Assign & Monitor Work Request in 11g

This is my scenario:
A workrequest is created by a user, after its been created it has to be queued to a manager who will assign the work request to appropriate users and also monitor the work request till it is completed.
How this can be accomplished using Oracle BPM 11g. This is a New bie question, looking forward to your help.
Venkat

If you are using OIM 11gR2 please refer the below document. All steps are very clear with the screenshots.

  • Auto Assignement of Service Request to Engineers in CRMOD

    Hi all,
We have a requirment where client wants us to do Auto Assignement of Service Request to engineers based upon the availibility and workload of engineer.
For Example: If there are XX number of SR assigned to Engineer1 , then assign the new SR to Engineer2
Also if the Engineer 2 has no bandwidth then assign it to Engineer 3
Could you help me with some workaround for this in OD. Or if there any partner product who provides this functionality
    Thanks & Regards,
    Suchita

I have done this using Web Services / Java applying it to Team Member assignments for Opportunity. It would be a 90% plus fit that would have to be modified to apply to SRs. The rules are configurable by users as the rules are stored in a custom object in CRM On Demand. It is pretty slick and has been in production for about a year. It is a high volume client in a multi-tenent environment.
You can write any rules that you want and the most used rules are the ones that balance work load across users that have the same role (round robin assignments). There are other rules that assign by availability based on the calendar, shifts, skills, etc. the sky is the limit.
To create a new rule type requires writing a new method in java and adding the rule to the custom object. It is very flexible and extendable. The customer that is using it is extremely pleased with it.

  • Work request and Shutdown

    Hi All,
What is work request and Shut down/Overhaul in Plant Maintenance and what r the sub process in work request and Shut down/Overhaul.
    regards
    sunil

    Hi Sunil,
    1. Work request meqans a Notification. In most companies instead of Notification and MAintenance order, they call them as work request and work order.
    2. Shutdown / Turnaround referes to shutting down of a equipment or unit or plant or complex for total maintenance and overhaul. Most continuous process industries carry out a Turnaround once in 2-3 years.(or as it is suitable for them)
    3. To map a turnaround in SAP,
a.Create a project in PS module and create WBS depending on the number of major projects(or areas or plants etc..)
b.Assign the WBS to all the work requests or orders appropriately.
c.The cost of work order is settled to the WBS.
d.The project is controlled at work order and WBS level.
    Hope this answers your question.

  • Mini DVI to DVI monitor working

I have a Black MacBook running 10.7.3. I have ta Bookendz and a mini DVI to DVI aadpater and two differnet DVI cables. I have tried all combinations and can not get my LG monitor to display anything, it just goes into power saving mode. My MacBook sees the external monitor in the display prefernces, and even has the right resolution set. When I first had the monitor it wouldn't work through and I was going to send it back, but it just started working.
The monitor works fine when plugged into a Mac Mini, or through the HDMI and VGA ports when plugged into my MacBook. Any help greatly appreciated.

The mini-DVD to DVI adapter doesn't pass through the analog video signals needed for VGA, so won't work with a DVI to VGA adapter. All the control signals are there, so the display is recognized, but there will be no picture.
They could have used a DVI-D connector on the adapter, instead of DVD-I, so the DVI to VGA adapter wouldn't even plug in, but then it couldn't be used with some non-Apple LCDs, that use DVD-I connecters.

  • How to calculate the duration/age of a work request.

I need to calculate the actual resolution time in 'Days:Hours:Minutes' format, for the work requests which are being worked upon by the engineers working in my team. I am using MS-Excel (MS-Office 2013) for reporting. The tool from which I am exporting
the details shows the Open and Resolved time as MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS (3/20/2015 10:32:16 AM). I am sure this is one of the thing which is not that difficult and many reporting people are doing this. Thanks in advance for the assistance.
    Regards, Ankit Arora

Let's say that the Open date/time is in A2 and the Resolved date/time in B2.
The formula for the resolution time is =B2-A2
Format the cell with the formula with the custom number format d:hh:mm
This will work as long as the number of days is at most 31.

  • Reports who work in BIP 10G does not work in BIP 11G

    Hi!
We are in the middle of going from BIP 10G to BIP 11G (latest patch installed the 9 of february). We have used the Upgrade Assistant to migrate the reports from 10G to 11G, about 80-90% are working directly.
But, as always are there some problems. There are 2 major problems I am struggling with for the moment. 1 is long running reports who gets "Connection reset by peer" before the report ends and the more problematic which is this:

Does anyone have the solution for this type of error, we have about 30-40 reports that is behaving like this in BIP 11G but works fine in BIP 10G.
Can we do anything general in the BIP 11G or does we need to find the solution for each report and change in the template?
    All ideas are appreciated, thanks,
    Anders B

    Hi!
Have everyone out there been able to use the upgrade assistant without any problem?
The UA.bat program says everything is ok but the report actually created in BIP 10G does not work in BIP 11G. We are looking for documentation or "findings" of what the problem can be, in a more general way. We are aware of that we probably have to fix this manually, but we dont know what to fix, and it is not so "fun" to be forced to re create all this templates and reports. The datamodell seems for the most of the time works, so we get a working xml source but the creation of the report thru the template dont work.
    Best regards,
    Anders

  • How can I display assignment-level Work in hours and days in the same view?

I have a view based on Task Usage and I shows the Work figure for each resource assigned to a task.  My Options settings are to display Work in hours.  Want I'd like to do is have a custom field to calculate the equivalent number of days for each
assignment-level work value.  Our hours per day are 7.4 so the calculated field should be [Work]/7.4.  eg.
    Task Name >  Work         >  Work-days (Calc'd Field)
    Task 1
        Fred        >  7.4 hrs     >  1 days
I tried creating a Resource custom field to do this but what displays is the value of the Task-level Work and this same value is repeated on every assignment row.  MSP is not using the Work value of the assignment.
Is there a way to acheive this view?
    Thanks
    John

    You're welcome John.
You could have a calculated task custom field which could divid the work in hours by 7.4 hours, but even like this you couldn't add it to a usage view and it would be only at task level, not assignment. Maybe a VBA macro could switch automatically the option
    but I'm not sure.

  • HOW to temporarily use Broadcast monitoring work on snow leopard OS X v10.6.8  for  FINAL CUT PRO X

thx, macmacmac give me prompt. He had an interesting trick for getting the OS X Lion 'only' plugin to work on Snow Leopard
To install the plugin on Snow Leopard OS X 10.6.8 you have to temporarily change your system version number to Lion 10.7.2!
    1. Go to HD:/System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist
    2. Copy the file to the Desktop
    3. Open the original with a text editor and change the string value of 'ProductVersion' and 'ProductUserVisibleVersion' to '10.7.2'.
    4. Save & Overwrite.
I suddenly thought  Apple said that Broadcast monitoring work on Lion OS X v10.7.3.I change system version number at once! Changing 10.6.8 snow leopard system version number to Lion 10.7.2!
ok,no problem. Restart final cut pro x,A/V output has appeared in FINAL CUT PRO X preferences and Window Menu
    Enjoy it.HAHA!:cheer:

    thanks for the tip fan!

  • Twist: Can't make two external monitors work

I'm trying to get two external monitors to work with my twist. One is connected via mini-HDMI, the other using a Thunderbolt adapter (I've tried adapters for VGA, DVI and HDMI - same result). Only one external monitor (mini HMDI) works, although Win8 detects both (lists the grayed-out monitor make/model correctly). If I unplug either monitor, the other works fine.
Note that I am using an Apple Thunderbolt adapter, not the Lenovo Mini DisplayPort adapter. I use the Thunderbolt adapter with one monitor all the time.
I have two monitors working at another location; Mini DisplayPort -> VGA and USB -> SVGA.
Is the problem that I'm not using the Lenovo adapter, or is this never going to work? Thanks.

The Twist should support internal LCD + one external LCD (or 2 external LCD with displayport splitter) on at the same time.

  • Monitor works for one second, then blank

I have been reading many of the post people have put down about monitors and mac mini's, however can't find anyone with my problem.
I bought a mac mini and a cheap monitor from PC world, a Xerox 17" TFT, thinking that it would work fine. However when I connected them up using the DVI cable, at start up the monitor works for a second then blank. Turning it off and back on again brings the image back but again for just a second. This is annoying in that the mac mini is still in its welcome first run making it difficult to get beyond it to mess around with the monitor settings given a window of a second each time.
There was an adaptor that came with the monitor, but to use that I would have to plug that adaptor into the macs DVI adaptor as well, something I tryed but no luck, in fact no image at all.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I've had this problem too, resetting the PMU and PRAM usually helps:

    rm44 wrote:
The both screens always worked fine but now the power book doesn't show anything on the screen.  I didn't drop it or even move it.  Where is the brightness button?  Could I have hit it by mistake?
Thanks so much for your help.
F2 is the up-brightness button, F1 is the down-brightness button, usually, on PowerBooks.  If for some reason the F1 button got held down for a couple of seconds, the display would go completely dark.
That being said, if the backlight does not come up (easily determined by seeing if the Apple outline on the cover is lit up) then the most likely suspect would be the inverter board, or the connection to the inverter board.  If this is a Titanium PG G4, the inverter board is easy and relatively inexpensive to replace.  For the Aluminum models, I don't know if that is quite so true.
