Attach different names (languages) to a folder (in KM)

Hi
I am looking for a way to combine different names to the same folder. My problem is that that the portal users are from different countries and they want the folders in the KM part to be shown in their one language.
I saw a solution on properties where you could use extended meta data, but the function doesnt exist on folders.
Does anyone have an idea on how to solve this?

Hi John,
I've faced this problem on customer site some weeks ago. The workaround provided was quite simple. We built same folders structures one for every lenguage. For example we built the following structures under "documents" repository manager:
in English:
documents
->EN
-->folder1
--->folder11
--->folder12
in italian:
documents
->IT
-->cartella1
--->cartella11
--->cartella12
Afterward we needed to automatically access the right structure depending on current user language. To do that we developed a custom component which simply build an URL necessary to open KM Navigation iview starting from EN, if user has english as language, or IT, if user has italian. This URL is loaded within an IFRAME contained into component's JSP.
Just to summarize:
1)build one folders structure for every language
2)develop a custom component which build, using URLGenerator API, an URL, depending on user language, to open the KM navigation iview starting from root of folder structure (EN or IT)
3)write a JSP which contains an IFRAME and load the preceding URL within it

Seems this a sync/conflict issue between your local OneNote and OneDrive. You must change your local folder name and avoid any existing files in that clould-folder may be overwritten by local files in the notebook you open, if the files have the same
name.
You'd better to change the name on one of sites.

How to create a new folder with a different name everyday

Hello everybody,
I have another question if you don't mind. But first thank you again to V.K and red menace for helping me with the my previous post.
This is actually the same project, I just keep on seeing new obstacles when I'm almost done.
Below is my workflow. My workflow is exporting a quicktime movie to a folder in our server.
What I need to do at the end is to move the exported file into a folder but a folder needs to be created and it has to change at about midnight everyday.
For example today the file will go to Server>Client folder>File folder named 09-04-2008
Then the next day, I need to put the new exported files to Server>Client folder>File folder named 09-05-2008.
First, how can I create a sequential named folders and second how can I tell Automator to put the files in the right folders. This process is a 24 hour process.

2) Get Folder Contents (tried checked and uncheck on Repeat for each subfolder
3) Get Specified movie ( I guess Filter finder items and choose .mov will work too)
4) Quicktime Export (exporting it to the Exported Folder)
5) Get Specified Finder Items (Pointing to File folder to get to the original file)

7) Filter Finder Items (choose .mov)
8) Move Finder Items ( pointing to Archive Folder to move the original file)

It doesn't look like there is an easy way to do this. The sort and filter actions don't let you use variables, and I haven't found any actions that will alter a list. Making a text file with the name of the newest folder seems kind of clunky, but it is an option.
What I was thinking about was an action that would take the first item in a list - then you could get your backup folders, sort by creation date, and just take the top one in the list (the newest one). Hmmm - this should be fairly straight-forward, so maybe I'll write an action
In the mean time, give the Run AppleScript action in the following workflow a try.
Tested workflow:
1) Ask for Finder Items (Type: Folders)
2) Get Folder Contents
3) Sort Finder Items (by creation date in ascending order)
4) Run AppleScript (the following script)

How can i give 2 different names for the same attribute in querypannelVC

Hi Thanks for the reply..So are you saying like add the same "FullName" attribute twice with different Alias Names(Owner,Assignee) ?But here we are having the FullName as common and depends upon role we are displaying "Owner" or "Assignee".If i create two instances for same attribute will it not be like redundancy ?

Keep getting a read only message and have to save with different name

I am editing some pdf files, and every time I save I get the message: "The file may be read only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."
However, when I right click the file and click properties, it is not listed as a read only file. Nor is the directory read only. Having to save each file as a different name is driving me nuts. Is there a fix?

Is this file saved on a network drive, or a shared folder?
If so, it's possible someelse in the network has it open at the same time as you.

UDF to capture the source file name or the source folder for mapping

Hi All,
i have 2 files - File1 from File2 from 2 different folders- single comm channel FTP (FCC). i have to pass a constant A and B respectively to a field in target structure.
my options are -
either create a new field in source str populating different constants and then map to the target str
or a udf to get the source file name or the source folder so that i can map the constant using the value mapping/FixValue mapping.

Hi,
please use the UDF to determine the file name. Then based on file name either pass A or B to your target field.
The code is as given below. Just tweak the code to pass either A or B as per your requirement.

How do I change the name of the Home folder OSX 10.9

Hi there,
I am trying to change the name of the Home folder on my Macbook Pro running OSX 10.9 I had a clean install of 10.9, and used migration assistant to restore my settings from a Time Machine Backup.
The problem is that the Home folder for my user is now named "Cody 1" when it used to be "Cody". This seems like a minor issue, but all the programs that reference data in the old location, are forcing me to go and find the data manually. Everything from iPhoto to VirtualBox, all files have to be found manually.
I have tried the instructions set forth in this article, http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1428, but the dialog that should, according to the article, allow me to redirect the account to the existing folder, returns an error saying that the user name is already in use. There is no option to use the existing folder. I have tried re-naming the folder to something different, to no avail.
Ideas?

The Apple Support document you referenced is cumbersome, outdated, buggy, and too likely to result in the sort of problems you described.
It may be too late now but see the following:

Note that he writes it has been tested on Mountain Lion but the procedure appears sound and should work equally well with Mavericks.
Back up your system before doing either one.
To fix what happened might be possible in Single user mode. I don't have specific instructions but you should be able to find and delete user accounts in the /Users directory.
Type carefully and don't proceed without knowing the risks.

Saving a Form with a Different Name

I created a 2 forms in Adobe LiveCycle ES2 and saved it. I also opened it in Adobe Pro and extended the rights for end users to save the form. When a user inputs information into the text fields and tries to save it as a different name, the form does not save the filled in data. I am trying to create a workflow between the end user and my department but we dont have access to a database. My goal is to have the user download the form, completed the form and save it with a specific naming convention ( XXXXX-Date), then open email and attach the form ( the submit button will not work with our email client). The department will then review the form and input data into the form and save it with the same name. They will email the form back to the end user. I am hoping to have access to a database within the next 6-12 months and eventually avoid the saving and email but i need to get this solve now.
I've attached the forms that i am working on.

Your issue is in the Binding tab of each field. You have it set to None which means exclude the data in this field from the data file. Change it to Normal and it will include that field in the data file.

Picking file with different names

Hi Experts,
I am doing file to file scenario without IR.I am just picking up the files from sap appl server and placing in third party server.
my question is i having ten files different names.so i haev to pick up all the files.i can not put the * in file name scheme as it has different file in the same folder which should not picked ip.
so how is is possible in file adapter do i need to create 10 different channels for 10 different file or any other way is there.

Hi,
If you dont want any file to be picked by sender file adapter use the Exclusion mask in it.
Go to advance selection for source file

Javamail API doesn't support special characters in attachment file name

Hi,
We are using Java Mail API to retrieve the attachment's file name, but it sometimes returns the file name as junk character (if the attachment contains special characters) and it is not able to return original file name for some attachments:
Our code sample :
void getFileName(Part part) {

fname = part.getFileName();
Actually the problem is with the attachment file name which contains special character. For example below is the attachment file name (please find the sample attached file which is causing this issue):
Sample – 1234abc.doc
From above you could see the file name contains a special character (Sample – 1234abc.doc), i.e. The character ‘–’ is not a regular hyphen character, it’s a special character. Hence the Java mail API returns the name as below:
Sample ? 1234abc.doc
So the special character is being replaced with ‘?’ symbol. But if I store this file in local folder and try reading the file name using Java IO packages, it returns the file name without adding ‘?’ symbol.
Is there any way to handle such kind of special characters in Mail API?

We dealt with this issue in a private email conversation.
JavaMail is returning the correct data for the filename. The problem is in the way the filename is being displayed.

To create multiple files with same content but with different names

here i have got a tricky situation on Idoc to File Scenario.
in my interface of an Idoc to file ,there is requirement to create multiple files with different file names but with same content based on one Idoc Segment.
which means there will be one Zsegment with two fields in the idoc,where one field with (content refers to the name which file name should start with .so lets say if this segment is repeated for 3 times then PI should create 3 files in the same directory with same content but with different file names (from the filed).
so here for now iam using one reciever file communication channel.
can any body give me the quick answer.

What do you mean by different names?
when i make proper setting in the Receiver Channel....on how to create the filename (what to append) like add Timestamp, counter, date, messageid.....even in this case you will ahve file with different names and that too from same File channel.
You can perform multi-mapping in XI/ PI and then your File channel will place the files in the target folder with relevant names. You cannot use Dynamic Configuration with Multi-Mapping!
If you intend to use different File channels, then do the configuration as required (normal)...even over here you can follow multi-mapping.
Do not use a BPM!

Unable to copy database with different name in the same instance

I had a huge database and wanted to try some change optimization changes.
So wanted to make a copy of the database along with data in the same instance.
I have tried copy database wizard several times but always see the error as in attachment.
Can someone let me know how to troubleshoot further?
If this is not the correct way please suggest how do i copy a database with different name in the same instance along with data.

From the screenshot, the error 1813 happens when corrupt database log is attempted to attach to the SQL Server. To work around this issue, please preform the following steps, for more details, please review this
blog.
1. Create a new database with same name which you want to recover. Make sure that the MDF file and LDF file have same name with previous database data and log file.
2. Stop SQL Server. Move original MDF file from old location to new location by replacing just created MDF file. Delete the LDF file of new location just created.
3. Start SQL Server. At this point, the database is in suspect status.
4. Make sure that system tables of Master database allows to update the values. Please note that you will be performing this in query window.
Use Master
go
sp_configure 'allow updates',1
reconfigure with override
go
5. Change database mode to emergency mode.
SELECT *
FROM sysdatabases
WHERE name = 'DatabaseName'
BEGIN
UPDATE sysdatabases
SET status = 32768

6. Restart SQL Server. Then execute the following DBCC command in query window to create new log file.

8. Turn off the update to system tables of Master database running following script.

9. Reset the database status to previous status.

UPDATE sysdatabases
SET status = (value retrieved in first query of step 5)

Make sure that you have done all the steps in order and restarted SQL Server where it is mentioned. Also run SQL Server Management Studio as administrator.(Right click-> Run as Administrator)

Attachment File Name - INTERNAL?

Hi,
I have successfully implemented the attachments feature in my custom form, following the documentation, however I have one problem that I cannot figure out and that is:
When I bring up the attachment list, all the Filenames are named 'INTERNAL'. When I click on the filename link, however, I see the real filename in the new window that asks you whether you want to open or save the attachment.
Does anyone know why all the filenames are 'INTERNAL' when there is a different name behind the scenes? How can I bring up the real names?

I got it to work by reading the OA Framework Developer's Guide and reading all the messages posted in the Forum related to attachments. You'll be able to achieve the same.

Decode attachment file name RFC 2231

according to the [RFC 2231|http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2231] , the headers are encoded to something like
From: =?US-ASCII*EN?Q?Keith_Moore?= <[email protected]>
How can decode such a string, in Java ? I've found only [this implementation|http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/geronimo/specs/tags/geronimo-javamail_1.4_spec-1.5/src/main/java/org/apache/geronimo/mail/util/RFC2231Encoder.java] from Apache Geronimo. Are there other implementations ?

Your subject talks about attachment file names, but your example uses the From header.
For attachment file names and other parameters, set the property mail.mime.decodeparameters
to "true". See the javadocs for the javax.mail.internet package for the list of properties you can set.
Unfortunately, JavaMail doesn't support the specification of a language ("EN") in addition to a charset
("US-ASCII") as in your example. That's a bug that I'll need to fix.
