Attach a digital signature to SQL mail

How do I use an email certificate to sign email sent using SQL Mail? I have a certificate installed so that I can sign email sent from Outlook. This is on SQL Server 2005 using either Database Mail or SQL Mail.

How do I use an email certificate to sign email sent using SQL Mail?
Hello Jeffrey,
It's not possible with SQL DB-Mail, you have to use an other (own developed) application to send signed e-mails.

  • Digital Signature with Mapi Mailer

Hi All, I have been using LR and Mapi Mailer since version 1 to mail images directly out of LR. I have recently added a html digital signature to my mails that are sent from outlook express, but cannot figure if it is at all possible to attach the signature to mails sent via LR and Mapi Mailer. Is this possible?
    Kind regards
    Kevin
Nikon gear and PC running on XP Professional

The latest MapiMailer plug-in opens photo attachments (one or more) directly in your email client (Outlook Express) so your html signature should appear automatically at the bottom of your new message if you have already configured the account settings to do that in Outlook Express.

  • Excel file(.xls) as attachment and Body(Signature) via Receiver Mail Adapter

    Hi PI Experts,
I have a requirement File(.txt) - PI(7.4) - mail (.xls attachment and signature in the body). Can anyone pls help me with the best approach to send excel file as mail attachment and signature in the body.
    Thanks,
    Sri

    Hi
    You can try this approach
    1. use mail package and java mapping to populate the mail package.
inside the java mapping do the following
    a. read the text file and convert it to excel and then set it as additional attachment.
    b. map the signature and body with the field 'content' of mail package.
    2. on the receiver mail adapter check both mail package and keep attachment options.
    Hopefully this will work.

  • Where do I find the digital signature toggle in mail

I saw this post in one of the threads, but for some reason it wouldn't let me post a question....
"Did you maybe accidentally click on the little toolbar icon to digitally sign the email message in the New Message window in Mail?
I did, and the keychain that had the certificate used for signing was in the System keychain - which isn't unlocked like my login keychain usually is - so that's why it was prompting whenever I sent an email (each subsequent email attempts to digitally sign until you've untoggled that again)."
How do I find this toggle? my mail asks me to enter my password every time I use a particular account.

    Duh,,,, thank you

  • Digital Signatures for Changing the statuses in Issue Mgmt

    Hi
Has anyone put in place digital signatures for Issue
Managemnt when we change the status values in an issue.
We are looking at SAP Note 835584 - Digital signature for documents,
but that is not applicable for us as we want to initiate the digital
signature when the status profile "SLFI0001" kicks in and the status is
changed from one to the other.(eg in process to completed etc)
We have created the digital signature and the strategies, but are
looking for a place to attach this with the status profile "SLFI0001".
Is there a place we can attach the digital signature strategies to this
    status profile?
Anyone has any ideas on how it can be done?
    Thanks in advance..
    sap ques..

We have a document that needs to be signed by more than one individual -- and in our process we are using the Topacz signature pad to get the signature.  It's similar to the one you sign at the grocery store, drug store, etc.  In order to NOT have the first signature invalidated, we were told to edit the registry...and it works perfectly!
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\8.0\AVAlert\cCheckbox]
    "iDigSigSaveAsCertified"=dword:00000001
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\8.0\AVAlert\cCheckbox\cAnnots]
    "iReaderEnableSaveWarn"=dword:00000001
Obviously if you are using a different version of Acrobat, you'll have to change the key accordingly.
Hopefully this will work with your process.
    Good luck!!

  • Digital Signatures in SOAP

    Hi,
    I'm new to web services.
I've setup Axis on Tomcat and I have it running.
What I have is an encrypted msg which I would like to sign and then send the signature and msg via soap.
Alternatively, I can just sign the digital msg in my own code and then just pass the digital signature to SOAP
how would I go about doing this? What method would I use to add a digital signature to a msg? Is there some spec on attaching a digital signature to SOAP.
I tried folloing the example below, but I'm a bit confused as to why the service has been invoked before the msg has been signed.

  • Digital signature from Topaz not appearing in PDF

    Hi,
I've created some PDFs in Acrobat Pro XI but I'm having problems attaching a digital signature using a Topaz signature pad.
The user is using Acrobat X (not Reader).
They are able to draw the signature box on the PDF and they can create the signature using the Topaz signature pad but then the signature doesn't get applied to the PDF (it just leaves the signature box blank).
I've checked the security settings on the PDF and everything is set to Allowed including Signing.
I've also tried the forms in Acrobat Reader (after enabling the Extended Reader options) with the same results.
Not sure what the problem is.  The user can sign other PDFs (that I didn't create) using the Topaz signature pad.
    Thanks for any help!

    Hi Sebastian,
We've had the same issue and found no solution for this. There just isn't a way to add an image to a by SAP generated PDF file. The only thing that did work was adding the image to a report and adding the report to the web template. In that case the image is printed but on a seperate page.
    Kind regards,
    Alex

  • Apple mail strips my digital signature from pdf attachments

I communicate with clients through email.  I send reports which contain a picture of my signature and a digital hass.  Apple mail strips the signature from the pdf files as I attach them.
An aside.  I use mobile me and the idisk server.  All documents located on the idisk are also stripped of the signature block.
This is not a problem if I use outlook, which I guess I have to switch back to again.
What does apple have against a digital signature

I sign the pdf with a digital signature which includes a picture of my written signature.  When I attach it to Apple mail or upload to mobileme, the signiture disappears.  My clients see nothing.  When I go back to the email in the sent box and open the pdf in the email there is no signature.  When I open the original pdf the signature is there
This problem does not exist in outlook 2011, but would have liked to use mail as outlook does not support caldev
I don't know if I can explain it any better.

  • Temporarily disable Digital Signature Checks to Install MS SQL Server 2008 with no Internet Access

I am attempting to install a licensed copy of MS SQL Server 2008 in a Private Enclave that does NOT have Internet access on a Win2008 R2 SP1 server (that is VM - thus I can't reboot and press F8 to select "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement"
). The installation fails with an error of the vc_red.cab file being found either corrupt or a bad digital signature.  The file is good, but the signature has an expiration of 2011.   I understand that a DOTNET SDK v1.1 program called setreg.exe
will enable disabling the digital signature check, but I am not permitted to use that program.
I might be permitted to use the "Signtool.exe" utility, but it is not clear what command sequences are necessary to disable and then re-enable the Digital Signature checks.
I saw a thread that recommended using the command:
    bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks ON
However, the comments indicated that this might not have worked.
Are there Registry settings I can use with regedit to make the necessary changes to be able to install the application?  I anticipate running into this problem with other software when I do not have Internet connectivity.   I already tried
downloading the Microsoft CRL files; updated the lists on the Server; and rebooted.  This did not solve my problem.

    Hi,
As far as I know, it is not recommended to disable digital signature check.
Since we are not familair with installing MS SQL server, please also refer to SQL forums below to see if experts there have more insights regarding the matter.

  • How to get digital signature for Google Map geocoding V3 in PL/SQL?

    Hi, Gurus:
Could anyone provide me an example about how to generate digital signature for Google Maps service v3 in PL/SQL? We tried to upgrade our program using Google maps service from v2 to v3. We are using PL/SQl on background to send request to Google for geocoding. We found some sample code to register with digital signature, but none of them is based on PL/SQl. Notice I used Google business client ID "gme-XXX" and wallet.

  • Digital Signatures and Encryption in Yosemite Mail

After upgrading to Yosemite, I am having difficulty using the Mac Mail app to send digitally signed and encrypted email.
Before the upgrade to Yosemite, I was able to send signed and encrypted emails using certificate/keys in my keychain using both the Mac Mail app and Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac.
After upgrading, I am still able to send signed and encrypted message in Outlook, but the Mac Mail app gives the following error when I attempt to send a signed email:
'You don’t have a trusted certificate in your keychain that matches the email address “XXXX@XXXX”. Without a certificate, you can’t sign messages sent from this address.'   (Actual name replaced)
When I look at my certificates in my keychain, a certificate is available with "Usage: Digital Signature" that has the email address from the error message "XXXX@XXXX" with exact case in the RFC 822 Name.
Another interesting piece of data that might help track this down is that when I first launch the Mac Mail application, the Mac Mail application is able to successfully decrypt emails that have been previously sent encrypted to me.  HOWEVER, after I attempt to send an email and get the "You don’t have a trusted certificate..." error message, these emails are no longer able to be decrypted.  I get the "Unable to decrypt message" header above the message and the content of the message is just a "smime.p7m".  If I close the mail application and restart it, these encrypted message are once again decrypt-able until I attempt to send a message.
It almost seems like things are working until mail tries to access the keychain.
I have attempted to delete my certificate and keys from my keychain and then adding those items again.
I have attempted to close the mail application and reopen it.
I have attempted to reboot my computer.

    1.  I want to confirm that this is still an issue for me in 10.10.1 and mail Version 8.1 (1993)
    2.  I have another data point.
At my office I have wired networking and wireless networking available.  Primarily I utilize the wired networking for access to network drives, etc.
When using the wired networking, I experience all the problems that have been catalogued in this thread.  Can't sign, can't encrypt, can't close the compose window after the mail program fails to find my certificate.
However, when I switch to wireless networking before starting the mail application, digital signatures and encryption seem to work!  This is pretty weird behavior.  Make sure to restart mail if you were previously wired.
    Here are some theories:
Something to do with OCSP?  When I am wired vs wireless I am on different ip subnets and subject to different firewall rule sets.  Perhaps OCSP is trying to determine the status of the certificate and failing?
Here are some things I have tested:
I switched to a different official apple brand thunderbolt to ethernet adapter with no change in behavior
I disabled wireless and disconnected my wired network.  So no network access at all.  Signatures and encryption work!  The message obviously does not send, but it appears in my outbox and I don't get the signature error.  When I reconnect my wired cable, the message sends successfully and appears as encrypted in my sent folder!
I have attempted to disable OCSP by using "Keychain Access --> Preferences --> Certificates Tab --> OCSP (OFF) and CRL (OFF)" but this hasn't made a difference in the behavior of wired networking.
Ran a TCPDUMP on traffic to the OCSP service but didn't see any traffic when I attempted to send a message and received the signature error
I am pretty stumped on this.  This is very odd behavior
Does anyone else experience this behavior?

Do you know if there is possibility to validate XML Digital Signature using XML DB (or PL/SQL) in Oracle 11g?
Let say I have CLOB/XMLType containing Digitally Signed XML, and I want to validate, that thsi is proper signature. I also have public key of signer (I could store it in CLOB or file or Oracle wallet).
    Is it possible to do?

    Hi,
this is what i got from someone...
but the links he gave are not opening up...
u have to place a picture there and have to load the digital signatures as Jpegs on to the server to OA top
and have to refer them in the XML for dynamically get the signature on the reports
when u select the properties of the picture placed in the XML template,
there will be one tab with "URL"... in that u have to give the path for that jpegs

  • Digital Signature in Mail not showing

I have followed all the guidelines for a downloaded digital signature and added it to keychain access, but the option to choose to encrypt or sign mails still doesn't pop up in Mail. And yes my pop account email and full name is the same as i used when ordering the Dig. Signature.
In Keychain Access i cant see a Public key of it... only private key. Is this an issue?

Yes, I have the same issue, but if I look in Address Book (under Me) there is an encryption icon next to the email address, if you click it, it showes the certificate. It must be a bug in Mail.
