ATR command when programming PC/SC reader

Hi,
I have checked the programming interface for the MIFARE Ultralight and TOPAZ/Jewel IC tags. The API quite nicely describes how the bytes are saved on the card, how to address the memory blocks, how to make all operations like read, read-all, use of the OTP (One Time Programmable) function, how to read ROM bytes, how to switch from idle to ready state (REQA, WUPA commands), it says if commands are CRC protected, how to access the tag UID, etc.
When stared to program the NFC reader (ACR122U or SCL010) I found that all communication between PCD (reader) an PICC (tag) starts with the ATR (Answer-To-Reset) command, which is as described on Internet a command that the PCD sends to PICC for identification purposes. But none of the tags documentation mentions the ATR command – all communication with tags when they become powered (PQR) starts with REQA, WUPA commands in order to switch the card to the Ready mode.
My understanding is that ATR is built by PC/SC based on the NFC card the reader communicated with. Once the reader detect what type of technology is the tag based on it creates the ATR. Also according to documentation ATR for different NFC readers are different for the same NFC tags.
Am I right? Does the PC/SC build the ATR?
BR
STeN

AFAIK ATR is sequence of bytes which card returns after it is powered on. And there are 2 cases:
1. card, indeed, returns such bytes. Cards which work on T=0, T=1, (T=CL?) protocols do it.
2. some type of cards, including mifare, do not return ATR. Mifare works on ISO-14443-3 protocol, which does not specify any ATR bytes. In this case, as you said, reader (or reader driver?) may construct the ATR. So, to say "reader build ATR" is more right than "PC/SC build ATR".

  • C:\program not recognized as command when trying to Run "asadmin"

    Hi everyone,
I have installed sun one application server 7 on my windows XP machine. I have set class path for j2sdk1.4.2.
but when i try to start application server or run "asadmin" from dos prompt, it get error like
'C:\Program' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
    I have my j2sdk installed in C:\Program Files\Java\j2sdk_nb\j2sdk1.2.4.
From information on the web i am sure that this is not related to Sun One studio, but more with my settings.
Can anyone plz help me what to do

It's probably because your path contains a space. I believe that you will have to enclose that path setting in double quotes in order for your classpath to be correctly set.

  • Creating a command line program reading AEP/AEPX files?

I'm new with After Effects SDK, and I wanted to know if it's possible to use SDK to implement a command line program that gets information such as duration and frame rate in AEP/AEPX files.
aerender, a command line render program provided by After Effects, prints out these information before rendering. But it doesn't seem to be able to print out the information without doing rendering.
    I saw a related thread here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/844341
But what I want is simpler. I don't need to alter the AEP/AEPX files. I just want to obtain the information quickly from an AEP/AEPX file. Is it possible to write such a tool using SDK?
    Thanks!

    hi eliang.cs!
yes, i'm the same guy who answered on the other thread.
everything the API does, it does through AE as a plug-in.
so if you have AE running (even just the renderer), your project loaded and your plug-in present, you can access all the data you described with no problem, and export it out in whatever way you want. (a plug-in is actually a DLL, so you can do anything you want, even on an OS level)
you can access the data on all elements of the project including comps, layers, footage, render queue, ect...
having said that, you can do all of this using a script instead of a plug-in.
scripts are much easier to build.
perhaps there's even a script out there that does what you're looking for, or something very close that could easily be adjusted.

  • How to call Operating System commands / external programs from within APEX

    Hi,
Can someone please suggest how to call Operating Systems commands / external programs from within APEX?
E.g. say I need to run a SQL script on a particular database. SQL script, database name, userid & password everything is available in a table in Oracle. I want to build a utility in APEX where by when I click a button APEX should run the following
    c:\oracle\bin\sqlplusw.exe userud/password@database @script_name.sql
Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Guys,
I have reviewed the option of using scheduler and javascript and they do satisfy my requirements PARTIALLY. Any calls to operating system commands through these features will be made on the server where APEX is installed.
However, here what I am looking at is to call operating systems programs on client machine. For example in my APEX application I have constructed the following strings of commands that needs to be run to execute a change request.
    sqlplusw.exe user/password@database @script1.sql
    sqlplusw.exe user/password@database @script2.sql
    sqlplusw.exe user/password@database @script3.sql
    sqlplusw.exe user/password@database @script4.sql
What I want is to have a button/link on the APEX screen along with these lines so that when I click that link/button this entire line of command gets executed in the same way it would get executed if I copy and paste this command in the command window of windows.
Believe me, if I am able to achieve what I intend to do, it is going to save a lot of our DBAs time and effort.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Adobe AIR - java is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file

    Hi,
I've done everything as in the HelloWorld tutorial but when i run this cmd: adt
it gives me the following error java is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file
I've installed the AIR runtime v2
Downloaded the SDK v2 and placed in D:\Www\air
Modified the path variable with D:\Www\air\bin
And then i open a new cmd console and simply write adt and gives me that error.
I've updated to the latest version of Java, but it did solve it.
But what's strage it's that the adl command work, but i'm not being able to pack my application.
    I'm running Windows 7 on x64 platform.
    Sincerely,
    Alex

I think the 32bit version will work, but it sounds like you'll need to add the Java bin folder to your system path.  This is usually done by the Java installer, so I'm not sure what failed, did you run the installer located at www.java.com?  Either way, this document might be able to help you out:
How do I set or change the PATH system variable
Add the Java "bin" folder to your path, you might also need to add the CLASSPATH.
Please let me know how it goes!

  • Tagging command line programs in subtle?

I'd like to be able to tag command line programs so I can assign them to specific views and gravities within those views.
For example, I'd like to be able to have 'gclacli calm' be recognized by a tag so it appears in my 'agenda' view and assign it a gravity. Is there a way to do this? Right now the best I can do is limit xterm to different views but they still move around when I change  views.

None of these options have worked.
for the user variables, i just create a new one called "Path" and type in my path to java \bin right?
This is quite frustrating. Thanks for the help though!

  • Is there a way to "embed" -Xmx command into program

    Hi fellow members,
I have been working on a program to analyze web page structural similarity and has been posting on this forum for some help recently. At the moment I manage to parse html into DOM tree and perform tree edit distance analysis.
But I'm facing a problem which is heap memory running out. More complex web pages run up to >1000 nodes and the recursive comparing which has a time complexity of N^2 will cause outofmemory error. I have already reduced the number of nodes such as excluding text nodes as I'm primarily concerned with the structural similarity.
By using -Xmx to increase the heap memory helps to solve the problem partially. I would prefer to embed this command into the program so that user does not need to type it out every time. Is there a way to do this?
    Thanks in advance.

I see, thanks a lot guys, I will read up on batch file processing.
But I'm wondering if I'm going to make it into a .exe file which will include the GUI in the near future, will I still need to write a batch file or any swing component can set the memory?
One more wild question, is there a way to set heap memory to be dynamic, as in increasing according to the program needs?

If MacKeeper corrupted the Recovery partition then even I underestimated its potential for damage. Garbage "cleaning" apps will cause misery but I have not found that the Recovery partition to have been affected by using MacKeeper or anything like it. I doubt that it did so, but I have learned not to underestimate the potential for such things to result in system corruption.
Before concluding your Mac has a hardware failure, try booting OS X Internet Recovery by holding command option r on startup (three fingers). That will force your iMac to bypass the Recovery partition altogether, and convey the ability to create a new one.
An Internet connection will be required (wired or wireless).
At the Mac OS X Utilities screen, select Disk Utility. Select your startup volume (usually named "Macintosh HD") and click the Repair Disk button. Describe any errors it reports in red. If Disk Utility reports "The volume Macintosh HD appears to be OK" in green then you can be reasonably (though not completely) assured your hard disk is in good working order.
Assuming the HD remains usable you can then use Disk Utility to erase it. Reinstall OS X, restore your essential software and other files, and don't reinstall the junk.

  • Cope: a command-line program colouriser

cope is a wrapper around various command-line programs that takes their output and adds colours - a sort of ornamental cope, if you will.
It's written in Perl, and requires version >= 5.10, so installation may be a bit complicated if you have to track down the dependencies. It installs several scripts in a directory, each one calling the program it's named after, only highlighting its output using regexes. Then you add this directory to your $PATH, and everything should (hopefully!) be seamless.
Currently it's in release candidate status - I've been using it personally for a few weeks and nothing catastrophic has happened so far, so there's little point me keeping it private.

  • Fast command-line program which displays connectivity

    Hi
I'm looking for a command-line program which can show whether or not my network interface has an IP address or not. It could use "ifconfig" to extract the information, I don't really care, but it has to be *fast* and it cannot require root access.
    Thanks

Thanks, but if someone knows some sed/awk magic to get only the interface's IP address, that would be great!
    EDIT:
Using the little "sed" I know, this is what I came up with:
    ifconfig wlan0 | grep -w inet | sed "s/^\\s*//" | sed "s/^inet addr://" | sed "s/\\s.*//"
    EDIT2:
Now I have this reasonable command:
    ifconfig wlan0 | grep -w inet | sed "s/.*inet addr:\([^ ]*\).*.*/\1/"
