Assigning Account Managers

I share a family plan and we each pay our share of the bill. We have our own My Verizon online profiles but my number is not the designated account owner. I wanted to know how to assign an account manager so I can tell the account owner how to do so and assign me one. I want to be able to do everything the account owner can do like see the actual bill, see upgrades, etc.
Anybody know how to do this and if I will be able to see these things when I am a manager?

Thanks to the community for your input! I can clear this up for everyone, once and for all. I know it's important for each user to have access to their My Verizon information. Additionally, there are times when the Account Owner would like someone else authorized on the account in order to assist with the maintenance on the account. Other times, the Account Owner wants to be the only one with full access to the account. So, we offer the Account Owner the option to add (or not add) an Account Manager on the account.
The person designated as the Account Owner of the online account is the one who can view all of the information about the account. This person sees "Hello (Name)! You are the Account Owner" when logging in to My Verizon. The other users will be able to have their own user name and password, but will only be able to view their own information on My Verizon. The Account Owner (and any Account Managers) are able to view all of the account information in My Verizon.
If you were to be added as an Account Manager in My Verizon, you would have access to make changes, without having to contact the Account Owner, call in to Customer Service, or viisit a store.
Customer Benefits:
Account Managers can manage their account at their convenience online. 
No need to call Customer Service or visit a store to make account changes.
In order for the Account Holder to add your name as an Account Manager, they can follow these steps in My Verizon, as long as they are logged in as the Account Owner.
Sign in to My Verizon. 
Locate the I Want To... section.
In the PROFILE column, click Assign Account Managers.
If an AM already exists, select the Add an Account Manager (3 Maximum) link.
Type the First and Last Name.
If you want to designate this user as an Online AM, do the following:
  Select a Mobile Number on the account to be associated with the AM. 
Type an Email Address for the AM.
  Select Next. 
Review and Accept Terms and Conditions.
Select Submit. A Confirmation page displays.
Select OK.
Note: My Verizon requires a billing passcode to be set up prior to assigning an Account Manager. The system prompts the user through this set up as needed.

  • Some GL A/C's are showing in B/S under Not-Assigned Accounts

    I am facing one issue regarding Financial statement/Balance Sheet GL accounts updation.
    100177-Inventory Repairs & 200402-Distribution GL accounts(Both are Balance Sheet items) are assigned In Financial Statement Version But they are not updating in the B/S Under Respective Heads.They are showing under Un-assigned Accounts.Plz help me that how can i bring this GL acocunt to under Respective Heads...

    Hi,
    U have to assign the accts in fse2 to appear in balancesheet or p&l . In it the acct can be assigned only once for dr & cr . It is showing unassigned means it is not assigned there. Go to fse2 assign the accts. tick dr and cr tick box.

  • How to make Account managers owners of Accounts through Account teams

    Hi,
    I've got a question regarding loading data. In my organisation only the admin can load new accounts. Account managers however are responsible of the accounts after the initial load. I want to use the account team funtionality (and not add an 'owner field' to the Account layout). But if I do that, it seems that I can only report (reports which deal with account/other relationships) on the intitial loader as owner and not on the account team.
    So my question is:
    Is it possible to remove the initial loader from the Account Team and make someone else main responisble, so I can report on them?
    I hope you guys can help me with my request. We're going live with our system in 2 days so all help will be appreciated!

    I'm kinda still stuck with the previous question. What do you do when Account managers (owners of accounts) change? I can't seem to remove current owners of accounts but can only add other Account managers to my Accounts.
    Does anyone how I can remove and change current owners?

    There is no straightforward out of the box way to do this.
    Accounts are instrinsically linked directly to a user and not a role. There is a DefaultNetworkAccounts config variable but this only applies to users who have logged in.
    Two options are
    1) a Java filter on 'alterUserCredentials' there is an example of this in the HowToComponents SecurityFilter
    2) User Credential Mapping (Not used this on 11g)
    Go to Administration > Credential Maps
    Create a new map with a Map Identifier of myMap
    Add the following lines to the map
    |#all|, %%
    @|#all|, @%%
    guest, @your_account(R)
    Add the following to config.cfg and restart
    ExternalCredentialsMap=myMap
    This should pull through all other existing roles/accounts and for guests it should give them R permissions to your_account
    Not tested it but from memory this should work

    I want trying to Assign Account Assignmebt to Depreciation Area using Transaction code ACSET.
    Details of the assignment i am trying to add are -
    Depreciation Area  - 15
    Account Assignment Object  - KOSTL
    Asset Transaction type - *
    Account Assignment type - 1 APC Value Postings
    When we try to add this custmising we are getting the following error - ."Account assignment type APC Values Posting is not allowed in depreciation area 15".
    The similar setting is possible for other chart of depreciation but the issue is only for the new chart of depreciation.
    Any help will be highly appreciated.

  • Can't set up Account Managers

    This does not work.  I entered the billing zip code and the last 4 of the social as required and the site just returned me to the same page.  This should be a simple process with the correct information (it is) but the site response was to return to the same page as if the information is incorrect.  Even when I just set up the site access it acted as if it would not accept the temporary password but apparently it did because it then let me change it. 
    It would be nice if this process actually worked but I set up my account and I CANNOT set up an account owner, despite entering the correct information.  It should be simple - enter the zip code and the last four of the social.  I did that and the site just returns me to the same page and don't tell me I don't know my own social.  I entered the correct information and I still have no one listed as the account owner so no one can make changes to the account, including myself as the owner and the one who pays the bill.

    I apologize for all the difficulties you had trying to set up account managers. Managing your account online is a great way to take control of you account. Let's get to the bottom of this so you can add the account managers to your account.
    In order to add account managers online you need to sign in as the account owner. Visit http://vz.to/1e1j3QA for instructions on how to add the account managers online via My Verizon.
    If you sign in to My Verizon are you able to view all the lines on the account and view your details bills? If so, that is the line that is set up as the account owner.
    If you are still unable to add the account manager or not sure which line is set up as the account owner, please follow me and send me a direct message with your name, number, and billing password so I can access the account. If you do not have a billing password set up on the account, please provide the last 4 digits of your social security number.
    I'm sure we can get this resolved in no time!

    Hmm. You could try with the DefaultAccounts variable which gives account privilege to every anonymous user, so basically to the one which logs for the first time. Haven't tried this myself but it could wok.
    From the idoc script reference manual:
    Location
    <install_dir>/config/config.cfg
    Example
    As a configuration setting, defines default account information:
    DefaultAccounts=BOS(R),SEA(RW),MSP/Gen(RWD)

    I have 400 cost centers. How to assign G/L Accounts to multiple cost centers, in Define G/L Accounts for Account assignment category and Product category?.
    I guess, By using BADI - BBP_DETERMINE_ACCT. If this is correct, Do we have to develop any ZTABLE for this. Or only BADI enough?.
    Please anyone explain details.

    Hi,
    Cost Center is related with user. Setting is attributes in PPOMA_BBP.
    G/L account is related with Product category and Account Assignment Category. Setting is in standard customizing table.
    If standard customizing is not enough, you can use BBP_DETERMINE_ACCT BADI.

    There will be one tax procedure for evey country not more

    That is your client requiremenrt & youur decision.
    Generally gl accounts will assigned for Book depreciation area.
    For Tax Depreciatin generally used for teh information purpose,
    for this Gl account assignment is not mandatory  for Taax depreciation,but you have to option to maintain gl accounts.

    The problem you mentioned could be due to one of the two reasons mentioned below:
    1) Material Master you entered is not extended (created ) for the accounting data view in MM01 for the plant you used in the PO line item
    2) It could be a warning message.  This message when you receive, you may double click the message which gives you a pop-up with details.  You may see the message number.  This message number can be controlled to warning or error or information type.  If warning or information type, you can still go ahead and create PO still bypassing that message.   In such a case, even if you have already satisfied by doing step#1, you may encounter message....

    You can go through following to get to tax codes and maintain them
    SPro- Financial Accounting- financial accounting global settings-Tax on sales and purchases-postings-define tax accounts.
    and select the method you want in the rules select tax code and make the entries.
