ATP across orgs

Hi,
Need a help in understanding ATP functionality in ASCP (unconstraint), please see example below.
Org 1
Item A , Item Type = Make to Order Item , Check ATP= Material Only ,ATP Components=Material Only , Forecast Control =Consume & Derive
Item B Item Type =Internal Buy, Check ATP= Material Only, ATP Components=Material Only, Forecast Control =None, Sourcing Rule = Transfer from Org 2
Org 2
Item B Item Type =Internal Make, Check ATP= Material Only, ATP Components=Material Only, Forecast Control =CONSUME &DERIVE
Item C Item Type = Buy, Check ATP= Material Only, ATP Components=Material Only
When we perform ATP Inquiry for Item A in Org 1 (there is no material On hand for Item A & B in Org1), ATP just looking materials in org 1 up to item B then it's returning date with Material Constraint with out looking material availability in Org 2, so it's not checking across orgs my testing shows it's due to Forecast Control =CONSUME &DERIVE set for Item B in Org 2.
I have similar items for which Forecast Control flag at Org 2 set to none; ATP is working fine by looking all supply in two orgs before returning ship date.
Since item B is forecasted using ODP in Org 2 we set flag to Consume & Derive but not understanding why it will stop ATP to look across orgs.
Please advice.
Thanks,
Sudhakar

Have you got your sourcing rules and sourcing rule assignments set up so they model your entire supply chain? Eg in the org from which you are selling from, you need have a rule which says something like buy from another org and in that other org you need a sourcing rule and assignment which states where that org gets it from. Eg buy from a supplier.
Also try ATP in trace mode (available from tools menu) and ATP with planned data (vs collected data).

  • APO gATP vs R/3 ATP - To check sales order ATP across multiple plants

    Hi There,
I am trying to evaluate gATP functionality for SD sales orders.
The primary requirement is to have sales order ATP checking take place across multiple plants.
    E.G.
Sales order line is entered for qty 100
60 is available in plant A, 40 is available in plant B
System checks both plants and creates 2 lines - one for delivery from plant A and one for delivery from plant B
(we are currently heading down the road of writing ABAP to do this 'multi-plant' check in R/3 but the more complex the requirements get the more interested I am in understanding more about APO/gATP)
I would like to understand the benefit of implementing APO / gATP as opposed to using standard R/3 ATP and perhaps writing custom ABAP code to search for inventory across multiple plants.
I would appreciate any insight regarding what is required to setp gATP to perform such checking and any other feedback regarding this issue - especially if you have had to implement something similar at your company.
I have looked here but not much clear help:

    Thanks,
    Niall

    Hi Niall
you are probably looking at RBATP (Rule based ATP). Look at transaction /sapapo/rba04 in APO where you develop your own location and product substitution rules. Going down an ABAP road in R/3 may work short-term but not long-term as the requirements may get more complex.

  • Copy Cost across organisations

i have multiple orgs (104). The master is at Average cost along with 5 other orgs. the rest of the orgs are at standard cost. some of the standard cost orgs share the standard cost. can i copy a Pending cost across orgs and then update to frozen? i understand that with this i will have to update those at standard where the cost is different for the org.

You can run the copy cost to copy costs from one org to another and then run the std cost update to get cost into frozen. If you want the costs to be different then make the changes in Pending cost type before the update.

  • 1099 MultiOrg Info

I was wondering why when we run our 1099's (multiorg), it only runs then for one org at a time, instead of all of them. Of course, my concern is that a shared vendor across orgs will not be summed up, since we have to report it as one vendor for our single TAX Reporting id.

    Hi Agranshu,
1099's do not apply for Customer. It only applies for Vendors.  You may check the Accounting tab of the BP Master for the particular BP.
There would be a1099 Form and 1099 Box..If you have entries in them then the system is going to prompt you to enter Fed Tax Id.
The only way to resolve this is to enter the Fed Tax ID number

  • Moving items from sub-folder to inbox are disappearing

    Hello everyone,
We have exchange 2010 and we are having issue when user move item from sub-folder to inbox then the item just disappears. I have tested this at-least 3 mailboxes.
If i do this in outlook then it disappears right away. if i do this in OWA then it disappears in 10 seconds.  Sometimes it shows up in deleted folder but most of the time it doesn't but it always shows up in "recover deleted item" in outlook.
Please advise how to find what's going on. thanks

I don't think it is a Managed Folder Mailbox Policy which is doing this. We have almost ruled out that the issue is specific to Client but not Server. If you want to check the Managed Folder Mailbox Policy for a mailbox run the command below:
    Get-Mailbox -ResultSize Unlimited -Server ServerName |?{$_.ManagedFolderMailboxPolicy -ne $Null}
The above command will help us get all the mailboxes where there is a ManagedFolderMailboxPolicy Applied
To Get the ManagedFolderMailboxPolicy for a Specific Mailbox Run the command below:
    Get-Mailbox MailboxName | Fl Name,DisplayName,ManagedFolderMailboxPolicy
If Deleting the outlook profile/ost fixed the issue, then it might have been most likely an issue with corrupted outlook rule. if you want to do it for all the mailboxes across org, i would suggest you force that via group policy using a PRF File.

  • Help with adding a custom frame to an image slider

    Hi all,
I'm currently designing a vintage themed website, i need to have a slider that displays certain images and intend on using the Menucool slider.
Only problem is, i need the slider to have a vintage type border or frame...similar to this:
    https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=vintage+style+frame&client=firefox-a&hs=ATp&rls=org.mozi lla:en-GB:official&channel=sb&…
    How do i do this?
Do i just center the image on the page and then add the slider to the image or will they end up side by side instead?
Any help will be much appreciated!
    Thanks!
    Vikki

Unless you need to click the text or have HTML/links in the slider then I wouldn't overlay an absolute div over the top as it will conflict. Some sliders use absolute positioning as well and can cause issues when it comes to z-index/slides switching.
If you want the border to be animated (i.e. slide with the image) you are going to want to wrap your slides around a div and then style that, or if its to border the slider itself then just wrap a div around the complete slider.
This will ensure then background image (frame) will stay behind the content and any html/links are still clickable.

  • Global ATP does not honor supply from some orgs

Global ATP does not honor supply from some orgs
    ATP based on planning data.
Planning completes OK and shows enough supply (in planning workbench).
ATP plan based on Bill of Distribution defined like this:
    Source for ORG1 is ORG2 ->
    Source for ORG2 is ORG3 ->
    Source for ORG3 is Supplier
When inquiring ATP in ORG1 it considers supply only from ORG2,
    nor ORG3/Supplier.
Despite the plan contains supply from all orgs.
    Any solution ?

I think you need to set up a direct relationship between ORG1, ORG3 and the supplier. ORG3 and supplier would be lower ranked options.
    For Example-
    ORG1 from ORG2 rank 1 100%
    ORG1 from ORG3 rank 2 100%
    ORG1 from Supplier rank 3 100%
The results will also depend on whether the plan is constrained and/or optimized.

  • ATP DATE IS NOT CONSIDERING OTHER ORGS in sales order

WE HAVE ENTRED THE ORDER IN AT organization AND ATP DATE IS TAKEN FOR AT ONLY,IT HAS NOT CONSIDERED OTHER ORG AVAILABLE DATE
    ### Steps to Reproduce ###:
    AT OM SHIPPING MANAGER->
    quick sale order->
enter item -> shedule ship date showing 26-Jun-2011
but when we click on global availability screen-> item is not avalable in AT, but item is avalable on other country FR but system is not take care of this date its shows the date is 26-jun-11 (which is the today date + lead time)
expectation si if the item is avalable in FR so sysem would give the date today + lead time of AT To FR, eg FR to AT lead time is 2 days then system would be populate the date 29-Apr-11. (not 26-Jun-11)
Please help. customer is having UAT going on.

    Hi Prasad ,
This enables you to debug the ATP tree . If you have created an entry here with your user name then it will not let ATP tree get converted into PP/DS orders automatically .
It's very surprising because all  seems fine . Just cross check all the settings once with below .
The conversion time depends on the following horizons and dates:
    ·  PP/DS Horizon
    ·  Scheduling horizon for the conversion of ATP tree structures
    ·  Requirements dates in the ATP tree structure
PP/DS immediately converts the ATP tree structure when the sales order is saved
    ·  If the earliest requirements date for components is within the scheduling horizon or
    ·  If the latest requirements date for finished products is within the PP/DS horizon
If none of these conditions are fulfilled when saving the sales order, the system saves the ATP tree structure in SAP APO. In this case you can only convert the ATP tree structure online or in the background when one of the conditions given above is fulfilled. Here, there is an offset for the horizons with which you can achieve an earlier conversion.
You maintain the scheduling horizon for the conversion of ATP tree structures in Customizing for Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling under Maintain Global Parameters and Defaults. You maintain a location product specific PP/DS horizon in the location product master. If no location product specific PP/DS horizon exists, the system uses the PP/DS horizon from the planning version. You maintain these in Model and Planning Version Management.

  • Repeated purchasing groups across purchasing org

    Hi there,
My client's setup requires the same set of purchasing groups across purchasing organizations. For example:
    Purchasing Org 1:
    PGRP1: SM1
    PGRP2: SM2
    Purchasing Org 2:
    PGRP1: SM1
    PGRP2: SM2
Reason being this is how it is setup in our R/3 system where all organization shares the same purchasing group.
How can I configure this in SRM?

    Yes.

Not sure it is mandatory for confirmaton and invoice. Check by doing a complete purchasing flow.

  • How to implement Parties/Accounts with across multiple orgs in our company.

I'm looking for some guidance as to how to configure/setup our clients in TCA for multiple orgs in our company.
    Example:
We have 2 orgs in defined in our ERP. One is called Interactive, the other is called Traditional.
We want the general ledgers separate for these orgs
We want orders placed by clients to roll up to the correct org
We have clients that place orders for both Interactive products and Traditional Products.
For a single "client" that does business in both orgs, should we simply create 1 party and 2 customer accounts? Then use the org_id field in hz_cust_accounts to specify the organization code?
Or should we have a single customer account for that party, with 2 customer sites defined at the org level? Or do separate them at the site_uses level?
I've heard there are issues with Sales Online being used in 11.5.9 for multi org setup, does anyone know about htis.
    Help.

    Dear,
I think for each account, you can have 1 bill_to site use. If you want to differentiate between them considering rollup to GL, then i guess defining 2 accounts for each customer would be you best shot.

  • Planning across Inventory Orgs

    Hi All:
We are implementing OPM 11.5.10 for a Food Manufacturer. In regards we have set up an inventory org for each of their divisions. They plan to use ASCP for Planning.
Currently ASCP has been setup for each Inventory Org. Typically, In order to view planning recommendations , they have to launch plan for each inventory org. Lets say the customer has two inventory orgs, then the plan needs to be run twice ( 2 ) once for Inv org1 and second time for Inv org2.
My Question : Is there a way so that we can launch the plan only once but be able to plan for all inventory orgs in one shot ?
Thanks in advance for all the help.
    Sandeep Penumalli

is there any reason why customer does nt want to run a single ASCP plan? I guess they should be running one single ASCP plan for both the orgs and you can set up instead of viewing plans view by queries. On the workbench instead of Plans use queries Tab. There are various queries possible to restrict to see one org's plan recommendation alone .
    Thnx

  • Custom ATP integration with oracle

    HI All,
We have a requirement for developing Custom ATP for our client requirement. Anybody has developed this kind of custom ATP in Oracle? Can you share your experience if you come across such requirement? I think if we develop our own ATP in place of Oracle ATP, we have to check ATP override functionality, how ATP deals with Configure to Order, Internal Org transfers and all...If anybody worked such requirement in oracle please share your thoughts.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Mani

There are few functionalities are incompatible in real time by Oracle ATP. U have 2 SOs pegged to diff supplies at Day 5 & Day10. Then due to the supply change to Day 6 & Day 10, the moment you unschedule the SO1, SO2 pegged to Day 6 supply and SO1 pegged to Day 10 supply. So this does not honor the real time optimization. As our demands are huge, we need our own ATP to handle this. You have any idea how the integration between Oracle OM and custom ATP. I just want to have a check list and integration points.

  • Inconsistency between ATP and ASCP

Thanks for looking at this message. Bit lengthy but will be interesting :-)
In our implementation we use ATP based on planning output and its a constrained ASCP plan (ECC) .
Assuming that sale sorders are available in the system and they have been entered say last month/ or even few months before with request date as the sale order entry date . We did nt have onhand at the time due to which the promise dates have been Sep-09.
Assume that we have made a receipt from supplier/or there is PO in receiving (considered as available date of today by ATP) . In this situation in case a new sales order is entered today with request date of today provided the onhand or expected receipt today is more than sales order qty , the promise date upon sales order entry is today. We do OM loopback and send back sch ship date from ASCP which gives correct dates (Sep or Oct based on lead times). But issue is in the promise date .
Issue 1: customer is questioning while there are so many existing sales orders which are already in arrears and their request dates are all in past months why does a new sales order get a promise date of today?
When ASCP runs overnight it plans based on request date and the onhand/exp receipt is pegged to earliest sales order and not the new one put in today(which is fine and as expected) , but due to the mismatch between ATP and ASCP always there is going to be mismatch in meeting promise date and Sales performance measures go for a task.
Also there all the customers are sent Order Acknowledgement (emailed upon booking order) based on the wrong promise date which causes lot of issues in explaining to each customer.
Issue 2:lets say onhand is 2 and there are 2 sales order lines one for qty 8 (req date 21-jul) and other for qty 2 (req date 23-jul) . I schedule order line 8 (req date 21-jul) first then ATP promises line after LT (say Sep-09) and the qty 2 line is promised today but when ASCP is scheduling it has ability to see request date due to which it can peg 2 onhand to earlier request date and then wait for new supply till Sep-09. The one with later request date will show ship date in Sep-09.
Have attached the screen shots explaining the issue 1 and 2
    Best regards
    Vinay

    Hi Vinayak
Both of your observations are correct. As I managed ATP development for several years, let me help explain these things to you:
    1. For 1st issue, where a new incoming sales order can get better date than earlier promised sales order, please understand that ATP is based on supply/demand picture at a point in time when SO was originally processed. If supply/demand picture has changed significantly, you need to use a tool like Oracle Backlog WB to manage and re-process currently scheduled SO to re-assess where they should be promised. Once Sales Order is promised, ATP uses schedule ship date to see when material is needed and uses a supply closes to ship date (JIT). If earlier supplies are available, they're up for grabs by new SO.
Thus, the behavior is working as designed and you need to develop your business process to ensure that backlog management is practiced on a regular basis to avoid such issues.
    2. For 2nd issue where you see that ATP isn't using supply to satisfy smaller qty sales order, please understand that ATP is "First-come-First-Serve" and it is working on 1 specific order at a time. When initial order of qty=8 came in, it had no way to know what lies in future or if another SO with qty=2 will come later. Compare this with ASCP which is working a complete set of supplies and demands and can analyze this picture in totality.
I'm sure you'll like your ATP request to come back in few seconds (or may be a min or so) and not take a few hours while you enjoy the hourglass on your screen. No surprise that ASCP plan run takes few hours since it needs to go thru such hoops and try to optimize across these ideas while ATP is a quick answer as what can be done for this in-coming demand considering everything else in the system is frozen.
Please note ATP and ASCP plan serve very different purpose and business process needs to be enahnced to take advantage of best of both these tools.
Please feel free to contact me directly for any further issues in this respect.
