or any alternative to do the same. Would like to get help at the earliest.

I think that you are trying to post prior-year assets.
You can use the standard programs:
RAALTD01 - Batch Input
RAALTD11 - Direct Input
Or take a look at these FMs:
BAPI_FIXEDASSET_CREATE1
BAPI_FIXEDASSET_OVRTAKE_CREATE
Also, since FS91 is simple you can do a BDC recording!

Delete a tcode from transport request

I have accidently assigned a transaction, which belongs to
tax report to the transport of sapscript. How do I remove the transaction.
I have tried to delete from the menu, but the System says, I am not authorized.
Is there any other way to remove the transaction from the transport

Go to Tcode SE09 and click display.
U will see ur TR number .
OPen the + sign. YOu will see the object that is the tcode which is addeed wrongly,
Place the cursor on it and click delete button.

Library asset delete feature would be nice

Unless I am missing something, I can't delete a library asset. I gets pretty cluttered as the design progresses. Is the delete feature going to be incorporated in the final build?

The ability to delete items from the library is something we've been talking about, so it's good to hear you've run into this, too.
Currently, the way to get old items out of your library panel is to switch to code view, expand the project in your project navigator panel, expand the src folder, images and swfs will be in the assets folder, components in their own folder. Select the desired item and use the context menu to delete it.
Be careful with this, though, it's possible to break your project if you delete the wrong assets. It's kind of a 'secret back-door', so I wouldn't recommend relying on this technique...
