Assign Computername automatically

Hello Newsgroup,
I´m new here. I have started a few weeks ago
to look at the SCCM 2012.
I have installed and configured the server.
Now I have created the operating system image
successfully. I have also created the
system variable for the computer name that I can
specify this. Now to my question.
Is it possible to specify the computer name
at a central location and then pass
this automatically? I work for 14 years
withe software distribution "DSM7" from FrontRange Solutions.
There exists innately a
database that I can query using variables. But there is nothing in
SCCM. Do I have to enter manually
on every PC the name of the variable?

There are many ways to make sure that the computer gets a name. One way is to pre-populate the machine entry in SCCM before you run the Task Sequence. Another way is to look at this link
http://www.scconfigmgr.com/2013/06/03/automate-computer-name-during-osd-in-configmgr-2012-with-powershell/
In general you can do this in three ways:
Script that looks up previously named PCs in Active Directory or "calculates" the name based on serial number or stuff like that. Reference:

Hope it helps!

  • EBS statement Assign to Automatic payment programme?

    Hello,
    The requirment of customer when i run automatic payment progrmme customer want electronic bank statement. in statement detail information bank account of company. how to assign electronic bank statement to automatic payment programme.if any configuration  please give me detail .
    Regards.
    Shailesh.

    Hello,
    Both are different. Automatic Payment program is outgoing and electronic bank statement is incoming.
    There is no direct linkage. For electronic bank statement, you are not the initiator. Your bank is the initiator. Unless, you have the inputs from Bank, you cannot upload the electronic bank statement.
    Anyway, the following information may be useful for your electronic bank statement configuration.
    Hello,
    There are different programs to upload electronic bank statement.
    FF.5 or FF_5.
    I think your case Multicash format you are using.
    You need have three files in FF.5 and two files in FF_5
    You can prepare a Z program in order to truncate the electronic bank statement into two or three part files and save them on the application server.
    1. Take all the external codes list from bank.
    2. Take any available documentation from the Bank describing the relevance of the external codes.
    3. Make sure that your Chart of Accounts (Bank Accounts) last digits logic is appropriate to meet the requirements.
    4. Based on this decide the Account Symbols that are required to be created.
    5. Make sure that the masking rules are configured properly.
    6. Decide the posting rules that needs to be created.
    7. Link up your external symbols provided by the bank with Posting rules and give proper algorithms for posting and clearing logic.
    6. Concentrate on the posting areas to be posted while uploading the bank statement.
    Further explanation would help you to understand the functionality when uploaded the electronic bank statement.
    Main purpose of uploading the bank statement into SAP is to make your Bank Main Account and physical bank statement balance in sync.
    You do not have any traditional Bank Reconciliation Statement (BRS) report in SAP.
    SAP is normally you maintain bank main account and bank sub account. Whenever you make a payment through F-53 or F-58 or F110, the entry would be:
    Vendor Account Dr
    To Bank Sub Account
    The ending digits of the sub-account would be important in configuring the masking rule. Based on this masking rule when you upload the bank statement the entry the system would pass is:
    Bank Sub Account Dr
    To Bank Main Account
    It depends on the configuration, either the sub account will be cleared by the system automatically or you need to run F.13 to clear the sub accounts.
    At the time of receipts, you have different accounting entries unlike payments. It needs to post to two posting areas. 1. GL Accounting 2. Sub-Ledger Accounting
    The entries would system itself pass is:
    Bank Main Account Dr
    To Bank Sub Account
    Bank Sub Account Dr
    To Cutomer account.
    Clearing logic mentioned for your posting rules and the alogrithm used for your external bank symbols will also play pivotal role in clearing the accounts.
    Ideally you will use
    FF67 / FF.5 / FF_5 for uploading manual or electronic bank statement
    FEBA / FEBA_BANK_STATEMENT is used for furthe rprocessing.
    GO THROUGH SAP NOTE 48854
    Please go through SAP Note. 48854. You will get an idea regarding the functionality of the algorithms.
    Though this note is in relevant to GB specific, you will find this very useful.
    description follows below regarding the normal procedure for maintaining table T028G. Due to the different bank codes and posting rules, pre-Customizing is not possible at this point.
    The following processing types are available - unless stated otherwise, you should use the interpretation algorithm: '000 - No interpretation' in each case.
    1. '00': There is no processing. The entry line is ignored.
    2. '01': A validation is made whether an entry exists for the transferred check number in the check table (PAYR). The check number and payment document number are transferred for further processing. Interpretation algorithm: outgoing check processing '011'-'013'; the update in the check file is via the interpretation algorithm.
    3. '02': Transfer of the ending balance to the electronic bank statement
    4. '03': Transfer of the opening balance to the electronic bank statement
    5. '04': Clearing via the allocation number which is delivered with the bank statement. No interpretation algorithm.
    6. '05': Clearing of BACS payments or BACS bank collection. The reference text field is first read to ascertain whether it involves payments initiated by users or bank collection via BACS. Providing it does involve a cash transaction initiated by the user, the payment document numbers concerned are determined via the reference number and transferred as a reference to further processing. Interpretation algorithm: '000 - No interpretation' or '019 - Reference number DME'.
    Note
    To differentiate between the two procedures in table T028G, you have to maintain two separate entries.
    Example: the bank uses bank code '62' for cash receipts and for BACS bank collection.
    Ext. Transaction +/- sign Posting rule Int. Algorithm Processing type 62 + GB62 001 5
    62 SAPBACS + GB63 000 5
    7. '06': Bank costs or interest revenues
    Recommended interpretation algorithm: '000 - No interpretation'
    8. '07': Total amount of cash disbursements
    9. '08': Total amount of cash receipts
    10. '09': Items not paid
    Recommended interpretation algorithm: '000 - No interpretation'

  • Assigning identifiers automatically or using the base value in rules

    The question is rather simple. I want to order the instances of an entity. How these instances are ordered is unimportant. The problem is that the only information available about the instances is the age, which may be the some for multiple instances and thus makes it impossible to order. Is there anyway to assign an identifier automatically to apply this ordering, say from 0 ... the number of instances - 1 or is it possible to use the base value of an instance in rules?

    Once we get into the realm of "assign randomly" we're outside the scope of "repeatable business rules" which is what OPA is trying to allow you to automate.
    That said "out of the box" features to do either/both:
    1) random number generation;
    2) unique entity identification
    have both come up before. It would be worth communicating with your Oracle product rep to make sure they know about how desirable you would find those features.
    But it still sounds like you might be able to do this with rules...
    Is the "discount" variable or is a voucher simply for "free tickets"? If all vouchers are always just for "whole free tickets" then they can be treated anonymously very easily. You can then look at how many tickets you have and how many you can get for free and work sequentially down the list and remove the X most expensive tickets from the total price. If the last "free ticket" is the same price as some other ticket then from a "final price for all tickets perspective" there's no difference between getting all tickets at that price at number free/total number at that price * price and getting the number free for free + full price for the rest.
    So again, so long as you don't need to know which ticket and which voucher it is all possible. The major complexity is probably in constructing a "rank" but this can be done using an inferred relationship to identify a "rank" (ie the relationship identifies the set of other tickets with a greater value and then you can do an instancecount on the relationship to give you a rank).
    I'm assuming you're using 10.4?
    By "rank" I mean that the set (1, 2, 5, 5, 7, 9) would have the following "rank order" (1, 2, 3, 3, 5, 6) when ranking from smallest to largest.

  • Assign tasks automatically when vacation set for a user

    Hi,
    I've a requirement where user can set the vacation period and rules. When the vacation period starts, all the tasks already assigned to him should get REASSIGNED AUTOMATICALLY to the other user that we configured in the vacation rule. How can I achieve this? Please suggest me some ideas.
    Thanks

    Hi Bill,
    I am able to reassign/delegate the task to a SINGLE user programmatically using the below code.
    private void vacationTask(String taskAction) {
    String errorMessage = "Below users are not valid: ";
    boolean isFirstInvalidUser = true;
    FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    FacesMessage facesMessage = null;
    try {
    String contextStr = ADFWorklistBeanUtil.getWorklistContextId();
    IWorkflowServiceClient wfSvcClient = WorkflowService.getWorkflowServiceClient();
    ITaskQueryService querySvc = wfSvcClient.getTaskQueryService();
    ITaskService taskService = wfSvcClient.getTaskService();
    IWorkflowContext ctx = querySvc.getWorkflowContext(contextStr);
    String loggedInUser = ctx.getUser();
    List queryColumns = new ArrayList();
    queryColumns.add("TASKID");
    queryColumns.add("TASKNUMBER");
    queryColumns.add("TITLE");
    queryColumns.add("OUTCOME");
    List tasks = querySvc.queryTasks(ctx,queryColumns,null,ITaskQueryService.AssignmentFilter.MY,null,this.getTaskPredicate(),null,0,0);
    ITaskService taskSvc = wfSvcClient.getTaskService();
    for(int i = 0 ; i < tasks.size() ; i ++) {
    Task task = (Task)tasks.get(i);
    String title = task.getTitle();
    String taskId = task.getSystemAttributes().getTaskId();
    String userInputList = null;
    String[] usersList = null;
    if(this.getUserToAssign().getValue() != null) {
    userInputList = (String) this.getUserToAssign().getValue();
    usersList = userInputList.split(",");
    } else {
    facesMessage = new FacesMessage("No users list provided. Please provide atleast one userId to reassign the task(s). ");
    facesContext.addMessage(null, facesMessage);
    return;
    for(int j=0; j<usersList.length; j++) {
    String userToAssign = usersList[j];
    userToAssign = userToAssign.trim();
    if(userToAssign!=null) {
    UserBean userBean = new UserBean();
    boolean isUserValid = userBean.isValidUser(userToAssign);
    if(isUserValid) {
    List<TaskAssignee> assignees = new ArrayList<TaskAssignee>();
    TaskAssignee assignee = new TaskAssignee(userToAssign, IWorkflowConstants.IDENTITY_TYPE_USER);
    assignees.add(assignee);
    if(taskAction.equals(TASK_ACTION_REASSIGN)) {
    taskSvc.reassignTask(ctx, taskId, assignees) ;
    this.getConfirmMsg().setValue("The task(s) have been reassigned");
    else if(taskAction.equals(TASK_ACTION_DELEGATE)) {
    taskSvc.delegateTask(ctx, taskId, assignees);
    this.getConfirmMsg().setValue("The task(s) have been delegated");
    } else {
    if(isFirstInvalidUser)
    errorMessage = errorMessage + " " + userToAssign;
    else
    errorMessage = errorMessage + ", " + userToAssign;
    isFirstInvalidUser = false;
    if(!isFirstInvalidUser) {
    facesMessage = new FacesMessage(errorMessage);
    facesContext.addMessage(null, facesMessage);
    } else {
    this.getConfirmationPopup().show(new RichPopup.PopupHints());
    catch (Exception e) {
    //Handle any exceptions raised here...
    System.out.println("Caught workflow exception: "+e.getMessage());
    But, when I supply multiple uses separated by comma(,), the tasks are being assigned to the last user ONLY. Any idea why its happening.
    Thanks.

  • Assign roles automatically when user gets created

    Hello,
    I want to know if there is a way to assign basic roles to all the users in the system when they get created in the back end as well in the portal.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Rahul,
    There is no such way to assign automatically basic role to all users. You can go for tool sugested by Alex.
    And also you can check one solution if this works for you  that we have used in Past and proposed by business. In that if the Basic role is like end user role and needed for all portal users.  Then you can create on Template users (Type dialog)  . Then you can create the new users by copying the template user.

  • Multiple account assignment in automatic Service entry sheet

    In TRX VI01 I created a Shipping Cost document (SCD); this document automatically created a Service PO with account assignment category (AAC) "U" and also created a service entry sheet (SES) for this PO. The AAC in the SES is K.
    Since the PO and the SES are created automatically, I want to use a user exit, Bapi or similar to change the AAC to X and to enter multiple account assignment in the SES.
    Any user exit o Bapi that I can use to do this?
    Regards,

    I need the user exit in the SES no in the PO.

  • Query for users without a primary device assigned (through automatic affinity or manually assigned)

    I'm looking for either a way to query or a view of a collection that will show me a list of users who do not have a primary device affinity established.  Vise versa might work as well- query for devices that don't have primary users assigned.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you,
    DLovitt

    Using SCCM's PowerShell cmdlets, you can run something like this:
    $Devices = Get-CMDevice
    $FinalOutput = @()
    $Devices | % {
    $OutputObject = New-Object PSObject -Property @{
    Device = $_.Name
    LastUser = $_.UserName
    LastClientCheckTime = $_.LastClientCheckTime
    PrimaryUser = (Get-CMUserDeviceAffinity -DeviceName $_.Name).UniqueUserName
    $FinalOutput += $OutputObject
    $FinalOutput | export-csv $env:USERPROFILE\Desktop\ConfigMgrAffinityReport.csv -NoTypeInformation
    #End
    Which creates an output like the below.
    Once you have these items joined, its easy to filter out those without a Primary User.
    e.g.
    $FinalOutput | ? {$_.PrimaryUser -ne $null}

  • Field XABLN in delivery: how to not assign it automatically?

    Dear all,
    I've the folowing requirement:
    For some deliveries (the ones with accompany invoice- Italy scenario) it's not needed to generate Good issue slip data because the printing of the delivery note (delivery output ) is not necessary. Consequently in order to avoid the the generation of an unbroken sequence in XABLN association, the XABLN value shouldn't been created if the printing is not mandatory. Do you know (if it's possible) where can be it managed?
    Many thanks

    Edited by: Angelo Gaiatto on Sep 2, 2010 10:51 AM

    Hello,
    I don't it really matters if your print or do not print, each document must have the sequence number used.
    Think of this.  Don't need to print and then afterwards you do need to print!!

    HI,
    As  u r use the automatic payment program - and when u use the automatic payment program the check number are assign in automaticly.
    So this are assign when u do the check printing. So once u think the wrong number  are printed , u have to void the check number and write manual check and assign to the line item.
    FCHE - Voided Checks
    FCH5 - Manual Checks : Write manual check
    hope this is clear Assign some points.

  • SRM 7 automatically assign source of supply in SOCO

    Hi guru,
    I'm working with SRM 7.0 extended classic scenario and i have to transfer external requirements from backend SAP into SRM Sourcing Cockpit. In the SOCO I have to determine automatically the source of supply and the price.
    I read that in the SOCo the sources relevant are:
    1. contract
    2. interlinkage
    3. vendor list ( there isn't information of price)
    Could you please explain me how it works this functionality, and the priority in the determination of supply and price?
    Have you documentation about ?
    Thank in advance
    L.

    Hello,
    If there is only one source of supply available (it does not matter if it is contract or info record), system will assign it automatically.
    If there is more than one, you can press "proposed sources of supply" button and SRM will show all available sources of supply.
    Price will be taken from sources of supply in any case.

  • Can the cheques automatically assigned to Down payment F-48

    Is it possible automatic cheque assignnment of next cheque from the cheque lot.
    I know we need to assign the cheque FCH5  in another transaction or we need to pay from F-58 or for manual cheque payment we can use f-53 and FCH5 .
    How to assign cheque automatically while doing down payment(other than F110)

    Dear BSR,
    No the SAP Standard System does not allow You to create a check automatically for a Down Payment posting.
    The only think You can do is to create a Down Payment and then create manually by FCH5 a check to link to it.
    I hope this can help You.

  • E Portal User Administran--Automatic loss of assigned roles of users

    Hi All,
       Some users are losing assigned roles automatically without anybody modifying User administration part.This is happening frequently.
      My senior told me that
         "<b>roles are based on Active Directories. When Users move from one location to another there is change in the Active Directories.
    If Active directories do not get refreshed properly roles will be not come up.</b>"
    Please guide me.
    Thanks in advance,
    Gangadharayya.

    Hi Gangadharayya,
    Check the Unique ID of the user(whose role has lost) in the system Administration --> support -->support Desk -->
    User Management >Test component for UME objects
    Enter the user ID of the user(whose role has lost)in the Get User table. And click the 'Get' .
    And in the bottom of that screen you ll get the 'UME User toString' table. In that get the unique ID of the user and check this unique ID with the LDAP.
    Try the same steps from the role. Give the Role ID search in the 'Get Role ' column and click get. Now compare the unique IDs of the user.
