Assigning HU to Inbound Delivery

Hello everyone!
Could anyone please give me information how to assign a HU created via transaction HU02 to an inbound delivery (like VL32N).
I already tried some function modules (e.g. HU_DELIVERY_ATTRIBUTES_ADD, HU_ASSIGN_HUS_TO_OBJECT, etc). I think I just don't have the correct parameters.

Unable to reuse the de assigned HU in Inbound Delivery

Hello Experts,
I have one issue with HU. The scenario is, Inbound delivery is created for the PO, Scheduling Agreement, then batch split done and packed the material. To created for the inbound delivery and confirmed, while confirming the TO, GR took place.
Now I am reversing the inbound delivery in VL09 and in VL32N, deleted the HU assigned to it and deleted the batch split as well.
Now the status of the inbound delivery is "A" Not for put away. We want to use the same HU which was assigned earlier.
Could you please advise me whether is it possible? if so please guide me.
When I try to reuse the same HU, I am getting error message.

You can try and check out this in your steps.
Created inbound delivery, batch split done, packed the material. TO created and confirmed while doing so PGR happened.
Now I am reversing the inbound delivery in VL09, and then in VL32N selected u201CPACKu201D and now Processing of handling unit for inbound delivery so and so screen appears.
I have selected the HU and in the header selected HU --- Delete Assignment. Now am getting u201CDocument assignment of handling units cancelled" message.
Now save the delivery after you removed the assignment as per above steps.
Again go to chnage mode and try to pack the material with the HU it will alow you to pack.
Now coming back to the Inbound delivery overview screen. I have deleted the batch split. While deleting the batch split system gives the message u201C Item u201Cu2026u2026u201D has already been made available by a transfer order. But still I can delete that.
Ideally if you have reversed the delivery, then you should get the message Item u201Cu2026u2026u201D has already been made available by a transfer order.

I am trying to create Handling units from a excel file (article and quantity) and then to assign HU to Inbound delivery (inbound delivery is created for purchase order),HU's are getting created by BAPI_HU_CREATE
but how to attache HU to inbound delivery.

Default Movement type in inbound delivery

Dear Experts ,
Can anyone please tell me where in configuration is the movement type assigned against an inbound delivery .
My requirement is to change the defalut movement type 101 for GR against inbound del to 103 , but only for a particulat PO document type.
Eg PO doc type Z001 will have the defalut movement type in GR against inbound delivery as 103 .
for all other document types the movement type will be 101 .
Please suggets if it is possibel & how .

Hello Anis,
Generally, we go for movement type 103 for bolcking the goods reciept. As per SAP practice,we put the material in blocked stock, if we want to carry out inspection or before taking it into unrestriceted stock. Either way, we found a material which is faulty and we put it to blocked stock to return it back to vendor.
Why you want to go for blocked stock, during reciept, as generally blocked stock movement type is used after Goods reciept are done based on above explanation.
I guess, still if you want to use 103, you can do this either for particular vendor or for a particular material.
To do it at vendor level, you can mark blocked stock indicator in vendor master record, either for material you can set this indicator in material master record.

Assigning Handling Unit to Inbound delivery

Hi Guys,
My requirement is i need develop program which will t program which will take the mutliple Purchase orders/STOs and create a single inbound delivery. Acutally this will be done SAP transaction VL31N. But as it has sap enjoy transaction we can run write a bdc for this transaction. So I found one transaction VL34, which is taking the multiple POS, but..creating multiple deliveris i.e. a inbound delivery for each PO. So I copied this code in Z program and did the modifications to create a single inbound w.r.t. given purchase order numbers. But I found packing details are not getting updated.
So, now i need to assign the packing details (HU numbers) to created inbound delivery .
Any idea on this ?

Assigning Handling Unit to the Inbound Delivery

Could anyone please give me an example of code (using FM 'ws_delivery_update' and probably others) to assign a HU created by transaction HU02 (status PLND)to the inbound delivery (like VL32N).
After such assignment I want to create an appropriate Transfer Order to move the HU to the warehouse. In my case ws_delivery_update doesn't update the HU positions table VEPO-VBELN.
When tried to use FM 'L_TO_CREATE_DN' it just showed an error saying that 'No items or handling units to be placed in storage could be determined'.

What parameters have I missed? Please, help!

Purchase order and Inbound delivery

Hi gurus,
Im trying to create an inbound delivery with reference to purchase order. In the configuration i've created a new delivery type similar to EL and said Yes to all the copy controls that system asks. When im creating the inbound delivery with reference to the PO it is picking up the standard EL delivery type instead of the one that i created. What did i miss here? I want the inbound delivery type that i created be the default inbound delivery type for that particular order type.. pls suggest

Just check whether the newly created delivery type is assigned to the Confirmation Category LA under the below path:

Error during the replication of inbound delivery document to GTS

While trying to transfer an inbound delivery from the feeder system to the GTS system, I am getting the following error, eventhough the customs document type TRLOIM is assigned to the Feeder sys doc type EL, at application level MM0B in customs management. The inbound delivery document has been maintained with the Prev Doc Type T1 & Prem Doc No in the Foreign trade Data
Customs document type cannot be determined for external document type
Message no. /SAPSLL/API_INBOUND020

Hi Ram,
Please use OSS note1238850 to fix the issue, this error comes as your doc type EL is not getting transferred when you are sending I/B delivery.

New Condition TAble for Inbound Delivery

i want to maintain a new Condition table for the Inbound delivery picking with the combination of _Delivery type/Plant
so that the Inbound created for the particular plant alone uses the particular output type.
Where in IMG can i configure the new Condition table for this combination for the Inbound delivery ?

How to create shipment document with out inbound delivery document

Dear Friends
How to create shipment document with out outbound/inbound delivery document.
In my client scenario, there is no inbound delivery for normal purchases.
Just there are raising the PO to vendor, then they are doing MIGO for goods receipt.
Can we do shipment creation with reference to PO?
If it is possible, how it will be?
Please let it solve

Dear Sameer,
Please go to transaction VT01N here you enter Transportation planning point and shipment type then press enter.
Now system will take you to the shipment document creation screen here you click on Select deliveries or press F6 now system will take you to the select outbound deliveries screen in this screen you enter selection data then execute, now deliveries will get assigned to that shipment.
After assigning the deliveries enter the remaining data then complete the shipment finally save the shipment document.

Note:- Shipment process need to be carry out for the deliveries before PGI.

Error while creating TO w.r.t. Inbound delivery

Dear All,
As there is a requirement to track the pallet, a storage location with Handling unit management activated in it.
The storage unit management is also activated in the warehouse and storage type.
When initial entry of stock was uploaded in MB1C, an inbound delivery is created with the movement type 561.
But when we try to create a TO w.r.t. the inbound delivery(after assigning the packing material), system throws an error with
" No items or handling units to be placed in storage could be determined ".
(Or) Is there any way to track the pallets for which stock movements happen through Intra company STO's.

Config:
go to SPRO-MM-purchasing-Confirmation-setup confirmation control
here select the 10 and check the check box Create inb delivery
then select the line and click on the confirmation seq and make GR relevant, MRP relevant and GR assign (all three box checked)
Process Flow: -
1. ME21N - In PO, Confirmation Tab, select the confirmation control key as "Shipping Notification" or "Inbound Delivery"
2. VL31N - Create Inbound Delivery w.r.t. PO
3. MIGO - Goods Receipt > Inbound Delivery
If you dont select the conformation control key in the PO than system wont allow you to create the Inbound delivery agianst thePO.

PPF: automatically Putaway WT creation after distribution of the inbound delivery from ERP

I'm trying to test the PPF in order to create a putaway WT for an inbound delivery in EWM-System directly after its distribution from the ERP-System.

After this I try to disribute an inbound delivery from ERP to EWM, but as after distribution as after saving of the inboun delivery nothing happens.

I did some settings you and Alex proposed and now I can see than my action will be found when creating Outbound Delivery Order:
But even I have only one condition record to my action "PDO_01_WT_CREATE" it will not be fulfilled...log says
I also changed the GM status to NSNS...can I somehow find out which conditiontion the programm is claiming about?

Packing material in inbound delivery - intercompagny process with SPED

Hi,
I am processing intercompany stock transfer using SPED functionality, with automatic creation of inbound delivery.
Using HUM and WM storage location managed, I would like to add automatic packing material items in inbound delivery.
What I did already check:
1. there is a plant in HU (packing material type in transaction VHAR; plant determination: B).
2. there is an item category in HU (transaction 0184; following entry: EL / "blank" / PACK / / ELP -> Inbound delivery type EL, packing material has general item category group "blank" , then I expect item cat ELP in inbound delivery).
With these settings, automatic creation of inbound delivery does not work anymore: output SPED failed. Error message is VN056:
"Processing log for program /SPE/STO_ID_PROCESSING routine STO_ID_CREATION". When I check output analysis, it is mentioned for SPED : "Output ignored (requirement 408 not fulfilled)".
I also tried with following setting:
transaction 0184; delete previous setting; add following entry: EL / VERP / PACK / / ELP -> Inbound delivery type EL, packing material with general item category group VERP.
In that case, automatic inbound delivery creation OK but no packing material in it.
Any idea to help me?

A few years ago I got some help that got some Inbound delivery functionality working, but it was never put into production.
1. Receiving storage location specified on the STO.
2. Receiving points set up in the receiving plant: IMG > Logistics Execution > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Shipping Point & Goods Receiving Point Determination > Assign Goods Receiving Points for Inbound Deliveries.
3. On packaging material to be used the assigned packaging material group should coincide with the IMG setting of the packaging material type assigned to the packaging material group.
4. Assigned movement type 101 to the DIGN item category: IMG > Logistics Execution > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Deliveries > Define Item Categories for Deliveries
Other settings but not mandatory
1. In delivery copying control assigned source NL to target DIG: IMG > Logistics Execution > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Deliveries > Copying Control > Specify Copy Control for Deliveries > Define Item Categories for Deliveries
2. Make packing control mandatory for item category DIGN: IMG > Logistics Execution > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Deliveries > Packing > Packing Control by Item Category
3. HUM Required for Plant/Storage Location: IMG > Logistics General > Handling Unit Mgmt > Basics > Technical Basics > Materials Mgmt > Inventory Mgmt > HU Requirement for Storage Locations
In our process the HU was already created in the Outbound delivery for the STO. These HU were then copied to the Inbound delivery. It still works in our DEV client, but it's not being used. Hope it helps.
